I was asked what my New Years Resolution was for 2012 by a co-worker tonight and I had to think, I ended up saying:

"To continue being awesome, because you can't improve on perfect"

So after a drive home I was wondering, whats your New Years Resolution? I plan on the usual, eating healthy, taking more walks, and spending every single moment I can with my lover. So what about you guys?

This past year has been probably the hardest for me to cope with ever. I went through tremendous loss and pain, from several beloved pets, to a broken, beaten and shattered heart. But when a door closes a window opens and as my mother says; “everything happens for a reason”. It is the hardest quote to believe, because at the moment in time, it is impossible to see said reason for it is shadowed in darkness. It took me months and months to overcome my pain, and even still, I know there will always be a scar forever left on my heart. However, recently my dark cloud has lifted and I have found the light.

After a magnificent weekend away at the most romantic place on earth; Niagara Falls, I have found a new mate. Actually, I would like to think we found each other.  Avilon and I have discussed the potential of mateship and have both agreed to be in a wonderfully closed relationship.

He is just want I need and I for him as well. We both have a similar past and thus our understandings of one another goes above and beyond my wildest dreams. As him and I walked the falls hand in hand, everything just fell into place. My whole life, the heart ache, the pain, it all began to lift, and I smiled. I have not had a reason to smile in many long months; in fact I had been pretty miserable leading up to the holidays, but not anymore.

So here’s to you my dearest  Avilon thank you for all that you have done, thank you for being there, thank you for seeing the human behind the mask, for seeing what good is left from this once broken fusky. I am no longer just existing day to day, as you give me reason to live again.. to love again. I wish you the warmest of Christmas wishes and I cannot wait to ring in the New Year side by side, a new start, a new beginning... together.

I got what I wanted for Christmas... and thank you  shadowkatbt for keeping me going, thank you to  Husky-O for your kind words and to  Raverfox420 and  Mune for lifting my spirits and encouraging me that there was someone out there for me. So this past Tuesday and Wednesday were awesome. It was just what I needed, to get out of the house. It started with a kind of last minute trip down to Burlington to visit  shadowkatbt and his mate  Husky-O I got there around 4 in the afternoon to find  shadowkatbt was baking banana bread WITH chocolate chips, it smelled amazing. We chatted as we went to grab  Husky-O from school then dropped him off at home for his supper with his family.

Later that night we got a call to go grab the cute husky and bring him back for visits and hugs. He studied very hard for his exam while  shadowkatbt and I watched youtube videos and looked at the amazing puttering of Jim Henson. Gave me some great ideas for new fursuits I wish to make. It was great!

Around midnight it was time for  Husky-O to head home for sleepings, so we dropped him off and came back and talked. It was a talk I so dearly needed, and one that I believe that the both of us got lost in because before we knew it, it was 5am!

The next day we got up at around 10:30 and awaited the arrival of  Husky-O again and our new friend  Avilon We chatted, caught everyone up on life and then headed out for food. On the way back we stopped by the love shop and had one hell of a time giggling at all the different titles of their x rated movies *snickers*

We headed back to  shadowkatbt 's place where we once again watched tv a bit and  Avilon and I doodled in each others sketch books. It was a blast, I really loved it.

Around 6pm we decided to head down to Toronto to wander the eatons center with a few other furries, and again, it was awesome. We were laughing the whole way, making jokes, poking fun at others. I believe the furs who were with us were  mmm-dumpling  Gummy-Sweet and her friend.. Sorry I am terrible with names! But anyways we walked around until they pretty much kicked us out of the place, then it was time to head home. We were all pretty tired anyways.

 shadowkatbt and  Husky-O were kind enough to walk me to my car and that was the end of my night. I got home at exactly midnight to a most wonderful snow fall. There is no snow in the city but as soon as you head up north my way, we had a nice blanket of it.

So that was my "weekend" I work Saturdays and Sundays so its nice to get out and do things during the week. I am greatly looking forward to doing it once more. Thanks to everyone who helped to make it so special. *hugs hugs hugs*

Okay well I figured its time to post my report from MFF. I am still mourning the loss of my puppy, and I will for a long while to come, he will never leave my heart. But its time to attempt to cheer up, so I will do so in remembering my time away at the con of my life.

So starting on the Wednesday I headed down to London to meet up with  tiger_sammy and along the way grabbed  Frostscar from the torontoish area to take him home. It was nice to have company for the drive down to London. Once there I did some touring around for  Frostscar and then grabbed  tiger_sammy from work and headed back to his place for supper. After dinner I help finish up  cola_katz new suit and then we went back for sleeps.
Thursday morning started around 8:30am, I dropped Sam off at work and I headed out to the via rail station to grab 2 of my 3 carpool furries. At 10:00am my crusier adopted 2 canines, a fox and kitsune. It was the first time I ever met  raverfox420 and the second or third time I’ve met  mune It was such a blast heading down to the border where we picked up the last of are carpool team,  AngelKitt Now at this time I had already been in the car for about... 5 hours, and we had another 7 or 8 ahead of us, so we were all eager to get going and on the road.

Once more I will say that I was so impressed we got all 4 of us in my car, WITH all our fursuits. It was quite impressive.
Upon arriving at the border, we passed through easily without much question, the guard did make a funny face at my fursuit head in the back, but he was in a good move and waved us on. In the USA finally, the last and longest leg of our journey began.

Around 3 hours in I noticed the steering on my car getting stiff, not bad but noticeable. The I94 is very straight so I didn’t feel it a whole lot until I took a harder corner and my heart sank. My steering was shot... Anywhere but now, anywhere. Im in another country, with 3 other Canadians, my car is packed with furry items and I have NO steering. It took all my power to turn off the ramp to get into a Loves gas station and took the rest of my will power not to break down crying.

After adding some power steering fluid into my car and that not working, and a call to my daddy.. Yes when in doubt and stuck in another country who ya gonna call? My dad! After that we talked to the attendant in the station who pointed me in the direction of the closest mechanics. Just down the road was Fountain Automotive in Marshall Michigan. I showed up, told him our story, and left my car in their hands. I started unravelling at the seams at this point, choking up, trying my best not to cry. Now a HUGE props out to  mune for keeping me positive, you truly were a life
saver hunny.

Now stranded, starving, and with no wheels we stopped at the eatery just beside the mechanics and grabbed a bite. After hugs from all I started to relax and hope for the best. Checking over the menu I decided to try “The Worlds Best Carrot Cake” as claimed in several areas in the restaurant. And it really was the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. The waitress, and other patrons’ were so warm and welcoming. I guess knowing we were from out of town from our accents, hehe. I got a sticker (yes a pink one) of a start and put it on their map of people who have traveled far and wide just for their carrot cake. Not many came from Ontario, let alone out in the boonies from Ontario. Now at this point I was happy, in a better mood and it was only going to get better. I got a call from the mechanic next door saying my car was ready to be picked up and it only cost me $150. I told him “God bess your cotton socks” and I guess that threw him a little because he paused and giggled over the phone.

We hugged each other, I cried once more, and I paid the man. He could have charged me $600 and I would have had to pay it because I was stranded, but he didn’t. I thanked him over and over for that. What had happened, is a belt came off its footing and in the process knocked a cable off thus rendering my steering useless. So now with a working vehicle, we headed out on the road in the dark, and about 5 hours from our destination; MFF.

We stopped once for food, and gas then quickly got back on the road, I was SOO happy I had steering, cracking jokes here and there to comment on it. We all laughed.
Now getting closer to Rosemont my GPS threw me for a loop. I forgot to update it, and so it didn’t know there was a road closure ahead. I was forced off the highway into what can only be described as “zombie land” Closed down plants, decrepit fences, weeds growing through the pavement of the side walks... It. Was. Terrifying and only got worse.

While sitting at a red light, I shit you not, we watched a coke deal go bad. There was a guy standing under a street lamp talking to another dude, and an unmarked cop car swung around with lights on and all and stopped beside them. At this point the light turned green and I booked it back to the highway. Where we got back on, the main highway we were driving on earlier just ended. It was like out of a movie, it just stopped, broken concrete and all. It was really creepy.

Now we’re getting closer to society again, I can see lights and cars once more so I’m happy. Another few hours of driving in the city I can see the destination target on my GPS getting closer and closer. My heart was racing to just get there and get out of my car. We all knew we were in the right place when we saw fursuiters hanging out and around the hotel. I was elated. We made it, I had spend 11 hours in my car, had issues, and we had finally made it.

I won’t go into the details of the hotel as I’m sure there have been many photos but I will say that it was gorgeous. I was in love with the hotel, I didn’t want to leave. The fact the hotel let us furries take it over for a weekend was amazing. Just. Wow.

Friday morning started early, Oh and by the way, did I mention we changed time zones? Yeah we were an hour behind in Rosemont. I didn’t know. Anyways in the morning I got a text from  tundru to come grab him from the airport. I poked  raverfox420 a few times but he didn’t move, so I told  tundru to text him to get his furry put out of bed. After a few moments he got up, put some pants on and we headed out to the airport.

NOW, its early, I’m once more following my GPS and we still managed to get lost in the airport...  raverfox420 and I did 3 laps before  tundru was acquired. It was painful... never again.. Arrivals and Departures were backwards, it was so confusing. So now we are heading to a Walgreens to grab booze for the fox. Because fox runs of booze, hehe. Ya won't believe it, but I had even MORE car trouble... We hit a train track and my muffler dropped off. Oh I sounded bad ass! LOL. We grabbed the booze and then made a quick jaunt down the road to another mechanic.

So at this point I am on the verge of tears once more as a man missing a few teeth was patching up my car for me. Again, he could have charged me anything but only billed me for $40. Again, I was so happy to just have it fixed we made it back to the hotel and I vouched to not drive my car at all again until we had to leave. And I meant it.

The con itself was rocking, we did dances, a few panels, had a ton of laughs and cuddles. It was so awesome. Just spending time with  tundru ,  raverfox420 and  mune was so fun. I loved walking around in my fursuit, showing off the glow feature at the dance, drawing attention to me, it was fun!

Sunday afternoon we headed home, it was quiet, we were all sad, but we made good time, getting back into the country around 10:30pm. I could have kissed the soil. I was so happy. We dropped off  AngelKitt at home and went back to our hotel for the night. It was a super 8, just some place for us to sleep before driving the last 6 hour stretch to Toronto.

Once in Toronto we stopped by  mune and  raverfox420 ‘s new house before taking them to their apartment. I gotta say their new house is SOO nice, I can’t wait to go visit. Once I dropped them off at their apartment I headed the hour and a half home alone... My car was so empty, so light and quiet. Made me really sad to be alone.

When I got home I got the news that my puppy passed away on the Saturday of the con. And that was my weekend..

So yeah, for those of you still reading, congrats, I know it was a lot to go through. I can for sure say that every year I will be attending MFF for sure and I will be rooming with the same 3 furries. I loved it.

So I just got in from MFF and well... lets just say my mood has been killed. Giddeon, my baby boy, my infant of a puppy passed away on Saturday morning at 9:30 am. While I was away. I just found out. He had Bacterial Meningitis and swelling in his brain, he under went brain surgery in an attempt to save him.. It didn't work. Giddeon, my baby boy passed away 2 days after his 10th week on this earth. Needless to say my heart is broken. I don't wan to exist. I don't want any other puppies. I just... don't...

First off, hilarious random quote: "Ex boyfriends are like farts. They feel good to let go, but then they just linger around and annoy all your friends" My mother sent this one too me and it made me snort out loud. I think we can ALL relate to this at some point, lol.

NOW I am leaving tomorrow for MFF, going down to stay with friends in London first, then grab others, then on Thursday drive ALL the way down to the con. I am really really excited for this. So my Halloween event was amazing. It started off Sunday night I had my past boyfriend over, Tavis. Him and I dated for 9 years and in the end, we ended our relationship quietly because we didn’t have enough in common. He is still a really good friend, and so I had him over to watch Simpsons and Mythbusters with me. It was great, nice to have company over again. He helped me pack for the hotel and grab everything I needed. He headed off to work and I headed down to Toronto.

Once down there, I checked into our hotel down by the airport. It was quite funny. I got up there to room 505 and opened the door. To my surprise I saw an unmade bed, random cookies, a dirty floor and even shattered glass. A really nice cleaning lady with a heavy accent asked if I wanted a new coffee maker and I showed her the room. She said in an hour it’d be clean and that she was so sorry. So off to the train station I went.

I drove over to the Kipling TTC station to pick up  tiger_sammy On the way there I was stuck in a huge line of traffic slowly making it around a transport trailer who stalled in the middle of an intersection on Dundas. Yeah a really bad place to stall. Once I grabbed the tiger with his snow leo in tow we headed back to the hotel. On my second visit to our room I still noticed it was dirty with the broken glass so I called front desk and explained everything to them. She said she was sorry and gave us a new room. Now comfortably sitting in 509 Sam and I started out to go find food, and after a confusing drive around following my GPS we decided to go to the lone stars right beside the hotel.

After a wonderful meal, I started getting texts from the others attending our event  yazoobishi My twin sister Cody, and her finance John. We ran over to the hotel and as the others trickled in we started getting ready for the evening down town on Church street. Cody took about 2 hours to get her make up on but in the end she looked amazing. Sam and I just had to jump into suit,  yazoobishi had to get all decked out and John had to put on his camo gear.

After a quick order of pizza which ended up taking an hour, we headed out. One funny looking group of furries, and non furries alike we started down to the islington train station. At 6:30pm I put my head on and I kept it on solid until 10:40 when we got back to the car. I was devoted.

So we got on the subway, took a few pictures of randomness, made a lot of people smile, and posed for a few fanboy photos. Once we got up to church and welsley the flash photography started. I am not kidding when I tell you guys I lost track of how many people asked me for a photo. I counted to 254, then stopped trying because I didn’t even move for all of those photos. I was standing in one spot about 40 minutes and had over 400 pictures taken of me.

Our group didn’t even walk a complete block, we walked half way down and stopped in front of the Second Cup where the music was blearing. Beacause dancing in suit and posing for photos is awesome. While dancing there to some awesome house Halloween mixes I had a woman in a witch hat approach me and  tiger_sammy and ask us to go dance on her patio. We were both like wow, uh Okay! We danced for about 4 minutes and did a crowd ever gather! We were such a hit, and after we were offered free coffee, lol.

About another hour or two later the other furries started gathering, I saw a few friendly faces there, and some new ones too.  mmm-dumpling and  Dodge showed up and hung out around us for a while. It was awesome seeing them both there and I know  Dodge got some great photos and video.

So after another hour or so we were all exhausted and decided to head home. It took us about 50 minutes to get to the TTC station once more but it was so awesome. Aside from a few awkward photos, and dances with random individuals we had a blast. All of us did. So I want to thank you all who showed, all who I saw and all who said hi. Thanks for making it so memorable. I will be posting photos soon. *hugs* thanks for reading!

So I'm watching House on Haunted Hill... Just for the pure fact I have it on DVD so yeah. Anyway with Halloween coming up, tell me, what is your favorite scary movie? New, Old, doesn't matter. Go!

Okay so the past few days have been pretty awesome I must say. On Sunday night  tiger_sammy came up to spend thanksgiving with me and my family. My sister suggested going to the Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland that night so well, we did! And I’ve got to say it was SOOO much better then when I went before in July when I basically stood outside trying not to get sunburnt, and got guff for not being “adventurous enough”*rolls eyes*. So this is like my new favorite event! Its dark, its cool, its way more fun because I can go in all the haunted houses and attend the attractions. I’m not much for rides, but I do enjoy the park and man is this the way to see the park. Creepy ghosts and ghouls everywhere, screaming girls, and the odd man showing their ‘broke back’ side hahaha. I really loved it. They deck out the park and everything too.

So now I’ll tell ya about my night. It started off with going through one house called the “Asylum” I didn’t like it very much, it was too dark, and too loud, and my first haunted attraction so I was really scared. Still well done, the performers were mint. Next houses were the pirate attractions, and again really really well done. We hit up a magic show, (OMG SO EPIC) that had slutty dancers AND a magician so I was like in heaven! That was a bunch of fun, made me believe that’s for sure. After that event we walked over to Sam’s favorite haunted house, the CLOWNS.

Out front were a few characters acting creepy, a man who was doing this upside down crab walk that freaked the shit outta me! At this point I had a bag of my favorite snack, those little mini doughnuts covered in powered sugar. Omg good I know! So watching this one clown walk up to me I offered him one. He saw me offering one to another character so he comes right up beside me and in a creepy voice says “You share with one you share with all” So I turned to him and said “Okay want one?” and breaking character completely he stood up straight and said “OMG For Serious?!” I said yeah and he was like “OMG THANKS!” I made his night, hah!

At this point we were going to do the last few houses; a corn maze, underground miners revenge which was so creepy, I really loved it, and the best one of all; Club Blood. It was a rave dance with creepy bloodied up vampire chicks dancing in cages and stuff. The music was awesome, the atmosphere was epic and I could have danced on the floor all night. Sam and John danced all the way through, making asses of themselves but still enjoying every moment of it. After that we went to the last one which was pretty much like a scene from Left 4 Dead, it was called Blood On the Bayou. Creepy old banjo music, an elevated creaking walkway over water, random people jumping out in front of you talking in a southern accent and just messing with you. Oh it was so much fun!

I really enjoyed being scared and it truly put me in the mood for Halloween. The following day Sam and I went out and got everything I need for Halloween at my store and enough baking supplies to make 300 to 400 ginger bread cookies. I cannot wait.

So that has been my thanksgiving weekend, I am almost done my new fursuit, I cannot wait to post photos. I will be wearing it at the Halloween party at PetSmart along with down on Church street on All Hallows Eve too. I hope to see most of ya all there!

Well I have been having an awesome day so far. I really enjoy my 3 day weekends, they give me ample time to get my fursuit stuff done, along with art and cleaning, the usual stuff. I enjoy spending time with my family, epically my mother and sister. I love spending time with my dogs too. And finally the weather is just perfect out today. I adore fall, the crisp air, the smell of the leaves on the ground, and in the evening you can get a faint whiff of what holiday is soon to arrive; Halloween. This truly is the best time of year. I am one happy Katt today, I hope to spend a good portion outside with my dogs this afternoon. I encourage everyone to enjoy the fall while its here, go for a walk, sit out in the sun on your deck, it won't be like this for long!

So I've finally hit it, I've gotten over 1000 watchers now. The one who put me over was  wachhund Congratulations you get free artings from me! I will note you with details. So yeah! Yay watchers, I love you all, thanks so much. I will be opening for commissions really soon but only 3 slots or so, so keep your eyes out for another journal later this week ^.^

So I had a wonderful day today.

Started out with getting up, taking a shower and then waking my sister. After she got dressed and put on her face (make up that is) we headed out to Alliston. Our best friend  yazoobishi lives there and we haven't seen each other in months. It was awesome catching up, we exchanged past birthday presents and chatted about her time at fanexpo and anime north. I sadly missed both, but she took enough photos and told me all the stories so I felt like I didn't miss out too much. After about an hour of chatting we headed out to our favorite eatin spot, Pizza Hut! Don't ask me why but the one in Alliston makes the most awesome stuffed crust. Must be the water. While there we giggled, talked, swapped stories, and had an over all amazing time.

Once gorged on pizza-e-goodness we decided to be somewhat healthy and walk all the way over to EB Games, where I purchased  yazoobishi her belated birthday present, I think it was God of War 1 and 2. Correct me if I'm wrong love! We then walked around Zellers, then Carlton Cards (kinda like Hallmark) and I got THE most adorable timber wolf plush for myself. I'll take pictures later, but omg he was too cute to pass up! So after listening to ALL and I do mean ALL of their musical cards we walked back to the car to head home.

Once there  yazoobishi busted out the Wii and we played Just Dance 1, 2, Just Dance Summer Edition AND the Micheal Jackson Experience. OMG so much fun! I enjoyed it much much more than the Kinect for XBOX. More fun, little bit more freedom and the Micheal Jackson game was amazingly done. So we danced long into the night, laughing, singing along, and just having fun!

This is exactly what I needed, to get out and be with my girlfriend and her awesome family. I hope to visit again soon, no more waiting around for months before spending time.

Lastly, I for sure have MFF off and I am rooming with  tiger_sammy and  Knuxthefox and his mate. Should be a whole lot of fun. I cannot wait! So yeah thats been my day, life is looking better and better.

Okay well a lot has happened in the past 3 weeks.

First off, yes my kitten Lucifer did pass away, it hurt a lot because I wasn’t there with him. I miss him; my home is lonely without that little winey creature. But he is happier now and in no pain, that brings me some peace. Secondly I went through a very sever break up. I should have seen it coming but well, the term “love is blind” rings true. I was emotionally, mentally, and even physically abused. Time is doing its job at healing me. And even after all of this, I take with me the positives. I now know what I can and cannot tolerate with a partner. I know what to watch for in order to save myself the heart ache and emotional torture. No longer will I surround myself with negative individuals. I see this as a turning of a new page in my life. I will not be manipulated or controlled one moment longer.

Well that’s enough of my personal life, I wish to not start any drama, so for those of you who wish to know any details please be respectful and note me if you have any questions.

Next I am in the works of completing a new fursuit for myself. Yup you heard right, I have not made a fursuit for me in a LONG while, and I figured now is a better time than ever. It is a new design and I will reveal it in time. I want it to be a suprise.
Second I SHOULD be attending MFF this November. I have to double check with my store today to see if I can for sure get the time off. But I am 99% sure I will be attending. I have never been there before so I am really excited to go and should have my new fursuit in tow too! I think getting out and being around good wholesome people is exactly what I need right now.

So yeah, who will be at MFF and who wants a dance with this sexy single fusky?

I am currently not taking any commissions, I am so sorry for thos who have contacted me to get one. Everyone who has paid me has gotten what they paid for. Right now I am just too distraught to take on any one's commissions. I will most likely be working on some vent art for myself, but thats if I find the strength to do so. I am so sorry everyone. I just need time to work on me and feeling better.

Not the devil, my cat... Lucifer, or more better known as Luci (Luci Bear as I called him) passed away this morning at 11am... I was at work.. started my shift and didn't even know... I found out about an hour ago... my sister told me in person. He was 13 years old and a diabetic, apparently in his last hours he was aggressive, scared, and disoriented.. and I wasn't there for my baby.. I should have been there. He was our last remaining cat, and the oldest pet I've ever owned. He helped me through some hard times, and as annoying as he was, he was still my baby bear... my baby... I will never have a cat like him again, he was more like a puppy, loving everyone and everything in my house... I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you bear.. I hope you are at peace now... over the rainbow bridge... I'll see you someday...

So today at work I hear from the far reaches of my store "OH YOU SHOULD GO SEE MALLORY SHE LOVES THIS KIND OF STUFF"... I pause... and keep walking... lo and behold I come around the isle to see 3 fursuiters! I am terrible with names so please... all 3 of you who showed up and terrorized my store post your names here so I can watch you and stalk you more!

Thanks to  brad-feopard  mechasheep and  gummy-sweet for coming to visit me at work today, was such a blast! Really made my day!
