So normally I don’t like posting my life on here like others do.. I try to deal with my personal issues, well, personally. But I want my commissioners to understand why I might be a little slow on some works.

First off, my father has been sick for quite some time. He has kidney failure, not sever, but eventually he will need a transplant. He is on medication to help prevent this for as long as possible, but it has made him a diabetic and given him other issues as well. Recently he was short of breath and happened to be in the doctor’s office for an appointment. He mentioned it to the doctors and they told him to visit the hospital on the way home. Sure enough once there they found out he had a collapsed lung. After 2 weeks of recovery he seems much better, but he just looks... Tired... His body is exhausted. It’s very upsetting to me to see the man who helped raise me, act this way... It’s a lot to take in.. We are all putting on a brave face for him...

Secondly, my dog, my wonderful 2 year old Saint Bernard has been having grand mal seizures. Epilepsy is unfortunately common in the breed, as are bad hips and well... He has a great deal of both... It started out as one a month ago or so, when he was sleeping on the sofa and then collapsed onto the floor, cutting his lips as his teeth broke through them. We had hoped it was a one in a million flukes, but a month later he had another one, this time more sever, his legs seizing, trembling, convulsing, followed by him thrashing as if running on the floor having a nightmare, and finally, him urinating on himself. My mother caught the second seizure on film for the vets.. it lasted about 90 seconds. I was at work when this happened... it was not what I wanted to see when I got home. Once again we all hoped it was just a fluke again.. but this morning at 4:30am I heard a crash from the other end of my house. I found Norman, collapsed on the floor, seizing once more. I know during the seizures, the patient doesn’t feel anything, and coming too, they feel exhausted, but are usually in no pain. But watching my puppy do this is very hard for me, and my family. Norman has been such a huge part of my life, and has helped me through some really tough times... the thought of him not being with us terrifies me...

So I am sorry if my commissions are a tad on the slow side. I also have my job to go to on Thursday’s to Sunday’s. So please understand my situation. Your art will be done, and done well, but just give me the time to do so.

Hello all,

As the episode of “Fanboy Confessionals” has just aired on the Space Network here in Canada I would like to say a few things. I am very happy with how the episode turned out. It is one of the first documentaries done on the fandom to appropriately and properly describe and document our small furry world. I hope everyone can appreciate my contribution to the episode, and I’d like to think I’ve done the fandom proud. Even as I type this I am in my fortress of pink, surrounded by all the plushies featured in the film. I hope my business will only grow bigger from here. So the big news is that tonight I'll be taking on 7 puppies to help foster. They are golden retriever, chow chow, and husky crosses.... Golden Chowskies! My mother got an email from a family friend who said she had some small pups in need. I explained to my mom that seeing as I no longer stay in Oshawa every night that I'd be here to help her and convinced her to take them on. Hey what better to fill the void of a broken heart that puppies!!!

the BIGGER news... My sister is engaged, thats right, my identical twin is now getting married next year or so... its a bit bitter sweet... I just lost the love of my life, and she's marrying hers. But needless to say I am so happy for her, John is going to by my brother in law, meaning I can now beat on him as much as I want and not get in trouble. I don't know of any specific details yet, but I'll be sure to inform people as time goes on.

So that's the news. OH and expect a flood of puppy photos over the next few days.

What a fun two days! Where to start? Okay well after a long work week of being sad and just trying to get through each day I finally had a few days off due to the holiday weekend. I was offered a chance to come down to  Howiepup and  Deoge (aka  LavShep ) ‘S place. So naturally I jumped on the opportunity just to get out of my house and away for a bit.

I drove down Thursday morning, after one very restless night of sleep, thank god for my GPS as it kept me on the right track. After about an hour and forty minute drive I pull up to their building. I was welcomed by both  Deoge and  OreoReeBlaqk with big hugs from each. It was nice to feel so welcomed. We sat around and shot the shit for a while, just chatting about life and the future, when we all realized we were hungry. So off to McD’s. Deoge was kind enough to treat us all out, I thanked him emensley for my meal, even though he teased me for ordering a happy meal. But at least I got the cookies over the crummy toy, and I got a chocolate milk ^_^

After this we all headed back to Deoge’s place to pick up  Shadowkatbt and go to the beach. They were so nice in wanting to show me around and be good tour guides. And I do have to say that Burlington Ontario is a beautiful place.

So we got to the beach and what else would a few canine furries do but play Frisbee. Gosh it was nice to just, relax, let go and have fun! We could even see the Toronto skyline from the beach; I’ve never seen it from that angel so that was cool. After throwing the Frisbee in the water once and poor Oreo soaking his feet in ice cold lake Ontario water, we headed for the pier, a decent walk, but hey it was nice out.


Along the beach I was walking and running away from the waves being all cute and dumb when I almost tripped over a dead bloated opossum! It was soo nasty! But we all joked about it and moved on. Just about halfway to the pier we noticed the old bridge raising up so we jogged over to see, was nothing spectacular, was only a small little boat but while Oreo and Deoge ran over they stumbled upon a Geocache.

For those who don’t know what a Geocache is (and I didn’t) it’s basically like a worldwide scavenger hunt, where you use a GPS to get coordinated of a location of one, and inside the little container there is a note pad to leave your name, and small toys or little trinkets and stuff. The idea is you leave your name and what you took and what you left, and people do this all the time! It was so cool. I took a little blue plastic lizard and we left a penny (lol) and a golf ball. Just so neat! Their website is: http://www.geocaching.com/ if anyone wants to look into its lots of fun and a neat way to kill some time on an afternoon. Who knows what you’ll find.

After that we walked out to the pier and chatted for a bit, it was getting cold so we decided to head back to the car, that and Howie was done work so we wanted to go meet with him for supper. On the way back Oreo looked up and saw two film canisters zip tied to two light post, we were puzzled and so he hopped up and took it down. Inside one was a negative photo of the bridge we were standing beside and the other had a bracelet and something else inside. It was another Geocache! Once we realized that we put them back and carried on with our long walk back to the car.

Along the way we chatted, looked at some nice houses and over all just enjoyed being out, but we were all happy when we saw the car around the corner; Deoge especially. Once we got back to their apartment we all warmed up with a nice hearty meal cooked by Howie. It was delicious! Simple food is always the best. I got a hug and snuggle from him and then we just relaxed. We talked, laughed, cried, and it was exactly what I needed. I needed to get out and just be around a bunch of friends. It was a major boost to my moral and ego. It was lovely.

After our nice long chat, Howie packed it in for the night while  Husky-O and  Shadowkatbt and  OreoReeBlaqk decided to head out to an abandoned warehouse for a creepy evening tour.  Deoge and myself decided to hang back because breaking into old condemned properties just ain’t our thing. But we still had a nice time talking, checking out FA together, watching the newest most epic video taking over the interwebs “NYAN CAT” ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAiCRuK98ig ).

Around 1:40 ish we decided to pack it in too, I was exhausted and he needed to get up at a decent hour in the morning too. At 2:40 the other boys finally came home, and I was woken up by a tired Oreo as he snuggled into the bed with me. Next morning we got up after just chilling and talking to each other for a while, it was nice to catch up, I missed the guy. Howie had made breakfast for us, not sure what the proper name was but it was deep fried dough, yeah it was just as good as it sounds *drools*

Around 1sih Howie and Deoge had to leave for Windsor for their plans for the holiday weekend. Shadow, Husky-O, Oreo and I talked for a bit before Shadow took us over to his place for a tour. It was so nice! His house is so quaint and cute, and it gave me great ideas for decorating my own room ^_^

We talked about the possibility of me going back to school for animation, or illustration or something, he showed me some of the animators bibles and tests and stuff that I would have to be able to do.. I dunno if I can do it... It looks so hard, but the end result art work I saw around his place was amazing. I really want to try. So who knows, I may be going back to school for it in two years or so. We’ll see, I have to do some searching and stuff first. But it was so nice to really get an idea of what I would be requested to do and stuff. Even if I don’t go for animation or anything, I will definitely be making a “fort” he called it.

Basically its all about surrounding yourself with art that inspires you, both of your own works you love, and the work of others. And just paste it up all over the walls, keep it out, anything that makes you happy and gets you motivated and draw and inspires you to create. Being an artist and fursuit maker I am taking this one to heart, I’ll be sure to post pictures of my fort once it’s done.

So that was about it for my two days off, at around 3:30 I decided I needed to head home to finish up laundry and stuff here because I do work on Saturday. All in all it was a great time off, I needed it, it was fun, relaxing, and so enjoyable to be around so many who love and care for me and only want what’s best. So after many restless nights, and hard days coping with putting on that "happy face" at work for the public I've decided to keep trucking on with my life. I have talked with managers at my work and I'll be getting a minimum of 30 hours a week now. Once I'm finished my training as a bather, and spend a few months working in the salon they'll send me to the academy to become a full groomer. Once I get that certification I'll be on as a full time member of our grooming team and still get to keep my training classes on Sundays. I'm really excited about that. I've been with the company for almost 5 years so its about time I get a full time position.

I'm not gonna lie though, being a bather is hard work, I've already had a few close calls with getting bit, its also labor intensive, stressful, loud, messy, wet and takes quick thinking. But with all that my days go by very quickly, and I get to play with puppies all day.

I also hope to one day open my own grooming salon/training center. This isnt for at least another 5 to 10 years but hey, I've got all the time in the world now to focus on me and hopefully while I'm working on being the best I can, some guy will find me and be lucky enough to have me as his wife.

... So I was wrong about mine... I though my purpose in life was to be a wonderful girlfriend, to be someones mate and someones life partner. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with someone and make them happy, and in return have them make me happy... But I guess not. So what am I to do now? Am I to just continue on? Just keep working away at my part time job with no life goals? I thought I had it all figured out, I thought in 5 to 8 years I'd have a house and a dog and everything I wanted... But that dream has been dashed. So I don't know what to do now. Do I go back to school? Do I keep plucking away at my job? How do I focus on myself? I've spent up to now in my life making others happy and never really working on myself. So how does one go about doing so? I'm so lost right now...

My laptop is going in for service at 1pm today and I wont have it back for at least a full 24 hours or so, so I am sorry to anyone waiting on a commission, I need to get this done as my laptop has slowed to a snails pace and even just the simple act of typing is still pausing and freezing my computer. I hope to be back up and running by Saturday night at the latest. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Alright, now that FE is all over and I'm back home its time for my journal. So I arrive at the double tree on Friday around 12:30 with my mate Bailey. I got my warm cookie and proceeded to unpack my car, all the dollies were taken so we had to make a few runs. Once we got our room, we met up with our roomies Zets and Shadow. Around this time everyone else started to file in, more and more furries filling the double tree bringing a smile to my face. I needed this, I needed to get out and be reminded of who I am.

Once we were all unpacked and settled in to our room, I grabbed my art stuff and headed down to the zoo and to investigate the whole new bigger layout of the con. I was very impressed with the new con space, it was so much nicer to have all those tables out for everyone to use. The dealers den was such a huge improvement from last year, it was so much bigger, plenty of space for everyone and the photo shoot was such a cool addition.

I set up in the zoo for 6 hours with 3 partials for sale, a polar bear, husky, and rotti too. I had Ramblers suit to give to him also. I also came with a few other random items, tail, hand paws, hats and mitts. I set myself up to take on con badge commissions and boy did I get commissions. In total I believe I had 13 badge commissions, all done in time for the con, and that's coloured and laminated for each customer (except Misfit, and I'll mail yours out soon!) I've never been so busy in my life! I may have bitten off more than expected for each night as I missed out on the friday and saturday night dances. I missed all the panels, barely ate food as I was too busy drawing.

I did have fun talking to those who decided to stop and keep me company while I was doodling. It was wonderful to see old friends and make new ones. I cannot wait for next year, I hope to bring even more stuff to sell. In total for the weekend I made $1200 ish, probably more but hey I did have to eat and feed my man too.

On sunday I got a chance to go to a dance in fursuit, although it ended pretty early and most of my friends already left, so I got changed and hung out with Nick, Mr. Dad, Toughie Bunnie, Shadow and bailey in the lobby of the hotel. We just talked and hung out, it was great. We went to bed around 4:00 am, and when I woke up the next day I was sick... yeah after all that time drawing and stressing out my body had finally had it and I'm now in bed with a head cold. I hope to be over it soon but well ya know, its a cold.

So, who all is going? I am really hoping to go for the whole weekend, but not too sure about rooming just yet. So anyone going who may have space for little ol' moi? Its hard finding a room when your a girl. >.>

A new show called "my strange addiction" is on TLC now, a new episode airs on Wednesday evening at 9pm featuring a girl who claims shes obsessed with fursuits, spending all waking hours talking fursuit, building them and wearing them.

A few websites I browsed had a quote from Kiira saying: "I said many times that it is just a hobby, not an addiction, but they said "Well take you anyways" So I had about a week to make two fursuits, and they just filmed me in various places and all. Even though my fursuits suck in the episode, I still got $1,500 and 15 minutes of fame, which is more than many can say."

Let us hope they don't turn the story around too much. We shall see.

so its 5:30 am... I just attempted to sleep at 1:30 ish, and I'm awake again. I hate not being able to sleep. I've got sinus pain, a stuffed nose, head ach, sore throat and just achy over all too. I have one day to get better because I cannot call in sick on sunday. So any ideas on how to feel better fast? What works for you guys? Any pills help at all to get you through a day? What helps you sleep at night? I'm looking for anything!

Fuck my life. Like really really... Okay so in the past 10 days I've been kicked, then shoved to the floor, then kicked once again... Let me break it down... So I found out that my dad is suffering from Kidney failure. Kick #1. Hes got another 3 to 5 years before he needs dialysis. But it's so hard to think of my father, the man who raised me, not around... So that was a big one. Next my car cost me $580.19... Kick #2, wasn't expecting that this time of year. And finally.. Today.. my beloved Landseer Newfoundland dog was put to sleep after a long battle with spondylosis.. His vertebrae were fusing together, causing him extreme pain. It was kinder to let him go. But it was still the hardest decision of my life... So bring it...

I found this little joke online and as a Canadian I dont mind snow, I mean if I did that would suck because that means I'd be miserable 6 months of the year. So if your from a place where you dont get snow, or even live in Canada or the upper states, give this a read, you'll get a chuckle.



Dear Diary:

Aug. 12 - Moved to our new home in Canada. I am so excited. It's so beautiful here. The mountains are so majestic. Can hardly wait to see them with snow covering them.

Oct. 14 - Canada... it is the most beautiful place on earth. The leaves have turned all colours and shades of red and orange. Went for a ride through the beautiful countryside and saw some deer. They are so graceful. Certainly they are the most wonderful animals on earth. This must be paradise. I love it here!

Nov. 11 - Remembrance Day. Deer season starts soon. I can't imagine anyone wanting to kill such a gorgeous creature. Hope it snows soon. I love it here!

Dec. 2 - It snowed last night. Woke up to find everything blanketed with white. It looks like a postcard. We went outside and cleaned the snow off the steps and shovelled the driveway. We had a snowball fight (I won). When the snow plough came by we had to shovel the driveway again. What a beautiful place. I love Canada!

Dec. 12 - More snow last night. The snow plough did his trick again to the driveway. I love it here.

Dec. 19 - More snow last night. Couldn't get out of the driveway to get to work. It's beautiful here but I'm exhausted from shovelling. Blasted snow plough.

Dec. 22 - More of that white muck fell last night. I've got blisters on my hands and a sore back from shovelling. I think the snow plough hides around the corner until I'm done shovelling the driveway. Asshole.

Dec. 25 - Merry Blasted Christmas! More frigging snow. If I ever get my hands on the sonovabitch who drives the snow plough, I swear I'll kill the bastard. Don't know why they don't use more salt on the roads to melt the blasted ice.

Dec. 27 - More white muck last night. Been inside for three days now except for shovelling out the driveway after that snow plough goes through every time. Can't go anywhere, the car's stuck in a mountain of white muck and it's so frigging cold. The weatherman says to expect another 10 inches of the muck again tonight. Do you know how many shovels full of snow 10 inches is?

Dec. 28 - That blasted weatherman was wrong. We got 34 inches of the muck this time. At this rate it won't melt before summer. The snow plough got stuck up in the road and that bastard came to my door and asked to borrow my shovel. After I told him that I had already broken six shovels shovelling out all the muck he had pushed into my driveway, I damn near broke my last one over his blasted head.

Jan. 4 - Finally got out of the house today. Went to the store to get food and on my way back a damned deer ran in front of the car. Did about $3,000 damage to the car. Those blasted beasts should be killed. The bastards are everywhere. Wish the hunters had exterminated them all last November.

May 3 - Took the car to the garage in town. Would you believe the thing is rusted out from all that blasted salt they put all over the roads.

May 10 - Moved to Florida. I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would ever want to live in such a God forsaken place as Canada!
