Hey all! I just realized my update last week never sent, hotel Wifi sucks haha.

Anyways! Last week I was in a hotel for a while due to a well break, I wasn't able to get a whole lot finished over the week, I apologies for the delay and lack of update aaa

However! It's been fixed and I've gotten some headway on sketches. Headshot sketches, both free and commissioned will be started on tomorrow and worked through the weekend. Everyones going to see a sketch next week ;3 Even if it's free, if you have any questions on the progress of what I owe you, feel free to PM me! I'm trying to get everyone some progress, I understand any frustration with wait times atm.

I just got my 2nd covid shot today, so I may need to take some time to rest if I get any severe side effects, but I don't expect to take a full on break again. Not unless it knocks my ass out for 16+ hours at a time like the first one haha. I'll keep y'all updated.

I want to again thank you all for your continued patience. I haven't had the chance to get to everyone privately just yet, but I will be getting everyone their updates soon.
My father in law had a heart attack Friday afternoon while I was working on updates. I spent some time with my Husband and his mother for support and to help where I could while his Dad spent a few days in the hospital. He is back home and doing better now.
I wasnt able to get any work done on commissions this weekend, but will be working hard to get as caught up as I can this week. I'm way behind and want to get everything cleared asap.
I'm going to do my best to make up for how long everyones waited.

I'm in the process of getting everyone updates, but I just got a call a minute ago from my husband about his father on his way to the hospital. Just a little update on how my little corgi's doing. After being delayed by covid concerns, yesterday we were finally able to get her to an appointment to have her spayed and caught up on her vaccinations. She's doing good so far after the surgery but needs some after care. No complications yet, but I'll be watching her closely for the next couple of days. She's in a cone for another 2 weeks and is not happy about it lol.
Unless there are complications this shouldn't effect my work much at all, but I thought I'd throw out an update just in case.

I've sent out all but 2 YCH wips, the next two will be sent out today. All but 1 headshot have gotten their wips as well. Also, anyone who has been given their sketch and haven't seen lines yet will see them this week, so keep an eye out on your PMs ^^ I normally finish coms as they were ordered but lately I've been far more productive while sketching, so everyone gets their WIPs first then I'll move down the queue for color and finishing touches.

If anyone has any questions or would like an update on their commission, feel free to contact me at any time and I'll show you where you're at. I tend to only send a WIP when the sketch is done and another once the lines are complete, but I don't mind showing my progress on your commission at any point if you're curious. I've been working hard to get everyone something they can see so you don't wait so long for updates ^w^

If you're curious about what I'm currently working on, commissioner or viewer, I post most of my WIPs on patreon first, and then some on my update channel on telegram for those who would like free access to my progress. Commissioners will always get their personal WIP's before they are posted to either of these, of course.

Yesterday I wasn't able to get my things set up to get back to work like planned with dealing with the movers and getting our stuff partially unpacked, but I was able to get my tablet out and it set up in a temp spot so i can get back to work today.

So if you looked over my form, you'd have noticed the absence of refs. This was specifically to take a break from them, but not to worry, I'll be accepting reference commissions again very soon!

It's official! We're picking up our new puppy this coming Saturday!! OML IM SO EXCITED. I want to thank all my commissioners this time around because now we can go get her some real good toys, a play pen while we potty train, and making sure her next few vet bills are paid for <3 I'll be working hard to get this batch of commissions done asap and with extra love because this is truly the best thing me and Cal could ask for! We've been wanting this puppy and planning for over a year and it's finally happening ;u; I can't thank you all enough for supporting me and allowing me to be able to give her the best next week! This will be the last time I open with the current prices you see now on my price sheet With the exception of Stickers, which are now $10 a sticker instead of $8. Other prices will raise after closing. This will also be the last time I require full payment up front. When I open next, I'll have the choice to pay 50% upfront and 50% after the commissions completed.

So it's been officially decided that Kymah needs a change. During FC I had a bit of a fursona "identity" crisis. It's been a while now that I haven't been happy with the species of Kymah, ever since I stopped liking the whole made up species thing, which was before I graduated highschool. It's been a constant battle on what exactly should he be? I love his freakin big ears, it's like the staple of Kymah besides the swirls. So anyway, to get down to it, I've decided I want to make Kymah's 100% official species a corgi. I have a corgi sona but he's not so much myself as just another character who portrays a small part of me with a personality of his own. Kymah's always just been an extension of myself, my curious side. When I fursuit as him I'm more open, slowly but surely each con I become more outgoing because of him, but this con I was like, ugh I need him as a species i can connect with. Idk, wolf with a big tail that don't match just doesn't fit, and I don't really want a wolf sona. I'm short, stubby, becoming more bouncy, I'd say i'm smart but acts dumb, and playful. So why the heck not a corgi? I've always wanted to give him alittle nub tail so it just sorta fit him. His suit looks very corgi like as well, and when i switched tails during the con, he was legit seen as a corgi and im like, alright this is fate lol!

But yes, for real Kymah is being changed alittle. I'll be adding some markings and changing his tail. Big ears stay, and colors stay as well! I just love my boy <3

To clarify i'm talking about their Luxury Shag
The gist of it is, I've had more than one occasion where their quality control is just utter GARBAGE. The first few time I ordered from them was great, soft, clean and durable. But more than a few times I've gotten an order of fur (same EXACT listing on their site only months apart) where the quality is terrible. It's super oily, when you brush it, it either frays or becomes woolly, because they ship it in bags, it's all crumpled up in the first place, and it's noticeably way different of a color than ordered in the past. (I know batches can differ and that's totally fine, but advertising a color and having it SHADES darker only a few months apart from ordering is oof)

Normally their customer service is usually ok, but unless it's the wrong color, they'll just tell you "Looks like the right color to me, anything else I can help you with?" Like yes, the quality is garbage, could I at least get what I paid for?

Their quality control is garbage, and whoever approves for some of these batches to actually be sent to customers should be ashamed. I'm not paying $40 (with shipping) to get unusable fur because you don't want to scrap a bad batch.

It's NOTICEABLE bad quality just from looking at it. It's not even soft, it feels dirty even if washed.

I've got to get Kymah's hand and feet paws done by FC on the 17th of this month. I've ordered fur from a different company that I know is reliable, and can only hope it comes in on time. I don't have the time or money for this XD

Any companies y'all can suggest good quality fur from? I'm looking to expand my horizons on fur.

So 2018 is over and done, and I've learned a lot the past 2 years. Over the break I've been thinking up better ways to do commissions, streams, organize patreon, and so on this coming year. Once I'll be updating prices, methods, links and so forth in the coming week and really get into things now that all the holiday and Birthday business is over THANK GOODNESS. As much as i love it, I feel like it's set me back further than i wish it had.

I've been observing others opinions on commission practices the past few weeks and have decided I want to do my best to care for and work with my commissioners and friends this year. Speed up the process, push myself more then I have and overall do better than I ever have in the past. I want to focus on doing better work, improving every step of the way, and getting back into fursuit work. I've been able to work on some the past few weeks and I forgot how much I missed doing it when everything wasn't working against me.

With 2019 looking great from where I'm sitting, I hope to continue to improve myself this year. Be more active on social medias, more interactive with those who follow me and my work, and much better with communications with friends. I hope this year I can look back and see more growth then ever.
