Posted 12 years agoONE WEEK AGO, I had just hit 100 watchers! When I checked how many I had this morning, it was already 208! WOW! I really did not expect to hit this next goal so quickly! SO TIME FOR ANOTHER RAFFLE!

2. I'm going to do a short 20% off sale on commissions soon, to get things really rolling before I have to dive into college work this fall term! I want to draw as much as possible before then!

As you probably know, I do a weekly stream every Tuesday, but starting tomorrow through Friday, I will actually be super busy volunteering at a local art gallery with my mentor all day, so I will not be able to do the normal stream at 12-3, so instead I'm going to do it today! Going to spend the first half hour or so doing warmup sketches, then work on an adoptable <3

4. And lastly, I've just gone public with a closed species of mine, called koronous. They're nature spirits created by Pan.
Here you can see the ref sheet I've created of my own koronous named Outis, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11398990/ Their information is posted on the ref, but I'll also post it here for anyone to read!
Koronous are nature spirits born of the great god Pan to protect a specific element of nature. A koronous gets his or her colors and markings depending on the nature they are born into - for example, a lotus koronous born on a summer's night may have pinks and dark purples and stars, and their mission is to protect this habitat. Koronous are able to be born in all elements of nature and at all times, depending on when Pan is able to create a new one.
As the modern world grows more urban, the simplicity and beauty of nature is slowly gnawed away by man's pollution and carelessness. In the old world, Pan and the koronous were powerful and abundant and the nature bloomed wildly all around. Though now, Pan is so weak from the feverish destruction of man, he has a hard time creating enough koronous to keep up with the onslaught.
In order for a koronous to gain their freedom, they must make a symbolic sacrifice to Pan in an act of protection for nature.
When a koronous makes their symbolic sacrifice, they are marked with a 'tattoo' of sorts, a brand on their soul of their good deed, and its power adds to Pan so that he can further protect the wild, and at this time he is able to create a new koronous to begin on their own journey, and continue to ever-lasting battle of life and growth against destruction and death.
Using a lotus koronous again as an example, a worthy sacrifice they might make is to cut off a hand so that humans coming to destroy the territory can 'feel' the pain and fear of the animal and plant life that already lives there. The tattoo they gain would reflect this by being a hand-print over their heart. After this deed is done and the koronous gains their tattoo, they are free to live their life however they like as half-mortals, or the koronous may opt to devote their entire soul to nature and become shepherds, and to help protect nature for all eternity alongside Pan - a tough decision for more koronous, as they are honored by and drawn to the idea of aiding Pan, and they possess a passionate love of nature, and often Pan repays shepherds for their sacrifices (he may create a new hand for the lotus koronous, with magical abilities), - but if a koronous vows to become a shepherd, they may never love anything (or anyone) besides the wild itself.
Koronous can appear as both anthro or satyrs (sticking to the classics here - a pure satyr would have a blend of goat and human characteristics, and a constantly erect penis). They may have hooves or paws as feet. They almost never have wings, but when they do, they're too small and flimsy to use in flight, being earthly creatures. They may have any sort of horns and antlers, as well as any mammal tail, though, like their leg fur, tails tend to be very poofy.

I'm about to start my first weekly stream!
Every week, streams will take place on Tuesday afternoons! This week I'm starting at 1 pm, though I think I will usually begin at 12 instead (opinions?). The length of the streams will vary a lot from week to week, but I plan for them to be at least a couple hours! So drop on by <3
each stream will have an agenda of things I mean to get done
these can include commissions, personal pieces /projects, and sometimes I will offer these three things:
1. pay for an hour of my time, a flat rate of $10, and I will draw whatever you like for an hour (whether you want several sketches / doodles, or a one-hour piece, is up to you!) if you'd like to do this, feel free to bring it up during the stream, OR note me ahead of time if you want to be first on the list!
2. pay a discounted price for a sketch, and from there leave happy with your sketch, or pay just the "rest" for the finished piece if you fall in love with the sketch (ex: FB chibis are $20, pay $5 for the sketch, want it finished, pay the $15)
3. FREEBIESSSSS. Do NOT come to the stream and ask for a freebie. If I do freebies, I'll be very clear about offering them, but most of the time I'm working on art I'm getting payed for, or want to do for myself, so don't just come in and bombard me about freebies. It's rude.

I don't think I've taken the time to make a journal yet :D
I'm Lapaa and I'm pretty new to fA and this whole scene honestly, but I think I'm adjusting pretty quick!
I had a few questions for my watchers regarding streaming!
I would like to start doing a weekly stream at a scheduled time and day!
So the question is -
what day would work best for YOU to watch a stream?
And what times?
Input from my other sites are leaning slightly towards a Tuesday ~12-3 PM PST stream, would this be convenient for anyone who wants to watch here?
And one last question:
I'm thinking of doing a free art raffle or something to celebrate when I hit 100 watchers :D what would you like to see?! free chibi? fb? lowered com prices?
