once again im moved to

on this past Wednesday / Thursday the 11th/12th i traveled to Vegas with a friend and their mother for a convention. Not even 5 hours after arriving the car we were traveling in was broken into and the only thing stolen was my backpack containing four thousand dollars worth of stuff including my Cintiq companion. to be clear it had been my drawing tablet and personal laptop for about the past 3 years.

before anyone asks no it was not backed up and yes i have lost everything on it.

without naming names or going too into things this person and their mother treated me poorly that whole weekend, blaming me for the break in, and upon arriving home, they also decided they wanted to cut ties with me. Resulting in me no longer having a new roommate once my current lease is up and owing them 600$ as they broke a different agreement of ours as well.

TLDR; i got 4k worth of stuff stolen including my computer/tablet, person i was with decided to cut ties and pretty much screw me over

I've been having a rough time handling this all but i'm staying strong,, i don't want to move back home and i'm not going to give up my dream just because of a shitty event and some shitty people but i do just need time to get back on my feet. I've been taking things one day at a time and i just need to work on getting back to where i was,, and then i'll try to figure out what to do next you know? i've also been considering making a new account on here,, i have a new username everywhere else and for personal reasons i feel it'd just be nice to be able to start all over,, that being said i wont do any of that untill things here are settled.

anyways i know i've been afk for a while and coming back with such bad news probably doesn't look too good but i just wana thank all of yall who have stuck around and i hope i can get better and get back to everyone soon. :heart:

First i want to be clear this is NOT an art hiatus i will continue working on everything i owe

between life / money issues and having things piled up i'm just tired and stressed end of story

im still gonna post but i wont be livestreaming for a while;;;

i assumed my new job would take care of money issues but its extremely labor intensive and they barely call me in to work and all that just adds to my stress X_X so im gonna start looking for a new job again since i just cant deal with this one.

i want to get back to my old self, the one that was able to live stream all the time, produce orgional content and the person who could just plain out have fun with the thing i love to do but right now that's just really tough because of my living situation, but soon in a few months i'm moving out again to a far better situation financially and mentally so hopefully you guys will put up with me and my mistakes untill then but i will be doing my best along the way to make everything right

To keep this short and sweet i'm making Dye cut stickers / buttons to sell at conventions and hopefully sooner or later online!
to help me still pay rent but also make progress on all the fan art i want to do i'm doing fanart / merch commissions!

I was recently hit with this horrible scam, i needed some time to recover before speaking about it but please help me spread this to warn others!!

TLDR; Scammers are Impersonating the real company Zynga and are targeting artist looking for work. They try to get you to deposit a check and then have you send it to a “vendor” they runaway with the money and you’re held responsible for almost 5k of fraudulent money.

Update: Zynga’s HR team is aware of this scam and are doing their best to put a stop to it.

It started out innocent enough I received an email telling me that they found me as an artist though a looking for work jobsite that i actually use


They told me a VERY nice job was open and that I should apply for it.

I thought no harm right? It was a really nice job so i probably wouldn’t even get the position but, like many freelance artist needing the work, I decided to apply anyways

I go an email the next day saying that they liked my portfolio and was selected to move on to get interviewed! I was so excited about the opportunity at an interview that i went to sleep early on my birthday in order to wake up the next morning to do this “interview”

unfortunately I think i’ve lost the messages to this “interview” but they had me do it all over text?/ google hangouts. At the time this seemed suspicious but the man conducting this interview seemed on the up and up? every quested they asked sounded like a real interview question, they asked me about my experience and if i knew how to use a list of industry standard programs. I got good feed back and by the end of it all He had me convinced that I did great and that i had gotten the job. At this point i was easily swept away all doubt gone They said they were going to send me a contract letter and everything.

But then finally came the scam

After convincing me that i had gotten the job they told me they’d pay me in advance to be able to buy everything I needed to work from their “trusted vendor”

Thank fully The whole time I had been speaking to friends about this, One of which actually knows people who work for Zynga and pointed out to me that all the emails and names were fake. I was able to back out and block them all before things went too far but if i hadn’t they would have had me send them four THOUSAND dollars of fraudulent money that i would have been held responsible for.

SO PLEASE these people are horrible and purposely targeting artists! They are going out of their way to impersonate a legitimate company to trick people /looking for work/ out of what little money they have. I’ve also heard that other artists have been hit with a similar scam recently but i cannot say if it was the same. If you’re an artist please keep an eye open and if something feels fishy trust your gut and don’t bother with it!

looking for art advice/ recommendations

already have button machines but is it worth it to invest in a fancy printer that can also print vinyl stickers? or would it be easier to get a cheaper printer for basic prints and buttons but then order my stickers from a separate company?
I also want to get a scanner but apparently it's impossible to find a flat laying one that isn't 200$ ??

I appreciate the encouraging comments on the last journal but I thought this time I'd be more clear in my feelings and thoughts.

The job is easy, the people are decent that's not the problem

After working a "regular" job for only about a week and a half I'm already so tired with it

When I was full time freelancing I worked more days and longer hours all for a smaller paycheck but at least at the end of the day I'd go to bed Happy and proud of what i had gotten done

This labor job is physically exhausting and mentally killing me I swear the day I get an apartment (or more likely a room in one) I'm putting in my two weeks here I don't care if the pay is steady I feel like I'm accomplishing nothing and I don't even have time to draw as a hobby

i've been working here a week and a half and i already hate it

Hello!! hope everyone's been good!

in good news i finally got a job! i'm working in a gardening center it's hard work and like 9 hour days but it's really nice to be outside taking care of so many plants!

the kinda bad news though is now i've got to work a full time job AND look for a place to live >w<; not to mention if i dont hang out with people in RL I might go insane so im kinda juggling alot right now;;

I'm still working on commissions i owe and im still doodling when i have time! but for right now i think it's safest to just call a Hiatus! I'm hoping to get my own space soon and once i am settled i'm so excited to start working on a bunch of ideas i've had sitting around! i miss having my desk and my usual set up ;w; but sooooon! (maybe)
