So I'm onto the last two art commissions (waiting on one to be confirmed as complete) and the second to be confirmed as it's sketch stage for the pose so I can line and flat colour it!

I also now have the polyfil to complete the first of the two fursuit items that were commissioned once I get confirmation of the tail design it should be finished by this weekend which will be lovely.

I am looking to finish clearing out my full commission list however hit a small snag

I had someone order grey feline paw pads from me at Fur eh- they said they'd meet me at the Sask Living Skies Fur Camp to pick them up so I have ZERO contact information for them cause didn't need it... Only they never picked them up... So now I'm at a complete loss as to what to do to get them to their owner as legit at this point don't even remember who it was that ordered them (will likely just bring them to Fur-eh next year and assume they will show up there looking for me)

Once I have everything on the list done, I will be working on my own fursuits as well as possibly some new items for sale including my first set of finger hooves, and my first set of commercial horns. (I had a set of custom ones for Zurgle)

I have been going to Fur-eh and other cons and vending for years now, basically SINCE I started so over 4 years even if I haven't been on Furaffinity as a maker that long. Due to the fact that I help run   WPFCon I am having to step back from con vending I just don't have enough time to prep for cons as I use to while trying to get a new convention off the ground.

It really sucks cause I absolutely adore going to cons and selling and taking on commissions as I'm sure you've seen as I've been finally putting up a LOT of the commissions that I've done this last year (I think it got out I wasn't vending next year)

THAT said this isn't the end. Once I clear my list I plan on taking a short break and building my own fursuits, and then hopefully 2021 or 2022 I'll make a return to Dealers Dens. Not sure when, it's going to be based around how long it takes for the new convention that I helped start up and get going (and now chair) to be running without as much personal work on my part. We're already doing WAY better and we're on year two. Hopefully Next year which I know I'm skipping and is year 3 will be even better to the point I feel I can go back to working in Dealers Dens Year 4.

For now though I MAY see about bringing art supplies and setting up for 1 day in the 'Artist Alley' to take on some commissions as I'll I'll need to bring for that is what I would normally bring anyways because I go nowhere without my computer and my copics which are the main forms of art I do.


(Also getting there on clearing out the Fur-eh Commissions this year way faster, the difference being of hard core medication for pain makes!

Con badges for this Years Fur-eh are a go. Last year I skipped them.

This year you can possible score one of our badges for $10 off the normal cost - which is $35 until May 1st. However the first three badges will be for $25!

So I know that I have Fur - eh commissions due. Sadly I can't remember where most of them go etc for one major reason...

The day after Fur-eh I was in a car crash. AKA I was rear-ended in Calgary with the entire Lazy Leopard crew in the vehicle and the trunk still full (Cause I"m not unloading and repacking that all for a 36 hour stay in Calgary)

The trunk is unfortunately crimped shut (got permission a few days ago to try to open it) It didn't work. UNFORTUNATELY ALL my commission sheets (and some of my art supplies I need for said commissions..... ARE IN THE TRUNK.

I have the car in a covered location because I CAN see inside the trunk it looks like the bag holding them is okay... BUT I can't get to them.

This is problematic for a few reason, one is that a few of them had mid July deadlines. I can't get into them until the 9th of July at the earliest (which is when MPI adjusters look at the car finally)

SO For thsoe of you WAITING for commissions from Fur-eh I deeply apologize, I have some information, I'm working with what I have, however the issue tends to be that I don't know how to contact anyone to make sure things look right before proceeding. Those of you that I DO have contact for, I'll be reaching out to.

So about to prep for the biggest local con that I go to in Winnipeg, this year I have a booth instead of an artists table so will have more room for more awesome stuff! And my prep for Fur-eh paid off as I was making so much stock for it that I was so far over stocked that I have maybe 15 tails in total to make for C4.

I still have close to 50 tails in stock.

As well C4 will be the official release of my feline resin blank.



My queue is nearly cleared, unfortunately with the last 4 months I've been having a time of doing detail work (I was put on Oxy for that time so my head just wasn't working at all) So I have to finish up the fursuit stuff which will hopefully be done by C4.

I also had surgery which is why I am as clear as I am now, no longer on pain meds that have dulled my senses and mind for far too long, granted I will very very likely be slower for a while yet in terms of building suits. I will be looking into updating my Terms of Service and Price List as that needs to be done as well.

I have a few quotes currently outstanding, which have first dibs once I clear the queue.

However my art Queue is currently mostly clear (I have a few outstanding things to send along and one that needs to be approved before I call it finished.) HOwever it will remain open for the time being.

As well in November I will bee officially announcing a contest for another Fur-eh themed badge give away!

So when I get home I have 3 major jobs that I'm going to be getting finished

1. Sparkle Cat Fursuit (I'm sorry I don't know it's proper fursona name ^_^' ) Sadly had to travel now as would not be able to travel later via air craft as surgery coming up and no flying for 2-3 months after that.... Sooooo instead of finishing it in February March it's been pushed back a bit further however soon. It's ears and head are just about ready to be furred and put together and then it's a bunch of handsewing for the special spot colors....

2. Rins tail ear and hand paw set. Gonna be good. have the fur have a pattern. Just need to do it.

3. Eelowyns resin canine blank and building set and claws.

WHILE I"m doing these? I'll be pouring a tonne of claws, noses and pawpads so that I have stock for Fur-eh AS WELL as pouring my first cast from my new feline head that will be used to build Chinona 2.0 so I'll have a furuit again for Fur-eh!



ALSO I'm about to get a bunch of new colors for resin in, including some special effect ones like glow in the dark (not uv reactive legit glow in the dark expose to sunlight it starts glowing stuff) and some really nice metalllic colors including gold, silver, copper and bronze. that can be mixed with other resins to create some really neat colors.

The glow and the dark and metallic colors will cost more but they will be $1 more a piece because the colorants are stupidly expensive to get compared to the standard colors. However the new colors, as well as the UV colors that I'm getting back in stock will remain at their current price!

Terms of Services

Quotes

1. A request for a quote can be done at any time, even when we are closed for commissions by emailing us at lazyleopardfursuits(at)gmail.com
2. a) Please provide a reference sheet with a minimum of a front and back image for the fursuit/costume you would like to have made.
b) If you do not have a reference sheet that meets this requirement you may request one from us for $30 using text based description and/or images that belong to you.
c) Please do not send us references of fursonas that do not belong to you, or you do not have permission to use as we will be unable to work with you any further.
3. Quotes are good for 6 months unless otherwise dated by Lazy Leopard. After which time you will need to get a new quote.
4. We reserve the right to refuse to build any fursuit/costume request. As such we will send you a response letting you know that we are unwilling, or unable to build your suit.

Deposits, Payments and Refunds

1. a) Deposits are 100% NOT refundable, please only send a deposit when you have a quote and an invoice.
b) Deposits on a standard commission is cost of fur PLUS 5-10% of the remainder of the build. (on a Full basic fursuit this would be approximately $275)
c) Rush order Deposits are 75% of the cost of the suit.
2. a) Payment plans are available if you do not think you can save your money for a lump payment at the end or if you can not make a full deposit at once.
b) Minimum payment plan is $100 a month, with work to begin after half of payments have been made.
3. a) Refunds are not available after work has begun and any refund to be given will be less the original non-refundable deposit.
b) Should Lazy Leopard NEED to cancel your order however you will receive a full refund including your deposit.
4. Final payment MUST be received before your fursuit is shipped or given to you. Photos will be provided of finished work.

Shipping

1. Shipping is not covered in the quote and the buyer will be in charge of covering shipping costs however they wish to send said item.
2. Shipping will including a tracking service and insurance regardless of method of shipping since losing a suit is not fun for EITHER party.
3. If completion is near a con that both Lazy Leopard and the client are attending or if the client is local and would like to pick up their suit instead this can be arranged for no fee.

Other

Updates: We try to update regularly but if we fall behind or don't get you an update please feel to ask for one, though we would appreciate a limit of once a week especially if we respond (if we don't it likely means we aren't getting the message due to some outside forces like a misspelled email address)
Pets:There is a chance that your suit may come in contact with dog dander, we will try to limit contact but dander has a way of traveling despite the dog being well groomed. If this is an issue we strongly suggest seeking a fursuit builder that does not have pets,
Warranty

Seams: Are covered for 6 months. If the seams fail in the first month shipping is covered. After This time we will do repairs for a minimal fee for the life of the suit and you pay the shipping.

Airbrushing: Airbrushing can be sent to be redone once a year free of charge for the life of the suit, shipping is not covered.

Fur: Fur is all high quality and will have been packed and shipped in a way that should minimize chance of damage. We will never ship you damaged fur as such any rips and tears in the fur will NOT be covered unless it arrives like that and is caused by the post office. If this should happen please report it IMMEDIATELY.

Warranty shall be voided entirely if any work is done on the suit that is not performed by Lazy Leopard, or if improper care has been given to the suit by the owner that has caused it to become damaged.

So still not at home yet, but going to be doing a massive update on here now that I have managed to survive my first fur con as a dealer. Out of province is way harder let me tell you as I can't just... go home and make up more stock for the night. However I sold a lot of art which makes me very very happy as well as a lot of tails and fursuit making supplies.

Next year I will be doubling my con table space just so I actually have the room I need to be able to put out everything I want since next year instead of just taking a wee car I'll have a wee car pulling a wee trailer. So it will be stuffed to the brim with goodies for Fur-eh! 2016 Including some of my fancy larger tails, ears and pre made handpaws. As well as hopefully triple the amount of pawpads for canines and bears, as well as bringing along feline paw pads.

I will also be reworking a few of my claw molds to make them a bit nicer to work with and hopefully make the pours a bit cleaner so I don't have to do clean up of the bases.

I'll also be seeing about putting in an order of Polyfill with another fursuit builder here in Winnipeg, to get a large order in with them so we can order in enough polyfil that I won't have to worry for another year.

Once I get home my new prices will be posted as well as an update to my TOS in terms of things like how long a quote is good for (unless I have dated your Quote for you) as well as clarifying some issues on canceled fursuits and what happens with your deposit As well as refunds and the like.

So there are a few people that I've talked to about commissions.

Those are the ONLY people until after Fur-Eh 2015 that I will be doing any amount of work for once I clear this queue. As I will be making stock at that point. I will ALSO be officially updating my price list at that point.

I will also be adding a limitation on how long a quote lasts (nothing crazy but making it so a person doesn't come up to me and say hey you gave me this quote like 2 years ago here's the deposit. And me going yeah that was two years ago when I was still learning how to do this this and this on that sort of a suit... It should be X amount more.

So because I've been having some fun with a few people as of late (my clients tend to be absolutely spectacular, those that don't don't tend to be able to buy from me ever again)

Of course this is added to the fact I DO have a job that I have to take care of first and foremost and I've had people forgetting that, or think this is some hobby of mine that shouldn't cost as much because I'm not a professional that does nothing but this...
