Like really! I could have sworn it was only 1-2 years ago that i last posted anything but here its been 4!!
I have a couple more things to post but nothing super exciting. Things have just been busy and I just haven't had the inspiration I used to have.

They have tried to get unemployment but its fallen through and now their housing situation is in trouble. Unfortunately I just moved across the country and can't do a whole lot from where I am other than give them a boost.

I'm really sorry I haven't been active the last couple years. I just haven't had the motivation I used to. Mental issues as well as pretty much ALL of last year just didn't make things easier. This year may or may not be better but we will see. I am trying.

Anyway as to the title of this Journal.

I have been thinking about it for a while but I want to remove some of my older art from my gallery.
Some of it just doesn't feel as ME as it used to. And a lot of it is just me wanting to get rid of pictures of my Ex.
If you want to save some images for later I don't mind just don't post them again.
I will be removing the images in the next couple days to give people a chance to save what they like.

I do have some new stuff to post but its mostly just silly doodles and such. nothing really fully rendered like I used to do.

Hello everyone!

I'm sorry for being so quiet for so long. The last year (2?) has been... rough... I am TRYING to get back into drawing. Little sketches here. Little doodles there. Nothing I consider good enough to post though.

BUT even if I wanted to draw and work more I have one big issue..

My beloved Wacom Cintiq 12w is slowly.. slowly.. ever so slowly.. dying. It takes a little longer to boot up. never gets as bright as it used to. and just is getting old (10+ years).

So its really time I start looking at a new tablet. I've sorta got it narrowed down to the Cintiq 16 or the Huion Kamvas pro 16.

I'm looking for input on both of these or anything else of a similar size that would work. also nothing too much more expensive than the Cintiq..

I'M NOT DEAD!! Just been REALLY busy and stressed out.. and its not over yet (if it will ever be) Between moving my ex out and working to get a loan to buy his half of the house, my grandfather committing suicide, house maintenance, work, and a trip that we set up 9 months in advance but ended up happening right when half the other stuff went down... its just been a bit of a shit show.
But I am TRYING to get back into at least a little bit of drawing again.. just posted one commission and have another i need to work on along with some doodles to loosen up again. so.. there is that..

I'm sorry to all of my watchers for not posting much in the last several months. Work and life has just killed any drive i've had to draw or doodle anything (Bored at hell post-it note doodles from work don't count) I AM trying to get back into at least a few doodles just to get back in the swing. but it still might be a while before i post anything worth while.

I don't know how many of my watchers are artists themselves but I'm hoping at least a couple of you are.

I've been looking around at various laptops/tablets and have come across the Surface Pro series. I'm mostly looking at the Surface Pro 3 (cheaper by far than the 4) . Does anyone out there have any opinions on this device? Does it work well with SAI? does the pen handle well? laptop capabilities?

I'm looking to order one either today or tomorrow so i can get it before my trip and maybe play around with it a little bit.

or if you have opinions on other such devices i might use (not looking at the cintiq companion)

I'm going on a trip next month and while normally i would just drag along my Laptop, two tablets and a sketch pad i'm always wanting to work like i normally do. Digital. but i'm flying and can't take near as much stuff with me as i kinda want to.

I know i saw something somewhere that was a nice laptop but had a pen and could be used like a Cintiq. I just don't remember what it was. and i THINK the person mentioned that it didn't have pressure sensitivity.

I don't really want a cintiq companion since its not a lap top (i don't think) but i want something i can work on when i'm on the road (going to try and get out and about more often.


Any ideas out there for a laptop with a drawing surface? i need to be able to surf the web as well as draw. and it NEEDS pressure sensitivity.

I hope this next year goes well for all the lovely people I have met and chatted with this year! If it wasn't for the fact that my work requires EVERYONE to work on tonight I may even have tried to get out and have fun and celebrated.

damn i hate it. I was doing mostly fine with some sniffles yesterday but got home around 3:30am and immediately started throwing up. thought i emptied everything in my stomach, finished up and drank a glass of water to help get the taste out of my mouth. i laid down in bed intent on just sleeping it off but got up less than an hour later to re-empty my stomach.. a couple sips of water this time.. lasted 5 min.. my stomach went off at least 5 times even after i had NOTHING left and i told my guy to take me to the hospital. spent another 5 hours on IVs cause i was seriously dehydrated. i'm still throwing up a little but hopefully the anti-nausea stuff will last long enough for me to actually sleep.

I have three days off so lets see if i'm functional by the end of it.

I don't know if it makes much sense.. but I work hard on my art so that I feel worthy to talk to those artists who are so much better and more well known than I am. I feel really honored when the actually say hi to me.

My friends Umi and Kage are trying to pull together a bit of extra cash to furnish a new home. Nothing big, just a couple beds and a few essential things.

This year at Con is getting better and better.. -_-

Managed to drag my very sleepy and depressed ass back over to the Con to try and cheer up a bit.. and it was working, went too a live figure panel and did some sketches. went to a small room-party/book release. when to hang out a bit at the Art Jam and was happy till someone said their sketchbook was gone.. all of us there dropped what we were doing and started looking around. It wasn't there. Then I looked around for MY sketch book.

Guess what..

*sigh*

I was hoping i would be able to get some sleep tonight but it sounds like the neighbors above and beside me are having a good (drunken?) time.. *muffled voices* *thud* *thud* *creeking celing*

Ahh.. Not really.. Have fun? Meet people? draw with other furries? maybe meet some of the people i've been watching for so long?

I've seen pictures that were done by multiple people on a single canvas and apparently they all/both worked on it at the same time. but for the life of me i can't remember what they said they were using.. I THINK it was something like OpenCanvas.. I have some friends i would like to doodle with but need a program to use since none of us live anywhere near each other..

Any idea something we could use? preferably something free but so long as its not super expensive i'll look into it.

I'm just curious if any of you would be interested in a YCH with my lizard girl Clayer? I have a quick sketch doodled out that would be for two extra character slots (ie two winners) or i can split it off and have two YCHs with a single character each and poor clayer just being in a similar pose for each.

I've only really done YCHs a couple times, and while they were fun, i'm not sure if my watchers are really interested in them.
What do you think?

Just minding my own business scanning over my facebook and the random posts that pop up from friends of friends. there are a couple people on my lists who are family of close friends. I don't talk to these people and i think for the most part only have them on my facebook cause i used to play FarmVille and what not.

But tonight as i'm scrolling down past bad pictures of Minecraft, preachy femanist propaganda, and tasteless dirty jokes one of these people posted a link to a news article about some 'Chemical' attack at the Midwest Furfest con. I did a separate search and it seems that yes! someone released chlorine into one of the stair wells O_O the whole place had to be evacuated! and some even went to the hospital! :(

I know several artists i watch here were supposed to be at the Con and i'm mostly just hoping that everyone is safe and that HOPEFULLY they catch the person who did it O_O
