Anxiety and Insomnia
Posted 7 years agoSo it's been a while since I've posted, and I have to admit that I didn't really expect my update to come this far from my last one, but I don't really see the need to update this for the people who are watching. Most people that care have me on Discord and talk to me relatively often. But for those that still worry about me and don't get that admittedly still rare interaction, here's what's happened since I moved back to Illinois, brought to you by an inability to sleep:
*Got my old job back.
*Got a car on a loan and my license.
* Met a girl that I'm still with to this day.
*Got fired from my job after 6 months because of miss understandings and was not told why I was being fired.
* Filed for unemployment and dragged through legal mud by old boss, despite being eligible.
*Spent a year jobless.
* Found a job with better pay than last job.
*New coworkers negativity drive me into anxiety attacks almost once a week, but I last there for a year, before getting fired for forgetting to put my phone away after lunch. (Worked for medical call center, HIPAA very sensitive information)
*Spend another year jobless, now prone to weekly anxiety attacks at night from pressure of trying to find a job.
*Uncle offers me work at his golf-cart garage. Been going a year. It doesn't pay great/have good hours, but it's just enough to support myself.
And now the work is drying up there for winter and I'm starting to panic about not being able to find a job for winter...
For the first time, I'm actually seriously considering opening commissions, but I'm worried I'm still not good enough and NOWHERE NEAR popular enough to survive.
On top of all of this, the family member I live with is talking crazy, how this is the week of the rapture... And I'm letting it get to me, I have no idea why... So I'm up at 5 in the morning, dreading the admittedly likely short day of work tomorrow...

Moving Back to IL
Posted 11 years agoWelp, can't find a job and the people paying the lion's share of the rent are kicking me out, so I'm going to be headed back to Illinois come sometime next week.

Posted 11 years agoSo, I have moved! Though most of you who watch me already knew that.
I've moved to Rochester, NY to get out from under my father's thumb and to help my new room-mates financially, so most days are pretty heavily filled with online applications.
Yesterday, however, I met up with some members of the local furgroup, ate pizza, and tried my first couple of actual drinks... woo! I gttah say, though, I had fun, and enjoyed their company, even if, at certain times, I may have seemed quiet, and other times, overly, annoyingly, loud. XD
So thanks to
Karimah for going to great lengths to have me and the others over, and for making last night a welcoming experience!
Also, you all may have noticed an increase of art. I'm gearing back up. I may have to rely on commissions. if lightly, very soon, so I'm trying to pull myself up to par... yeesh...
Anywho, just wanted to give those of you who don't talk to me on a regular basis an update. Hope you enjoy my future works!

Getting Myself Together~!
Posted 12 years agoAs most of you have seen, I've gotten my computer back up and running for a good few months now, but I've just kinda let FA... slip to the sidelines. I'm pushing myself to fix that. Starting next week, I'm going to be taking 2 $5 sketch commissions a week. This will serve as practice for a while until I can get myself a tablet.
I am reworking my Fursona yet again, but unlike last time I did so, I won't be changing too much. Still a Spirit Dragon and whatnot.
In other news, I found myself a job a while back and have been putting my nose to the grindstone (yet another reason I've only touched FA sparsely). They are gearing down for christmas, and my hours will be fluctuating after christmas, so I may increase the number of commissions I'll take at that time.
Anywho! If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them in the comments, and if you're interested in taking one of my commission slots for next week, just note me! More FANTASTIC news!!!

And, as if the lack of income and compy gaming weren't bad enough, my t.v. decided black was it's new favorite color, and, with a slow, painfull fade, is now incapable of displaying ANYTHING. I am typing this message from my 3DS, which, along with books, drawing, and my psp, remain my tethers to sanity and reality.

In a somewhat related note, I've picked up my old PSP and am playing a few games on that... wondering if the Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is an internet thing... maybe I could game with somebody that way?

Posted 13 years agoSo, I'm sitting on the cusp of Sandy this morning, knowing I'm mostly safe and hoping that everything goes fine. Just wanted to put this up just in case my power or net go out and people start to wonder where I am. Hopefully, if power does go out, they'll bring it back up quickly, as I live next to a fire station, so... yeah.

Posted 13 years agoSo, Anyone who knows me personally knows where I live and how much I hate it. The land, not the people.
As it is, I'm moving to go to College. Gonna be serving a year or two at a small time community college to get my GPA up, then I'll be going to college at University of Rhode Island for free, due to... numerous family members working there.
Anyway, I apologize to all those I wasn't able to say goodbye to, especially the Furs of CHUFF, as I was unable to meet up with you all but once, and would have liked to get to know you all better.
I will be without internet for a couple of days, roving with my mother and to explore New England and see some relatives I've missed before settling in with my father. Hopefully this will provide some new opportunities. Perhaps, if someone know's a fur from the Rhode Island/New England area, you could spread the word and let me know? Heartache... and Healing
Posted 13 years agoI suppose this is an update about how I've been doing. It's been a month since she dumped me, and... in that time, I've still tried, hard, to bring her back.
But, like all wounds, it's closing up, and the initial itchiness is gone. We had a long chat that I can akin to the ripping of a band-aid, as it hurt, yet was... oddly satisfying. Now all that's left is a scar... and a friendship.
So I am... over her, I suppose. I may wait a little longer to date so as not to poke this sensitive tissue, but... I am no longer attempting to reopen the wound.
Um... unfortunately, I DID just picture a nasty scar, and as I AM squeemish... brb, bio.
