Diapered Gatomon Day 2024 Applicants Now Open
Posted a year agoI've decided to go ahead and host another one of these since it's hard not to. Regardless, this one isn't going to have as good rewards, so no pressure if you want to skip it.
The rules are the same as the previous Events: You need to draw a picture, write a story, or if you’d like, make an animation that involves a diaper-clad Gatomon from Digimon. The similar Mikemon or Black Gatomon species can also be used. As long as a diapered Gatomon is in your submission, it is clear. Pull Ups can also be used.
The following can NOT be in any of the entries, sorry, but it's my call:

Humans
Half fur/humans
MESSY DIAPERS
Flatulence
Toilet Use/ Implied Toilet Use

Updates from a Bipolar Dragon

Haven't said much here. Still haven't posted anything though I have been drawing occasionally. Should I start posting here again? Could I overlook the ugly policies this site makes?
I'm aware that May is just around the corner, and that usually is when I open up entries for Diapered Gatomon Day. However, I have been debating whether or not to do so. Last year, I had some difficulties most unpleasant. The first was one entry which I initially didn't allow (it had elements that made me uncomfortable), though I did change my mind, but even then, the artist was rather rude, demanding I clarify the rules better even though I never had this issue before and never said please even once. Most people would tell me to just block them, but would that be too far? They were just entering a piece they didn't know would upset me. Still, I felt they could have handled it better.
The next factor was one of the rewards I drew. This reward pic was one of the worst requests I EVER worked on. I straight up asked them if they wanted this one thing, and they said yes, then I drew it and they said they wanted it a different way. It pissed me off. I could just ban that user from ever getting rewards from me again, but that also feels like a rather harsh retribution.
So yeah, I'd love to have more diapered Gatos, but I'm not sure if I can put up with this crap again.
In other news, I've finally taken some initiative and am enrolled in an online course that teaches C# for game development, which at the very least will make me more familiar with coding at the cost of more of my time. I've also had some success with 3D modeling, though I've had some errors importing my character model into Unity. Burn Out?
Posted 2 years agoLately, I’ve been having difficulties working on projects. I have been making very small additions onto my novel, and for a while I was really productive on pictures, but these last few days, I’ve just been sitting at my computer, pondering what project I should work on, not making progress on anything.
One possible answer is burn out. It’s likely, though I’m not sure how to fix it. I tried taking a day off from working on anything and it didn’t seem to help. I also exercise 5 days a week so that should keep me physically fit, right?
Another reason could be extreme indecision. Like I mentioned, I just sit there struggling to figure out what to work on, never managing to reach a final choice. I really have no idea on how to fix this.
Finally, my game library could be a reason. A while back, I didn’t really have any games that I was really into, and spent most of the time working on projects. Eventually, however, I got Fallout New Vegas, which I poured hours into. Then I got Fallout 4, rented Dead Island 2, Xenoblade Chronicles, and now I have all these games I put so many hours into. So many, in fact, that most of the time I’d rather be playing those than working on projects.
I really want to be more productive again. I want to animate, I want to write, I want to learn to use Godot. My meds really aren’t doing much, so any tips for being more productive are welcome.

Posted 2 years agoBeen kind of a graveyard here, eh? I’m not sure what the situation with FA is regarding the changes that made me leave, but I could possibly resume posting here if things aren’t as bad as we believed.
I’ve mentioned about getting an increased dosage of a medication I take that helps me focus. If I don’t take that medication, my thoughts tend to wander. I recently got this increased dose and I hoped it would help me become much more productive on my various projects.
This sadly has not been the case.
After about a week of being on this increased dose, I couldn’t do ANYTHING! I had ideas, but I could not for the life of me manage to muster the energy to even type anything. I felt completely drained of motivation and any attempt at doing something productive was met with great dislike from my brain.
I was horrified that my increased dose had the opposite effect of what I was intending. Thankfully however, it was not permanent. Recently I have managed to draw a few pictures and even almost worked on my novel again. That said, the medication did not improve my working spirit as I wanted it to.

The Poison of Ambition

Why was I not interested in my Novel and felt more like working on a silly fan mecha TRPG?
The answer was simple: I was no longer writing for fun. The reason I started my novel series was so I could create something special that could immortalize my name in the world of fiction, even if only for a small audience, I wanted to create something cool that bared my name and could potentially spin off into animation or video games.
It was never for fun, it was for fame, and that, I think, is why I’ve had such a miserable time with it.
This theory gains more evidence with my Mecha RPG. It isn’t something to make me famous or even be published, yet it is something I gain lots of satisfaction from working on, which perfectly explains why I’ve made so much progress on it.
Now a new problem has emerged, where do I go from here.
The logical thing would be to abandon my novel entirely and focus on something I do find satisfaction in. I have enjoyed drawing a lot lately, though usually only when it involves pamps. I could also try to focus harder on Unity training, despite the fact I’ve gotten almost no help on the issues I’ve been having.
Yet, I don’t want to abandon my novel. While it’s hard to work on, I’ve constructed a whole world rich with lore and characters I’ve become attached to and I actually feel like I gave them souls, unlike a lot of the diaperfur OCs I’ve made. I cannot simply abandon them after giving them so much.
What do I do? Well, I was theorizing about making my novels free-to-read on their promotional page, and releasing them as physical novels and E-books as collector items with additional exclusive content. This would still be hard, but perhaps it would lessen the ambition part and make it more about the fun. I could also focus more on developing art for the series, perhaps even small illustrations for the novel.
Anyway, I got some good feedback on the last journal and I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts.

When is a project deemed unnecessary?
Posted 2 years agoI thought I would have made more accomplishments by this time in my life. So far, I’ve only published one book that is still very much unknown to most of the world. My attempts at working on the sequel have stagnated so badly that it’s entered the Writer’s Equivalent of Development Hell. It has made me question if I should even choose a Writer as my main profession, but if I don’t, I don’t know what else to do.
I plan on getting an increased dosage of a medication that improves my focus, but I’m not sure that’s the problem. I believe the problem lies in the fact I am simply more interested in other projects I’m working on. The first thing is simply drawing Diaperfur/Babyfur art, in fact it’s one of the things I tend to make actual good progress on. While I am able to do commissions to raise funds for charities and such, this doesn’t seem like a good profession to create an impression on a world, like a Magnum Opus or such, that was one of the reasons I wanted to be a writer, to be remembered.
The other project I sink most of my time in, however, is the main topic of this journal. This project, is the tabletop RPG I made that involves use of Mecha from Gundam, Macross, Code Geass etc. Due to fear about copyright retribution, I removed all the material I shared online, yet I continue to work on it not only for my own pleasure, but also to play by myself as well, which I have done a small amount.
The issue is the project is extremely time consuming. I have to not only write data sheets for each individual unit, random encounters, developing new units, and abilities, I’m also working on a big Open-world scenario, which I’m only in Chapter 4 out of 23, and that’s not counting the side missions. I really want to play this, but I’ve had so much game building to do, I’ve barely played the damn thing!
The main issue is due to the fact I can’t really share this RPG, yet I’ve been putting loads of time into it when it could be better spent on more important projects, because I’m so invested into it. Yet, if it’s completely pointless to work on, should I just force myself to stop working on it? I should be working on something to consider my life’s work, not some silly personal hobby.
I could try developing an original Tabletop RPG, I do have descriptions for my own Mecha Designs, but I don’t feel the same attachment to them as I do the licensed ones. There’s also the fact I’ve only drawn like 2 out of a 100 of them and they are very time consuming and draining to draw.

A Sinking ship
Posted 2 years agoSo yeah, I'm jumping on the bandwagon and abandoning FA due to it's questionable handling of things. I'll keep my account up as long as I'm able so I can continue watching those here and commenting and such, as well as contacting those who are still here as well. However, I will no longer be posting anything here. I'm now using Weasyl and Inkbunny as my main Diaper Art accounts, with a Deviant Art account for non-diaper art.
If FA asks me to take down certain pictures, I will comply, though it will likely take time since I like to record the comments on the pics. However, it's also entirely possible they'll just shut down my account without warning. In any case, it's best to save the galleries of your fave artists before this crap takes effect on the 6th. There is a program called "Furdown" that can mass download entire galleries, so I suggest you use that.
Anyway, I had some good memories on this site, but now it stabbed us in the back, so now we abandon it to the sharks.

Posted 2 years agoI've been constantly thinking up new ideas for YCHs. The issue is that my track record for successful YCHs sold has been almost zero, as such, should I really bother with creating them?

Posted 2 years agoOkay, so I was a dumbass and forgot that in two months in May, which has Diapered Gatomon Day, and I usually begin a diapered Gatomon Day challenge in April to give people loads of time.
Since I prefer to avoid hosting too many challenges a year, or so close together, I think I'm gonna cancel the Loincloth one, since it wasn't getting much care anyway. That said, if anyone entered a piece, or have a WIP piece they can finish, I can still negotiate a prize with them.

Loincloth Butt Challenge! (Read Rules)

I’m bored so I want to host another challenge. You know Snake Charmers? What’s the first thing you notice about them? If you’re a diaper obsessed weirdo like myself, you’d notice that they almost always wear loincloths that look like diapers. This also applies to characters such as Egyptian Workers and sometimes Aztecs.
This challenge likely won’t get many participants as I doubt most of my followers don’t give a toss about this concept, still, might as well give it a try. The goal is simple, make a picture or write a 1000 word story that involves a character in a loincloth-like diaper. An image of references is attached below.
The context of the scene is up to you. However, if needed, here are some samples of how to incorporate loincloth-like pamps (You do NOT have to use these ideas):
-Example #1: Your character is sent way back in time. They either lost their clothes in the time warp, or simply want to blend in more with the setting, so they quickly seize an unattended sheet nearby and adapt it into diaper use with salvaged absorbent material.
-Example #2: Your character is shrunken through means up to you. Their clothes do not shrink with them (not even their pamps) so to maintain their modesty, they use a nearby handkerchief or other fabric to form a diaper-like loincloth. Alternatively, the character gets captured by a spider, who wraps them in a cocoon of webbing, but the character breaks free and part of the webbing acts as the diaper-loincloth.
-Example #3: Your character is forced to become a servant to another character, and to complete the act, are forced to wear a diaper-like loincloth.
Usual Rules apply: No Scat, no sexual material, No Genitals, No racist/political content, no flatulence, and No humans or Human/Fur Hybrids. Fan art involving Spongebob characters or Arthur characters are also not accepted.

Posted 3 years agoOkay, due to the new Anti-Babyfur rules in place, I'm going to go through my gallery and take down the pics of used diapers + showing pleasure and such (which is going to be a pain in the ass since the site won't let me jump to the BEGINNING of my posts). Even then I might still get banned, you never know.
The used diapers are from my "Ugly" art phase so I really don't mind taking them down. Still, if you want to save any of them, now is the time to do so. That said, many of them will still exist on other sites.

A possible new age for me? (Update)
Posted 3 years agoIt’s been a long time since I made a journal post. Most likely due to the fact that I feel they don’t do much. A lot needs to be reported though. Soon I will be another year older and it will be crossing a threshold, it’s just a shame I haven’t accomplished much in that time span.
First off, I still have some YCH slots open, I was hoping these will get filled soon as it is rather demoralizing to come up with these cute ideas to raise money for charity only for them to collect dust. This isn’t trying to guilt you into buying them however. If you don’t want, or can’t get a slot, then don’t trouble yourself with it. That said, do you think it’s worth it to keep making them? I do enjoy coming up with them, even if they are usually forgotten.
For those looking forward to the development of my silly babyfur Visual Novel “Dress Code”, you may be saddened to hear it has been postponed for now. A Major Character meant to appear in the novel belongs to a friend who may not be interested in having his OC in the project anymore, so I am awaiting confirmation from them before I go any further.
I still have foolish aspirations to be a game developer. I finally settled on an idea for a game that, while a little ambitious, isn’t as so as an open-world sandbox or turn-based RPG. In addition, I’ve been focusing on Blender 3D modeling. I’ve successfully created a humanoid model and bone rigged it, now I simply need to fine tune it and learn how to model clothing and animating. Unfortunately, I still have PTSD from my last attempt at coding in Unity, so I haven’t touched it since. Hopefully I’ll have slightly better luck since a 3rd person shooter is slightly less intense than a Turn-Based RPG. Hopefully Unity’s forums will be more helpful, since the last time I asked for assistance, some fathead just told me to learn coding, not even offering an example.
Then there are my main cast of diaper-clad OCs. While I’ve been satisfied with the likes of Leon, Parker and Nixie, all the others (Velyo, Mirin, Lucien, Paden, etc) I’ve been struggling to develop stories for. Whenever I do try to make stories for these characters, I get a sickly feeling in my gut, which prevents me from being satisfied with whatever I write for them. Does anyone else get that feeling?
I’m also not sure about the mainline universe where all my characters exist. In the mainline universe, it’s just a bunch of diaper clad babies chilling peacefully. Would it work better if I developed a different universe where there was more action or such, such as in my Visual Novel universe?
Finally, my novel is still badly neglected. I was pushing myself to write a page a day for a while, but gave up on it when I felt this was affecting the quality of the story. Will my second book ever see the light of day? It has me questioning what I should do to leave a mark on the world.
Either way, I am happy to have made so many friends during the time since my graduation. If only we could hang out in real life and go to an arcade or something. I could try going out and making some friends in town, but it just isn’t the same as someone you know has the same interests you are embarrassed about, as you feel you can truly trust them.

Unity has been giving hell due to a lack of good tutorials, hence why a lot of my focus has been placed on it. However, I can still slip in some drawing now and again.

Issues with Adapting Fan Games into Original IP

We all have properties we love. Many of us also love video games. With both of these, we channel our love for the property by creating a fan video game based on it. If the property was already a game, the fan game could act as an expansion to it, or a way to improve where the original game was flawed. If the property wasn’t a game, you could still produce amazing games with them.
Sadly, due to harsh licensing laws, most of these fan projects are considered “illegal” and many of them were forcefully shutdown. While some have managed to survive, Fan games are generally too much of a risk to put effort into, due to the cease and desist brutes who cause all that work to be wasted.
This is when many of these fan works are instead adapted into original properties devised by the creators of the fan game. Many successful games have been created this way and is a good way to make something of all the hard work the creator put into the fan game.
However, if this is the case, then why do I not feel any love for my original properties?
I’ve mentioned a tabletop Gundam/ Other Mecha RPG I made for myself (never going to be posted, don’t get your knickers in a twist License Holders) and while I have made my own Mecha designs as well, enough for an original game, I just don’t care about them as much. The reason I made that RPG in the first place was so I could play with a dream team of mecha from several different series that no official game could replicate. I can’t get that with an original ip.
Are there actual fan game creators who feel the same way? I’m pretty sure there is. If only Fan games were more acceptable with no risk of lawsuits and such. If only there were ways to make me feel the same love for my own mecha designs as I feel for the big name ones.

I'm Still Alive (for some reason)
Posted 3 years agoSorry for lack of updates. For those who participated in the Diapered Gatomon Day Challenge, you can still claim prizes, I’m still thinking of ideas for the ones who weren’t in the top 3.
I haven’t felt like art much lately. I’m sick of looking at my own art style. The only recent pic I pushed myself to work on was a PSA pic to promote something I feel is important. I keep asking for advice, but I got very little. Without proper guidance, I cannot advance my art and it makes me ill, so I haven’t felt like drawing in a long time.
Then there’s the whole writing crisis (I apologize if I bore you with that, you don’t have to comment). I’m beginning to suspect it’s simply because I can’t seem to muster effort that easily anymore. Other brain-intensive subjects like Blender animation, Unity, and even Drawing all require it, and I just don’t feel like exerting the energy. I guess I’ve just become a useless fucking slob. There are times I want to smash my head against the wall as punishment for how much I’ve fallen.
You’d probably say “You’ll feel like it again soon enough”. Well I’ve been waiting for months and it still doesn’t seem to be coming back unless I push myself, which leads to lower quality on my projects. All I seem to want to work on is that damn Gundam Tabletop RPG I made for fun and I can’t even share it anymore due to potential copyright issues.
I fucking hate myself...

Since there is a tie for second place, I'm going to expand the "Earn a commission from a better artist than me" award to 3 instead of two, it's perfectly fine anyway since I have plenty of commission funds. If you don't want the award for any other reason, you can pass it on to someone else.
Agumonofalchemy and Kijibwa have both earned a free one-character colored commission. As long as it's within my TOS, they can choose whatever they wish. If they want, they can also pass these awards to someone else.
I need time to decide what to gift the remainder of the entries. A Raffle seems unfair, so I won't do that. A Group pic might be nice, but it will take time. We can still do custom diaper designs, or even a free background image, but I doubt that is a good enough reward. I promise I won't leave these talented people hanging. I will post an update when I make a decision on the matter.

A Change of Career?
Posted 3 years agoWhile I have been making occasional progress on my poorly maintained novel, there have been some concerning developments that make me question if I should choose a writer’s occupation.
First off, a character I’ve been developing the storyline and personalities of certain characters in my head and it no longer fits with what I’ve written in the story so far, so I feel I may have to restart the entire thing.
Secondly, I’ve mentioned I’ve had difficulty staying interested in the current universe I’ve constructed. Since I’ve really been into developing Mecha universes, I was attempting to create a storyline from one of them. It was then I realized a major problem.
I can’t create characters I truly love anymore.
For my original novel universe, I crafted a world, nations, religion, and numerous characters that I could sympathize with and loved creating new stories with them. When I watch music videos, I picture these characters in place of the ones in the videos and it feels epic. It felt like these characters had soul.
Then I tried making new characters for these mecha-based stories and the magic that made my original characters is just, gone. These new characters, I can barely sympathize with them and you could switch their places and have just as much impact. They’re basically just empty puppets.
I honestly can’t remember how I originally developed my original novel characters and how I am still able to feel a strong bond with them all.
One theory I have for why I don’t feel as strongly for my mecha-story characters is because, like Gundam, I have multiple universes with different settings and stories and I frequently switch between them or rewrite them because of poor storylines or shifting interests. As such, it’s likely these characters don’t get the time they need for me to become attached to them.
Since I forgot how to bond with my own characters, I’ve wondered if I should even be a writer. Maybe I’m simply not cut out for it. I heard one guy say he had to make 7 drafts before he was able to finalize his novel. You’d think I’d know that. I just wish I had an idea of what else I should do to leave a piece of me in the world.
First off, a character I’ve been developing the storyline and personalities of certain characters in my head and it no longer fits with what I’ve written in the story so far, so I feel I may have to restart the entire thing.
Secondly, I’ve mentioned I’ve had difficulty staying interested in the current universe I’ve constructed. Since I’ve really been into developing Mecha universes, I was attempting to create a storyline from one of them. It was then I realized a major problem.
