commissions!
Posted 14 years agoHey everyone :D The buissiest time of the year for me is rite after xmas with commissions. I will be open for commissions until feb 1st. After that i will be closing them to catch up with everything. If you get xmas money and want a plush from me please let me know asap if your thinking about getting one. I may have to close my commissions earlier if i get to many. I want to try and get them all done by march 1st (the ones i get around xmas time)
how to order
Ordering is easy. Simply email me or note me the following things....
Species of animal
Pelt color (name two you like if it is ranched)
how much money your willing to spend on a pelt
eye color
i will then message you back a bunch of pelt choices and you can choose which one you want.
How much money is required for me to start your commission
The answer is the cost of your pelt plus 10$ so that i can get it shipped to me. So if your coyote pelt is 70$ then you only need 80$ for the commission.
payment options
I prefer paypal... However i can take checks or money orders or concealed cash hidden in a box only, no envelopes. However paypal is easiest to use over the internet and is the most secure ( i can also purchase your pelt instantly that way. I do not buy pelts without having payment first.
My payment options is 3 payments or full payment, or half. Either is fine with me.
Example
Coyote pelt price- 80$ 1st payment
coyote stuffing fee- 125$
coyote stuffing fee and shipping- 150$
there is no specific time slot for you to make your payment. however your commission will not be finished until full payment is made. This makes it fair to the other people who pay upfront.
how long?
i get this question alot. The answer is there is no time frame for your commission. its hard for me to determine commission time because each piece is different. each one may have its own repairs.. ect ect. So i can not give you a commission time. MOST commissions are done within 6 months but can take up to a year in some cases. some may be done right away. It all depends on my schedule at that time. You will get your commission eventually. I am not holding your foxes or coyotes at ransom >.< if you ask for a time frame and i say four months and it really takes six please do not get angry. its approximate. its very hard for me to determine time. Foxes and yotes usually take me 3 months to complete if they are taxidermy quality.
refunds
I don't usually do refunds. Unless there is a legit reason as to why you need a refund i usually cannot do it, if a commission is taking to long i don't refund... If you get the plush in the mail and there is damage to it i will fix it free of charge (you just pay shipping to me) also if there is somthing you don't like about your plush i am more than willing to work it out and fix it for you free of charge as well... However it may take a few more months to complete. I live off my taxidermy work and if someone backs out before a plush is finished its very hard for me to come up with the money. i use the money for commissions for the supplies i buy and my rent. If you wish to have a refund then i can help you sell it. However i usually do not put plushes on my page for sale if i currently am trying to sell one of my pre-mades. I hope everyone understands this.
After 60 days of completion the plush is not paid off it automatically becomes the property of Thelittlecritters.
By sending me a downpayment you automatically accept these terms and conditions.

commission updates :)
Posted 15 years ago i've had a few questions about commissions and i am OPEN!
If anyone wants a fox or coyote rite now is the time! after xmas i get pretty swamped because everyone gets money gifts. so if anyone wants a fox for xmas you can order now. I only Require the price of the pelt. If you already have a pelt then No down payment is needed Your pelt is collateral enough.
I can do the following things
Nubby foxes (foxes with no feet, inexpensive option) 150$ plus pelt
Foxes with feet- 235$ plus pelt price
Coyotes- 250$ plus pelt price
Rugs- 175$ plus pelt price
Lifesize mounts- 500$ plus pelt
Hey everyone, i know alot of people have concerns regarding my form of taxidermy.
First off i want to say i respect everyone's opinions on the fur subject. However anything you say will not change my mind about what i do. I have done alot of research and i know exactly where my pelts come from. NONE of my furs come from china. (that's where most of those PETA videos are filmed of the poor raccoon dogs and such.) The Chinese have a different standard and don't believe animals feel pain like we do.
Where do i get my pelts?
Most of my pelts are garment rejects or animals that have died of natural causes. Some may have been hunted or trapped, But customers always know of this before they buy. Coyotes in some states are pests to farmers. I know this from experience. Coyotes kept eating our chickens because they had eaten all the rabbits and other animals in the area. They Eat everything and then turn to our pets and livestock. So thinning out the numbers so that they can continue to live in harmony with us is actually a good thing. it keeps the population of all the animals happy. Coyotes aren't even a native species in alot of the US. They have thrived on human garbage and are now in all 48 states. 100 years ago it was about half that. Wolves disappeared in alot of the areas the coyotes are now populating and taking over.
Legalities
Everything i do is also LEGAL. Foxes and coyote pelts are legal to own in every state except mass... (as far as i know). Other animals you would have to ask and i can find out. Wolves are also legal in every state except PA. Bears are very iffy and have lots of regulations. I have a list of all the states and where they are legal tho.
My experience
I have been doing taxidermy now for 2 years. I have also traveled and worked with a full time taxidermist in Nebraska for 4 months, (i only stopped working there because i had gotten to many plush orders and did not have time for them). I know the ins and outs of taxidermy from skinning to tanning to restoring an old mount. I can do my "plush work" Or do some actual taxidermy. if you have a trophy you want me to do you can ship it with dry ice and i can mount it for you :) Or if you just want a mount i can supply the hide.
Animals i can mount
Coyote (many colors)
Kit fox (must be legal in your state)
Silver fox
Cross fox
Arctic fox
Red fox
Wolf
Raccoon
grey/gray fox
Bobcat
Badger
Cougar
otter
skunk
wolverine
Bear
White tail deer
Any ranched foxes
marten
Squirrel
(any others please ask!)
Price list
Basically i only charge for my labor. the cost of the pelt is separate. Here are my labor charges for the most popular animals
Fox-225$
coyote- 250$
Bobcat- 250$
wolf-500$
bear- 500$
This is how to figure out the total cost of your plush

Alot of questions
Posted 15 years agoHey everyone, i know alot of people have concerns regarding my form of taxidermy.
