Happy Anniversary to Us ^^
Posted 9 years agoToday marks the 6th year since
minnigan and I got married =3 what makes it more special than all the anniversaries to date is that today is the first anniversary that we get to spend together in person with one another! Yay!
We are going to go out to Red Lobster for dinner because that's where we had our first date ^^
Have a wonderful weekend everyone =3

6:45am: Woke up my favourite way on my birthday ^^ my little dog came upstairs and nuzzled me awake ^^
7:15am: opened some lovely cards from family and put them with the one I got from work yesterday. Called my Grandparents to thank them for the card and had a nice talk with them ^^
8:45am: posted my more mature art pieces while skyping with
silvermerceron. I still have a few PG pieces left to post but I'm expecting another piece to come in today and I want the PG pieces to be the last ones I post today because one of them is REALLY awesome and I want it to grace my front page for a while =3
11:00am: Got home with my new copy of Monster Hunter Generations!!! Squee ^^ I've been looking forward to this for a while and I'm going to play it while watching
potionmastercernun stream =3
2:45pm: The stream is over and it was quite nice to watch ^^ the game is also a ton of fun but they make you work hard to progress (as they should =3)
4:45pm: posted the last of my unposted commissions and now I'm off to watch an episode of "Friends" from season 7 titled: "The one where they all turn 30" which I refrained from watching earlier during my binge watching so I could was save it for today ^^
7:00pm: After cleaning up we went out with my mother and stepfather to have a nice dinner out at an Italian restaurant.
minnigan and I shared a dinner for 2 and afterwards they came out and gave us a generous slice of carrot cake for dessert ^^
10:15pm: winding down with minnigan to play more monster hunter and opened a bottle of wine I had made and bottled near the end of June. It's finally over its bottle shock and tastes quite nice ^^

So to all you Canuks out there: Happy Canada Day ^^
Gonna be turning 30 in a month
Posted 9 years agoNormally I don't say much about my birthday but I'm getting pretty close to hitting a major milestone so I thought I'd make a journal exclusively about it for the first time in nearly six years... normally I just kinda tuck it into other journals ^^;;
So yeah, July 15 2016 will mark my 30th year on this earth. I'm still going strong but I'm definitely not as young as I was when I made this account almost a decade ago ^^;;
Stay happy and healthy everyone! If you keep it up you may get to be as old as I am some day =P

Posted 9 years agoYup! FA's nearly hit 20000000 submissions! Crazy, eh? Did some math based on the number of posts generated today and according to today's trends I'm predicting it'll happen some time around 3:05am EST if things keep at the pace they've been going at for the last 12 hours.
Happy Milestone everyone ^^

Cookie Meme!
Posted 10 years agoIt's getting close to the holiday season, where cookies are more popular than ever. That isn't to say there isn't ever a bad time for a cookie, so let's discuss what we like and dislike about them! No clicking required :)
Premade or scratch?
-Depends on the cookie. Normally if I bake cookies I do it from scratch but if I find a unique mix then I'll pick it up =3 For example I picked up a bag of pumpkin cookie mix recently because I don't even have a clue as to where I can pick up pumpkin spice =/
Is icing a good idea...?
-For short bread and gingerbread, absolutely ^^
SPRINKLES?!?!
-Not really a fan but I don't hate them. They go on a few of the iced cookies but not on anything else.
Do you like them in unique shapes, or just to be round
-Short bread and gingerbread tastes better when they're in fun shapes ^^
HARD or sooooooft?
-Soft all the way. I love a chewy cookie ^^ If I want something flat and crunchy I'll get a cracker =/
Shortbread or triple chocolate fudge?
-Short Bread. That way I can enjoy more of them without feeling nearly as guilty about eating them ^^
Do you love them cake sized, or prefer them in fun bite sized bits?
-Bite sized ^^ Way more fun that way ^^ plus you can eat more of them =3
Do you wish to eat the gingerbread man???
-Always! Gotta start with the head, though, so they feel no pain
Are you an oreo fan?!
-Get me a few and a glass of milk and you've got one happy dragon ^^ But only with milk ._.
Did your granny make you cookies as a kid?
-Yup ^^ really cool ones, too, like date square cookies ^^
Did you take the last cookie from the cookie jar? D:<?
-I AM THE COOKIE JAR!!!

Dragons Punday Challange
Posted 10 years agoSo I got to thinking today that there are a lot of journals where people like to write down rant thoughts or complain but not a lot out there where someone tries their best to make you laugh. I want to change that.
Those who know me well know that I love puns so I'm gonna issue a challenge to the lot of you: Give me a topic and I will try my best to make an amusing pun out of it. Key word being try but hey, I can only do so much ^^;;
RULES:
-Give me a common word or topic and I'll try and make a cleaver pun for you.
-Don't post anything relating to a terrible phenomenon or event or that post will be hidden. This is to be about funny stuff so try and keep it clean.
Examples:
Snorkeling
-"I went to go skin diving but it didn't suit me"
Crayons
-"I RED somewhere that you were feeling kinda BROWN. Something that helps when I'm feeling BLUE is an old saying I heard BLACK in the day that always helps me YELLOW out: Keep calm and CRAYON."

Condition: Final Hour and a road trip
Posted 11 years agoAlrighty, so I know that this year the convention is going to be called "Condition vs monsters" but since it's been confirmed that this is going to be the last one (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5877173/) I decided I'd post my yearly Condition Journal a little early.
So, for those of you on the fence about going this year, I hope you decide to attend because this convention has always been a blast and this year they intend to make it even more so. If you decide to go; hopefully I'll see you there ^^
On to the road trip part of the journal: I'm gonna be making a 14 hour road trip to Maine tomorrow and when I come back on the 14th I will have a
minnigan in tow ^^ Yay ^^
Then come the 15th I'll be turning 28... aw man, I'm getting old >..<
Stay happy and healthy everyone!

Condition Wasteland!
Posted 12 years agoHey all, me again ^^
This year for the first weekend of august was the 4th annual London Furry Con! This year the theme was ‘wasteland‘ because, if you haven‘t been following the storyline (which I‘d recomment, they have videos on youtube and some of them are vastly entertaining =3), a bomb went off and turned the world into a wasteland of nuclear fallout (dun, dun, dun...)
I again returned as convention staff this year and even got a little more involved by hosting a few panels and building something neat this year to offer up to the volunteer auction. I‘m glad I did because this year was a hoot and a half of fun ^^. Somehow the con heads had managed to find a company that printed off custom bottlecaps and so they divided themselves into 8 factions with their own crest and corresponding bottlecap that they‘d distribute to people for doing special tasks for them/going to certain panels/events. There were 8 faction caps and a convention cap for a total of 9 and I worked hard to make sure I could collect them all because, well... come on... they‘re shiney... and collectable ._.
Anyways... this year I again participated in the nerf tournament as a ‘spare runner‘, filling in for the teams who were short people. It was a lot of fun but it was a LOT of running and dodging... by the next day my legs were really sore even though I‘d only competed in 2 rounds. Which was just dandy ‘cause I ran another 2 rounds the next day because I ended up running for another team in the finals, too. We won, yay ^^. I get a special title on my badge next year for it =3
I also hosted two panels. One was the yu-gi-oh tournament which had a decent turnout this year; nothing special, but nothing laughable either, it was decent =3. Also, because I‘m terrified of them, I ran the ‘zombie survival panel‘ to try and help people think about it outside of what they‘ve been shown in standard media. I was actually complimented on it once or twice so I might do it again next year.
All in all I had a fantastic time this year ^^ it was just constant good times all through the weekend and I‘m really glad to be able to be a part of something thats so special and so much fun =3. Especially the end of the convention during the closing ceremonies when they revealed the theme for next years convention ^^ if you‘re interested you should check the condition site =3 I‘m on my phone right now so I can‘t post the link but once I get on my laptop later I can post one here in the journal ^^

I passed my exams!
Posted 12 years agoYes, it‘s true!
For those of you who know me well, you‘ll also know that I‘ve been attending school for the last two years for the field of massage therapy. When I first walked in I wondered ‘how hard could it be‘? Well I was pleasently surprised to find it was one of the most difficult courses I‘d ever tackled... it certainly bathed the profession in a whole new light for me. In the first term alone I learned about the bones and muscles of the body and what/how they moved... and that was all from 1 class.
I graduated well over a month ago but that was just the first step... after that was the exams hosted by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO for short) a written which I took on June 21st and a practical exam I tackled on the 10th of July. Well I‘m pleased as punch to be able to say that I got my results back and passed everything! ^^ There‘s still some paperwork to be done before I‘m licenced but otherwise I‘m fully qualified to become a licenced RMT within the province of Ontario! Eee! n..n

WCQ and Condition Blue, too
Posted 13 years agoLittle late in posting this since the event occurred on the July 1st weekend but oh well Im writing it out now.
This year the World Championship Qualifier (WCQ) took place in Columbus, Ohio. Little further than Pittsberg to drive to and there wasnt as much Pomp and Circumstance at the building it was hosted in but ah well; a WCQ is a WCQ.
This year started an hour late but at 11am instead of the 10am that had been advertised but when 11 rolled around the tournament was opened by Greg Abbey (voice of tristen and yusei), Wayne Grayson (voice of Joey Wheeler), and Eric Srewart (voice of Seto Kaiba) which was pretty sweet.
The tournament ended at around 11pm this year as opposed to 1:30am which was a significant improvement. It consisted of 9 rounds and of the 1613 people there I placed 362. Not as good as. Last year but still not bad. Once again I had my faithful Samurai with me and played against 3 wind ups, a rather beastly and creative fairy rush deck, chaos dragons, dragunity, dino rabbit, and another samurai player. Day two I got to use the custom token maker and get some autographs from the voice actors =3
All and all it was a great time. Met some nice people and though I didn‘t do as well as I did last year Im still happy with the end result ^^
That brings us onto Condition Blue!
This was the 3rd year running for the local london furry con and once again I was quite happy with the results. I had once again returned to help out as staff. This year staff felt a little unorganized but that was mostly because every on paper position had been claimed before my arrival so my convention was spent helping where I could.
On top of that I actually attended some panels, one of which was none other than a small yugioh tournament. It consisted of 6 players and I went undefeated. My opponents all hadskill with their respective decks but I had a few hands in which everything I needed came to me as I needed it. Everyone was a great sport and fun to play.
Other event attended was the convention nerf tourna@ent event. I chose a nerf sword and beanbag and went in with as much gusto as possible. I even managed to parry a shot and when I did my opponent and I stopped playing a moment to marvel and enthusiastically comment on when happened before he took adv antage of my prolonged stoupor and shot me again. Ah well it was still pretty awesome but my team lost that match.
After that con went pretty well. Got some commissions and Ill post those as they get completed abd then I also took part in closing ceremonies which wrapped up with a bang. Very much looking forward to next year, especially because I get to work with the people who run it =3.
And thats about it for now. Stay healty and happy everyone!

World Championship Qualifier 2011
Posted 14 years agoToday was the north american world championship qualifier for Yu-Gi-Oh! consisting of all the canadian and american players who received their invitations at regional tournaments. Opening ceremonies were presented by Greg Abby (voice actor of Yusei Fudo in Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's) and Dan Green (Voice of Yugi from the original Yu-Gi-Oh series) and they were available for autographs throughout the day. Hearing them live was very unexpected... to the point were upon hearing them I had a little fanboy freakout ^^ I'm gonna try and see them tomorrow because today the lines were too long to see them between matches.
On the topic of time today was the longest tournament I've ever been through and today tested me not only mentally but physically as well. The day of card games started early enough with the tounament starting at 10am, and was expected to end at 8pm. Sadly that was not the case as I never got to leave the convention center until 12:30am. Food was a bit scarce as convention food is too expensive but fortunately I packed some granola bars and they lasted through the day. The tounament consisted of 9 rounds and just about every opponent I had today was very polite and pleasant to play against making for a very enjoyable day ^^. Out of all the matches played I managed to win 6 of them and out of the 1842 people enrolled in the tournament I managed to place 218th making today my most succesful National championship ever and day I can be quite proud of =3
As for now... I need to sleep ^^;; Then tomorrow my friends and I are gonna make our wayback to Canada. Night all!

Skiing and a meme
Posted 14 years agoSo... Sunday I went skiing for the first time this year and it was a great time! I got invited out by some of the local furs in London for a day of fun on the slopes. It was also a special day because one of them also happens to be a fursuit builder so that day the three of us went out in suits! He wore his wolf suit, his mate his fox suit, and I got to borrow an otter suit ^^ (As out of character as it may be) He's allowed me to borrow his otter suit for skiing a few times now and every time it's always a blast ^^ this time was no different, however, getting flocked by eager picture desiring children is still gonna take a bit of getting used to. All in all it was a great day of fun with friends and it was awesome to be able to hit the slopes again =3
So, beyond skiing, there's a meme I should have started on a long time ago but I just haven't managed until now ^^;; So here's how it works: I look at 10 people's profiles and pick my top favourite three submissions. I got this one from
greggrth So I'm gonna be starting with him and the other 9 I look into will be from anyone interested so if you want in, leave me a comment. However, if you do and when I get around to putting you in here you'll have to pick 3 of your favourite pictures from my FA and then do your own journal like this, starting with mine. It's a good way to help promote other artist's works =3
So...

I finally did it!
Posted 15 years agoI just graduated from university =3
I honestly didn't think I was going to enjoy the ceremony as much as I did but man, I'm so happy and I feel so proud of myself to finally be able to hold that degree in my paws =3
So now I'm Lethias: dragon with a bachelor of arts honors contemporary studies and a minor in Psychology, English, and Criminology =3
Yay I finally did it! ^^

Well then... seems I've been meemed
Posted 15 years agoFew days ago I randomly stumbled upon
floru's page and saw that he had a meme up. Not knowing a thing about him and being the dragon that I am I challenged his meme and ended up getting challenged right back.
So, let's see where this takes us =3
Consider this as both a challenge... and possibly a warning, too *lol*
PREPARE YOURSELF FOR IF YOU COMMENT ON THIS JOURNAL, I SHALL...
1. Respond with something random about you. (knowing me it'll be fairly random)
2. Tell you which color you remind me of.
3. Tell you my first memory of you.
4. Tell you what animal you remind me of.
5. Ask you something I've always wondered about you.
6. Tell you my favorite thing about you.
7. Tell you what song reminds me of you.
8. Challenge you to post this on your journal.

Alan Wake
Posted 15 years agoWell, losing the job's had me pretty down but I'm slowly making my recovery and the one thing that really helped to take my mind off it was the new release Alan Wake for the Xbox 360. I picked it up yesterday at 2:30 and went through it on hard mode. After about 12 hours total gameplay (With intermittent breaks.) I beat it.
The game, to sum it up briefly, was awesome. the writing and story were fantastic and it played out much like a well written tv mini-series. The game is divided up into six 'episodes' each playing out like a movie and ending with a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more, but at the same time leaves you with a sense of satisfaction that could let you set the game down should you choose to. The only problem with that is that the autosave feature doesn't actually save when you complete the chapter... it saves when you start the next one and when you do that you just feel like you want to keep going.
Controls were fairly responsive but took a little bit of getting used to and I didn't get my dodge timing down to absolute perfection but the thing is there are so many ways you can defend yourself during combat that it really doesn't matter. Not only does it allow you to adapt to any battle that comes your way but also does a great job of keeping the combat from getting stale.
As for how the game was set up: Amazing. In this game there is an oppressive darkness that's sending physical constructs after you and the only way to fight them is with light. Yes... light. While wrapped up in their protective layer of shadow they are immune to any form of attack but if you're to expose them to light it burns away the coating and leaves them vulnerable to attack. If you expose them to an intense enough light it does away with them all together. I'm not gonna give away much more but I found it to be quite the interesting and creative battle system.
In the end it had a little bit of action, suspense, thrills, and a little bit of chills and combined it all up into something I found to be quite a pleasant experience. I'd definitely recommend picking it up and giving it a try.

sevlowand am just getting to it now... but anyways... here we go.
1. I've been an invited competitor in both the 2007 and 2009 Yu-Gi-Oh! Canadian National Championships
2. Over the course of my time here on FA I've made it a personal goal to commission
greggrth,
cooner,
dnapalmhead, and
ryuakira for a comic and am now considering adding
whippet I'm happy to say I've got comics from the first two but honestly doubt I'll get the latter two but I remain hopeful ^^
3. I'm a twin IRL and think my brother's the best person in the world
4. I'm an otherkin
5. I hated my university and am wondering if my degree will be good for anything other than sucking away four and a half years of my life away.
6. I have my scuba certification license, class C CPR, Broze Cross aquatic safety certification and full drivers license though all but the latter need to be renewed I still took the training.
7. I once held my breath above water for 2 minutes and 20 seconds in a breath holding competing against my twin... I won ^^
8. In high school I got a fight to end with one word. One of the fighters got knocked into me and when he saw who he was knocked into he nealy crapped himself. I grabbed him by the shirt, pulled him up close and growled "stop" to which he replied "okay" and then he and the other guy went their seperate ways and the crowd of onlookers dispersed.
And there we go ^^ hope you liked it and I guess I'll tag...
strype and

My First Furcon!
Posted 16 years agoYes, MFF is coming up soon and with it also comes my first trip to a Fur Con! Yay! I'm very excited for this because, like I said, it'll be my first con. I don't really know what I'm in for yet but I really hope I can meet some of the people I've met/talked to here on FA. ^^
Only problem is that I've got a really important class on the 20th so odds are I'm gonna be coming in reeeeaaaaally early on saturday morning so all socializing's gonna have to be done on the sat/sun part of the con but ah well ^^ I'm still stoked to be going =3
