Liger Watch. Nearly Christmas!
Posted 13 years agoWell boys and girls we're just a few days out from Christmas and oh looky there it seems the world is still here. Darn not even a single dragon awoken from a Mayan temple for us to look at in awe before someone shot at it. XD. But this means Santa's run will proceed without delay and I hope everybody's been Nice this year cuz ya don't want coal in your stocking. Hehe. So what's everyone hoping to get this year for Christmas? Any fun Christmas Traditions. Ours is watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and aside from that we open our smallest gift under the tree on Christmas Eve.
Liger Watch. Mass Effect 3 Omega.
Posted 13 years agoWell I got Omega the latest dlc for Mass Effect 3 today and went ahead and played it and well i thought I'd give my two cents on what I thought of it.
Firstly I did enjoy it. It was pretty fun and I really did like the Female Turian Nyreen. She was pretty int4eresting with a cool aesthetic. On top of that Aria was pretty neat too and I'd been wanting to held her take back Omega for quite some time and hey it's a decent resource. That said do I think Omega was worth it's 15 dollar price tag? No. Maybe the standard 10 but not worth 15. For that price we just don't get enough. It doesn't look like Omega really impacts things at all and the only thing that carriers over from it to the rest of the game are the weapons and mods. I've yet to see a new mod I find useful in the least. That and really Omega could have benefited from being a little longer too and maybe be a two stage fight. Retake Omega and then move on and claim the remains of the Collector Base. But sadly we didn't get that and of course this had no effect on the ending at all. Then again I didn't really expect it would. I remember enjoying the dlc for ME 2 a lot more than the dlc I've seen so far for ME 3 and really I think part of that is just the whole ending thing. It's hard to enjoy stuff when the taste of that is still there and nothing you do changes it. That said I got the feeling that this really is building up to something about the ending down the road with more dlc but still. At any rate Omega was fun if not as long as I would have liked and definitely overpriced. I recommend it but I'd also say to give it a month or two and see if the price on it drops.
So what did you guys think of it if you played it?

Liger Watch. Halo 4 Review
Posted 13 years agoWell boys and girls I got Halo 4 a lil while ago and last night managed to beat it so I thought I'd give the game a bit of a review.
Story wise I found the single player campaign pretty neat. It was definitely cool to finally get to see what a living example of a Forerunner looks like. The over arching plot was definitely interesting. But that's overall. The story of Halo 4 seems odd and I don't see where things are going to be heading in Halo 5. Also some questions in the game weren't quite answered. For example. When we last saw the Covenant it seemed like it was disbanding. But in this one we run into a few Covenant ships and they seem to still have a fanatical devotion to the forerunners. More to the point we also only see Elites, Jackals, and Grunts. So I don't understand what's happened with the Covenant in the intervening years. If someone knws I'd appreciate bring brought up to speed. Than there's the incident with the Daidact. He seemed pretty cool but our final confrontation with him is certainly lacking. There's no real sense of victory. Indeed there's a sense that we kind of lost as Cortana is now gone. I kept thinking something would happen with the Composer to fix her or make her a biological being but it never happened. Also there's the Prometheans. Now they were kind of interesting but they were also very frustrating. The little flyers were often hard to get a good beat on and the knights could be kind of tough. Overall I just don't see a great variety in enemies. Only three Covenant races make a return and we only get 3 flavors of Prometheans. Flyers, Dogs, and Knights. And top of all that it felt like the game was just too short. I was expecting it to be longer and I wasn't expecting chief to wind up back on Earth at the end. I assumed this would be the start of a Great Journey across a slew of undiscovered Forerunner worlds. Instead we get one, a glipse of a Halo, A human installation and ship, a Forerunner ship, and a brief time on a Covenant one. All this said I did like that it really seemed they were trying to be true to the books and I did love their portrayal of Dr. Halsy. I know I was quite critical of her portrayal in Reach. Also liked the redesigned look of the Grunts this time. They look a lil cuter now than the ugly lil things Halo 3 onward turned them into.
Now of course all that's the Single player. What do I think of the multiplayer? I can't review that other than to say that I am massively disappointed in 343 on this front as I couldn't play it all. You see when I got the game and first opened up the box I was excited to see two disc. I assumed this would mean Halo4 would be a game massive in story and scope. As I played and got closer to the end I thought that perhaps since the game had upped the Graphics to a beautiful extend that to make sure things ran well they split it into two disc. Disc 1 for single player and disc 2 for multiplayer. I was partly right. It seems that yes the second Disc does contain the multiplayer but in order to be played it MUST be installed onto your Xbox system. You can't play it from the disc. So if you only have the older Arcade edition of the console which has storage space measured in MB rather than gigs than your out of luck. Even with my Xbox thumb drives I don't have the free space for it. And it takes up a lot. According to what I've seen it takes up 8 gib space. So for me to play it I'd have to go out and spend another twenty on an xbox thumb drive which would be completely filled by this game's multiplayer. I feel cheated. I payed for a complete game and felt I got swindled. No where on the package does it tell you that you'll need 8 gig for the multiplayer. The closet you get is the package saying you need 4 MB to save a game.
So overall how do I feel about Halo 4? While I like the story elements and and think the game is visually fantastic some of it's minor plot issues grip on me and and this issue with the multiplayer hurts. I've liked the series but this thing with the multiplayer makes my blood boil. Now I don't play multiplayer much and never online. I mostly just like messing about in Forge or maybe a quick Slayer round with my dad or a friend. But it still grates on me and it makes me think twice about getting Halo 5. But given that it won't be out until the next round of the console wars I guess that's not something I'll need to think about for a while yet.
So what did you guys think of Halo 4? Did you guys like it? Oh and once again if anyone can tell me what's up with the Covenant in the game I'd appreciate it.

Liger Watch. Treat Or Treat Smelly my Diapee! hehe.
Posted 13 years agoWell it's well into October and we all know that Halloween isn't too far away. That magical time of year when boys and girls and cubs of all ages dawn a disguise and slink from house to house extorting candy from their neighbors via a combination of cuteness and threat of a trick, which usually means toilet paper covered tries and houses and stuff. ^^ But of course it also means Horror movies. Which is something this lil Liger loves. And I'll admit I have a special fondness for Zombie movies. ^^ Although Romero's most recent ones haven't exactly been the best but oh well. Been re-reading World War Z. And so on that note I thought I'd pen a lil list of suggestions on what to do in the event of the Zombie Apocalypse.
1. Get the heck out of dodge. Because zombies are made from people logic follows that wherever people were. Odds are those people will now be zombies. So it's a good idea to seek out the middle of nowhere.
2. Try not to use the main roads. Odds are they'll be clogged with motorist attempting to flee the undead horde. You'll only get pass them if your on something maneuverable like a motorcycle or a bike. I recommend a bike as it'll never run out of fuel and is far simpler to repair if need be. It also has the advantage of being relatively silent.
3. Try and travel in a small group. A large one might more readily attract the horde and a person alone will have a more difficult time of things. A group of a few people can sleep in shifts keeping watch for the undead and provide a greater skill set than one.
4. Bigger is not always better when it comes to fire arms and the undead. A pistol will just as easily pierce a zombie's skull as an assault rifle and requires far less ammo and is easier for the average joe to maintain. It's also recommend to go with a weapon that uses the most common ammo available.
5. The greatest security measure against the undead is distance. Stay as far away from them as possible. Try to only engage at them at range if possible and remember that odds are in this situation your effective range is going to be half of what it might be at a firing range. So keep your distance if you can and don't engage them if you don't have to.
Well this was my lil List of zombie survival tips. If you've got ideas feel free to add em. ^^

Liger Watch. You sunk my BattleShip!
Posted 13 years agoYup the lil Liger's finally seen the movie BattleShip. And because they say you should always say something nice or not at all I'll start by saying something nice. The Effects were good, the aliens were interesting if a bit too humanoid and the Alien's behavior was consistent and fairly logical. I'll dare say even Ethical.
Ok with that out of the way lets get to ripping this thing a new one. See the aliens come to earth because they receive a signal Earth sent to them not knowing anyone lived on the planet they targeted. The signal was sent in 2007 I think and the aliens arrive in the present. Which means less than five minutes into the movie we already have a science plot hole big enough to drive a semi truck through. Any signal you said at most is gonna be traveling at the speed of light. So that means this signal should have only traveled 5 lightyears by then. And even that won't get you to the nearest star to earth which is Seven light years away and has nothing remotely habitable. But the aliens somehow receive it and come with five ships. That number is quickly reduced to four as what is their comm ship crashes into a satellite on atmospheric entry. First of all your telling me these guys just dived straight on into the planet's atmosphere and didn't see the satellites? And your telling me hitting one of these not so durable things is enough to nearly destroy an alien ship? Apparently so. But he remaining alien ships make ocean fall near the Hawaian islands where the signal was sent. They put up a shield and prevent anyone from leaving or entering.
Now we have naval ships in there trapped and the alien vessels just kinda sit there as these vessels try to decide what to do. After that shield comes up and after one guy shocks himself touching the hull of the shield thingy the one Captain gets an idea. Fire a warning shot across the bow of the technologically superior alien vessel for not responding to your yelling on a loud speaker or radio frequency. Yeah that goes as well as can be expected as once fired upon the alien ship opens fire and destroys the vessel which shot at it. Then another battleship fires on the aliens and gets the same treatmeant. One ship goes into try and ram and or shoot at close range but breaks off to rescue survivors from the other ship and the film goes out of it's way to show us that the aliens were targeting it to destroy but decided not to once the ship turned away.
This proves to be a continuing them with the aliens who continually avoid harming civilians even while taking out a road and destroying local air support. Hell the one alien that boards one of the battle ship repeatedly just tosses an Engine room guy aside as it tries to scan the engine. This thing's right arm has weapons attached and it's a good two or three feet bigger than the engine guy. So it's deliberately not killing him. Another one which the Navy fished out of the water is being examined. It tries to show one office some of it's thoughts and gets pulled off of him and guns pointed at it and then a hole is blown in the side of the ship as four other aliens show up. Not a single one of the aliens kills a single navy man in that instance. They just grab their own guy and get out.
Through out the entire movie we have the navy fighting these guys when it was never clear if their intent was hostile. Even after they find out that the ship that went down was their Communications ship no effort is made to try and communicate with them. And indeed effort is taken to stop the aliens from using the comm array that we used to reach their homeworld. Eventually all the alien ships are destroyed and our main character gets a promotion, A medal for his dead brother who initiated the hostilities and a medal for himself and ask to marry the Admiral or whatever's daughter. Never mind that odds are after time passes without their homeworld hearing back from those ships that their likely to send more and never mind those pieces that "fell off of" the comm ship as it crashed may have been escape pods.
So yeah that's Battleship. A movie where frankly I find myself rooting for the aliens who are at least showing themselves to be ethical and demonstrating restraint where as the humans just open fire and make no attempt to find out what the alien's intentions ever were and on top of it all we have that lovely science plot hole at the beginning. That said I hope there is a sequel and that we can to hear from the aliens. Hell for all we know those ships where and ambassadorial envoy. Guess we'll find out if there's a sequel forthcoming but I'm not holding my breath.
Well those are my thoughts. What do you guys think? Did ya like it? Hate it? Anyone else notice the glaring science muck ups?

Liger Watch. A History of a Diaper Town. ^^
Posted 13 years agoWell those of you out there who've watched for a while know Lig and most of his friends live in a town called Denshire Falls. A town populated mostly by diaper users of one sort or another. Now you may be rightly asking. How did it get that way? Well boys and girls here I give you the History of Denshire Falls. ^^
Denshire Fall began life as a fairly open and lax town in regards to most things. The town had done well having Pawpers headquartered there gave a bonus to their industrial manufacturing. Pawpers had been Producing infant to adult sizes of diapers since 3000 but the products beyond infant and toddler diapers aren't marketed widely and don't have the Pawpers name on the packaging. Youth to adult sizes in places outside of Denshire Falls typically had to be special ordered.
In the 3070's Denhire Falls via chance sees itself as home of a dozen or so diaper users who eventually form a club in town. Their club attracts others with that interest from other nearby towns Pawpers sees an increase in sales as these visitors come more frequently and some begin to move in.
Meanwhile as more of the world is becoming connected and with talks of Unification everywhere the age of toilet training begins to rise. Pawpers begins seeing greater demand for it's larger diapers. They also begin seeing increase in adult size sales outside Denshire Falls as well as they become useful garments for those working long periods without a break. Seeing this Pawpers begins improving it's Youth and Adult lines and discretely marketing them.
Trhough all this the town's demographic starts to shift. By the 3080's 50% of Denshire Falls residents use diapers on a regular basis. This has created a divide within the town. Many feeling that this isn't right and arguing to put a stop to it. But as Pawpers seeing profits continues it's marketing slowly bringing it more mainstream the percentage of diaper users in town goes up. By 3097 Pawpers is advertising their complete size range under the Pawpers name an in prime time commercial slots. By this time the descenters in Denshire Falls had mostly moved out now living in the town of ThornRook to the south. The Percentage of diaper users in town is between 75% to 80%.
At the present of 3110 Denshire falls is now 88% diaper users having become the new norm in town. Many things have changed in relation to this. With a large number of that percentage enjoying cub play of one sort or another elements of it can be seen easily through out the town. With the number of diaper users toileting facilities have shifted now primarily being changing rooms with a toilet stall or two. Over the course of 40 years Denshire Falls has become a beacon to diaper users everywhere as the practice gains acceptance elsewhere.
Well folks there ya have it. The History of Denshire Falls. Hope you all enjoyed. ^^

Liger Watch. Superman Vs the Elite
Posted 13 years agoWell been a lil while but I rewatched it and decided what the heck the lil Liger's gonna do a review of it. Here's the premise. We have a band of international super people called the Elite come on the scene. All of them have their various issues and such but their good at beating up super villains. Superman works with them once or twice but they show a willingness to do something Superman just won't do. They're willing to kill. Superman is flat out against it but everyone seems to really like these guys as well lets face it. People tend to like it when an Evil lil SOB gets what they deserve. Well this leads to a conflict an well Superman shows them what he'd be like if he decided to go with their philosophy. Eventually He wins without actually killing anyone and proves he was right.
That is to a point. See I don't get where this has to be an all or nothing thing. Superman says he's not willing to be someone's judge and jury. But the question isn't that of judgement but in many cases security. Case and point. One bad guy in this one is called the Grey Skull. He basically sucks the life out of people and turns them to ash. He goes on a spree at the start of the movie, Superman beats him up and it seems this isn't the first time he's done it and sends him off to jail. Well later on Grey Skull escapes and goes on another rampage. Superman once again beats him. Now since the Elite are they he of course dies but not without superman trying to stop it. But the thing is Grey Skull already proved himself to be an extreme danger. He'd already killed a least a few dozen people with each escape and odds were he'd eventually escape again and kill again. So what's so wrong about simply ending the threat then and there by killing him?
Superman says he's no one's judge or jury but one wonders. Say next time Grey Skull was put on trial he was found guilty and at sentencing was given death. Say because of his power they had no means to kill him conventionally. Given that the justice system had passed judgement would Superman avail his services and render the mandated execution? Something to think about.
If I were a superhero here would be my rules. If your a normal human and I beat you no matter what the justice system can have you. Usually stone walls are enough for your average human. If you have super powers however you get one chance. I beat you and send you off to jail once. If you escape and kill again than your life is forfiet. Only way this doesn't apply is if your not in control of yourself.
So what do you guys think? Anyone else seen this one? What would you guys do in this position?
Liger Watch. Mass Effect 3. Extended Cut.
Posted 13 years agoWell I've finished playing the Extended Cut of Mass Effect 3's ending. I've also watched all the other endings available and now is time to render my verdict. Bioware. The Extended cut is......Good! It's good! It's good! Oh thank the flying spaghetti monster! XD Is the ending still a lil messed up. Yeah a lil but the big plot holes get patched pretty effectively even if it does feel a tad tacked on. I chose the Control ending as I did the first time and I was quite satisfied with it. And of all of them Control I think is my fav. Minimal damage to the Relays which the Reapers are now busily fixing as Shepard's mind directs them. Hope and goodness for the future without killing off all other synthetics or mixing all life into a biotech hybrid. Oh and one other thing. They did add one additional ending. Say you don't wanna pick from any of those choices. Well guess what you can do? Why you can essentially tell the Catalyst to go freck itself and not do anything. Of course that means the cycle continues and well everyone dies. But those archives Liara left behind enable the next cycle to stop them. So it's kinda neat. Sure you don't win but you at least now have an option. So yeah I liked the extended cut. Sets things up nicely for any future games and really only a few variables need be taken into account for whatever comes next. So I'm a happy lil nerdy Liger. Woot! So what did everyone else thing of the Extended cut?
Liger Watch. Something Nerdy. ^^
Posted 13 years agoWow my last journal was back in Easter. Definitely time for a new one. And I'm feeling nerdy so I'm gonna talk about something nerdy. Particularly I'm gonna talk about Starchild Skull owned by Lloyd Pie and his recent vid on youtube on the StarChild's DNA. In particular I'm going to be critiquing it. First here's a link for those interested in viewing the vid first. ^^
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzvq.....p;feature=plcp
Now Lloyd maintains that the StarChild skull is of alien origin. As in a species from another world and that the genetics confirm this. But in his vid he admits that large sections of the StarChild's nuclear DNA are shared in common with humans. At this point I paused the video. If it has any genetic overlap with us than it is NOT alien. Even if Alien life had the same type of DNA as us based off of the same types of base pairs we still wouldn't see any gene overlap. The fact that we do indicates that whatever the Starchild is has to be Earthly in origin as that's what it's DNA indicates. Next he talks about the Starchild's Mitochondrial DNA. This is the DNA in the mitochondria of your cells and is only inherited from the mother. Based on the differences from what we have of it's Mitochondrial DNA we have at the moment the Starchild has somewhere between. 800 to a 1,000 differences. To put that in reference Chimpanzees have 1,500 differences. Lloyd says this rules out a close relationship with humans or any of our closest extinct ancestors like Neanderthal. While true given the number of differences this does indicate that it is related to us and less distantly so than chimpanzees. Going off the information given it's likely we shared a common ancestor shortly after the split between our ancestors and that of Chimps. So given the information presented the Starchild isn't human but is still squarely in it's origins set on Earth.
Now all the DNA from the Starchild so far has been fragmentary. We haven't yet gotten a complete copy of it's DNA. Further testing may confirm the differences to have been errors. If not however than the Starchild could represent an as yet unknown line of hominid which survived until very recently and in North America of all places. Now that I find interesting if it turns out to be the case.
And in answer to Lloyd's question at the end about the Wright brothers. I probably wouldn't have given them the money. Despite what we know now people back then didn't know if they'd succeed and there were others trying with better credentials. So Yeah.
Anyway what do you guys think? Find any of this interesting or did the lil Liger's ramble send some of you cubbies to dreamland? XD

Liger Watch. Happy Easter!
Posted 13 years agoOr Happy Spring fertility festival or happy zombie day! Whatever you wanna call it. XD Hope everyone's had a good Easter and had plenty of fun and candy. ^^ I know I had some fun. We had a nice Easter dinner which for us probably should be called Easter lunch. Hehe. So aside from some of a Chocolate Peanutbutter rabbit I also had some chicken, mashed potatoes biscuits and some Easter cake. ^^ And what did I do after we ate? Sat down with the folks and we watched a few episodes of House. Because it's be much more entertaining than watching the same tired old Easter special on Jesus that they tend to show on History channel. I'd like to see them do an Easter special like they did their Halloween one showing us the Holiday's origins and how it was celebrated in the past and how said celebration has changed.
Well at any rate though again Happy Easter Everyone!

Liger Watch. Mass Effect 3 Eniding Rant/Review. SPOILERS!!!
Posted 13 years agoSPOILER ALERT. DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT THE ENDING SPOILED.
Fairly warned be ye.
Alrighty now on to it. I've just finished the game and well I thought I'd write something about it as there's a lot to this and I need to talk about it. I've been a fan of Mass Effect since Day one. Since the first game and I'll say this. I love the game. All of them. Even this one. Mass Effect 3 had a lot of exceptionally cool and indeed epic moments. In my play through I cured the Krogan Genophage and forged an alliance between them and the Turians. I brought the Geth and Quarian to peace on Rannoch the Quarian home world. I got to see two Reapers bite the dust via the mother of all Thresermaws and an orbital strike from the Quarian fleet respectively. I had fun. Even Kai Lang. A Cerberus agent who I hated was kinda cool in that it's just so satisfying when you finally do get to kill him.
Now all that said the game has some flaws. Weapons model improvement doesn't seem to do much to them. Upgrades never seem to improve the weapon a significant amount and some moments, mostly Kai Lang related, will feel very frustrating. The sticker to it all is the ending. And this is where there will be major SPOILER stuff.
At the end of the game. Regardless of anything you've done you will have 3 choices. The ending sequence will only very slightly depending on prior game play and choice. Your choices are. Destroy the Reapers and all Synthetic life including Edi and the Geth. Merg all life. Every lifeform in the galaxy will be an organic synthetic hybrid. Though they won't look a lot different. The last choice is to Control the Reapers. This means Shepard will merg with the Reapers and which will cause them to stop and leave.
Now the Merger and Control choices will result in the Reapers being changed and leaving for good. Obviously the first one kills them and all synthetic life. All the endings effectively kill Shepard save for the Destory one which hints that he might have survived. All the endings result in the Mass Relay Network being destroyed.
Now I don't have a problem with Shepard dieing. It's the Heroic thing to do after all. But I hate that none of the choices are ideal and that all of them effectively destroy the existing stuff we love. That said though there are ways out of this ending. If the Destroy option is chosen perhaps the Asari could build and place new Mass Relays and walla universe restored enough. If the second two options are chosen then the Reapers themselves could conceivably construct new Mass Relays to put into place. Me I chose the control ending as I thought it was the best option and it leaves open the possibility for me to pretend Shepard's mind within them had them put shiny new Relays in place.
Well that's what I think anyway. If you have any thoughts feel free to comment.

Liger Watch. Mass Effect 3. Alliance News Network.
Posted 13 years ago*Lig appears dressed in a suite behind a news desk*
Hello everyone and good evening. We're on the eve the release of Mass Effect 3. Anticipated by a great many. It releases tomorrow so the fun will begin than. The last game int he Mass Effect franchise should prove to be one of the funnest with all the choices you've made in the previous two games coming in and effecting the turn out of events in this one. So based on what You've done in other games you could wind up with a vastly different ending from friends. *puts paw up to his ear.* One moment folks. Breaking News.
Early this morning communication with the Sol system was lost. It's been several hours and no word. This is exceptionally disconcerting considering the same thing happened with the Batarian home system. Refugees feeling the system have made all manner of reports. We're now receiving information from the Sol system via a Quantum Entanglement Comm. device. It appears Earth has come under attack by an alien force. Emily Wong is on site relaying the information along to us. The Invader ships appear to match Profile of the the "Geth" ship Sovereign which attacked the Citadel over two years ago. Strange bulbous creatures have been reported and the vessels are attacking population centers. Thus far Ms. Wong has yet to see any Geth. In this Liger's opinion this could lend heavy credence to Commander Shepard's assertions that the Sovereign. If so we may be on the cusp of a war. Stay tuned to the Alliance News Network via Twitter to read Ms. Wong's text reports as we receive them.
For Alliance News Network I'm Lig Weather.
Yes I realize the news style here might have confused a lot of you. I'm just really getting into the Mass Effect 3 thing now. Tried to do this as a news cast like Cerberus Daily News. ^^

Liger Watch. Backstory Anyone?
Posted 13 years agoWell I said I'd do this so here are the short back stories for my hybrid trio. We'll start off with Lig as well he was the first I came up with and has remained my main fursona for so very long. ^^
Ligose, almost always referred to as "Lig" , is a relatively happy and outgoing Liger cub. His parents moved to Denshrie Falls to be closer to Devin's family and thought the town would be good place to start up Devin's Autoshop. Warren was born before the Move when they lived out west near Trisha's family. Denshire Falls was a breath of fresh air as the locals were all fairly nice even if the young couple did think the diapers a little odd at first. They looked on the bright side at least Warren wouldn't have to worry about his bed wetting at any sleep overs. Lig was born about a year after the move to Denshire Falls and has lived there all his life. Trisha and Devin did try and potty train Lig but he never seemed to know when he had to go and never went in the potty unless the just happen to have had him sit on it when the time came. Later testing showed that Lig was incontinent and likely wouldn't be able to potty train. His folks were a little saddened by this but tried to see the bright side. At least he wouldn't have to worry much about it in Denshire Falls and this made Trisha feel more comfortable with Lig continuing doing ads for Pawpers. He started them at a young age when Trisha entered him in a contest and won. Sadly though life isn't always happy. When Lig was around 8 they were returning home from a day at the fair when the driver of a big rig truck had the misfortune of having a stroke. They struck head on. Devin and Trisha didn't survive. Lig being in the back in a car seat however did with multiple lacerations, a concussion, and some hair line fractures. Lig and Warren still live in Denshire Falls in the same home. Warren keeps the Autoshop going as it's an asset tot he community. They don't need the income as Trisha being the business brains in the relationship had left them more than enough to live comfortably on for probably the rest of their lives.
Next Dylan. His dad Richard had been a long time Denshire Falls resident interest in Medicine. Which is how he met his wife Tanya. The two were Doctors at Denshire Falls main Hospital. Not long after Dylan was born however Richard himself a specialist in Cancer was diagnosed with it. He managed to hang on a few years but ultimately died of it when Dylan was 4. Dylan is a smart and gentle cabbit with a pension of asking questions when he's comfortable though he can be very quite at times. Dylan was kept in diapers at first out of tradition what with his dad and all however later check ups revealed Dylan's bladder was undersized and that the nerves around it were somewhat desensitized at this point. So as a result another Hybrid stuck in diapers.
Lastly Balthazar or "Balt" as he's commonly referred too has one of the happier backstories. Both his Parents were long time Denshire Falls residents and had indeed been high school sweethearts. Balt's mom, Barbra, actually as a branch of a Techsupport company and tends to do a lot of work around town while his dad, Stan, is in graphics design and does a lot of freelance work for various businesses. Balt's a pretty outgoing happy folf. This said even Balt's had a spot of bad luck though When he was five and with his dad doing errands the bank they were in had the misfortune of being held up. Eventually the situation was resolved but lady luck wouldn't have some many guns in a room without one of them going off. As the criminal dropped his gun it hit the floor with just the right angle to go off and ricochet around hitting Balt right in the bladder. Balt eventually healed though the Doctors were uncertain how easy or even possible potty training would be for him. But Balt showed no interest in that to begin with so nothing really lost and another Hybrid in diapers.
And that boys and girls is the short of it on the Hybrid trio's back story. ^^

Liger Watch. Origins of the Hybrid Trio
Posted 14 years agoWell I realize I just don't do a whole lot of stuff with two of my long time and fav characters anymore. Balt my folf and Dylan my Cabbit. So I'm planing on trying to draw some more pics of the two and perhaps a new pic of the three of them. Maybe finally finish a story for all three of em. But in the meantime I thought it'd be fun to share where these guys came from creatively and share a bit of their backstory as you might not know it.
First I'll start with Lig. Where'd my lil Liger self come from? Well I remember back in the day when I first started the in on the fandom I started looking around at all the cute furs. I wanted to go with something less common than your standard fox and since I'm a cat person I got drawn towards lions and tigers. Lig was born from my inability to pick between the two so I made him a Liger and uncreatively enough named him Lig as I remembered it from Zoids. Though I've since stretched his name on rare occasion to be the short for Ligose which I'm told is an actual name that meant something but I forget. So Lig's full name is actually Ligose Weather. Though he's almost always refered to as Lig. Oh and for those curious about more of his back story as I realize I've got a good number of newer watchers I do plan on rewriting Lig's back story. I wrote but never finished one a long time ago but since then I've changed little details with Lig and a whole town has grown up around his character.
Balt was my second Character at the time I was still feeling about for things thinking that well I still did really find foxes adorable and well I found refrences to Folfs so I came up with Balt. His name contrary to what it might sound like is completely unrelated to Bolt as I came up with Balt years before the movie ever came out. His name is actually short for Balthazar which I took from the name of one of the computer banks in Evangelion. Balt originally did have an origin story which was never finished but it was very similar to CS Fox's story Kit. it was never finished and as with Lig Balt's back story has changed.
Lastly we come to Dylan. His name isn't short for something and I've never actually shortened it up ever. Dylan came about while browseing DA and seeing some cute bunny pictures and well having created two hybrids already and having a love for cats a cute Cabbit was born. Where as Lig represented a rounded version of myself and Balt the active outgoing type, Dylan was essentially my shy inner nerd. First story I did which included him was a Boarding school story which again was never finished. I know I hardly finished any of my early stories. XD I don't count that story as Cannon and it never really did delve much into his backstory aside from the basics.
Well that's all for now. I'll do a more Detailed journal tomorrow on what Balt and Dylan's backstories are and I'll include Lig too if you want as I know a lot of my newer watchers probably don't know it some of my older ones might be unclear on some points as it has changed a bit since that first draft.

toddlergirl is doing another art raffle so you might wanna get i on it and possibly win yourself some super cute art. ^^ Liger Watch. Skyrim Woes
Posted 14 years agoWell I normally don't make Journals about this sort of thing but it's frustrating me. I'm playing some Skyrim on my Xbox and I've retaken up the Imperial Legion quest line. I'm at the Jagged Crown quest. But I'm having a problem. My quest objective is currently "Talk to Legate Rikke." I go to talk to her to start the quest but that quest objective isn't marked as completed. Even so it still adds the Quest objective of going to the temple place. Rather than there being a bunch of stormcloaks there I only find about three or so bandits and once I go inside the entrance way is blocked by rubble and roots. I'm reasonably sure this is because it's not registering that I've started the quest. Is there anything I can do? I've got the latest patch and I don't have any saves from before I started the Imperial Legion quest line. So is there any way I can fix this? Maybe a way to restart the quest? I hope so cuz if not I won't be able to finish the Legion quest line and if I wanna do that with my Khajiit then I'll have to restart my Khajiit Playthrough....AGAIN!
If anyone has any ideas please toss em out. This lil Liger would appreciate it.

Liger Watch. Extinct Species
Posted 14 years agoWell I've been watching some vids and I eventually got watching some on endangered and extinct species. Which of course lead me to the footage of the last Thylacine in captivity. If you haven't seen it before I recommend seeing it. But anyway as i watched it I couldn't help but having this sort of haunted feeling. There's just something about it. The last of it's kind. Seeing it move about in it's enclosure alone I can't help but wonder if it had some inkling that it was the last. How lonely the creature must have been or would have been if capable of being aware of that fact.
Course there's a bit of a silver lining with the Thylacine. There have been sightings throughout Australia of it to this day hinting that maybe a small population of them still exist in the wild. Though wither this is true or people are simply misidentifying another animal isn't clear. But there's also the chance of cloning the Thylacine as we do have a number of preserved specimens. And this isn't some science fiction thing we're talking about there. There's a project in the works in China with the goal of cloning a Mammoth from DNA recovered from a well preserved specimen in less than a decade. In many ways a Mammoth is easier to clone than a Thylacine. After all what would we get to carry the Thylacine to term? It's closets living relative is the Tasmanian Devil for which there's a good size discrepancy. But a Mammoth has much similar and more closely related relatives alive today with modern elephants.
At any rate I find all this a bit sad and interesting at the same time. We could very well be able to see a living breathing Mammoth again in our lifetime. But what do you guys think about all this? Know about any other species this might apply to?

Liger Watch. Brand New Year
Posted 14 years agoWell the new year has arrived. If your wondering how this lil Liger rang in the new year well he did it with plushies at his side and wetting his diapee at the stroke of midnight. ^^ Hehe. We survived one more trip around the sun and now we're into 2012. Year of the Dragon. Rawr! Also supposedly the year the world will end. I can't wait for next December. People are going to be freaking out and it's gonna make for a lot of interesting TV. Most likely in the form of clip shows. ^^ Hehe.I know it's a bit late but I hope everyone had a good Christmas too. I gots a nice new Blu Ray player. So now the lil Liger can begin expanding into a Blu Ray Library. Should be nice as Blu Ray typically has all the special features now a days. At any rate Happy New year everyone!
Liger Watch. Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Posted 14 years agoAnd all through the house not a creature was stiring. Not a Liger, squirrel, munk, skunk, wolf, fox, shark, orca, owl, dog, cat or even a bat. Though most probably did crinkle. Hehe.
Well it's Christmas Eve and you all know what that means! Santa's coming tonight! Make sure you leave a snack out for him and his reindeer and heck maybe even write him a note and don't forget to thank those hard working elves too. Here's hoping Everyone gets what they want for Christmas. I know I'm looking forward to tomorrow! Though I hope it goes a bit better. I started off my Christmas Eve today finding out that my first Skyrim playthrough got messed up and now Here I find myself back to square one! I had Enchanted DragonScale Armor, toppled a dozen forts, and became Archmage of the Mage's College in Winterhold and was working through the Legion quest line! I was level 34 now I'm back down to level 6! XD Ah well. Back to ye old drawing board I guess with it. Least I'll have a while to redo some of that stuff. *shrugs*
At any rate though Marry Christmas to all. Oh and in case you hadn't heard a Ozzie's not feeling so well so make sure you give him an extra special snuggly Christmas hug everyone! ^^

Liger Watch. Turkey Time!
Posted 14 years agoWell Halloween has come and gone but odds are the left over candy will linger. But when it runs out there will be Turkey. Least for those of us in the US. Thanksgiving is coming up. That special time of year when we all come together and pig out with either people we love or in other cases people that bug the living hell out of us. My Thanksgivings are never all that eventful. The turkey is cooked down at my dad's and we all pile on down there Mom and grandma talk in the kitchen while dad finishes the final touches to said turkey and the other Thanksgiving necessities. Grandpa sits in the reclining chair and I plop down on the couch and either bury myself in whatever novel I'm reading or see what specials are on TV. Everyone eats and then hibernates and there are leftovers for a week or so. ^^ So any of you have any interesting Thanksgiving stories?
Liger Watch. The Month of Halloween!
Posted 14 years agoWell boys and girls October is now upon us and we all know what that means. Fall is on our door step with winter not too far off and much more importantly to the cubs around here. Halloween! I love Halloween. It's been tied with Christmas as my fav holiday. Primarily because I'm a Horror and SciFi movie guy. So I love a good excuse to sit down and watch some scary movies. Plus it's always fun to decorate up for it. ^^ This year's plan for Halloween will probably be much like last years. Hand out the candy on Trick or Treat night. Watch scary movies. Eat left over candy. ^^ Of course over the course of this month I'll probably be doing some Halloween themed pics. Who knows maybe another short story. So what's everyone else got planned for Halloween? Whatever it is I hope you all have fun. ^^

Liger Watch: Deus Ex Human Revolution Review
Posted 14 years agoWell I've wanted to do this for a lil while but I've held off till now when I've finally beaten the game. So here's my Review of the new Deus Ex game.
For those not familiar Deus Ex Human revolution is set in a not too distant future where cybernetic replacement limbs and cybernetic enhancements are the hot button issue. These pieces of tech are often refereed to as Augments and so are people with them. Often time the term Aug is used for an Augmented person. The issue being is it right to do this? Is it playing god? Could we be opening pandora's box? Into this world we enter as Adam Jensen. A chief security officer for one of the larger Human Augmentation corporations Sarif Industries. During an attack on the building your gravely injured and when you wake up you find your now augmented. You have to find out who attacked you and from there find the reasons why and try and prevent disaster.
Now is the game good? Simply put yes. The game is pretty good. Overall I had a lot of fun playing it. Visually the game is very cool and I loved the look of many of the augmented people and the various people in game are pretty neat with various shades of gray on their opinions towards stuff at times. I loved the plot line and where it went as well although I found myself hoping for more. I was hoping I might run across some creatures like in the original game but as this game is trying to run that blurry boundary between prequel and re-imagining those things and nano tech are mostly left out.
As far as flaws in game play I found that upgrading my Augs and the Inventory were the most frustrating. The Augmentations were a bit frustrating in that it was difficult getting them upgraded in the later parts of the game. Most of what I used my money for in the game was upgrade points but once you leave the city in China for the second time any money you have from that point on will be relatively useless. You won't come across another LIMB clinic to buy the points at and there won't be anywhere to buy anything else. As for the Inventory the thing which bugged me is even expanded to it's Max size I kept running out of room. One of the big reasons is the way Ammo is stored in it. You see Ammo is stored in an ammo box in you inventory and depending on the type of ammo the box varies in size. Now each box can only hold so much ammo. So once it's full if you get anymore it starts up a new box taking up even more space in your inventory. At any rate the later issue can be resolved if the item you want is a weapon mod. Just drop something pick up the mod and combine it with whatever you like and pick the dropped item back up. Oh and before I forget. There is one other issue I had with the game. Not really game play related. I found the text in stuff like the emails and pocket secretaries to be kinda small and difficult to read. Had the same problem with Mass Effect one and two. I think the issue is so many bank on you having a high def TV and if you don't the small text will not show up so well. Wish there was an option to make the text size just a bit larger.
At any rate at the end of the day Deus Ex Human revolution is a good fun game but it does have it's flaws. It's one of those games where you can play it a diffrent way each time and that's cool but also one where each time you'll get better at it. All and all I'd say I enjoyed the game and I do hope it gets a sequel and maybe some of my issues where will be addressed in it.
So any of you guys play the game? Any of you played the original? What did you think of em? What are your thoughts on it? Feel free to comment with them bellow. ^^

Liger Watch. Late movie opinions. XD
Posted 14 years agoWell I thought I'd get around and do a new Journal and since I did see two movies more recently but haven't really talked about em here I go. The Liger's opinions on Transformers Dark of the Moon and the final Harry Potter movie.
Lets start off with Transformers. First off I went to go see this movie while diapeed and it was nice not having to miss parts. Always love seeing a movie diapeed. Anyway back on topic how was the movie? It was good. I don't really have an extreme aversion to either of the last two though the second one did bug me a lot with the rapping robot twins. Who thankfully mysteriously disappeared it seems as they weren't in this movie. The plot was alright and I'll say this it is really cool seeing that vintage NASA footage up on the big screen. I got a few laughs from this one. Course that said I did have some issues with it. For one Sam winds up with a new girl and during the beginning as the cool plot with the autobots is unfolding we keep jumping back to Sam and his attempts to find a job and him dealing with his relationship with said new girl friend. Who at the very least is smarter then the last one. It was just annoying as things were getting good we switch back to Sam and I really didn't care about him all that much. The second thing that bugged me was the one Transformer talking about how they were like gods on Cybertron and how the humans would be used to help them rebuild it. For one thing what worshiped them on Cyberton? Scrap metal? And how the heck do humans make good slaves for this kind of manual labor intensive task? I mean heck we don't even reach the knee on most of these guys. That's like humans enslaving mice to build the Empire State building.
Anyway now onto Harry Potter. It was a pretty good movie. Very interesting. Didn't have a chance to get diapeed up though before we went to go see this one however. Anyway it was a nice way to tie everything up and bring things to a close. Hard to really peg down any one thing that was the best. But I do have a qualm or two with it. Nothing too major really. First off are things with Draco. Now for a while it seems they've tried to get us to kind of like him and show he's in conflict. But they did a poor job of it I think. I mean this new layer to him just feels like it comes out of nowhere and we really get no insight to him so it's hard to really feel anything for him. In this last movie when he was in danger well I really didn't feel all that sorry for him at all. Second thing and this is more minor. I would have liked a better death Scene for Voldimort. I mean the guy just does a lil yell and disintegrates. I think it would have been much better for Harry to have done one last attack spell which would have killed him and left a corpse. I think it's much more powerful to see the villain slump over to his knees and leave a body behind.
Well those are my movie opinions on those two. What did you guys think of the movies? Anybody seen a movie while diapered recently?
