Depends, really. Con space somewhere, though I MAYYYY nip off to downtown Chicago if there's a low point during the weekend.

Food. o.o Though anywhere really. Gonna veer away from the really expensive hotel restaurant, and on Sunday is the annual Sunday Night feed at Giordano's! Wanna go! Just ask me! :D pretty sure I'll say yes. ;)

Fun yes, food, nah. Wolves don't share.

Just to have fun and relax. I'm really happy they got rid of the fursuit parade, and I think I'll have Lili make an appearance with the menagerie thing they have going in its place!

You guys all know I like Peter Venkman, right? RIGHT? Well, I've been getting a lot of commissions and gift art of the little guy over the past couple of years and I decided to start properly show it off. No, Peter's not a furry, but he still counts. His creator's a furry, and she's a pal to a lot of us ( gabbicoon, yo!) so Pete counts as an HONOURARY furry. :)

Okay so FA is a sinking ship, let's face it. NOW there's reports of a nasty ransomware bug going around and affecting android users that access the site.

That's more or less my second home base as far as art goes, and if FA keeps going the way it is, I'm very likely going to stop posting here as well. Technical glitches I can understand, but I cannot tolerate security and malware threats as frequent and consistent as this.

I'm not leaving FA. Say what you will about it, but moving to another platform will only spread things out further and impact visibility.

Next to FA though, I have a second gallery at good old Deviantart: http://tdotbabs.deviantart.com/ Say what you will about DA, but I love the interface, and I like how I can spread out and post my non-furry artwork. There's also a lot of big name comic artists and such who use DA so I like the visibility and the fact that I can network with folks like that.

But yeah. Not leaving. FA is THE furry hub, and let's face it. It always will be. Sure there's other galleries, but relatively speaking, they're still in their infancy compared to FA which is notorious, well known, well used, and even has its own well-attended con. Will something eventually overthrow it? Maybe. But so far there's been a dozen other galleries that have come and gone and none of them have been able to do it.

I hit up Build a Bear while I was in Florida, and they have a line of plushies now that started last summer but to be honest, I'm surprised they haven't been a bigger hit in the furry community!

They're little brightly coloured rock star animal girls, but they have more of an anthro/furry look to them than Build a Bear's usual fare, as seen here:

They started out with a bear, a lop bunny and a tabby cat, but recently added a puppy and a vixen to the mix. And if that isn't furry enough, they now have little tiny sketchbooks you can buy for them as accessories! XD I grabbed the little fox, and a sketchbook, and I just adore her. I gave her her own little outfit and personality though. her name is "Affica" (Cos y'know, foxes go "Aff!")

They have songs and CGI videos of the little furries dancing, and the songs are actually kinda catchy. :)

Hope to see these guys get more attention out of us furries to be honest. After things like Zootopia are taking the community by storm, it's good to see other companies putting more anthro stuff like this in stores. :) They really are cute, and have the brightly coloured look so many of our fursonas have!

Sorry for the false alarm guys. I thought I would be able to stream tonight but honestly...it's not gonna happen.

Lately I've been under a lot of stress due to new things at my job, the snowy weather, the constant transit issues day after day. In addition, I have a TON of other stuff going on right now. I'm leaving for Florida next week, there's some important changes in my life coming up, and I still have to prep for Mediawest.

As such, all this has left me burnt out and my creative energy just isn't there right now. So I'm going to take some time to recharge, and I'll pick up Babstream on April 22. By that time I'll be recharged and in better touch with my creative muse again, and I'll have fun stuff to show and tell. :)

Hey guys! As you all know, I pimp a little fanzine/furry friendly con in Michigan called Mediawest.

The webmasters and the owners of this con are much older and a lot of them aren't up on how websites currently work. At this rate they could also use less on their plate anyway, so I decided to give them a hand by finding someone to give the website an overhaul and help them maintain and update it.

As sad as it is about Doug Winger's passing, I find myself reflecting on something. This man had very little family.  dustmeat and others eventually tracked down relatives, but for the most part, he didn't have anyone except Steve or Bob. But at the same time, Doug was far from alone. He had many close friends, and lived with Steven Martin and Bob Guthrie. From what I gather the three of them were very tight. He also had other close friends and people who cared about him, so even in the absence of blood relatives, this man was loved, and cared about, and never left alone, even in the end. And all these loved ones were other furs.

Thinking on that, it really is true how tight knit furries really are and how lucky we are. Doug wasn't the only one without relatives. There are so many of us, myself included, who don't have any blood family. Whether they passed away, we disowned them, they disowned us, whatever the story is, we're left without blood.

But in the end, it doesn't matter. Because as furries, we can always look towards our community and our friends to be our family. And in each one of our cases, we have that tight group of friends who we lean on, who lean on us, who love us unconditionally, and who teach us to love in that same fashion. As furries, we'll never be alone, and we'll never let each other be alone. We're our own family and support system.

I honestly can't think of another fandom of community that goes that deep.

Keep loving each other guys. We need each other.

Okay folks, as you know, Mediawest Con was last month and this was the first year they'd encountered furries, Bronies, and younger folks with younger interests. In short, we were a hit, they loved our energy and our creativity, and our participation!

That said, I'd like to start brainstorming for next year! What kinds of things would you guys like to see at a con like Mediawest? A fursuit parade? Video game consoles in their game room? Art jams or creators lounges?

As for parties, you're all cordially invited to the PETER PINKIE PONY PARTY, held in the party suite on Saturday May 23 from 5 - 7 pm! We'll have games, mad libs, food, snack and prizes, and the TV will be basting a nice combo of both Real Ghostbusters and My Little Pony to show how amazingly fun both of these shows are. :)
Tim,  kturtle and I also intend to host a Pony Sing Along, so if you want to see how furries and bronies shake things up on our side of the camp, come check it out, and party with us!

Outside of that, there will be fursuits in the Masquerade, new art in the art show, RGB and MLP in the video competition, and lots and lots of positivity.
