Opening Commissions (Extra Help For IFC Funds)
Posted 3 years ago I need some help raising some extra funds for IFC! I need about at least $900 extra for registration, hotel, gas, and food. Every little bit counts!

Posted 3 years ago Heading off to FanExpo Cleveland tomorrow! It'll just be a day of relaxation and getting settled into my hotel. Then on Friday I'll be setting up my table and having all my merch and sketch commissions open from 2:00 to 9:00 pm. Saturday I'll be available from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm and then I'm packing up to leave.

Posted 3 years ago I'll be at Indiana ComicCon in Indianapolis next weekend on April 15th - 17th and FanExpo in Cleveland, Ohio on April 29th - May 1st. I'll be selling some merch but mostly I'll be taking quick sketch commissions at my table Golden Mane Illustrations.
If anybody is going to these two cons this year I would love to know what you think I should make for future cons that you would love to buy? I already have a few shirts, some mini prints, lots of stickers, buttons, and keychains.
Would anyone love to see acrylic standees, charms, 3d mousepads, pins, big prints, or something else entirely that I didn't think of yet and what kind of art ideas of prints should I make? Would anyone like to see furries as Marvel characters? I've already done quite a few and I'll have them posted later. Please let me know what your suggestions are!
For future art ideas. I've seen where some other artists do special pre-orders for sketches and con badges and people order them already before cons and the artist makes them at home and then at the cons the customer goes to their table and picks up their sketches and badges. Should I do anything like that? Would anyone like a pre-order badge commission from me? If so I can go ahead and make a price sheet for those later on. Icons + Badge Commissions (OPEN)

Updates & News For Golden Mane Illustrations
Posted 3 years ago I have some exciting news for all my awesome and amazing followers! I've been super busy for the past few months designing new merch products and adding them into my store. I'm all ready and set to attend three different cons in April for Artist Alley and I got all the hotels booked.
I finally got around to ordering some merch products for shirts, keychains, stickers, buttons, and some art prints from my manufacturer. They are expected to be shipped and delivered by March 15th. I'm currently designing a little price sheet for quick traditional sketchs, inks, and fully colored art so I can do these at my table. I can't wait! I will be posting pictures later with all my products!

Recovered From Covid
Posted 4 years ago Good news, I've finally recovered from covid and I'm no longer showing symptoms but I'm still very fatigued and don't have tons of energy just yet to be doing much right now. I'm going to give my body one more week to rest and recover. I just bought an N95 mask to wear whenever I go out in public for extra protection.
Even though I now have immunity and my immune system is developing antibodies now I don't wanna risk anybody else around me getting sick from the Omicron variant. I haven't been that sick since the H1N1 Flu epidemic broke out back in 2009. My whole family got that flu virus and that wasn't an easy walk in the park either. Now covid...I rarely ever get sick often...and they call it mild... even though I'm fully vaccinated covid sure didn't feel mild to me, this was terrible. At the very end I had a lot of muscle pains in my left leg and thigh and I'm still dealing with that pain and I had a lot of irritating congestion build-up and headache pains. Thankfully no breathing problems and no nausea issues. No hospitalization...thank god for that! I think the Omicron variant only affects the throat and doesn't get into the lungs so that's a very good thing but you can still develop bronchitis I've heard. Thankfully I never got it!
By next week I will be getting back on routine to draw and work more on adding products in my store. Thankfully I'll put this all behind me soon and I'll get back to my original self again. I'm getting a little bit better each day so that's the positive side. Long Questionaire Thing

Posted 4 years ago I tested positive for covid recently on Monday and I'm sick. Probably the Omicron variant that's been spreading around a lot lately. I've been following everything that I've been supposed to do like wearing my mask and washing hands consistently but somehow it finally caught up to me and I contracted it. Way to start the New Year lol!
Thankfully I'm fully vaccinated so all I dealt with were mild symptoms similar to the flu. A 100° fever and night sweats and chills for the first two days and a throbbing unbearable headache and loss of appetite which was a pain in the ass but those are finally over with. Now all I'm dealing with now is a sinus and congestion and I can't smell anything. I'm also at a loss of energy and can't really do much except eat, sleep, and watch some movies but that's about it. Haven't dealt with loss of taste and no breathing problems. I've been taking a lot of supplements like vitamin C and zinc as well as doing natural remedies and putting elderberry in grape juice to help my immune system recover properly which has helped greatly.
I really want to go back and draw and work more on adding more products in my store but I don't have a lot of energy to do so. This sucks big time but at least I'm lucky to not be in the hospital and dying so I'm very happy about that. Once I test negative and I'm no longer dealing with symptoms I will get right back on continuing to work on my art and posting products. Here's to hoping I beat this nasty covid virus soon and I'm able to gain my strength and health back again. Happy New Year 2022! 🎆🎉

What are my goals for 2022?:
- To be more outspoken about being autistic and being a better advocate for myself and for other autistic people.
- To attend at least one or two conventions within the US. I'm also making goals to eventually in 2023 to travel out of the country to other conventions and do a little tourist site-seeing along the way.
- To continue making more products related to neurodiversity, autism, other disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ content in my store. https://golden-mane-illustrations.myshopify.com/
- To put at least an ad posting out every single day about my business on my social media platforms. Twitter, TikTok, and here on FA. Also to send out business cards in conventions and other art events as well as flyers and posting them in libraries, stores, and other public places where allowed.
- To meet new people and build more relationships with others for business related and maybe even new potential friendships.
- To continue working and improving in my art and learning new techniques and skills to help better my art style even though I know I'm already satisfied with my art I would love to learn more. Free Art Raffle

Question About Commissions
Posted 4 years ago I'm curious, lately it seems that I haven't gotten enough attention and interest in my YCH's and commissions. I don't really know why and it kinda bothers me because I wanna feel like my art is getting the attention it deserves. Are my prices reasonable enough or do you think I should raise them a bit more?
I don't know why. In past years I used to get at least a few interests in commissions but last year and this year I've had no luck. I understand the financial situation for a lot of people right now and saving money because of the covid pandemic but still. I do see at least a few other artists getting a lot of commissions with no problem at all and I'm just wondering how you all do it. How do you get that many commissions in one day or in at least a week or more? I try to advertise and promote my art but don't see nothing happening.
Is it because I'm not posting a lot of art everyday? I've been improving my art and working it every single day. Should I do more art and make YCH's that people would enjoy getting from me that is of their interest like more nsfw adult art since I know the majority of Furaffinity is adult rated?
I don't mean to sound like I'm downing myself because that's not my intention, I'm just wondering why this has been happening and why I'm not able to get more commissions. I haven't had any luck so far at all. It's a little disappointing for me because I want people to like my art enough to wanna support me as an artist and enjoy the art I make for them to wanna buy it.
