I fell behind a bit bc of some trouble so I am working on finishing up September BEFORE these are started, however those are all started and I am just winding down to finishing them all now. Either way, gotta open up for October!!

I am offering a couple things this time! I really love Halloween so I'm gonna sorta be offering some Halloween goodies among other things.

For the most part things will be in the usual order HOWEVER I will try to put priority on getting the Halloween stuff done first because of the obvious time constraint. ;]

I wanna test out having like a set amount of things, but if I need to adjust a little (for instance: if someone really really doesn't want the thing i have left, I may consider doing one of the other 2 things and moving the slot over) but I'd like to keep it to the selection I picked this time if I can !

"I very likely have DID (dissociative identity
disorder) due to extreme amounts of trauma
in my life

It is taking me a lot of courage to send this, I
hardly like to ever post about my own
existence aside from art online.

I have been misdiagnosed, abused and
sexually assaulted by doctors in inpatient
care, and thrown into the care of irresponsible
behavioral health workers at age 15 (also
supported by my parents) and put on many
meds that have permanently damaged my nervous system and brain. The side
effects are permanent. (Tics, shaky hands,
blurred vision)

I was sent to orchard place in lowa when i
was 15, and I stayed there in residential
treatment for 9 months. This was extremely
bad, as I was roommates with someone who
openly bragged about sexually assaulting
children. I am a sexual assault victim.

The staff were overworked and underpaid,
and the only thing I came back with (besides
extra trauma) was a bpd diagnosis.

This has lead doctors to accuse me of lying
about my illnesses, due to the terrible stigma
around bpd, which I likely do not even have. It
is the most common misdiagnosis of DID

I am 21 now, still living with my parents who
abused/neglected me growing up. There is a
risk that they may see this. But I'm not sure
what else to do.

Living in the same house I was verbally
abused in since I was 4 is not good for me. I
need to get away.

My Healing and recovery cannot fully begin
until this happens

I will not go into detail about anything that
happened to me as a young child, but just
know it was also bad and I'd prefer not to
think about it

I however will answer any questions about
my stay at orchard place and my current
living situation, and mental illness.

I really need help. I want to stay alive

This is not a demand, or me trying to
pressure anyone into giving me money, I
really really didn't want to do this for the
longest time but anyone who can spare any
change will be much appreciated, I will save it
for things I need

As well as things like art supplies to make

I am applying again for disability, I don't know

since i made that last journal explaining i've been a little slow due to mental health reasons i've only seemed to get like. WORSE?

i don't even know why I'm struggling so badly but my mental health has just been like. awful recently.

i don't wanna make like 1000 ychs and spam anyone so if it doesn't kick off i just won't do it but

i was thinking maybe it would be nice to make some ychs with backgrounds, since, i can somewhat do them and practice is not bad, and also i like that ychs can go in my own direction rather than be specific the other way around

edit: also they would not be clone ychs. i don't feel like doing that. it would get old fast for me and everyone else.

i also am considering trying to do some pwyw (with a minimum) experimental pieces but i need to test that kind of thing first. if not pwyw then just experimental in general bc i want to mix things up and while i like what i offer i also enjoy playing with colors and textures sometimes that could be fun for something experimental.

oh and i decided based on my last journal i might take a break from chibis as well as icons.

so we'll see!

i feel kinda bad making this journal since the last one like this was only like 3 months ago BUT

i'm gonna be adjusting my price sheet again for the next batch

i've come to realize i've dug myself into a bit of a financial situation irl and since none of my commissions take me less than like two hours minimum it isn't fair for me to make under minimum wage per hour on my stuff TuT;;

so cheaper things that take me longer will be going up, while other things may stay similar or the same. i'm still figuring out what i want to change.

i'll also be swapping out some examples too since ive sort of been making my full AND sketch coms look a little nicer with the line colors and such

one major change will be that i'm most likely gonna be removing icons from the price sheet entirely because:
- i'm no longer happy with how they come out compared to the other things i offer
- they are way underpriced for the time and effort i put into them despite this and
- they take up most of my slots it feels like, which just isn't enough to live off of comfortably in the end

i hope this won't be too troublesome ! i will still try to be fair with my prices but i gotta make sure i can pay the bills and such and try to be more fair to myself with the time-to-pay ratio.

things aren't updated yet but i'll get to that soon enough. i just don't want to have to sacrifice quality to make things dirt cheap and mass-produced and would rather put time and effort into a nice and fairly-compensated-for commission ;;

HEY so I have 2 things left to finish up from february (which is unfortunately a shorter month,) and then onto the next one, so, making a journal now so I can get right to work when I'm done with the last batch!

IMPORTANT: I did some price changing, added some new options, removed a few old ones. One of the biggest removals would be the option for soft shading because I wasn't happy with how it was coming out and need more time to figure that out, I think. So for now it's back to cell. I added sketch headshots and clean headshots as options! I think some of you may enjoy those. I also re-wrote some stuff and want to make sure people know that sketches will be more artistically free than clean stuff because it makes it easier for me to keep it...sketchy. Hoping that will help the issue a bit. I also added a line to my T.O.S..

So I've been considering price adjustment for a little while now but I've been hesitant..!

I want to raise prices a little for certain things because some stuff I truly put a lot of time and effort into (my lines are something i try very hard to make smooth and sharp on most of my art, even the sketches on accident turn out less sketchy than my personal ones and they aren't even as nice as the fulls).

I'm not sure if I should offer flats or not at this time but if it's of interest I'll consider throwing that on as an option as well!

I sort of wish I could re-do the way I do sketches to be less... clean. My personal sketches are not very clean and that's part of the charm for people. However when I get commissioned for a sketch I go overboard out of habit of wanting things to look nice. Which can be good or bad for the commissioner since they usually get something higher quality but then it's at the expense of my time and I feel silly because the only difference between my sketches and my fulls right now is the lineart on the sketches is less sharp and perfect but only if you squint ....... orz

so i don't know if i should do away with sketches or try to force myself to stop making them so ...... perfect? i have a bit of a perfectionist issue even if i know i am not a perfect artist by any means

other than that...

fullbodies, drawn icons and chibis will probably stay. people like those for the most part. i may or may not remove pixels for now, though. they haven't gotten commissioned yet and frankly they take quite a bit of time since i do them by mouse on computer so it might just be best to discontinue them for now. not mad at all, just not sure if it's worth offering at this point ^^;

and i still wanna offer ref sheets but maybe adjust the way i do pricing on that as well

one thing that might be interesting to offer is headbusts/shoulders up pics? i used to do those quite a bit and they probably would be a nice option for those who don't wanna get a fullbody.

i also think i might have to make some prices for the types of (optional, not corrective) edits i often get requests for. these are fine but they do take time and i usually don't ask for much, but i really should charge more for different versions of things since it does take time and effort to change the image as well ^^;

anyway, I'm considering changing stuff up a little, but... if someone is absolutely against that please let me know. i don't wanna lose commissioners because i was selfish or anything ;;"

My car brakes went out, so I have to go take it to get those fixed, and I'm very anxious about it,
