A bit of advice to save our Herp Help Volunteers some time:
Don't take lizards from the wild! Put it back outside! - Don't release your pet outdoors! Find a rescue or reptile enthusiast! - Don't impulse buy! Research your chosen species before you buy!
Lizard Keeping Chat
Posted 13 years agoFeel free to post lizard and lizard keeping related news articles, videos, FA submissions, journals, and websites below, as well as anything else to start a conversation! Please reply to the conversation's comment string in question rather than starting a fresh comment string.
Please mark live feeding, adult, and heavy gore links with a warning.
This is NOT a place to advertise animals for sale. If you have an animal that needs adopting, perhaps check our Herp Help Volunteers thread. The keepers there should be knowledgeable and might be able to help you figure out what to do. Please note they are NOT rescues to dump your animals on, but some might be interested in adopting your animal. I must request that you do not use this as a way to solicit sales or "rehoming fees." This is not craigslist.

Herp Help Volunteers
Posted 13 years agoPlease only leave your name here if you have solid knowledge and experience. When you give husbandry advice to someone, you are taking the life of an animal in to your hands, and misinformation given to someone who doesn't know better can have dire consequences!
If you are looking for someone to help you hands on with a lizard keeping related problem, please thumb through the volunteers in the comments below! Questions can be answered publicly by replying to their post, or you can note them. DO NOT start a fresh comment thread for your question! It will not be seen and will thus go unanswered.
Do keep in mind that none of their advice is a substitute for Veterinary Treatment. If in doubt, see a vet first. If you are told to see a vet, don't go and ask the next person for a magic cure.. take them to the vet!
If you are willing to offer your expertise to beginning lizard keepers or can help chew on a tougher problem with more advanced lizards, please comment below. Provide a short summary of your experience with reptiles and what you can help with so the curious can choose the best volunteer to ask for their problem. Please keep an eye out for comments in reply to your post here so questions are not missed.

You can do such by adding :lizardkeepers icon: without the space to your profile information! To facilitate members being able to contact you about your lizards and lizard keeping, it would be awesome if you left a comment below, as shouts disappear from the front page over time.
Tell us about yourself, or your scaly charges! Leave the information as loose as you like so you don't have to come back and constantly update. If you wish to update your information, please do so in a reply to your original comment!
