50 Hatchingdays
Posted a week agoI'm 50 today. I think at this point I am officially a greymuzzle (greybeak?).
I don't tend to make any plans for my birthday, so we're just winging it today. Going to head into London with my daughter, meet my wife once she's finished work, head out for dinner somewhere and that's about it in terms of celebration.

Me - Because you've set the starting bid at $500, maybe?

AI Art on Bluesky being passed off - Buyer Beware
Posted 2 weeks agoA quick heads-up to all you fine folks that this account -
furrydesirer.bsky.social
Is posting AI art without being honest that it's AI generated. If you look closely at the pics, you see the "sound effects" are just meaningless gibberish, the store signs that aren't real words and the faces that we've all seen in a hundred other AI images.
If you wanna post AI generated images, fine, but don't try and deceive people into thinking you're something you're not and then disable comments so nobody can call you out for it. I wouldn't give a shit, except that they've got a Subscribestar to try and get people to give them money for this junk.

Primitive War - For all you dino fans.
Posted 3 weeks ago"Primitive War" is by the same guy who did "Occupation" and "Occupation: Rainfall", making this the third movie of his I've seen. Both of those paid too much attention to spectacle rather than plot, characters or dialogue, thinking bombast and massive CGI explosions were a replacement for a coherent storyline and memorable characters
Despite being over two hours long, this film about a team of soldiers getting sent out into the jungle to find the OTHER team of soldiers that have mysteriously disappeared, is MUCH tighter in its storytelling, with more time spent giving our hapless grunts character development and actually decent lines before most of them get eaten by adorably fuzzy little toothy killing machines. It drips with that Vietnam-era movie vibe, from the bitching and moaning of our cast, to the oppressive, rain soaked jungle to the soundtrack full of songs you've heard in other movies like Platoon, Full Metal Jacket and the like.
So what about the dinosaurs themselves? Is the dinosaur CGI any good?
Ehhhhhh....It's serviceable. In some places it works really well. In others? Not so much. But the movie's got solid action scenes, a couple of genuinely great kills, and oodles of CGI blood on offer. If you like your Vietnam war movies with a side of fluffy reptile schlock, you should check this out.

Tattoo Artists - Suggestions for text?
Posted a month agoHey folks. So I have a tattoo that I'd like to get, a line from a poem that means a lot to me. It's Dorianne Laux's "Antilamentation" and the line is "You've traveled this far on the back of every mistake" but I'm kinda stumped on exactly HOW to get it done.
I've had a couple of folks try to design me a tattoo in the past that incorporates more than just the text, but it always ends up looking kinda clunky. I know I could do just the text on its own, there's always the classic/cliche "typewriter" font that you so often see but is that my best choice? Do any of you folks have advice on how you'd handle someone asking for text to be inked on them?
(Also, not looking to somehow get an actual design for free! Just need advice before approaching any of my local tattoo places, though if there is someone who has an amazing idea for how to do it, we can totally talk about you getting paid for it.)

Got two other folks in the queue after that. I am open to commission ideas if you'd like to grab a space on the queue as well. Drop me a line!

Fetish content can be a lonely affair
Posted 6 months agoSometimes it would be nice to be able to be more open about the stuff I write, to talk it over with folks, to swap ideas and talk about how excited I am to be working on a new story, but I can't exactly chat about it on Facebook, or stream it on Twitch. I operate in a niche within a niche of internet culture and most folks would likely be horrified by the stuff I work on.
I've been called sick and perverted and all manner of names under the sun before now. Even had a death threat or two, but that was a while ago. The internet is both a more restrictive and more permissive place now, but I know my stories still go far too far for most people.
Anyway. Just wanted to sound off. Back to my next commission about another guy having a very, very bad day. Not a human this time, though!
I know. Shocking.
TTFN.

Guess I won't be joining Inkbunny.

Oh well.

1. Aliclan
2. Galis
3. Torvid
So we've got some classic gryphon trampling/smothering, some snake coiling and loving dragon abuse, and a rather fasincating story involving a very angry woman, the rival who's at her mercy, and a cloning machine. Stay tuned!
