Posted 16 years agoI just spent a large chunk of my lazy day yesterday re-listening to the ilovebees.com audio drama. Jesus, five years later, and I'm still amazed at how good that thing was. It always leaves me near tears by the end. :(

You all should know the drill at this point. 8 things about me that're true. Friends don't let friends tag memes.
1. I've currently been playing FFIV DS obsessively. So nostalgiatastic, even if the script and dungeon design are pretty seriously dated at this point. (I liked how adult-Rydia looked in the SNES version better :( )
2. I have no piercings now, but I did, at one point, have one ear and both nipples pierced.
3. I don't identify as furry. I like the art style, I think anthro characters are fun to play, but it's just not a big enough part of my life or identity for me to really care to wear that label around.
4. The first time my current partner and I got down and dirty, they had me crawl on all fours and bark while they touched me; if I stopped barking, they stopped touching. Yeah, we're good together.
5. If I could have any superpower, it would be teleportation.
6. Before I really knew what it meant or was, I had a huge crush on Atreyu from the Neverending Story movie as a kid. I was so upset that someone else played him in the shitass sequel.
7. I once had a couple songs and a plot outline for a musical written when I was in high school. No, I don't still have them and no you couldn't see them even if I did.

Posted 16 years agoOkay, it's time for a chat, because that Taylor Swift song was stuck in my head ALL of yesterday, and because I'm waiting for some songs to download on Rock Band.
Now, I have no problems with seeing Romeo and Juliet as an incredibly romantic story, because it can be (although let's face it, it's largely about teenage lust more than love); I know I still get shmoofy seeing the Baz Luhrmann version. But it's also a TRAGEDY; in fact, that's it's first and foremost reason for being. THEY END UP DEAD. In fact, SEVERAL people end up dead. "Never was a story of more woe" is how it wraps up. WOE. So please don't compare your silly high school crush to R+J; just because you two are in different homerooms and you have a curfew is not the same as your families having a blood vendetta against each other. Unless the UNIVERSE ITSELF is conspiring to make your lives end up as shitty as possible after you've had a brief flirtation of a romance, you're just making yourself look silly.
