Clans of Saol Grennan
Posted 12 years agoSaol Grennan is a world I made some time back if you remember me posting the journal about Miradh and Ragh Grennan.
Loosely, Saol Grennan is "Green Soul" in a fake language obviously. Referring to their Earth. (Which they have not uncovered fully, only the surrounding areas.)
Their are going to be five main clans, and many sub clans. Each clan has a certain mythos about it and all intertwine, creating friendship or distrust. I have not named all the clans, but have named their deities.
1. Ragh Grennan ( Pronounced "Row Gren-on", means Green Rock.) - A clan of mostly hyenas and goats (typically rams), who worship and share a kinship with Saol Grennan and it's deity, who is named Saol Grennan. The primary element being Earth. Ragh grennan is a very spiritual clan and allied with their seabound neighbors. Shamans run the day to day while hunters and warriors keep food and stability in their territories. Their specialties include camoflauge and magick, while also training special heavy units who were born bigger. Their faults are their lack of very heavy metals, and thus they do more with bow and arrow or spears and clubs. They are hunter gatherers and often live simply except on the borders with enemies, where their thief like skills made use of enemy steel and other metals.Their symbol is the Willow and moon, and they are kin with the Dryads (Tree spirits) who roam their lands. And many paint up their fur with incandescent blue ritual markings when gathering in the Fey Forests, where the spirits recognise them as friends rather than leading them to deaths. A friendly clan to outsiders.
2. The Miradh (Pronounced "Mehr-aw", basically refers to the spirits in the water. Directly from deity.)- A clan that builds on and under the vast lakes and oceans, they are very akin to Ragh Grennan spiritually. Another spiritual clan, they have become economic, and since they control all water access have become the Constantinoples of their world. all clans have some dealings with them except for the land bound fire clans. They deal in very little magick and rather use bows and spears, and special stabbing tools for when they are under water. Their deity is Saola Miradh (pronounced "Showla Mehr-aw" and was once land bound like Grennan. However in the mythos, the two fell in love and their father furious, casting her in the water and turning Grennan to a willow when he tried to reach in. Anyways, Miradh was preg during an escape and birthed both the Myriads and Dryads, and so the clans are allies and linked. Very friendly to outsiders. Especially ones who trade rare items.
3. Fairdha tire (Pron. "Fair-haw Teer-eh" , meaning "Fire folk") - Not the friendliest clan. Though, spiritually, their deity is in love with Miradh, their clan does not often get along with them, and they HATE the Grennan spiritually and in war. Ironically they worship not Fire and the Sun, but Fire and Darkness, making their presence far more threatening. The Fire folk live under the mountains, along with the darkness, mining sturdy metals and creating altars that are best described as "SCARY AS FUCK". They specialize in warfare and heavy armor and all matter of weapons. Due to their dark homes however, they are not the best archers. The horror behind them is not only do their heavy armor pyromancers sport an alliance with the air clan above, but they also have necromancers that bring their dead to life under the Dead God Manannan. Economically they dont give any shits, as they are perhaps the wealthiest of all, mining gold and gems, along with adamantium and other mythical metals. They worship the fire dragon, Saol Fairdha (Pron. "Showl Fare-haw") and pay respects to Crow god Manannan, and his rotting clan below even them. Not friendly to outsiders at all.
4 Speartha Tire (Pron. "Sh-bear-ha Teer-aw" , means Sky Folk) - A curious clan that is allied to the Fire Folk merely because it became impossible for the land bound folks to get down the mountain. Those who cant fly find they are pushed about by the fire clan below and often stay high up and some have trained drakes and eagles to fly for them. The strange thing about them is their shamans are not trained, they are born. Blind children are born rarely and actually grow wings abnormal to their species. Their people include many races but mostly the avian and dragon people, and despite their alliance, they are neutral, bullied into offering their drakes' wings for battle. They worship Saol Speartha which is a blind eagle. Their symbols are Eagle and Sun. Despite their bullied nature, they are proud and the dragon species often make the fire folk back off. Friendly to outsiders, though they have few.
5. Dubh Domhan ( Pron. "Doov Dowan", means World's Death.) - This is almost technically not a race. Mostly mixed and magick. Manannan the Crow God of Darkness has gifted renegades from other clans with necromancy and raised superior Liches and undead for his army. The mass of the army are undead, but his living people (excusing renegades from other clans) are rats, bats, and spirit creatures called the Baidh Sidhe (Basically Banshee) who are tall gaunt creatures pale white with black or red hair and fur. This clan lives far far under the mountains where the fire folk live and have holds all over the map, living below in wait, collecting the dead and raising them. Second biggest threat to the world. Not friendly. Symbols are the Crow and bones.
There is one last force that is not worldly. It is called the Feinimean (Phenomenon). I havent decided what it should appear as other than drastically changing light. It is the single biggest threat to existence and appears at random and more so in places where stress and spiritual conflict occurs. It causes things to happen that simply cant. Like a rock forming in a tree trunk or a structure stuck in mid air, generally pure illogical chaos (And for this reason I really wanted it to be a Crux xD ) It is not of the mortal or spiritual dimension and will later play a large role as the end of days.
Im not going to write much about this :/ However I am open to roleplay with my characters in Ragh Grennan.
One is a warrior who has been bewitched, another is a young druid in training.

Posted 12 years agoNo one shows interest in hiring me because my last (and second ever :/ ) job discharged me for tardiness.
I am now forced to think either hobo or serial killer.
So instead, let's take a different route that's more rewarding to everyone. I want to be a soldier.
Specifically a soldier spec.'d in Medical, like a field medic.
Im planning to get married so Splash may live on base, and either way, we get taken care of while I get yelled at and do 947932758375980725378772338 push-ups.
I hate running so I may start doing that,as well as push ups and sit ups
I don't really have any other way to workout, nor know any ways :C Im mad because I dont know anyone who will workout with me and push me.
But thats what boot camp is for I guess.

It's post apocalyptic in a place where working machinery is rare as are guns.
No one has the knowledge of complex mechanisms except for several forced.
Most others have resorted to tribal onstinct ,using old world equipment as weapons and traps.
Due to recent events, Loki and Spore will become part of this rp universe as creations of the main antagonists. No longer Dragonfly since I think the leader is dead.
This also let's me return Hector and Heinrich to Nazi Germany and explain something neat later in this writing.
I'm still brainstorming characters, organizations, and trying to solidify my plot.
But if you want a feel for my inspiration in this look up "Otherworld" by Eluveitie.
It's post apocalyptic in a place where working machinery is rare as are guns.

Im working on getting therapy at a free clinic a town away and hope to get some help with medications so I dont do anything of the sort again.
I don't feel any better, but I have been tring to be more reclusive with it outwardly. Might actually start drawing comics again for my own amusement ^^
If I dont frustrate myself into a wall again.
I've discovered a lot of reason to draw them, but not too much to practice on xD They might be dooky for a while until I get back into it. And thats just if I start uploading them. I have no scanner, so I might not want to play with the idea of sharing it elsewhere.
In other news I have a new favorite song :U Minus by In Flames.
Just sayin'.

Coloration: Tan with white voodoo looking markings on his back, and theighs. He has a white belly, groin, throat and chin. Black stockings up his forearms and forelegs with tan markings on his forearms. His fingers and toes are white. Pads are fleshy pink, nose is black. His eyes are blue. His ears also sport black with white tips. Tail is tan with a white tip.
Clothing choice: Open black pin stripe dress shirt, black cargo shorts, combat boots optional, usually not there. He wears a red bandana adorned with black skull patterns and has thin frame oval reading glasses with he wears clip ons with at times. He wears leather fingerless gloves when he has his boots on. May also be wearing a black military style cap with some german pins on it.
Physique: Lithe but not toned, has a bit of a beer gut. Stands 5'11". American accent, uses some country and street lingo. Looks of a wolf, has the hyena laugh.
Attitude: Laid back, but can get irritated after much pushing. He is not one to start a fight, but will finish it if he feels pissy enough. Lacking in self esteem, but has a big ego to combat it. Friedrich drinks socially and is clean of drugs and cigs. He is social, and hates inactivity, becoming complacent if he's left alone. Stand up type of person, wont watch people be picked on without provocation. He is confused sexually and spiritually.

Of course I will become depressed and not write it because I have no fucking incentive to do it.
I am thinking up characters for it, so thats a start...
... like all the other stories I never wrote.

Some shit about him:
Vincenzio is a charismatic proprietor of a whorehouse and slave market in the underground of England. He is not so much dangerous as he is perverse, and is very tolerant of most things. Despite this, he is much more lenient to people with one thing in common -- money.
He is ambitious, and seeks the crowd baring status via wealth. On top of his business he also runs several gambling operations in remote locations. This love for money and prowling for willing loaners has nicknamed him Shark, and he does not live it down; he enjoys being the predator.
Aside from business, his personal life is erie. He likes to dig up bodies or obtain them through other means and dress them in masquerade outfits and doll suits and make his private residence seem like it's filled with partygoers, and has even managed to mechanize them, with the help of some local misfits ( Loki, Spore*, and Mala ) And in his free time alone.... partakes in their "willingness".
Attire: Vincenzio is often in masquerade outfits, always sporting a white long beaknosed half-face mask.The colors of his outfits often change with his mood, but is mostly black and with a tricorn hat on top. He is also often seen with a trendy cane.

Age: 1 year (clone of loki)
Species: Wolf/Hyena/ Unknown Flora
Some shit about him:
Spore is what happens when you take Loki and accidentally clone him with DNA from a hallucinogenic flora sample. Looking and acting exactly like Loki, Spore has sevral small differences that make him unique. First of all, his flesh and tissue glows florescent blue, and this means his exposed bits glow faintly in the dark and moreover, his ears, nose, irises, pads, maw and naughty bits are blue, dark during light times and aqua blue in the dark. Secondly, Spore has a reason for his name; he produces toxic hallucinogenic spores regularly, this is toxic, but not fatally so, and causes euphoria or terrible nightmare delusions depending on the hosts mood.
Spore and Loki are hardly seperable, doing EVERYTHING together. For this reason, Mala is forced to wear a rebreather always. Loki is immune to most hallucinogens, so is rarely affected by Spore.
Oddly, Spore has different types of spores he gives off, and in good light they can be distinguished by different colors of haze. So Loki may be affected by some.
