OMG AFC WAS AMAZING!!!
Posted a month agoSo first of all I haven’t been to a furcon since Califur 2013 and only went for a single day. This last weekend was AFC and I finally got to attend a furcon. I was only originally going for Friday but thanks to JustinViper, I was able to attend Saturday as well. I had so much fun saw a lot of furs I haven’t seen since Califur. I also met up with friends I’ve made since moving to Orange County. With regret A fur was trying to get my attention and I wasn’t fully in my head due to trying to reach JustinViper on the phone. So I’d like to extend a formal apology to the fur trying to say Hi to me It wasn’t out of bad intentions. I was just distracted by trying to reach Justin and trying to plan out my time at the con.Updates!
Posted 3 years agoSo here we are a month away from my birthday and I feel i need to share what’s been going on lately in my life. I currently live in the Orange County area of Los Angeles. I have a good paying job working for the food and beverage service at a hotel.
In April I went in to work one day and was experiencing lower abdominal pains on the left side. I attempted to continue to work but after 30mins the pain just kept getting more and more intense that my manager recommended that it would be best for me to go home. On the way up the elevator in the parking lot a coworker told me what i was feeling was what he felt before his appendix ruptured and that scared me enough to check me into the ER to get looked at. After a cat-scan of the pelvic region (that was an interesting experience having radioactive compounds injected into me)[like the rest of us macro/hyper furs i was having certain ideas of what side affects the radioactive chems would cause] and 5 vials of blood being taken, Cat-scan showed nothing wrong just an enpouchment of my colon which the ER doctor recommended keeping an eye on it. Then came the real shocker Blood sugar was 400. Diagnosis: (new onset) diabetes.
Now that I’m living here i had my primary medical doctor moved from San Diego Sharp to UCI. After seeing my new doctor and new endocrinologist it is confirmed type2 diabetes but if I keep up with my medication and checking my blood sugar it might be reversible.
With my 38th birthday less than a month away I feel like its necessary for me to get a lot of what I have been putting off doing and finally getting things done. For example putting all my OC adopts to use and making good use of them all. I want to also reconnect with all my friends and loved ones I have lost touch with over the years due to not being able to attend conventions or just being distracted with real life bs. Know that I do still care very much for all my friends and family here on and beyond FA.
Also Ill be attending comic con again thanks to the booth I volunteer for. This will be the first comic con since the pandemic that will be in person. I hope to see some of my good friends when I return to San Diego. I know I owe a few friends a dinner of sushi.
Ill keep you all apprised of further developments.

Posted 4 years agoAbsolutely getting excitedly for my Birthday this Friday, turning 37. I also get paid tomorrow so hoping to get a couple of adopts Ive got my eyes on. Plus i plan to do some major uploading on to the fa servers due to my some what hectic life is was living before having moved and am now living with a room mate. I need to post art and characters i have been meaning to post for quite some time on fa and start giving these characters life. Anyways here’s to 37.

Moving to a new area definitely put things into new perspective and makes you want to explore new areas and being more daring. So with the move I was gifted with help from a beloved friend of mine that helped me move from San Diego to my new living arrangement here in the Long Beach Area. The Second is a gift from my father that allowed me to upgrade my iPhone get an Apple Watch and an Oculus Quest 2. With them both I hope to broaden my knowledge of tech and learn more about Virtual Reality.
Im really hoping to have many fun and exciting adventures on the Oculus Quest 2 and welcome any and all advice to better my experience. Does anyone know if I can play BoofVR from Werethrope? Also I welcome any and all VR game advice to try and broaden my horizons.

Staying with a friend who is letting me stay with them rent free for two month.
Its only been 2 days but it has been exciting, confusing, frustrating, scary, and sad all at once.

I like all of us being trapped in a covid obsessed world and bound to state regulations as to what limits our out door activities and meeting up with fellow furs in the irl. I have been watching a lot of anime and playing switch. I love Funimation Now app an extensive library of anime that includes original lupin episodes and Tenchi.
Anyways I was watching a series on there of an interesting take on detective stories. Where detectives can probe the minds of murders based on the killer intent left behind at the crime scene and the detective has to probe through the criminals ID Well (mental projection of their personal reality). The only thing is to be a detective the person has to be a murder themselves and serve their time helping lock up other criminals.
The series is called ID: INVADED (absolutely love it)
So there is a song in the middle of one of the episodes that I can't get enough of. The title is "Memories of love." I won't spoil the entire series for you but check it out.

Politics ruined a 14yr friendship!! UGH!!!!
Posted 6 years agoSo another fur and I have been friends for years, 14 to be precise and I had always thought/felt that we could rely and count on eachother to have the others backs no matter what. Well for the last few months I been fighting with my friend over something we shouldn’t be fighting over.... Politics.
I have said to this fur over and over again “stop i dont want our friendship to be about the politics or the beliefs we practice, can we please talk as friends and have no drama.” Or “Drop the politics and just talk to me”. Lately its just been endless political talk.
((Disclaimer: I generally dont care about anyone’s politics as a fur it doesnt define who you are. Even as a fur I accept you for you and want to know you for you, as a person and as a fur; dem, republican, gop, green, independant, gay, bi, trans, lesbian, neutral, Herm and what ever magical rainbow unicorn you pray too. I accept you. I mean isnt that what attracted us to the fandom in the first place. ))
So to get to how this fourteen year friendship dewindeled down to nothing i guess ill have to take you back aways, yes back to October of last year. So in October I was preparing for my lil brothers wedding to his highschool sweetheart and everything seemed to be going fine. Me and the other fur were chatting about normal stuff checking in and talking about art. You know the same furry stuff.
November to early December everything was happy and dont really recall the details of November well. But finally reached out to the other fur when i got my new MacBook Pro and went on SL. As i went to hang out virtually with this fur he started in on me about politics. How he thought i need to move out of California because he thinks I’m being brainwashed and that i cant think for myself because I’m just a pawn to the Democratic Party. That i need to move to him and start living a more prosperous and became a real American by becoming republican. That democrats are evil and supporters of the kkk and white suppremists.
I was floored and confused. I asked him “please lets not talk politics. How are you?” He went on to further attack my sanity and mental capacity. He wouldn’t hear me out. As soon as i was typing a reply he already had his next attack line coming at me. It was breaking my heart that he viewed me under such negative light just because i choose to be democrat.
For the last few month i have listened and took attack after attack to my character by this fur who I thought knew and understood me and that i thought i knew and understood him. He went from being my best friend/ first love to internet troll attacking me and insulting me. I have cried and screamed in frustration over the pain in my heart i felt for my dear friend but he cant put politics aside unless i agreed to his demands that i change who i am.
I mean what do you say to that? I never thought this is how my friendship with this fur would ever end. We have met irl and i care for him i always will. Ill fight to the death for his right to believe in what he believes in. All i wanted was the same respect. It is what is promised to each and every last one of us in the constitution.
He has blocked me on all chats and such. Thats fine I guess. I hope in time we can get back to the friendship we had but without political interference. He knows who this is about.....

Emotional Turmoil...
Posted 7 years ago I know alot of you have noticed my mood has been in a downward place and is continuing to buckle under family drama stress. I'm trying my best to stay positive and keep smiling but its hard when I'm carrying 3 peoples feelings. Its really starting to drain me dry and i don't know what to relieve the pressure off my mind and my emotions. As much as i love chatting to you my friends, it is not the same as having someone to meet and talk things out with.
Please know I'm trying to cheer up but Its really difficult.....

Posted 7 years agoSo a few things happened and I need to address.
For one, my life has been chaotic the last few years living with my family. My mom especially canbe cruel and hurtful to me and is why I never introduce my friends to her or her to them. Today things boiled over all because of a stupid argument about American idol. She is accusing me of purposely not recording it when I made sure it was recorded and I remember queing it up on the TV for her. She doesn’t remember a thing it and she again just jumps to the conclusion that I purposely or that I genuinely forgot to record it.
I attempted to defend my opinion and give her facts to the contourary. But she never listens. Something breaks it’s my fault and she yells at me. So today my inner voice said “stand up for yourself your 33 stop letting her hurt you.” So I yelled back.
Yelling at her was a big mistake. “If your going to yell you can walk out that front door and sleeping gutter for all I care.” Confused, and angry I grabbed my IPad and iPod. Told her “fine I’ll go hang with people who care about what I have to say and respect my opinion.” After reaching out to a few furs to meetup at a local mall I gathered my stuff and she entered my room to add insult to injury. “So your gonna leave because of a stupid episode of American idol.” She scuffed in my face.” Your acting really childish and stupid.”
I don’t know about you all but she just wanted to instagate things further. After getting the confirmation that my friends would meet with me I walked out of the room and went to inform her that I was leaving cause I thought our emotions were raw and we needed time from each other. She disagreed to the point she chased after me to stop me by telling me that if I walked out the door she was gonna change the locks and I wouldn’t be allowed inside.
After hearing that she laughed saying “you didn’t think about that did you?” My head was spinning and I was so confused. She wanted to engage in an “ conversation “ which normally ends with me being the Ass hole and having to admit fault but for once I decided to stand up for myself. She barely listened to me. I know with her she is never at fault and she thinks she is perfect. But I did it, I told her about how much I feared her as a child, that her mood swings dangerously, about how she’s bossed me and my father around and would blame us for any and all mistakes.
She paused and it was said but out of her mouth. “Maybe it’s time we stopped this and you go find somewhere else to live? Apparently it’s not healthy for you to live her anymore. Sure this argument started over something foolish and stupid. But I think this was needed to be said.”
I was on my knees in tears all the things I wanted to say to her for years she said them.
So right now I am with a friend at a local mall getting advice and courage. But deep down I’m scared my future is so uncertain now.
Where do I go? What do I do?

Posted 8 years agoSo a couple of weeks ago I had an accident with my iPad. Basically I was working in the garden and my dog decides to nap on my foot.
I was so busy that I forgot she was on my foot and I got up to throw the plants I was pulling out away that I tripped over her and my iPad slipped out of my hand landing on its screen causing it to crack. My puppy "LUCY" is ok. But my iPad needed to be repaired and fixed and I went to apple to get the job done.I want to thank those that helped me to get my ipad repaired. I thank you all and am currently working on the money to repay. Please note me what I owe you.This is also an apology to the artists I currently owe money to I wasn't expecting the iPad repair so I have been thrown off schedule. Posted 9 years agoSo on Sunday my mom took me with her to the mall to do some shopping and to take me to Macy's to buy me some new clothes for my bday on Saturday the 16th.
First we went to Target to buy supplies for the house, then we went to Bed Bath & Beyond, and then we went to Macy's to find new shirts and shorts for me to wear and after that we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and enjoy some sports (soccer was on)
After all that I drove home me being the family Designated Driver, washed the new clothes we sat and watched tv and when I went to my room to relax and watch tv I found that my 3dsxl was empty when earlier it was holding my Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.
God I had a huge panic attack and got very upset. Today I spent the day retracing my steps. "Maybe its at the target" "Maybe Its at bed bath" "Maybe Macy's"( was really was hoping it was there because when I was changing into new shorts I remember that my 3dsxl fell out of my shorts pocket twice) "my last chance is Buffalo Wild Wings"
So far no luck. I am really upset and depressed about losing my game. All the friends I played with and have so much fun with, and all the weapons and armors I had made......GONE { and the new game comes out on Friday and your supposed to get some kind of bonus content for having MH4U game data.}

Posted 9 years agoSoooooooo, Today of all days the start of what could have been a great weekend turned into a verbal soul and ass raping.
My mom decides its once again time for the family chat of how much I am letting them down and reminding me that I am the family embarrassment. Telling me that I'm a loser because I am having a hard time finding good paying work, and that the fandom is the reason Im so fucked up and the way I am, that I should feel horrible for putting my family threw all this.
I so hurt I feel hollowed out. I tried explaining that the fandoms not all about sex and that if she could only see the beauty that I see in some of the talented artist here on FA that she would agree. Metropolis review (anime and classic)
Posted 10 years agoHey everyfur!!!! Happy new year!!!! YAY first journal of the new year!!!!
So many years ago I saw the anime version of metropolis. The one done by the creator of AKIRA and from the same company in Japan that made Neon Genesis Evangelion. It was quite amazing. Than, today after finishing the bojack horseman series which was pretty funny, I was browsing other show to watch and saw the Metropolis original silent picture on the screen and decided to see if they matched up in anyway.
I mean for being a German made silent picture, it was quite fascinating for a older scifi film set in the future with really really horrible acting ( by today's standards), hilarious chase scenes with sped up running that couldn't be natural no matter how much you try to convince anyone, and terrible special effects.(( again just saying by today's standards)).
if you haven't seen either stop here this is your chance to avoid spoilers!
So here's how the two films differ:
Anime:
1. The Villian Duke red has no son but rescued Rock to be part of the Mardukes his very own private police force to keep the statue quo.
2. Regards duke red as father and is soul bound to do everything his father wishes and that his father will always need him.
3. The upper class and political figures live is the Ziggarrat. A build with many secrets.
4. The heroes enter the city of metropolis visiting from Japan. Shinsaku is uncle to Kenichi and detective for the Japanese government. Kenichi is brought along to assist his uncle in search of a scientist who has been conducting experiments envolving human organs.
5. Duke red requests the mad scientist to bring back he belated daughter Tima (his only child) back to life but as the key component to completing the Ziggarrat. The mad scientist wants to complete Tima and take her away.
6. Rock thinks this robot will take his fathers love from him.
7. humans live in luxury while robot workers work to maintain and as a basic slave force.
8. Tima starts out acting like a new born learning to talk and watching the interactions of others, by the middle forms tight bounds and friendship with Kenichi, toward the build up of drama confesses to mistaking Kenichi as her father.
9. Rock makes several attempts on Tima's life.
10. Tima once on the throne of the Ziggarrat has realized the truth about herself and decided that humans need to pay the price for abusing robot kind. As a full revolt by all robots begins she declares that all the worlds weapons will be at her disposal and she plans the complete irradication of all man kind.

2. The opening scene takes place in the garden of son's. An Eden to entertain the childeren of the upper class. Fredder is playing with the girls choosen to entertain him when the doors to the garden open to a woman of humble means surrounded by a large number of kids the worker's city and she speaks saying " these are your brothers."
3. Chasing after the mysterious women after she leaves see something eye opening. Huge machines that keep the city running and every lower class worker has a part to play and as he watches a worker fail to keep up with his task and as a result witnesses a huge explosion. He hops in a car and goes to THE NEW TOWER OF BABEL.
4. The New Tower Of Babel houses the upper class and his Father Jon Freddersen. Who runs all of metropolis.
5. The main Plot revolves on the abuse of Worker's and the people that take for granted their continuing hardwork and sacrifices.
6. The strange women is revealed to be a motivator of the workers named Maria. Who believes and tells the long suffering workers that " the mediator of the head and hands must be the heart, and that one day a mediator will come forth to bring their message to the people above."
7. Jon Freddersen visit his old rival for his wife's love and finds the old man is stuck in the past wishing he and her had gotten together. In fact he is so lost to his missing love he shows Jon the robot he built to replace her and with time he will have the MACHINE MAN looking like his long lost love.
8. After finding Maria, Fredder vows to help bring the worker's strife to the surface and help them with the help of his 2 friends. But after Maria is captured and used as a template for the machine man Jon Freddersen orders the machine Maria to destroy the Real Maria's promises and lead the workers to their own down fall.
9. The mad man tricks Jon because he gave the machine orders to destroy everything that Jon created and his son.
10. The robot maria incite the worker's revolt into madness. Every worker man and woman head to the service to destroy the machine killing them. As they leave they forgot their kids. While robot Maria continues to corrupt the upper class into a sinful indulging cycle that will bring down the upper class.

So All in all Watch the 1929 metropolis first and than watch the Anime it makes so much more sense reference wise. I mean for an early concept of Science Fiction stories this is amazingly advanced and well thought by 1929 German filming.

As it says above i have the flu which is rare for me i get sick like once a year. So now that i am well i get to start panicking and planning on buying christmas gift for family and getting myself mentally ready for the hypocritical bullshit, and cheap ass presents my family is going to get me for christmas.
To be honest I've grown so used to the mental and emotional abuse that i easily brush them off but it doesn't lessen the blows and for one i am done of being hurt. I have started thinking that it might make my family lives might be better if I clock out of life.

wolfy is working out and wolfy has a halloween question?
Posted 10 years agoSo lately I found a gym called Planet Fitness. Its cool very non-judgemental atmosphere and Gym intimidation free zone. Started going there a few weeks ago and I have lost 25 lbs. Woot. Yeah I like how I am feeling better and getting healthier. The only thing is I wish I had a gym buddy to work out with and keep me company. Sadly the trainer that was keeping me motivated was fired. Don't know what he did but he was cool and really kept me going with the work out.
To all my friends on fa, muscle-furs, so furry, ink bunny, and weasyl. I want to ask all what is your favorite Halloween prank or trick or favorite haunted house experience?
Mine was when I was 15 i had a brilliant idea how to shake things up. Sure going trick or treating was fun and entertaining getting scared and eating candy.
But what I found was more fun was handing out and doing the scaring.
So the thing that started the idea was that one year I wanted go trick or treating as a Wraith, you know the hooded death cloak with he large long sleeves and the flowing cloak made it look like you glided around. But the following year I looked at it I realized something take the hood and cloak add black boots, black gloves, a silver opera mask to put on top of the felt mesh, a chair, a screaming doormat, and add a bowl and candy.
What do you get? Me as the decoration and the most fun I ever had on Halloween. Every time someone would come for candy I would give them the scare that makes Halloween fun. Of course I would go easy on the younger kids use Halloween needs to be fun and friendly.
Well later as it got darker the teens started to come around and started picking on kids and stealing candy I was getting pissed off so as I am sitting there the bullies see me and think I am a lame decoration and the owners of the house are stupid for leaving the candy sitting out on what they called a "lame decoration."
Well I couldn't let that go!
So as I sit there three of them start to head in my direction. Once they got to the side walk i flopped a bit, Scaring off the whimper of the three. They called him a chicken and stepped on to the grass. Once there i twitched and stepped on the screaming door mat at the same time. Sending the second one running back to their friends in the street. "oh god you fucking chickens!" the leader yelled out back to his friends.
Now it was done to the last one the tough guy, the leader, the boss of his group. Well as he approached and drew closer I twitched an arm ever so slightly. He was drawing closer and closer. "I'm gonna take all this candy and none of you guys can have any." he yelled to his friends. Once he put his hand into the bowl of candy I grabbed his wrist and said "what you doing touching my candy." He screamed and ran so fast to his friend and was so scared I swear I heard him crap himself. I was laughing so hard and so were he's friends that i was proud i put halloween bullies in their place.
