Posted 5 years agook boys and girls, I've been very busy the last few months after the fire cleaning what I could salvage from the fire and I have good news. because I had renters insurance I was able to put a down payment on a house so i'm now a home owner, the house is a work in progress. and thank you for those that donated. the otaku shack this year is now going to have a new projector and lights around the bookshelves so we'll have better lighting around the books and still keep the game and video section darker hope to see you at anime zap. I also have a new computer and plan on working on one or two images in a few days. i'll have pictures of the place after i'm done renovating and remodeling.

Posted 6 years agosome good news, aside from water and smoke damage to the movies they look ok. i just finished cleaning them last night.
also earlier in the week a friend from work helped me set up a go fund me page.

a bad thing happened this weekend

a bad thing happened this weekend. My apartment burned and is now unlivable. I got out unharmed and the firefighters were able to rescue my cat but the kitchen and living room were basicly destroyed. I lost my animation cels I had hanging up and my ninja turtle room and bedroom were hit with bad smoke damage. Thankfully I have renters insurance but it still hurts. As I type this I’m at the library because of the loss of my computer and most of my games/systems were in the living room along with my movie collections. This does not mean that the otaku shack is dead though. I’m going to see what I can save and most of my manga was in storage. I just don’t know what will be at anime-zap this year. But I’m still going to try my best. As of right now I’m living back home with my parents until I can find a new place and get my life back in order.
