Had emergency gall bladder surgery early yesterday morning. So I'm gonna be laid up for a couple of weeks. So I should get alot of time to work on things. Just wanted to update yall.

So I know I've been pretty quiet. We're still settling into the new apartment. Things are kinda messy. I need a bookshelf >_<
anyway, the last month has been...the worst of my life for alot of reasons. Just in the last week i lost two babies. One would have been my own flesh and blood, but it wasn't time for me to be a mommy yet.
and the other was our baby Bear cat. He broke his back jumping off the roof. Dumb little shit. was only two years old.
no one can imagine what I'm going through emotionally right now. But its hard.

I have been working on the freebies slowly but surely. We just got a new tv so I got my computer monitor back, and can begin coloring more comfortably and efficiently now. So I hope to start cranking things out. But with the holidays I don't know if or when I'll have time to work on things. It may have to wait till the new year.

Okay so, in a sudden twist of events, we’re moving into our new apartment starting this Friday :D
Super excited and all that jazz. The downside to this is I don’t know when we’ll have internet access again. And unfortunately, I can’t post journals or art from my phone.

I'm having a rainy day at home working on laundry and junk, but still recovering from a four day fight with a nasty stomach virus, so I'm trying to take it easy. My tentative goal is to get the rest of the new round of freebies done and posted today :3 so keep an eye out.

I feel like I've comfortably reacquainted myself with drawing faces, which was always my strong point.
So my next mission is to do some free YCH full body pictures, so that I can focus more on my anatomy, which is my weak point.
I don't think they'll be raffled or anything. Because my problem before was I got burnt out on drawing stuff I didn't want to draw. I'm not trying to make money doing this anymore, I'm just trying to have fun.
So when I do start the YCHs, I'll probably put a closing time on when refs can be posted for them, and then go through and pick who i'd like to draw. If you don't like that, don't enter. that's all I can say.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not going to pick the same people over and over because I know them or I love their character. I still want to work on expanding the species I'm good with and pushing my comfort zone.
I thank you all for sticking with me, and I hope I feel better this time around.

That being said, I honestly had considered offering cheap badge commissions if I can keep my drive going. Id have to have enough interest to match the cost of buying a laminator to be willing to do it though (about $20-25).
So if I offered them like this, I just want to scale the interest.
Headshot (neck up)- $5
Half bust (mid chest up, only biceps) $10
Full bust (to waist, with arms) $15

All would be drawn and full colored traditionally with prismacolor pencils.

SO, I am NOT going back to college this semester unfortunately. Things just kinda played out in the wrong way and I basically missed my chance. Will definitely be going back next semester though.
IN THE MEANTIME I want to crack down on my art. I know that I’m horrible at being timely and shit and its honestly because I like have these great ideas and I get so excited for them and then I lose interest before I get them done because I don’t have time to work on them. Then when I finally have the time I’m like eh this is old shit I want something fresh.
So my solution to this problem is I’m not going to do raffles much anymore. Probably only for YCH pics. Any other freebies I do will be like one at a time spur of the moment things. I already owe a lot of people stuff and I would rather not continue to overwhelm myself.
On that note, I’m not taking anything else until I get all my owed junk done. I’m going to work on it some today since I’m off.
I’ve also gotten addicted to making Kandi so that’s been part of the problem as well XD

Just wanted to give a little life update in case anyone cares.
So I’m signing up for the fall semester of college today, which starts in two weeks.
Only taking one class but it’s a class and a lab.
So I’m fixing to be pretty busy. Till like December XP
In this time I’m not taking on anything new or making any new commitments to anyone for art.
I know I still owe people things, and my intention during this “break” time is to get all those things wrapped up so that I can perhaps have an end of the year/Christmas blowout giveaway. I think my new years resolution is going to be to get better about being timely with my art. XP I know im horrible about it.
