here trying to get my fav artist aka my wife to draw again lost all inspiration thinking no on likes her art and shes wasting her time because of server depression
so im asking all her friends fur fam commissioners who we all love as friends and family as well to tell her what u miss and would like to see some nsfw and sfw please and what you miss about her artwork :D and loved liked laughed or share a moment with her :D

my wife lotus has improved so much since iv known her since i was like 9/10 years old haha and loved her since
but she put everything into her art peace and hates it when she thinks shes failed the commissioner (which is never true) my wife redoes everything even when not asked to 1000 times over and over again because she wants the commissioners aka fur fam <3
the love she has for art is unreal i hate seeing her give up because art is her home her talent her passion her drive
ik her anatomy and art on paper is not the best as others or on point every time but practice makes perfect and i tell her that her knowledge is unreal on the color charts and well just by eye all and everything else and i tell her every day apply the knowledge but the depression is stopping her so please help
also she need to learn that perfection is not real you can alway improve and learn more even the best artists <3

Its been a few months since my last update but I'm back, and I have my own computer now! got me a surface pro 3 i5, its a tablet laptop, pretty neat, just need to buy the pen and ill be making some more arts

I've been incredibly depressed lately, thus me not making any appearances on here in the past month+

I'm just taking it day by day, trying to be present for my family, but its been a struggle. I've lost 20 pounds in 11 days from all the stress I'm under. It's been crazy.

hacking lotus and i want to say im proud of you boo and how far you and we have come i know time are little rough but will make it we have been through so much worse and all i have to say is ill do it all over with it again with and for you and you need to kno that your my inspiration to greatness and everything and the brightest star in the sky as well as my guardian angel as well as the best mother in the universe as well u can see it in every photo or just when she shes you or even calls for you and i just want to say i would not change this or do this with anyone else but you and your my one and only my forever & after <3 cheer up my beautiful pup :3 <333333!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a mixed media sketch book and some proper lining pens, so I can put my new tombow markers to better use.

I currently have really thin sketching paper and my makers rip the paper right up. I can't use my blender without it looking like poo. So hopefully more quality traditional pieces to come.

The struggle is real, right?

You just don't wanna talk or respond to comments, notes or comment on submissions. But in the end it fucks you over because you lose relevancy. People don't get to know you and overlook your name on their journals because "who is this person anyway? Lol"

I'm super excited. Monday I'll be getting 96 tombow marker set. I'm super stoked to try them out. I want to order some proper lining pens but I just don't have the money atm. Who cares though, MARKERS!

Just when I was wanting to get back into the swing of things too.

I'm not really interested in trouble shooting. My dad offered to look at it when he comes to visit in May.

I might use purple haze's computer to draw, as he offered but we'll see..

I feel like in the past few years unless you're already settled into a clique and regularly go to cons it's impossible to open the door to friendships on here. Artists feel like anyone trying to befriend them is just trying to use them, so they don't give you the time of day. Ugh I dunno. Just slowly falling out of the fandom day by day. It's not fun without friends. No one wants to trade or commission me, barely anyone responds to my journals all almost all my shouts are generic "thanks for the watch"

I'm just over it. It's not worth my time. I'll see you around.

I'm just curious because I notice my less worked on art gets more love, and while I LOVE doing full colors, the effort seems sorta unworth it, and I want to produce art that people will actually look at xD

Been great so far. My dad got me some n64 games (he ordered them online for me, he lives 3000 miles away) so Haze and I have been playing Mortal Kombat Trilogy and eating pizza with the kiddo just hanging out. Its not much but I'm not a big social/party person so pizza, video games, and ice cream is like the best b-day ever. haha,

Since Tuesday afternoon I was sectioned at crisis stabilization unit for mental health. I'm on some meds now to help with my depression and mood swings. I'm going to take a few days to readjust here at home but maybe some art will be coming from this all. Hope to get my health back on track first though. Figured I'd let you all know what's going on.

my mental illness is unbareable, my PTSD has been so bad since I've had my daughter a year ago thanks to Post patrum depression, I've found myself in the worst position mentally lately, and can't push this off anymore. just be patient with me while I try to get back on track, appointments are set for december but going in on monday for emergency services to hopefully rush my case, in my postion I really can't be addmitted, but need help asap. sorry guys miss you all

In the past 5 days I've had the most amazing ups and the most terrible lows.

we celebrated my daughters 1st birthday. We hosted the party at our new apartment. We had about 11 people here, My dad and best friend came down from the west coast which was a real delight.... But on top of everything, I have 2 friends who are incredibly depressed, and trying to make come backs from suicide attempts.... Personally I've been just struggling to keep my head above water, my family has a lot of stress going on. My FIL just went to jail, my hubby's grandparents are getting very sick and its not looking for them... I need to take a mental health break. I need to be here for my husband and my daughter, so I need to take a step back, I might possibly totally ditch the internet for a few days altogether, just try and work on my health...

Today both my husband and my cat went in for surgery. My husbands ear lobe was ripped and they re-attached it, he's home and recovering, my cat is getting spayed, and wont be home til tomorrow and I'm worried sick about her.... Then on Thurday both my husband and I have dentist appointments so I'll be gone

like really?

ugh. do people not realize the effects of their words? I really have lost so much motivation just from one comment and I'm hating myself fo it.. I know my art isn't great but I'm sorry you feel disgusted by it. i guess.

Well first off I'd like to say that the way I've been running commissions has felt rather.... unsucessful. So I'm going back to the drawing board and re-vamping my page (again) I'm going to try and make one of those picture price charts, they seem good? ye? maybe open up via journal? (I'm not sure how well that will work though because the people who comment on my journals don't seem like they'd want to commission me xD) Anyway, suggestions are welcomed! What do you prefer?

Just wanted to make a friendly discussion journal;


Do artists who come off as rude affect you in your decision in commissioning them? Or does that not really put you off?

What are your feelings on artists with a buisness here on FA, who post a lot of personal journals(not limited to rude or off putting personal journals). Does that help you get to know them or does that seem to clutter things up and seems off putting to commissioners?

would it be better to have a balance between personal and buisness or just pick one or the other? what are your guy's thoughts!

Personally I try to strear away from personal journals, but as a watcher I like reading peoples journals! I like being able to listen and offer advice, but I also think that there are some artists out there who post too many personal journals, and it can also change my opinion on them based off the nature of their post;

FOR INSTANCE (not an actual real life example of anyone on here)
it might change my opinion on someone if they post a journal talking smack about someone, on here, or in their family.... Call out journals are almost gross to me, I feel like half the time its not even something that should be brought to our attention (scammers, and theives are really my own personal exception)

it also may change my opinion of you if you're constantly asking for donations because of poor budgetting. This isn't directed to people who are actually in need, but those who post journals every week about all their pets being sick or needing money for bills they couldn't cover.
if this is a regular thing for you I basically just assume you're using other people for their kindness

what are you guys's thoughts on any of the topics above? I'd love to hear from you

Well, I'm in the mood to draw and nobody commissioned me this week (boo, I could have used the money!) ANWAY I decided I'd just end the November 1st raffle 3 hours early!

I used RANDOM.org to generate a random number, I have a bootcamp windows on my mac laptop and have no idea how to screen shot, sorry if that seems unfair (?), I'll try to figure it out for next month though!

we've been so broke we could afford to really celebrate but we're taking the baby to the local park, for halloween in the park. So hopefully its fun! ( and not too crowded )
