I've been feeling really disenchanted / uninspired with my art lately and am wondering how to deal with it. I can't seem to motivate myself at all.
If you are someone who has experienced these feelings and overcome them, what do you recommend?

Process

My commission process goes like this:

1. I will advertise that I am open for commissions though one of the following places: FA journals, Twitter, or select Telegram groups. Slots are typically limited to 3 or less, as I work slowly and am stressed out by long queues.
2. When a slot is claimed, I will discuss the price and details of a commission with my client, and then begin working on it.
3. Once I've completed a rough sketch, I will show it to the client and ask if they'd like any alterations.
4. I will make necessary alterations, add color, and finalize all details to the best of my ability. I will then notify the client and request payment -- however, I will not show them the finished commission until payment is received in full.
5. At this point, if the client is unhappy with the finished product, I will revise it once to their specifications.

I upload most commissions to my gallery, unless asked not to. My clients are free to repost any art I have done for them wherever they feel comfortable. Credit is appreciated.

Payments

For online commissions, I accept all payments through PayPal (lowlysquid@gmail.com). My prices are non-negotiable, and are always listed in USD; clients who use a different currency must convert it to the USD equivalent before sending. I ask that payments for commissions be sent under the category of "service."

Content

I am agreeable to drawing most subject matter. For my own protection, I reserve the right to refuse any commission -- but this is unlikely. There is some content I will refrain from posting to my public gallery (if the depictions violate site rules, for example), however, I may still be willing to draw it privately. Feel free to ask if you are unsure. I will not judge or kink-shame.


Pricing

-Single Character-
Colored head or bust icon with simple or abstract background (highly detailed) - $20
Colored full-body sketch with simple or abstract background - $30
Colored refined lineart with simple background - $40
Ref sheet (1 full body pose, 1 bust, 1 face detail + name and color palette) - $50

Additional characters or ref sheet poses are $10 each. Complex backgrounds are an additional $20.

Please note that I now work exclusively in color and will no longer take commissions for black and white sketches or lineart.
