Just letting you know I'm finally settling in and I think I'm ready to start getting back to work. Wolf is taking longer naps now so I have a few hours here and there to work on commissions and such. I want to say thank you again for all the love and support, I really can't tell you how much it all means to me :)

So yes. Its now actually been 5 weeks and 1 day since our Xiǎo Láng (little Wolf) was born. So here is an update.
Wolf has been growing faster than a little demon should. Staying in the 90th percentile of growth. I give all credit to me shoving food in her mouth and her producing the sickest evilist milk to bless the earth.
We of course have been learning and teaching him Chinese on top of English. Of course he doesnt say anything but suddenly he is quiet and listens intently. Also now when we do musical scales (horribly as we both dont sing) he pays close close attention.
I am supposed to brag but I wont gush to much about these two.
Mǔ lù (Mother Deer)(HEHE GET IT DEER) is doing quite well actually. She went through 14 HOURS of labor but she baked Wolf too long so he got stuck cus Mǔ lù is so small. She went through a c-section and has now finally started to get around pretty well.
Dont worry she will be back soon, Wolf has gotten much better at letting us sleep and I think another month and we will all be on a good track.
On top of that Nico is going to come back with a vengence. We bought so far 550$ worth of art upgrades so that when she comes back she can make amazing art and commissions for all you wonderful followers.
Now leave tons of love for the my Demon Deerest.

On 3/15/17 I was induced, he was a week late and the doctor was worried he would be to big for me to safely give birth to. I went in at 6 AM and they broke my water, I started having super painful contractions, definitely the worst pain I've even been in but thank god for epidurals, even through they are a little traumatic as well. I was in labor for around 15 hours, once I was fully dilated the epidural wore off, and I could feel everything again while I was in full swing of trying to push him out. Holy hell the pain. I pushed and pushed for 3 more hours to the point I was completely out of strength but every time I had a contraction my body still pushed as hard as it could, it was involuntary at that point. But he wasn't moving, something was wrong. I ended up needing a c section, because his head was turned and stuck in my pelvis. So I ended up going through all the pain of labor AND now I have all the pain of getting cut open.
BUT, he was born healthy, 8 pounds 13 ozs. He has my red hair and blue eyes. And I've never been more in love.

Posted 8 years agoWell, since my due date is the 9th of this month, only a few days away! I'm going to go ahead and close commissions for now. I miiiight do a few more YCHs while I wait for this kid to make his appearance, just to try and scrape up some more cash. Did you a box of diapers cost about 35$ and babies go through a lot of boxes lol. I can't help but be a little paranoid about having enough money for him.
Anyways, I'm starting to wonder if I'll end up going past the due date... I hope not, I'm so ready and impatient. And I also don't want to have to be induced. We will see I guess!

I have the worst case of art block EVER! It's lasted for days and that's so weird for me. I'm still working on the few commissions I have just very very slowly lol. I'unno, I just have no motivation for some reason. What do you do when you have art block?

Life update/ asking for help
Posted 9 years agoWell, today I'm officially 34 weeks pregnant, yay! But also, scary. Very, very scary.
As most of you know, art commissions and sales are my only way to make money, and while this has been going fairly well, I'm worried about what I'm going to do once my little one arrives. I'll be to weak or to busy to work for a good while to work, and with bills to pay plus all the extra cost of bringing a new life into the world I'm more than a little stressed out. I've been trying to save up but alas, things don't always go the way you want them too and I'm just barely scrapping by to pay all of this months bills.
I paid for advertising here a while back but of course, it hasn't been put up yet and now it's pretty much to late. Way to go dragoneer.
There is only so much I can do at this point really. I'll be taking more commissions if I get them but it won't be to much longer before I just can't do them anymore.
This probably won't get much attention but I'm desperate enough to ask. If you feel like donating, it would really help me out a lot. If you can't, just spreading the word would be great too.

In the mean time, I'll continue to post YCHs that will hopefully sell quickly, and take a few commissions, I usually only take a max of 3 at a time so I don't get overwhelmed.

Refusal of Service
I. The Artist has full right to refuse service under any circumstance the artist will inform the client of denial/refusal of service before committing to working on the commission.
II. If the commission ordered is deemed by the Artist a subject matter that is not one the Artist will depict, the commission shall be denied.
III. The Artist reserves the right to refuse a commission if it does not mesh with their aesthetic or content they wish to depict.
Subject Matter
I. The artist will accept commissions of all ratings (Clean, Mature, Adult) depending on openings. In terms of fetishes/situations, please contact the artist with an inquiry.
II. The artist may or may not create fan-art of copyrighted characters.
III. The client must be aware of style fluctuations. The artist will work to keep styles consistent.
Copyright and Alterations
I. The Artist has full rights to reproduce the art as seen fit (i.e. selling of prints, portfolio, book of works). All credit for the character design, character, or features will be given to the client. Any alterations made to the final commission (removing of signature, recoloring) are prohibited, unless the artist gives written permission.
II. Should the client decide to re-post the commissioned piece/pieces elsewhere, proper credit must be given to the Artist. The Client is allowed to use commissioned pieces for non-commercial/non-profit purposes (i.e. icons, banners, role-play images).
III. All rights not otherwise expressed in these terms are reserved to the Artist.
Prices and Payment
I. Prices are subject to change. Unless otherwise noted, prices listed are base prices.
II. Additional fees for complex characters, markings, multiple characters, and/or content may be charged case-by-case.
III. Payment is completed through PayPal. Prices are in USD. Payment shall be completed before work on the piece proceeds. Should a payment plan need to be discussed, it is the responsibility of the artist and client to reach an agreement.
IV. Upon completion, the client will receive both high-resolution and lower-resolution digital image for posting, as well as any other additional variants.
Cancellations and Refunds
I. The artist has the right to cancel a commission if they feel that it cannot be completed to the best of their ability. A full or partial refund for the work will be given, depending on stage of completion and an agreement with client is met.
II. The client has the right to cancel the commission if it has not begun, or if in the preliminary sketch or thumb-nailing stage.
III. If the work is cancelled intermittently (i.e during painting stage), no refund will be given.
IV. The artist holds the right to cancel a commission if it cannot be completed, or if the Client behaves rudely or inappropriately, or is unable to keep in contact with the artist during the duration of the Commission. If the Artist contacts the Client, a response must be given within 2 business days, or the Artist will proceed with the piece.Commissions are open

Posted 9 years agoFirstly, I just want to say I'm so thankful for you guys <3 You've helped in ways I couldn't even imagine.
For those who didn't already know, I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with my first baby. He is a boy! And I've decided to name him Wolf Len. The middle name, Len, is from my father who passed away when I was very young.
He was a total surprise, but the best surprise I could ever ask for. It's almost strange how happy he makes me when he isn't even born yet. He is already the light of my life. <3
Of course, things don't always go how you want them to, and I've ended up living with my parents again, it isn't ideal at all. But good news! I've found a little shack house that rents out for 500$ a month. I'm not able to get a 'real' job at the moment because no one wants to hire a pregnant lady that will have to quit in a few months; but over the past month I've been able to make enough money with art commissions, mostly YCH type commissions to pay the deposit and first months rent! Wolf and I will be moving in soon. Now, that does mean I'll be relying on art money to keep us housed, so that is a little stressful since it isn't exactly stable but I'm doing good so far, I've been working a lot and you guys are helping me out so much by buying my art. I wish I could just hug all of you <3
