*rubs chin* they're a lot of effort still while i figure out How the Fuck Do Layout, but doing big sketch pages have been a lot of fun recently. I'd like to offer 1 of these slots as a colored sketch page similar to -this- or -this- for a flat $250 USD, if it interests anyone. Kinda an experiment if i want to offer these as full time commissions.... or maybe drop them to B/W sketch pages like i used to do.

Posted 9 months agoMainly a journal just to push the previous one into the shadows. I spent the last few days letting my mind wander where it will and I’m feeling okayish now. I can talk about him now without crying.
I’m starting back up work tomorrow so the commissions I got pretty far in to should be getting finalized and sent out by the weekend! I found some fun new brushes I’ve been playing with. When I get a moment I want to open up a few themed commission slots where I can play with different brushes for lining and colors.
… might be fae or gladiator themed. Since those are my current obsessions….

Posted 10 months agoIt's starting to get difficult to update every social media.
Commissions are closed back up. The gofundme is closed and im trying to figure out how to get refunds going. We got the worst possible news yesterday with one final test. And his primary vet confirmed it this morning. I appreciate how thorough the surgeon was, she wrangled like 4 other associates in to look at his entire file with her.
They couldn't confirm the Hernia was the actual cause, the chest fluid giving them very mixed signals. She even worried that if the hernia was old, something he could have even been born with, it could have fused to something and trying to repair it would be incredibly dangerous for him.
The price shot up out of control and the risks are extremely high he might not even survive through a surgery. I'm going to let him go this weekend. I'm going to schedule it for tomorrow or Monday, I can't drag my feet because his chest still continuously fills with fluid. I'd rather him pass comfortably before it starts suffocating him again.
Atleast tonight he's going to get the tastiest food I can get my hands on and lots of treats and cuddles.
I don't really know strong enough words to express how grateful I am to everyone. I got so many donations and people spreading the word. I was up against nearly impossible odds this entire time and didn't know it.

Admittedly very exhausted, I’ve been spending a lot of money and traveling around a lot to keep Solaire alive and get the tests needed to figure out why the fuck his chest keeps refilling with fluid. We finally got the answer, he has a Hernia. Good news, really really good news, it’s not cancer!! Problematic news is I’ve wracked up some decent debt trying to take care of him while running different tests, and I am going to struggle for the fund to get the surgery that will save his life.
Unfortunate update: I opened a Gofundme

Update! Saw the vet today and we were able to run a test to check his heart. His heart is doing fine so it’s not heart failure, thank god. And we already ruled out cancer. The vet suspects it’s the most unlikely option, which is FIP, something usually found in much younger cats apparently.
She recommended 1 more test to be sure, but I’m going to have to go back to the er vet ready to pay out the ass. He is his normal cuddly, hungry, gremlin ass self atm with the diuretics they sent home, but I will be opening up a few more commission slots probably sometime shortly after the month rolls over to meet the cost and get a definitive answer.

My baby boy kitty, Solaire and I spent the entire day in the ER because he was struggling to breathe. I still don’t have concrete answers after all that but it’s very highly likely it’s something with his heart... They got the fluid drained from his chest so he is a happy purring baby atm but idk how much time I have. I need to save aside a bunch of funds for vet visits as soon as I can find one that will see us, and any medication I’m going to need to get him.

The Holidays kicked my ass this year, lots of travel and cooking but I had a lot of fun. Going to get back to opening commissions again soon, just wrapping up a couple that got stuck in the chaos of the past monthish, now that I’m recovered!

Posted 5 years agoI uh, just finished moving again and so im very tired, so very compact journal. it was fun but TX to NJ in 3 days was ROUGH and i wasn't even driving *wheeze*. I've been more and more stressed to the point of breaking the past few months and a friend basically swooped in and snagged my ass away from my mom and her asshole husband's house. I'm going to try and remember to dump my art backlog here and catch up on posting. I'm almost caught up on my queue enough to reopen so ssssooooonnn. EXCITEMENT!!
