Short update!
Posted 6 years agoIm alive! Still a little brain fried but life is beginning to really settle back into place after that hell drive, and my queue movement will soon be back up to speed!

Posted 6 years agoLots of gaps in communication these past few months but long story short my gi doc finally found a solution for the stomach pain that was killing me and now im headed back to live in texas for a few years. Hopefully will be in a healthier mental and financial space and can start paying off the debt ive accrued out here.
Man tho cali is fucking expensive....

Posted 6 years agoDangit i forgot to post this journal a few days ago! I am scraping together rent money so commissions are open atm!!
I fell a little behind because of my stomach illness (turns out acid reflux can put you in incredible pain and vomity???? good to know its not something worse??) but I GOTTA KEEP GOING!! I'm going to try to move back to tx by the end of the month, it'll be good ill be around family for support and cheaper... well cheaper everything lol. it'll be nice to be in a more secure environment.... I've not been doing well out here alone.
just gotta get through one more month!

Posted 6 years agoheh its hard to update my journal here cause ive been in so much pain recently all i wanna do is bitch. TLDR got closer to killing myself during that last bill period than i have in a very long time, smh prided myself on being able to fight down the dark voices but my control is slipping... so now my family is on high alert (lol im not sure if im entertained or annoyed they've been calling me more than usual...), putting their head together to bring me back to texas someho- goddDAMNIT IS IT THE 6TH SAVE THE YOUR LEFTOVER FIREWORKS FOR NEXT YEAR OR SOMETHING. I'm going to go kick the shit out of my neighbor I s2fg.
...anyways yeah SO I'm ...struggling... to live by myself with my illness not getting any better so moving back to texas will be annoying af but also helpful cause I'll have my sister and mom to aid me. I cant seem to find medical care info online, thanks texas, but my sister said she gets her healthcare outside of work and its affordable so shes going to help get me going in the right direction so hopefully my lapse in medical care wont be too long. I really need to be going back to a rheumatologist regularly again and i dont see my new one here till AUGUST! WTF INSURANCE???
and another firework, if i lose another night of sleep to them I will be hurting someone, this is ridiculous. People are so damn rude.
well even if i had a shitty 4th I hope all yall had fun with the fireworks and bbq!... mmmmm.... bbq............ mmmMMMMMMMM

Posted 6 years agoI have been having.... an extra level of Hard Time lately, on top of the usual bills stress, i had a diabetes scare that led to two er visits, the second one because the meds they gave me, during the first visit, were wrecking my insides so bad i could not eat without vomiting.... it was painful.... IVs are even more painful. ugh. I like being re-hydrated, made me feel pretty good again but ffffffffff damn IVs. my first IV EVER, THE GIRL DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO TOURNIQUET- OR WHATEVER ITS CALLED FOR IV AND BLOODWORK, ANY PLACE BUT THE DAMN NORMAL SPOT ( WHICH YOU C A N T DO WITH ME) SSOOOOO SHE PUT IT IN MY HAND. I DON'T THINK I WILL EVER BE ABLE TO ACCURATELY DESCRIBE THAT FUCKING PAIN JFC gooooooods thankfully the second visit nurse was clever and was able to find a vein in my elbow with a lower placed band. painful still but infinitely less so. damnit pray i only get clever nurses forever more if i have to get more bloodwork and ivs. I mean, which I probably will, PCP put a recommendation in to a GI doc to help me with this seemingly permanent nausea i've developed, he'll mostly likely want bloodwork too... *grumpy sighs* bitch bitch bitch I hate being permanently sick...
all that while having to deal with the fact my grandmother was overtaken by her brain tumor way faster than i think we all anticipated... yay for emergency flight planning so I could make the funeral... I think im okay? now? I mean not okay okay yet, thinking about Easter without hit me in a tender spot real good... none of the holidays or birthdays will be the same now... we lost our matriarch who usually coordinates and hosted this stuff.... she deteriorated so fast...
uh... tldr: I'm sick, stressed- which is making me more sick, and just had to deal with my grandmother dying *unenthusiastic thumbs up* good times....
I'm... doing better now... stable? at least? I've been offering some impromptu colored sketch on twitter a lot to keep myself afloat while catching up on far-too-long-delayed commissions in my queue. They've been a lot of fun, a lot more fun that my sketch pages that's for sure hahaha. I like twitter lol, I enjoying being able to shit post a lot and find so. many. adorable. animal videoosssss.
Will most likely be moving to somewhere in oregon come the summer, planning to move in with
wielder. muahahahaha be afraid, be very afraid! lol. i need that cheaper rent tho fffffuck. oregon is so much cheaper than cali but seems to still hold a lot of the same safety nets for my income level... cali I love you but I will love you from afar bebe!

I had to go to Texas for a few days. *had* to.... It may have just been a family get together and photo shoot but it was good to see my grandmother before she deteriorates more..... She has an inoperable brain tumor... And its going to kill her... My aunts may be hopeful still, and its weirdly cute in a way how their over stressing also makes them overbearing control freaks but yeah...
My grandmother is dying. This is probably the first time ive cried about it woah...
Not hours after i return home last week and im bedridden from nausea. Its only gotten worse, i can't barely eat anything without vomitting parts of it up... Its not just a cold which means ugh i gotta stop putting off going to the doctor... I have to get better like.... Yesterday.
Im going to overdraft in a few days, im probably going to barely make rent but not going to make my credit card bills....
Side note- discover raised my bill to 162 fucking dollars this month and i am so enraged i would love the chance to shove something sharp into their servers and wiggle it about violently....
Ugh i gotta pay rent so lol its down to which bill is going to overdraft me, cost me extra money and tank me credit score. Decisions decisions... *awkward laughter*

Posted 6 years agoEverything just.... Crashed down after i got approved for food stamps. Like the horrible wheezing cough after holding a breath underwater too long. My health is in the shitter and I've had two days now where i have nearly cried from the fibro pain. Itll pass soon if history is anything to go by im just... Blech, havent drawn. My disability interview is in march ugh but also yay? Its finally happening. Im finally getting fucking help like an adult hssss!

Posted 6 years agoI got a place! I GOOOOT A PLAAAACEEEE! I signed the agreement with my new roommate today, he seems pretty cool, and moved most of my stuff in! I need to rest tonight and tomorrow to fight the pain and then im going to hit up Wal-Mart for a cheap desk and chair and ITS DRAWIN TIMEEEE! God. Thank you guys for the tips and financial support, I know it wasn't a long time but they helped so freaking much aaaaaaaaaaaaa *falls over*
I still gotta finish food stamps and try applying for disability but now i have a safe place for myself and my cats while i work on those! WOOOO!

Posted 6 years agoI still don't have a lead on a place to live. None of the housing help or subsidized/cheap apartments are answering their goddamned phones. I got a decent amount of money help from family but most of it went to this motel because the cheapest pet friendly place in sacramento is 56 a night...
So that sucks. Tho really I'm asking for help with food. If i have to leave the motel on thurs atleast i will have gotten some work done but im quickly running out of what little cash i have for food.

So the apt hunt failed (it kept that other people were chosen over us, Blech!), and we are out of time. Owner of the house wants us out this weekend. Don't have to worry about roomie thankfully, he can stay with his parents, even if that's not ideal for his mental state.
As for the cats and I. We will be homeless, and Idk how long for.
So no art for a while, I'm going to try to cram in as much of the last of my queue as i can tomorrow while I pack, but I also need to hunt down an affordable storage unit for my stuffs.
So uh, if anyone has some tips, I could use them... Ive been lucky enough to avoid being homeless until now but my luck dried up, it seems.

Update 01/21: called like 5 different help lines and several apts and nothing so far. Sacramento has all of ZERO PET FRIENDLY SHELTERS THESE HEARTLESS FUCKS!! no apt responded yet and the i realized WOOPS its a holiday. Got a motel till thursday so i can set up my computer tonight and keep up the hunt tomorrow. Kitties complained the ENTIRE day, poor things haaate car rides. Especially my sweet introvert, Solaire. He is currently hiding under the bed and i might not see him till it's time to leave. *wheezes* im so exhausted, water, I NEED WATER HUAAAA!
