Phone Order Humor
Posted 8 years agoI swear today felt like a full moon day because, the majority of my customers were either nutty, silly, or sweet.
Toward the end of my shift, I had a hilarious phone customer order and I thought I would share it with all of you.
After the customer verified her information and tod me a funny joke, she got to the heart of her order. Apparently, her husband said he "wanted her to do something to spice up their bedroom."
The first thing I thought was oh man this order is either going to be g-rated or x-rated. Thankfully, she decided she wanted to order a set of our Peanuts gang or Snoopy sheets for shits and giggles. Seeing as both of us were Snoopy fans, I told her about the different type of Snoopy sheets and if she wanted something really spicy then order the colorful Snoopy Flying Ace sheets. She cracked up laughing and bought my suggestion.

Disney World vacation
Posted 8 years agoMy flight arrived this afternoon and upon arrival to baggage claim, I realized I forgot my Disney tickets at home. *facepalm* I am an idiot.
Other than that, my friend Samantha and I swam at the hotel's pool and spent the remainder of the day at Disney Springs. I am relishing these warm temps and I am looking forward to tomorrow.
Tomorrow, we are attending Epcot. Then, I will be having dinner with Florida family.
Hope you all are having a great week so far. ^_^

Penguin Plunge tomorrow
Posted 8 years agoYou heard right. Tomorrow, I will be joining my coworkers and jumping into a cold lake, for the Penguin Plunge. I am chicken when it comes to cold temeratures so, I am dreading jumping into freezing cool water. However, it is for a good cause, The Special Olympics.
Wish me luck. ^_^

Birthday
Posted 8 years agoIt's been a busy and hectic 2017 on and off. One good news this month is at long last I no longer have to deal with my bitchy supervisor. Long story. I am thankful to have a better supervisor who does not try to intentionally break down her supervisees.
In other news, I turn a year older tomorrow.
I do not know if I will be able to attend Anthrocon this year because, in April, I will be attending Disney World with two of my friends.

Holiday Season Greetings
Posted 9 years agoTis the season to play Christmas elf. I love to surprise and spread joy to others; family, friends, coworkers, etc. etc. etc.
From, what I experience, working in retail, the holidays either bring forth the kindness and goodness in others or their rudeness and nastiness. There are many stories I can mention about how my company’s customers behave on the phone, but I will spare you from that. Let’s just say there have been many times when I wanted to bang my head on the desk or our catalogues out of frustration. ~_~
It’s not about the presents you receive for the holidays, it is about who you are with.
May this festive December season bring you all good company, good food and good moments and experiences.
Wish you all a wonderful Hanukkah, Rohatsu, Yule, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Boxing Day! ^_^
May every day of the New Year will be abundant in good cheer and happiness for you and your families.

2016 Holiday Wish List (Group Project)
Posted 9 years agoUgh! I have been away from the computer for such a long time due to work. I have been swamped with work. Some days I would be at work for up to 12 to 14 hour shifts 7 days a week for a period of 2 weeks. I feel so behind with everything in my life and on FA, that for a brief time today, before I go in for another long crazy shift, I can catch up.
I remember doing this last year. I am hoping I can grant some of your wishes.
RULES:
✨🎁 Step 1 🎁✨
Make a post in your journal containing your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple to really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want. If you wish for real-life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where folks could get in touch with you.
✨🎁 Step 2 🎁✨
Surf around other lists to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.
Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream for free --do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special!
My list of things:
1. First of all I want everyone to have Happy and healthy holiday seaon! Spend time with your family, friends, pets or just treat yourself! Feel free to eat some candy without guilt, smile a lot, bake some cookies, attend to a Christmas event in your city, spread joy, just have a great and peaceful time!
2. Get in shape/lose weight again. This wish is up to me, and it is something I have been working on. I've been running and going to the gym almost every weekday. If you would like to help tho, perhaps some pointers or words of encouragement?
3. Art of my fursonas Lucky Chance and Hazel.
Lucky Chance --> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18444630/
Hazel --> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19626777/ & http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19283861/
4. That 2017 will be better. Might be a pretty unobtainable wish, but I can dream.
5. A better job would be great.
6. Christmas Cards or Hugs
7. My Amazon Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/.....&sort=rank
8. Anything from http://www.thinkgeek.com/
Thank you for looking at my list and considering to share your generosity on me. ^_^ Please feel free to comment with your list, so I can add it to my journal and please note me for my address <3

Wish you all a merry Halloween!
Posted 9 years agoAbout to head out soon to Furpacolypse.
Wish you all a Merry, Creepy, Shhh, Halloween!
"Christmas and Easter
Bring wonderful treasures
But spirits and pumpkins
Bring far greater pleasures
Phantoms and ghosts
Make wonderful hosts
And every year they convene
To wish you a merry, sshhhhh, creepy Halloween.
Scarecrows and blackbirds are always together
Cauldrons are brewing and banshees are booing
The weird and ghastly groutique
To wish you a merry, sshhhhh, creepy Halloween.
This is the night of heavenly fright
Witches on broomsticks are up to their tricks
And poltergeists wail to the moon
Which looks like a silver balloon
Frankenstein monster is having a ball
Scaring the goblins right off of the wall
Bogies and prats' are our favorite bats
And children are king and queen
They wish you a merry, sshhhhh, creepy Halloween. "

Appreciation
Posted 9 years ago"A person who feels appreciated will always do more than is expected."
We have all been there.
Many of us may have experienced not receiving achknowledgments
of a job well done from either a boss or colleagues, receiving indifference
or rudeness from strangers, a family member or a friend asking you for
favors but does not make it seem worth it.
By being appreciated, it boosts our confidence, morale, and makes us
feel valued. By not feeling appreciated, we feel dejected, lose self-esteem,
etc until it is snowballing downhill to depression, etc and so forth.
Words cannot express my appreciation to every one of you.
Sometimes I forget to thank the people for being an important part of my life
and who make my life meaningful and happy.
Thank you. ^_^National Joke Day- August 11th
Posted 9 years agoAmusing antics of my coworkers: spreading the humor to all of you.
So, yesterday was supposedly supposedly national joke day. I meant, to post this yesterday. XD
Most of my shift in the morning was average until the afternoon, where 7 or so of my phone customers were either off their meds, bitchy, or loopy to the point where catalog meets forhead repeatedly. After those nutters, I was ecstatic to take my lunch break.
When, I opened the fridge to restrieve my lunch, I saw someone's car keys on top of their papersack lunch. I do not know about you, but seeing that cracked me up all the way to the cafeteria. If my coworkers are stressed during our sluggish summer season, then what antics will they pull when our busy season progresses into crazy customer service in Decemeber?
Any of you see something humorus happen?

Relay For Life 6/18/16
Posted 9 years agoOn work break during a longoing shift.
*groans* Oooo man! My body is cursing at me for the workout and hours I participated in at Relay For Life. I was there yesterday for 16 hours till 3:37am this morning. While there, I gave free chair massages for 13 hours, walked over 5 miles, and helped out my coworkers at Vermont Country Store under our tent.
Hope you all are doing well and are enjoying your weekend.

Still Alive, Oregon vacation, Relay For Life, and AC
Posted 9 years agoSorry, I have not been active in the site.
No need to worry, I am certainly not going to leave FA, even though it has its problems.
But if FA does go down, you can always reach me via FB @ Luky Chance (FB would not let me use Lucky asa first name. XD )
How is everyone? I cannot believe it is June. Spring flew by! Anyone getting excited for AC? I know I am pumped up for it and wicked excited to wearing my female ferretsona Hazel. Hazel: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19283861/
This Saturday, I am flying to Oregon to visit some friends and pay my respects to a dear departed friend, who committed suicide during when I was a Freshmen in Collage. I will be returning to VT the following Sunday.
Then, June 18th, I will be giving free chair massages at Rutland Vermont's annual Relay for Life at the Vermont Country Store's tent. Per usual, the preceeds I make from tips will be donated to Relay for Life. I also plan to walk for the cause. Last year, I was there for 13 hours. Lets see how long I will be there year. Feel free to come visit me at the tent. ^_^
Then, before you know it, AC will be around the corner. This will be one busy month for me.

Today has been good so far on this rainy day. Spent it sleeping in, completed errands in town, went for a walk, and now going to complete reorganizing and clenaing out my room. Compiling bags of items and clothes I no longer need or wear and will donate them to homeless shelters, good will, thrift stores, and consignment shops. It's not about earning money giving away my things, but to simplify my life.
I need to re-evaluate my life goals among other things.
Wish you all a great day!

Life is too short
Posted 10 years agoThere comes a time in our lives, when we walk away from all the drama and the people who create it.
Although, that being said, it is easier to say than, to do.
It's better to surround yourself with people, who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good.
From my experience, love the people who treat you right and wish well to those that don't.
It’s not always easy to see the good in people, but if you can somehow find a way to believe;
sometimes it’s all it takes to help someone, to give them strength to find the good in themselves.
When quarreling with friends, try to find their good qualities, they’re not always easy to see, to reflect the good times you two shared and remember why you two are still friends.
In order to understand someone, accept them for who they are and try to look beyond their faults.
We need to face our fears because of we stay afraid then those fears can rule our lives. Laughter might help us conquer our fears.
Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living.
Although, that being said, it is easier to say than, to do.
It's better to surround yourself with people, who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good.
From my experience, love the people who treat you right and wish well to those that don't.
It’s not always easy to see the good in people, but if you can somehow find a way to believe;
sometimes it’s all it takes to help someone, to give them strength to find the good in themselves.

Try and make every moment count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can because you may never be able to experience it again.

Happy New Years
Posted 10 years agoI cannot believe tonight is New Years Eve. The champagne and booze will flow, the ball will drop, and resolutions of everything we plan to change will be made. This is the night where we remember the past and celebrate the coming year and new beginnings with a clean slate.
The period leading up to New Year's Day is a time for setting things straight: a thorough housecleaning, paying off debts, returning borrowed objects, reflecting on one's shortcomings, mending quarrels, and donating to charities.
Some years I make resolutions and sometimes I do not. This time, I jotted down a few goals I hope to achieve during 2016:
More exercising and drinking water or tea.
Get organized.
Downsize for smaller living.
Sell or donate unwanted stuff to Good Will, Thrift Stores and charities.
Help others.
Find a better job in my field wheteher in or out of VT.
Lose more weight.
Save money.
Eat healthy.
Learn a new skill.
As the sun is setting on 2015 and we look forward to next year. Wish you all a happier, healthier, and better New Year.
Until next year. ^_^

Winter Holiday Greetings
Posted 10 years agoTis the season the play Christmas elf.

Circle of Love
Posted 10 years agoEvery time I lose a pet, a friend or a loved one, they take pieces of my heart with them, and every time new pet/friend/ or loved one gifts me with a piece of their heart. That's kinda what love is all about! Making a patchwork quilt of your heart.
