Hello everyone! I realize that until recently I've been relatively absent here since the year began. Life has been a bit more busy, tiring, and distracting than I normally prefer, but I want to get things back on track. I'm ready to move forward now that my gallery is updated, and my commissions are squared away. I don't want to open a new batch right away however, there are some personal projects I think need a bit of work first, but I would still like to doodle & draw some fun things on the side. So this seems like a good idea to open requests once again in between commissions~
For a limited time, I am taking colored sketch requests again. I want to hear your ideas, and if I think they may be fun to do, I just might draw them. :3
The way this works is simple: Leave your request in the comments below with character references, and I will choose what I want to draw if an idea sparks my interest. There are no requirements to be allowed to enter; You do not need to be a follower or a prior commissioner. You can request any ideas you want: ideas with my OCs, ideas with your OCs, both, or whatever. While you are free to request just about anything, including multiple characters or parts, I am unlikely to draw lengthy requests unless I am particularly inspired by the idea; what I am looking for are fun creative themes for practice and/or my enjoyment, and I would prefer to create multiple different drawings for more people, rather than spend too much time on any one single request.

-Please do not send me notes or PMs. If a lot of people end up participating, I will have a hard time keeping track of any ideas sent to me privately.

Hello everyone! I've completed my commission queue, but I do not plan to take any more commissions at the moment. This summer has been somewhat rough and has caused some slight artistic burnout a couple times. So for now, I'd like to focus on art for myself and just for the fun of it. So, for a limited time, I am taking colored sketch requests again. I want to hear your ideas, and if I think they may be fun to do, I just might draw them. :3

Hello everyone! It has been quite a busy Summer, and if I'm being honest, I've been feeling a bit uncertain about my place as a hobby artist on the internet as I've all but given up on Twitter. Meanwhile, small amounts of artists & commissioners continue to quietly depart FurAffinity as their tickets are answered about the content of their galleries in relation to the recent policy changes.
I'm trying to hang in there though, and I still want to create art! I've now cleared my current queue, but before I move onto more commissions, I think I would first like to do some fun relaxing request sketches again! So, for a limited time, I am taking colored sketch requests again. I want to hear your ideas, and if I think they may be fun to do, I just might draw them. :3

Hello everyone! My last batch of commissions took a while to complete, but I'm finally done. Before I move onto the next round of commission slots, I think I would rather first do a few sketches that are less stressful and hopefully improve my speed. So, for a limited time, I am taking colored sketch requests once again! I want to hear your ideas, and if I think they may be fun to do, I just might draw them.
There are no requirements for this special. You do not need to be a follower or a prior commissioner. You can request any ideas you want: ideas with my OCs, ideas with your OCs, whatever. If I do end up drawing one of your ideas, you are free to repost with credit, and to keep sending additional ideas if I am still taking requests. Although I would ask not to spam ideas off the top of your head in multiple comments, in the hopes that throwing out a great quantity will help your chances. Give a bit more consideration to your requests than that.

My *actual* thoughts on this policy update

Just in case it wasn't 100% clear to everyone, my previous journal in response to FurAffinity's policy update was entirely facetious and laid thick with sarcasm, because a ridiculous policy update deserves ridicule. Only a few days after that, FurAffinity continues to draw ire with some... Questionable clarifications to say the least. Go read it if you haven't already, I'm now skipping to the part where it concerns me, my art, and the people who like it and are wondering what I'm actually planning to do.
As far as I'm concerned with FurAffinity, I can barely interpret this nonsense, and I'm not intending on deleting my content or packing up and moving so easily. I am also not going to bother with those trouble tickets to ask admins whether my art is cub or not, I already know it isn't. If my drawing style gives off vibes they don't like, they can tell me themselves, or ban me, and then I'll have my answer of whether or not I am truly welcome on this platform anymore. I am not going to change the way I draw or what content I will draw for the people who want to commission me. However... It may affect what art I end up posting here, since we've gotten confirmation that Eevees and several other first evolution Pokémon are apparently not acceptable anymore.
I think it's important to point out that this isn't the first time FurAffinity has made controversial changes accompanied with very poorly worded clarification and responses to concerns. A lot of artists and fans were outraged, they threatened migration to other sites like Weasyl, and then they came back after nothing really changed. We could be doing the same thing all over again. It is possible that their intentions are good and the policy update really is just closing a loophole by extending the existing policy to Pokémon/Digimon, and then proceeded to completely fuck up simply explaining that to everyone... Twice.
So what comes next? Outside of FurAffinity, I am browsing a couple alternatives to set up a space on. Turns out I already have a Weasyl account I never fully set up, but I might as well. I am also interested in checking out Artconomy and setting up a page on Carrd to have something simple to point to for contact info. If I can muster up the courage, I may also create my own discord server, though membership to this would be invite only, especially while getting started. If I get set up anywhere else, I will post another journal here on FA to point them out. I am open to hearing any suggestions for alternate galleries as well.
Maybe nothing will happen, maybe very little will happen, or maybe it will ruin FurAffinity as we know it. We can't really tell right now. There is still over a month until the policy officially goes into effect, and a lot can happen in that time. It doesn't hurt to have a plan just in case.
Thank you for your support everyone. I just hope that these changes don't disrupt people from commissioning art they enjoy. My biggest worry is having to scour the internet to find artists I love all over again if I hope to get any commissions, as if it wasn't difficult enough already to find artists who draw feral Pokémon. In the meantime, I have a Telegram group where I am active, as well as Twitter, though I wouldn't count on me becoming more active there, as Twitter is an entirely different dumpster fire on its own that I use begrudgingly. Policy Changes~

Hello everyone! As I'm certain most of you may be aware already, FurAffinity has once again upset a lot of people with a poorly worded and vague policy update, in which they expressed their desire to place additional scrutiny on NSFW content surrounding a couple franchises that are likely responsible for turning many of us into furries to begin with, namely Pokémon & Digimon. As it happens, I've discovered that I may have in fact drawn a little bit of Pokémon throughout my commissions and personal projects, so I thought this might be worth paying attention to.
Now, as far as I understand, these restrictions apply only to NSFW artwork of Pokémon and Digimon with "childlike proportions" or are depicted in context as children in sexual content, etc. etc. After some backlash to the original statement, some very helpful clarification was added to place great emphasis that this only applies to to Pokémon/Digimon if they proportionally/anatomically represent a child. What exact proportions/anatomy represents children I'm sure I do not know; I was fairly certain before I wasn't drawing any to begin with. But as we have witnessed in cases of artists and styles, one person's Cute is another person's Cub. So to be safe, I am announcing a few changes to my commissions in order to fully comply with FurAffinity's updated policy as best I can:
*As we all know, the more cute a character is, the more liable it is to be called a cub. Therefore, I will catering exclusively to gritty realism. This means no more big round eyes or plump paws. They will instead be replaced with realistic human fingers and toes. Y'all are gonna be really reeling from this realistic realism.
*Emotional & facial expressions are now limited to angry scowls only. Smiles and happiness are a mark of youthful innocence, and must be phased out.
*All poses for each character must include one hand outstreched toward the viewer holding a state-issued ID or drivers license that prominently displays their date of birth.
*All characters must now be drawn anthro & bipedal, no more feral characters. Male anthros must be a minimum of 5'9 in height, while females must be a minimum of 5'4 in accordance with current CDC adult-height metrics.
*And finally, in addition to height requirements. I myself will be preparing to slowly fade out of this existance, since I do not meet the aforementioned height requirements in real life. Wait times to receive your completed commission may increase as a result.

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well. I'm happy to say for the most part this has been a very good year for me, and I feel a bit accomplished after doing some more commissions, personal art, and the requests from a few weeks ago. I'm kind of itching to get some commissions of my own, so I feel like now would be a good time for another one of these raffles to show my appreciation for your support. :3
So once again, I am hosting a raffle where I will be "giving back" to the people who have been supporting me and my art this whole time. What this means is that this raffle is only open to those who have commissioned me at least once in the past. This is not the typical raffle where I will be creating a free drawing for the winner. What's going to happen is that the winner is going to get a commission with one of my characters for free, paid for by myself, as a thank you for buying art from me in the past.
Here are the rules and how to enter:
1.) Leave a comment below if you wish to enter. Provide your idea for a commission with one of my characters. Your idea can be SFW or NSFW, but I need a general idea of what we'll be getting to make sure I can work with it. I will only disqualify ideas if they simply do not fit with my interests, but I trust my commissioners have a good idea of what I don't usually dabble with. Finally, provide a link to a commission that you have purchased from me in the past as proof. Almost all submissions will qualify, including any YCHs you bought from me, but Headshots, Requests, Gift Art, Trades, or Collaborations do not qualify. I also cannot accept any submissions about commissions I am currently working on and have not finished yet; it must be a past commission.
2.) The budget I am working with is around $120 for the piece, so we should be able to afford something nice with that. If you want to chip in a bit of your own for an even larger budget, that is totally fine too.
3.) If you have a specific artist that you really want art from, please let me know. I'm also happy to work with the winner afterwards to find an artist to commission, but we will need to make sure we're both happy with the style we're going for. I may need your assistance grabbing a slot from whatever artist we pick if it's somewhat difficult to catch them opening commissions.
4.) If you have entered in one of my previous raffles before and won, you may not enter again unless you provide proof of new art that you have commissioned from me since the last time you won.
I think that covers everything important. Once again, leave a comment below to enter and I will assign a number as long as there isn't a problem. I will be picking a winner sometime next weekend, around Friday Oct 14th or Saturday the 15th. I eagerly await to hear what ideas you all have and will leave you with a quick list of my characters for reference.

Opening Commissions Soon, and Tips?

Hello everyone~
Wanted to alert people who have been waiting that I will be opening a new batch of commissions soon. I think it will be standard five-slots, though I haven't decided yet whether it will be First-Come-First-Served style, or slots that I will choose for my own. I'm planning to open tomorrow evening, though it could be Saturday evening if I get sidetracked.
Also, somebody mentioned that I should consider opening a tip jar. Does anyone recommend some good ones? I've been thinking of using Ko-Fi since I see that a lot and it looks simple to use. uwu

Hello everyone!
I had announced this on my Telegram channel last week, but I was out on a trip and have closed my request special. The drawings I made were a lot of fun though, so I may do something like this again in the future. Thank you to everyone that entered, and I'll be opening a normal batch of commissions soon after a rest. ^^
Taking Requests! Give Me Ideas! (CLOSED)

Hello everyone! I have finished my batch of commissions, but instead of opening a new batch right away, I wanted to do something a bit special first. I'm looking to do some practice drawing fun ideas in a quicker manner. So for a limited time, I am taking free colored sketch requests! I want to hear your ideas, and if I think they may be fun to do, I just might draw them.
There are no requirements for this special. You don't need to be a follower or a prior commissioner, like in my "giving back" raffles. You can request any ideas you want: ideas with my OCs, ideas with your OCs, whatever. You can also request themes you don't normally see me draw, there's a small chance I may want to practice it. Worst case is that I just won't take the idea. If I do end up drawing one of your ideas, you are free to keep throwing more at me. Although I would ask not to spam ideas off the top of your head in multiple comments, in the hopes that throwing out a great quantity will help your chances. Give a bit more consideration to your requests than that~ :P
*EDIT* - I'll include my (very old) will & wont draw guide, just so people know what my hard NO's are in drawing, but anything outside of the no's feel free to inquire. uwu

Lastly, keep these in mind if you want to make a request:
-Please do not send me notes or PMs. If a lot of people end up participating, I will have a hard time keeping track of any ideas sent to me privately.
-If your idea contains your OCs, please include your ref in your request, obviously.
-I will not be doing edits to what I draw. If I try to draw your request, but the details are vague, I'm going to draw it to my interpretation.
And that's about all. Leave a comment with your request if you have one to make. This will be open until I feel like I've had my fill and want to move on. Thank you to everyone for your continued interest in my work. ^^
