ANE Wrap up
Posted 9 years agoHey all, I'm back from Anthro New England and it was a great time. Got to meet some fun furs, played some great games of Melee (which I'm amazed I remembered how to play), and I got to introduce a good friend to the fandom. Over all it was a great time, shame I missed out on Sunday since I got sick.
Overall it was great and despite getting sick and missing out on the Patriots game, though hearing about the loss that might have been for the good. Either way it was a great time and I can't wait till next year.

Just say "hey jackass"
Can I draw you in my sketchbook?
if you do it must involve tacos
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?

What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Just enjoy myself and not wind up in jail.

Posted 9 years agoHey all, I hope you all are having a fun Christmas.
Thank you to my new watchers & idea for a small contest
Posted 9 years agoHello everyone, LunarNight here with another short little journal to thank all my new watchers. Normally I would go to each of your personal pages to thank you all, but there's not enough time in the day for it. There for the reason for this journal, so thank you all for watching me.
Now for that contests ideas I've been having, seeing that I'm about to reach 500 watchers, has been getting me to start thinking of giving back to one of those 500 furs watching me. Now I have nothing set in stone, but once I find an artist that's regularly open I'm thinking of getting a commissioning them for an image with one of you all with one of my characters. I plan to have a small little contest that fairly simple with a winner chosen at random. You know now that I think of it this is sounding more like a raffle, so we'll just call it that. So once things are set and I have reached that 500 mark I'll be raffling off an image with with one of my characters. Sound good? let me know in the comments if this is a good idea and I'm brilliant for thinking something like this up, or let me know if this is a horrible idea and I should stop coming up with these silly ideas. I would love to hear what you all have to say.
So again thank you to you all for watching me whether you're new or been with me from the start, and with that have a wonderful day, and I'll see you all again with my Christmas/New Years journal.

TMI Tuesday: Late so Might Extend to Wednesday Eddition
Posted 10 years agoSo after spending the bulk of the day in bed with a fever, I finally feel well enough to do something with a drab day. so instead of playing silly games I might answer silly questions for a few days, so ask away. There is no stupid questions unless the really stupid ones.

Should have done this sooner (furpocalypse)
Posted 10 years agoSo yeah, while I was uploading the art I got yesterday my brain must had completely forgot to give a short day by day con review.
Thursday was your typical arrival day, pretty uneventful but the ride there with Mykul Rei and Neato; packed in the back seat of a car with little movement as well as no pit stops just to get there faster, checking into the hotel, and meeting up with some of Rei and Mykul's friends once again. Just fairly average.
The first actual day was really hit or miss for me first part that was really great though admittedly embarrassing was getting reacquainted with
coffeesheizen after not recognizing her. We met up o the pre-reg line. Though eventually I managed to catch up to her had a nice chat with her. Also meeting up with
Spartadog
yuureikun
BlondeVelvet and
Iggi in the Dealer's Den as well as Jake and Dom two of our hotel roomies. Though as great as Friday went the lines for Registration and to purchase commissions/art nearly ruined the day for, an hour to register, and far longer to for art. I think in the day I spent a total of 3-4 hours just standing around in line. Then there was a lack of good parties that night where we went to one party that was being busted when I arrived with friends.
Thankfully the con managed to fix it's line issues Saturday, so I picked up a few last minute things like an adorable Chibitarasu statuette as well as got to meet up and hit it off with
frothymess expect to see some nice things from him in the future. Then there was also meeting up with
Libra-11 There was also seeing Jake dressing up Mykul, Dom, and himself for Rocky Horror, and hang out to the bar for the full night with karaoke . Over all a great night. Sunday was just saying our good byes and. Though it's great to be home now and get a some time to relax with a short vacation from my vacation.
Overall great con, a lot of fun, looking forward to next year.

TMI Tuesday. More Q&A time with Luna
Posted 10 years agoWell it's been a few weeks since my last Q&A time and since we're in a new month, I think it's time to answer some more questions. So I'll open my flood gates to answer some more questions.
Ask me what ever you're curious about from games, movies, shows, characters, or projects and things I'm working on.

Q&A with Luna
Posted 10 years agoHey all, so a quick little journal since it seems I'll have a lot of time on my hands to sit and answer questions today, so if there was anything you ever wanted to ask me then let's hear it.
Well I'm another year older.
Posted 10 years agoThough regrettably I can't recall how old I am now. I just sorta stopped counting once I reached 21, so um... yeah go me for spending another year on this hunk of rock.
Later all.
Later all.
Good bye Mr. Iwata
Posted 10 years agoI spent a good few hours with the thought of Iwata-san no longer being with us anymore. To many he was known as the President of Nintendo and that funny looking Asian guy in those memes about the DS/Wii printing money or that guy with the bananas. Though to me, and many of gamers out there he an icon and a gaming legend, a man who pushed for innovations and a new way to play. In an era of where everyone is trying to make games more then they are, Iwata always pushed for the game to be fun and memorable, leaving gamers wanting. When I think back to the last time we saw him I believe he along with Miyamoto and Fils-Aime said that they wanted to bring "Fun" to E3. Fun; a term that was not heard in a lot of the press conferences this year and has been pushed into the back burner and here was a man using it as openly as he did.
Now I'm not the type to dwell on a person's death, but on their life so in honer of his memory I intend to take some time from my scheduled to look back at the games that he worked on and remember on the fun memories he helped craft to me. With that I wish to leave with a small quote from him. Rest in peace Iwata-san.
"On my buisness card, I am a corporate president.
In my mind, I'm a game developer.
In my heart, I'm a gamer." -Satoru Iwata

A victory for Equality
Posted 10 years agoIt has been a long time coming marriage equality, and I can still remember the arguments in the state of Massachusetts over the rights of marriage equality back in the early 2000's. I've have never been so proud to be an American then I've have been today

It's that time of the year again.
Posted 10 years agoYep, the great time of the year that is Pride month for the LGBT community. I can't believe we had to wait a whole year just for this moment. As for my plans for this month I intend to join my friend Rei and his boyfriend to watch the pride march during The Boston Pride Festival and take in an enjoyable march. Though as if by some great cosmic alignment I'm proud to announce that the supreme court will finally give out their ruling in the case of Obergefell vs Hodges (The same sex marriage ruling), and going by what I've seen and from Jon Stewart of the Daily Show "June seems like a good time for a wedding." So this is quite be the most historic and memorable Pride month to come for us in the LGBT community and I wish everyone the best. So stay safe and have fun everyone.
Also as a side note I'm proud to announce that after four years of rough unemployment I've finally managed to land myself a decent job that is what tell people, with out mentioning certain back door dealings.

It's a good time to be a 90's kid (Avenger's 2 and Ukulele)
Posted 10 years agoSo the past week has been pretty huge for me; I'm going to stick to two main topic but no promises, it's nearly 4AM for me and I'm wide awake.
So the first thing I have to talk about since it's up there in the title is Avenger's 2: Age of Ultron I'll try to stay out of spoilers as best as I can. Now a quick shout out Reimaru-kun and Mykul for inviting me to join them, you guys rock. Now if you where to go back in time and ten year old me that my favorite tv characters where going to be in a massive movie together and they would be in them twice I would have had my mind blown seeing ponies and ninja turtles together. Then correct me that it's my favorite Marvel heroes that are doing this then my hype train would have rocketed out of the station. Now I love Marvel super heroes since they're so well written and I love them just as much out of their costumes as much as in them.
Getting back on focus Avenger's 2: electric boogaloo was well worth the wait. Those of you who really enjoyed seeing the characters just interacting with each other in the first one won't be disappointed. The dialog and the delivery from each of the actors are just as great or better than the action scenes. I really loved how we got to see more on the two avengers we know little about through out cinematic universe and learn more about their past and lives. The action as high electrifying as previous Marvel movies. Watching the Tony's and Hulk's fight in the city was just as great as the final confrontation against Ultron. I also loved that though out these fights we got to see our heroes actually be heroes, taking time out of the battle to save civilians from the cross fire unlike a certain super hero in blue and red (I'm still sore at that). It was just an overall great time, though I feel a lot was cut out for the theatrical version. I just hope when the movie comes out on dvd we get access to a sort of director's cut.
With Avenger's out of the way I want to get to the one thing I've been excited for ever since it was first teased, Yooka-Laylee. Oh my god! The second I heard that that the developers behind my favorite Rare games where getting the band back together to create a true successor to collectathon games my eyes lit up like Christmas lights. Growing up through out the 90's I was a huge gamer, ever since my sister gave me her NES I can recall pushing buttons and making the screen lite up. So when I got my own console (SNES) the first few games I got where Mario world and Donkey Kong Country, and I played the hell out of them, loving the challenge and fun of the 16 bit era. Then once I took the jump to the third dimension I was glad to see Rare welcome me to Banjo-Kazooie. The two Banjo games really helped me develop my love of character driven games primarily Kazooie and her snarky, arrogant personality, and I think she's the reason why I like jerky types of characters. Again sorry for rambling, but I'm super excited to hear that brains of the former Rare are back at it with Yooka-Laylee.
Just watching Yooka and Laylee run around in the Alpha build of the game just brought back memories of the previous Banjo and oh god I wanted to toss them all my money just so that this game comes out soon. Luckily October 2016 isn't that far away, so I'll keep my trousers on till then. From what we've seen so far I feel this is the famed Banjo-Threeie that fans have been waiting for years to play, the characters look right, the movements seem perfect and the music is strikes all the right cues. Grant Kirkhope and David Wise are truly masters at making some of the best sounds in a game, I've been loving listening to two Jungle themes over and over again, even right now I'm listening to the one titled "Jungle Challenge". I'll have to make sure to get put in enough money in their Kickstart to pick up both a Wii U version of the game and the soundtrack to listen too while I'm on the go.
Well with enough fangasaming out of the way I think it's time for me to get some sleep. If people like these sort of journals let me know and I'll think of a few other topics to ramble on about.
Till next time, LunarNight.

Who's ready for a one minute melee between two popular mons?
Posted 10 years agoTook them long enough to get to this battle, but now Pokemon and Digimon fans can argue once again. Lucario vs, Renamon.
That's the results, hope you enjoyed the lack of angry sex.

Another Thank You to my new Watchers.
Posted 10 years agoSeriously where did you all come from? I was shocked to see my FA explode when I logged on earlier, it only seems like I just gave my thanks just the other day ago. XD

Thank you, page update, and plans for the future
Posted 10 years agoWell I think I put this off long enough, but I would just love to say thank you all to my new watchers for visiting my page and favorite the new images. I was pretty shocked this weekend when I jumped to over 150, way more than I would ever expect (seriously 100 was the best I'd ever thought). As for those favorites, if you liked or favorite anything you saw on my gallery I would appreciate it if you go to those talented artist and gave them a watch too and sorta spread the word on them. Bonus points to those that buy a print or commission from them.
As for those who browse my profile page, you might find it looking a little different and that I did indeed update it. I was browsing multiple pages and found mine a little bland so I decided to spruce it up and update the some info on it. Let me know if you see anything wrong or not working and I'll see what I can so as soon as I get it.
So with most of that out of the way, I've been spending a few late nights just thinking with random thoughts ranging from games, movies and books. So I wonder how people would feel if I made journals on my late night drunk rambling? If you think that it'll be a good thing let me know and I might start a blog or a journal on them.
With that, I'm out and I'll catch you again some other time.

Back from the very first Anthro New England.
Posted 10 years agoAnd I have to say, what rush. For a first year I was just shocked at all the furries. When I first heard about Anthro New England I thought it would be a nice small little con, maybe two too three-hundred, but as I left I heard that there was well over six-hundred (Seven-hundred possibly~). That was pretty mind blowing. Like Furpocalypse I roomed with Rei and his boyfriend Mykul, along with a fellow WarmaHordes player Shep, also I have to give a huge shout out too
admiralstiggy for being the best roomie I've had ever.
I had a lot of fun, plenty of drinking (thanks Mykul) as well get to see some nice panels, hit the rave/dance for a few minutes. Also my favorite thing, Street passing, didn't manage to get enough puzzle pieces for a picture but still quite a few, and I able to get a few commissions ordered. I'll be sure to upload the badges later this week as well as the larger images when they in.
With that over all ANE was a lot of fun, my only real complaints was the whole food situation since other than the in house restaurant and mini store which are both on the pricy side ($3 for a not 2l bottle of soda!? wtf) there was little to no places to get food other that wasn't 15-20 minute walk. Thankfully
junipersquirrel was kinda enough to drive us to a cheesecake factory for burgers Friday night, while we order pizza for the room the next night. Though with the food situation aside ANE was an amazing con, and I can't wait for the next one. I just hope I remember to bring snacks next year as well and be hopeful that we don't get six feet of snow several weeks before the con. If anyone wants to blame this ice themed doggy for that snow has to look somewhere else since those blizzards aren't my fault.
:update: Just as I was about to post this I just found out that ANE had over 750 attendants and had raised over $10,000 for MA Vest-A-Dog. Looks like quite a few working dogs will be some new body armor to protect them from the bad guys.

Obligatory post New Years journal update!
Posted 10 years agoI've been meaning to get this up earlier, but there have been quite a few... "distractions" that's been keeping me offline. *cough*HyruleWarriors*cough*Smash4*cough*Pokemon*cough* Sorry about that, must be getting a cold or something. So I hope the new year has been treating you well, and your resolutions have been going well.
As far as 2014 went I'm glad I don't have much complaints. I went to my first furcon, I had made some great new friends, as well as opening myself to the furry community. Though 2014 wasn't all fun and games, through out that year I loss my grandmother and lived in denial for a few months. With that loss it drove a small divide in my family and I was able to stay positive thanks to impart with my friends who remained mostly in the dark about my family situation. But as I would like to say; out with the old and in with the new.
Thus far 2015 has been treating me well, and because of it I made a semi-new years resolution which is to get a bit more active meeting other people and connecting with other furries. Hopefully with me opening up I won't be the quite introvert I was through out most of my life. So far my short term plans are simply to continuing going to
boston-area-furmeets meets mostly their Sunday brunches (Held every second Sunday:Totally a plug*winkwink*). I am also making plans with Reimaru and Mykul to join them at Anthro New England. Since I didn't learn to stay away from furries at the last one.
With that I got everything I wanted to say and I just hope you all a happy new year. I'll see you all next journal.
