Sup, so it’s been a while but long story short, I’m a commercial pilot now flying full time. It’s great and I love it.
I don’t get much time for commissions now but wanted to thank every single one of you that’s commissioned me, liked, commented and favourited my artwork. It meant the world and the money I saved from art helped fund my flying.

Long overdue update, I’m much more active on Twitter at redbaron_wolf then here with updates, commissions openings and art.

Buuuut anyway, I did my pilots license skills test on the 18th September and passed! My examiner also commented on my navigation skills being very good which was really surprising as I’ve always thought I’ve been bad with directions; so this was a huge confidence boost.

I’m now working on saving up for hour building and some intensive exams (ATPLs) within the next few years. I’m working part time at my local Aeroclub which is awesome and really helps me see how everything works.

Im hoping to be at both JFTW and CFz next year, possibly EF but I must save for winged adventures now.

I'm back home, sadly have been very poorly with glandular fever and a rare type of food poisoning which came back within a week and resulted in the department of health conducting a formal investigation! (I can never seem to get normal ailments?!), I've also had therapy to help me get through my previous abusive relationship which has helped me enormously. Anyway, I'm making a good recovery and picked up some work here teaching which is cool!
I'll be finishing my flight training this summer which I can't wait for!

In other news, I won the British woman's pilot association flight challenge with my experienced friend! This is so exciting for me, my first ever completion flight too so I'm still smiling ear to ear!

I'm also going to 3 cons this year and my first ever non UK con

Hey guys, sorry for lack of updates! It's been so long since I've been able to open commissions that I've scraped my previous wait list as it was over a year old. I'm really sorry but I felt this was necessary as I'm offering very different commission types.

Emergency commissions? What's happened?

I've finished my animation contract and now found out my car needs some substantial repairs. I'm job seeking in the mean time but need to take commissions to help pay for the parts and for me to save up again to finish my pilots license in the spring.
I've had to come home due to illness and the fact that my flight school was fully booked so coupled with the bad weather/lack of daylight, I have decided it's more financially sensible to finish flying in the spring as I'll be able to do it all in one chunk.
I have been able to pass all 9 pilots written exams which is awesome. Yay! So I'm excited about finishing my navigation and solos in the spring. Then I can finally move onto aerobatics!

Hello all, first off, thank you so much for all the lovely comments, favourites and watches, I appreciate every single one of them enormously.

Sorry I've been so quiet and still no news on commissions, my animation contract keeps getting extended. I work 50 hour weeks and all my weekend time is taken up with flying, studying for flying or socialising (since I can't socialise in the week). Until I've finished my contract and have time, commissions will remain closed.

Flying!
I have secured another scholarship which is fantastic! I'm flying and getting to the navigation part of my training which is fun! Got a lot more exams coming up though so studying for them now. After my contract, I'll spend two months back home working solidly to get my pilots license finished! Then another animation job will hopefully be in the works, if not, then commissions and fursuit commissions will open.

Art
I'm trying to submit more work, I don't have much time to work on big things so I do a lot of sketching on my iPad Pro during my breaks at work to keep in practise. I post more stuff on my twitter and am very active on there: head to redbaron_wolf

Car
As you can probably tell from the copious photos etc, I am loving my old but new car! Learning a lot about it and hopefully doing some work and tuning on her soon! On a camping road trip with my bro, it was pretty satisfying that I could keep pace with his supercharged 5 series! (He is the better driver and I lost the drag race due to shifting to early haha)! But she'll fly once she's supercharged. Much saving though! Hehe! I'll try and reduce my car posts as I know it's not everyone's thing, I just love it and love learning stuff.
I'm also admining a motorfurs chat and hoping to organise a uk event soon for us furry petrol Heads! Stay tuned!

Therapy
Some of my closer friends will know that I've been having therapy sessions these last few months. I can whole hearted say that it's made an enormous difference to my life and I'm the happiest and strongest I've ever been. My self esteem has never been higher and I feel able to cope with many more things. It's been a tricky few months for personal reasons but my proudest fact is that I haven't had any anxiety through all of this! For me, that's a massive win! :)
I'm happy to recommend my therapist (who does Skype/facetime sessions) so pm or tweet at me for more info. It's so worth it 100%

Sorry for the lack of activity, life has been crazily busy but fantastic!

For now, commissions are closed as I simply do not have the time to do them between work, gym and flight training. Im hoping to open May next year at a push but I really want to get on with some personal work. I've FINALLY started my comic about Baron which is super exciting for me as I've wanted to do it for so long!
I still go to the Bristolfur meets which is great fun and nice to catch up with friends so do say hi if you come along to one.

SO, life is very busy! I work long hours animating but loving the job! I actually got a pay rise last week which feels so great and has certainly boosted my confidence! (I often doubt my own animation).
Ive been going to the gym a lot too and really starting to feel the results, Im stronger and fitter than I think I've ever been which feels great and my immunity to everything has gone up too!

As for flying, I finished my scholarship but am still flying every other week. Its a dream come true, it really is! I got to go up in an old Chipmunk a couple of weeks ago and do some aerobatic training in it which was incredible! Man its a gorgeous plane to fly with such vintage instruments! So yes, flying is going great, looking for more scholarships and debating whether to try my luck and see if I could get into the RAF as a pilot so might give that a go when my contract ends. Who knows what I'll be doing next?! How exciting!

Update Time!

Im so so sorry for being slow to reply to notes etc, Im reeeeeally busy with work and my current queue. I love my job but I work very long hours which means I dont get much time for commissions other than the weekend, I havent been able to do personal work in ages besides a couple of sketches while Im waiting on set up/director at work.

As for my life in general, things are great, Im absolutely loving my work, I spend all week animating which is fab! Ive made loads of new friends too! Im really trying to get a bit more toned too and since the gym is next door to my work, Im right on track (not to mention the huuuge improvement on my mental health from doing more exercise). Im excited to be flying at the end of this month too for a whole week! Whoop! Hoping to get my pilots license by next summer, then I can move onto AEROBATICS! Nothing can stop me, I'm going to achieve this dream, its happening :D
Ive been catching up with the Bristol fur crew which has been lovely and cool to get to wear Baron's new body suit!

Im also going to the Red Bull Air race next weekend which is SUPER EXCITING because my hero Mélanie Astles is racing! She's the first ever female air race pilot to qualify for the red bull air race. Moreover, she's worked hard to get to where she is now, all of it off her own back which is so inspiring! It means that anyone can be an air race pilot if you want it enough no matter where you are from or what your gender is! Please gimme a shout if you're going :D

Big update time!

Ok so it's been a crazy busy few months and will be pretty mad until after July for me! But good news! I have a full time job as an assistant animator on the upcoming Chuck Steel film which is awesome! I did a last minute 3 weeks cover for them and they've offered me contact until it's finished so yay!

Also, omg! Those who are close friends will know I applied for a flying scholarship with the Air League. I had an interview in London which I didn't think went well but i got the scholarship! So will be spending a week in Buckinghamshire flying! Yaaaay so exciting. So many good things happening.

With commissioners, I'm awfully sorry to keep you all waiting! It's still hectic, I'm sorting out tax, cars, packing and more at the moment. I'm only taking telegram stickers for now while working through my queue but I can still pop people on the wait list.

Hello all! Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been really busy job searching, sorting things, fursuit making etc. Without going into too much detail, my personal life has been a bit up and down of recent so yah.
I'll be away next week due to an interview for a flying scholarship too so wish me luck!
I hope to pick up again on commissions within a couple of weeks, sorry for the delay. I'm closed for a bit until I've cleared this queue but I can still answer notes and put you in my waiting list which secures you a place when I next open.

Aviation ref collaborations

We have 5 slots available, note me if you'd like to claim one. But please read this first: we are charging £50 per ref, please make sure you have your payment ready. We will then need your character reference and the following info: aircraft type, colours of choice (or a brief I can design from), character info such as name, rank, flight hours, squadron etc, time period (as this effects flight suit designs), markings on plane such as numbers etc and any squadron badges you like (please provide a high res image of it).

Animator life update

So as most of you know, I'm in Manchester for a bit working at Factory animating. So far I'm absolutely loving it! The puppets are pretty big but I'm getting used to them! I was doing some test animation of a huge WEREWOLF today which was absolutely awesome! I've also been doing a number of shots on one of the productions which is great! It's the first thing I've animated that will be used on the BBC so I'm pretty happy my work is going to be used! Everyone at the studio is absolutely lovely too and I've made some great friends already! I'll see how the next few weeks go!

I am also going to be at JFTW in Bristol AND collected money for Help 4 Heros, a fantastic charity that gives aid and rehabilitation to our British service men and women. Update at long last!

Batch Commissions now open

Basically, Im exceptionally busy animating, fursuit making etc so its easier to do it in batches therefore I don't get overwhelmed. Aviation Collab

In other news,  dellic and I are thinking of collaborating and making aviation themed ref sheets for the pilot furs out there! They'll include a turnaround of your plane with a speciality colour scheme, a photo of the pilot and information (such as squadron, name, age etc). Shoot me a note if you're interested!

My crazy life animating and more

Im going to my first official convention! So see me at Just Fur the Weekend in Bristol wearing Red Baron! Exciting stuff, I hope to go to CF but all depends on if Im animating then etc.

Im moving to Manchester soon to work on a stop motion animated children's series called Scream Street. Im super excited as the main character is a werewolf so hoping I can get stuck into animation again. Im also staying with one of my best friends who's studying there so it couldn't be better. My boyfriend is down in Wales working on the new Chuck Steel film so looking forward to seeing him and will try and get a look at that studio too!

In other news, I've applied for a scholarship to get my pilots licence with the Air League so fingers crossed! If not, Im off to France this summer to do it as IM GOING TO DO IT NO MATTER WHAT! Next comes aerobatic training so its all exciting at the moment! You never know whats around the corner or who you might meet so Im staying positive and determined to make this dream a reality.

The fursuit partial Ill be auctioning later is coming on, Im having a fight with the eyes atm as no glue is drying in this cold, humid atmosphere! But Ill post pictures etc well before the auction.

Update at long last!
I've graduated the Aardman Academy and now have a certificate in character animation along with my degree so yaaay! We also have a work placement so hoping I get to work with Wes Anderson (fantastic Mr fox)!

I also got to meet Nick Park and Peter Lord who are my childhood Heros at an Aardman party which was totally amazing! They are such humble, kind people and have a great sense of humour!

In addition to all this... I have also come away from this course with a special someone I met there and we just work so well together! Argh I'm so happy!


Anyway, I'm flying back home tomorrow and I'll get on with commissions the coming week so if you're waiting, I'll be messaging you soon! I still have a few slots open so there is still time to grab a few things before Xmas. I'll also start on the wolfdog fursuit for auction.

Hi all! Please read!
I've closed commissions for now as I'm so busy animating, I'm struggling to find time to get my current commissions done. I literally only have Sunday afternoon and evening to work on them as I'm working near 12 hour days haha. I need to not fry my brain and get rest so I can succeed in my course.
So I'll get through my currently queue before re opening. Current commissioners, rest assure I will get yours done in the next 3 to 5 weeks. I tend to work on one thing solidly then move on to the next. After they are done, I'll move over to art trades, then collabs. I should be re opening in December time/late November.
I'll be offering traditional badges and some YCH icons so watch this space.

Q: Who made your Red Baron partial?
A: I did, I used parts from Dreamvisioncreations and a whole lot of man hours!

Q: do you take fursuit head commissions?
A: No, I am not yet confident enough in this medium plus it takes soooo much time to do, I'd barely make any profit. I will be making more in the future to auction off however so watch this space.

Q: What currency do you use in your prices?
A: British Pounds £. Please make sure you know how much something will cost by converting it. I always price in GPB.

Q: why are animations expensive?
A: animation takes a long time to get right. In industry, I work at about 12 to 25 frames a second. Each one has to be sketched, lined, coloured and shadowed individually. It takes time hence the cost. Simple ones are cheaper to do.

Q: are you a pilot?
A: I'm a civilian pilot in training. I fly for fun! I'm doing a course hopefully next summer to get me my licence. I did a lot of flying before in Air Cadets on RAF tutor aircraft where I got the flying bug.

Mini update! Please read all!
I'll be flying to Bristol in a few days to start a 3 month intensive animation course at Aardman. I'll be pulling 9+ hour days with 2 hours commuting each day so I won't have much time to work on commissions.
I've closed most slots now apart from some simple animated icons. I'll be doing some more complex YCH icons in the next few weeks. I'll only be able to work on commissions on the weekends though so don't want to spread myself too thin. If I get stuff done, I'll open up more slots. Thank you for everyone's support!

Hi all! So the debut of my Red Baron fursuit at the Battle of Briton air display went really well! I'll post more pictures when I can but it was super awesome at the air display! It was about 25C and super sunny so after an hour and a half (which was way too long!) I got heatstroke but I'm fine now and it was soooo worth it!
In other news, I've nearly saved up enough to do my pilots licence next year in France so super stoked for that! I'll also very likely be at Confuzzled his year! Also, I'll be attending some Bristol and London meets this winter so please say hi if you see Baron there.

Sorry for the lack of submissions, it's been crazy busy for me these past few weeks! I was working on our Islands Battle of Flowers festival (seriously look it up, it's the 3rd biggest carnival in Europe). As well as that I've been flat out working on Red Baron's partial, character designing for an animation, sorting out my accommodation in the UK, flights, trains urghhh and trying to get some fun time at home kayaking and snorkelling.

So yeah, been a bit stressed and anxiety keeps creeping back but I will not let it catch up with me.

Really excited to start my animation course at Aardman, we get to use puppets from the Pirates film which I can't wait to get my paws on! Hopefully it'll get me a job soon after so I can finally save up the remainder of my flying fund! Then France I go to fly! The future is exciting, staying positive!
