School scare
Posted 7 years ago My school was on lockdown after a student mistook a news flash from a threatened school in Maryland as ours (Northeast High School compared to Northeast Metro Tech, we are the latter). Two hours of crouching behind a desk. Does "wonders" to your joints.
V-22's flying over my house.
Posted 8 years agoUnfortunately I didn't get a photo, or this would be in the submissions, but just after I got home from school and my mom had just parked, a group of 3 V-22's flew over my neighborhood as they were heading to Hanscom AFB, in Bedford, MA. It was a beautiful and mighty sight. They're very loud mind you. And the ground actually shook as they went overhead.
Sometime in August, a C-17 Globemaster also circled over my neighborhood to Hanscom with its rear ramp down. It was only about 1,500ft. (457.2m.) off the ground. Also very loud.

He's gone.
Posted 8 years ago Last night, at 6:40 PM E.S.T., Anubis, purring and with blood from his self-bitten tongue slipped away quietly in a white and green tiled veterinary treatment room, and is now at peace. I will always continue to love him.
He was 13 years and 20 days of age. He was my brother. He was a family member whom everyone I know who has met him, enjoyed in company or as another family member. I can't get over him slipping away, looking at me straight in the eyes, at peace. It just hurts, but I am relieved he was peaceful and with family, and not in pain, dehydrated, and unable to eat when I was at school.

It's now a matter of when.
Posted 8 years ago This afternoon has been utter sh*t. Anubis, the cat mentioned in the last update, is in a way too advanced stage of S.C.C. to be treated to any possible effect. We have decided to put him to sleep this coming Sunday.
This cat, since I was 5, has been my light at the end of the tunnel after each day of generally frustrating school. He's nurtured and stood by me in any and all previous hardships in my childhood. Unfortunately, his time has come, and to S.C.C., a very vicious and nasty disease Domestic Short-hairs not uncommonly suffer.
While I am atheist, I do pray for him, mere petty words can not reflect to how amazing this cat has been in my life.
While initially we thought it was early enough for it to be treated, the tumor gave us realization it was too late, and otherwise, at best, he would have two months, most likely one. Now, he has only 5 days with us.

Posted 8 years ago Concerning my cat.
We got the call... damn it. It's oral cancer. It's not in an advanced stage, but it's vicious and likelihood of survival after 10 months is low across the board.
Our cat is alright for now. But damn it. His birthday only 4 days ago. He just turned thirteen.
He's going to be fine for the next month, but I do not want to see him succumb to this. Or have to be put to sleep either. This is just going to be one of the most difficult months in my 17 years of life, 9 years actually knowing what death means and how devastating it is.

Another frustrating day.
Posted 8 years ago My male cat, Anubis, recently had a growth under his tongue. We don't know if it's benign or malignant, we just got it removed today, but if it does turn out to be cancerous or some sort of other issue, well, let's hope it doesn't come to that. He only just got back from the vet.
I wish nothing but the best for him and hope it's nothing dire.
I'm balling my eye's out over him. He's as social as ever, albeit a bit groggy. He's an amazing little brother.
His (and his sister's) Birthday is this Friday as well... he probably doesn't think much of it. But at 13, this little guy is special.

THIS DAY IS NOW THE NEXT LEVEL OF INFURIATING.
Posted 8 years agoTom Petty, at age 66, has suffered full Cardiac arrest and has less than several hours ago, been taken off life support. Rumors, eerily becoming more believable, go to say that he in the past hour has died. I do not want to believe this, but there is a gradually dying hope that he is alive or going to pull through.
Just damnit. Gosh freakin' damnit.
Just damnit. Gosh freakin' damnit.
Last night's dream
Posted 8 years agoHad a very weird dream last night. Very detailed, but nonetheless strange.
At one point in it, I met Rysis at some coffee shop in the U.K....

Quick Updates.
Posted 8 years agoSadly I couldn't post anything for the W.W.II Photography for the past month due to wrapping up Dual Enrollment classes for this Spring.
However there will be a break of free time in June to continue to do so.
Also concerning history, I wrote a letter to Brigadier General Albin Irzyk (Ret) back in February, and he wrote back, and I received it today!

Posted 8 years agoWith discovering a "Bundesarchiv" thread on the "Histomil" (History, Military) website, I've encountered several very intriguing photos.
Hint on the first one, which I'll try to post next weekend. Sdkfz 251, caravan, rail road crossing.
