Well then, finally got my hands on a pc, I really just wanted to get my hands on a pc I could work my digital art with.
So I went ahead and got used pc that had been fully fixed/updated by this new company that deals with selling used computers they fix.

Feels so good to be back doodling digitally. ^^

Hey everybody. Couple days ago my computer screen suddenly went black out of nowhere. After doing everything I can, monitor isnt even getting signal from it. Hey peeps,

I got account in discord for awhile now and I've never really used it for more than lurking around in some servers. But recently I used it with client to chat about the commish for them and I realised how much easier it is to use for sharing drafts/wips and such rather than using notes and email.

So I'm thinking to utilize it even more goin forward. If anybody got some ideas or tips for it, please let me know. ^^
Also would it be good idea to share my username in discord in public or not?

I made huge mistake about year ago with Megaupload, that out of my own stupidity tbh.
Any other similar cloud services I could use to share stuff with ya people? As in keeping up on specific folders of sketches/wips/commish and stuff for people to have specific access?

I've been using Dropbox for sharing drafts/sketch/wips and finished work with my clients so far, and I havent yet looked more into it yet, but its on my check list.

Still cant believe this...

I woke up today to a call from my old boss. He said they found the missing parts and if I could go and get them right away. It was amazing that I got them for free.
And no store sold them in Finland. Without their help, I woulda had to order the parts from china.

I simply couldn't thank all of them enough. ^^
Now with my proper working pc I can start working on commissions again without being scared to lose the files/progress.

If everything went okay, I'd have my desktop PC fixed right now. But of course something had to get in the way.
Apparently processor cooling thing I bought was a much newer version(of the same damn product) and had different kind of attachement socket or whatever it is called that helps to attach cooler to motherboard.

Fortunatly I have help from my old workplace.Old boss wants to help me out and they are right now trying to find the correct pieces.

All of this wouldnt be such a problem anyway,it would just take longer to get my pc back in working order.
But I'm really living hand to mouth and so can't afford even small extra expenses. And to add to it,my laptop is acting up again.

This time freezing up and shortly shutting down. There's a warning of "AMD driver has stopped working and restarted" or something like that.

Drivers are up to date and I found a "workaround" with this from help center,but I'm really sure old gal is just showing it's age by now.
In worst case scenario I have to try and find really cheap laptop so I can do the basic things like pay the bills,find work,check subsidies etc.

Whew,good thing they got my laptop working again.
Shop said there wasnt anything really broken. I dont understand all they said,but apparently startup button wouldnt start motherboard right or something like that.

And it's been little over a week now when this happened. I didn't want to make this journal right away because I was afraid it would just not work again in couple days after the good news.

Anyway,just have to wish this old gal can keep running until my desktop pc is fixed.

Other stuff, It's been really hot again this summer and I feel like melting away at times. >.<
I'm always been more of Fall/Winter person myself.

Uugh...just when things started to look better, now even my damn laptop decided to not work.
I'm writing this on library computer, wich doesent leave much of privacy....but it's better than nothing.

Biggest problems I was afraid to face was how I'm going to pay my bills and keep up with work.
But thankfully I can use these computers until I get mine fixed/new one.

I'm just.....so tired over all the bullshit that's been going with my life. I almost broke last thursday when my laptop stopped working.
These 4 days have been though and eye opening, I never realised how much my life revols around the internet and how much I need it.
Even worse was the silence in my home.

I dont have tv or radio so not much of entertainment or background noice. It's been....though, to spend days. I've got time go by with taking long walks
and drawing on paper.(havent done that in loong time since going full digital)

I can get time on computer for hour a day, so sorry for slow replies to anything. ^^;

Right now my laptop is in store that checks if it can be fixed and then estimate how much it would cost.
From what I've gathered fixing my dekstop pc would cost around 150e(including cooling part and installation)

So my computer has been steadily getting worse and worse in these past months. And now it works for few minutes and then shuts itself down...

Good news is that my little brothers friend checked the pc out and apparently all there is that liquid cooling system has broken down.
Well atleast I dont need to try and save up for a new computer. ^^

I'm right now using my about 10 years old laptop,wich I'm suprised that still works....well,really slow and clunky but better than nothing at all. ^^;

Just bought a new wacom pro pen for 90 euros.(including shipping) Should be here within this week.
Smarts quite bit on my monthly budget, but it's worth it in long run.

I did try few tricks to get the pen nib out but unfortunatly none worked for me.

Hey peeps, I'm alive and well. I've been inactive mostly because of school keeping me busy.

Ofc whenever there is time and I'm motivated and not tired I still draw.
Computer is still holding up,so thats great....still makes me nervous when will the bastard finally give up. :/

And now for the big oops.
I got the damn wacom pens nib stuck inside the pen! DX

As I was changin the nib, the tip of it just broke off... and I cant get hold on the rest of it cause its inside the pen.
Uugh, so it's either finding some trick to fix this or buying a new pen...and I can't buy a new one so easy.

Damn things are expensive and I have to find one that is also compatible with cintiq 13HD. >.<;
There is one that is compatible with cintiq pro 13, but I'm not sure if it will work with 13HD.

About a month's worth of work....just gone.Because I didnt understand how mega.zn clouddrive work....or any of them.

*update: managed to somehow save files by removing mega.nz program from computer and using recover tool.
whew....you can bet your damn ass I saved everything right away to external harddrive*

With my pc wheezing its last breaths, I'm currently saving my artwork files after every drawing session also to external harddrive.

But just in case I also want to mass upload to some website where I could drag the files to new computer if harddrive fails for some reason.
I've currently been using dropbox site to quickly share artwork files but haven't yet checked on how it could work for much larger amount/size of files.

So if anybody have any advices/suggestions in matter please let me know. ^^

In another note,I've been looking for a bare minimun laptops that could handle my artwork.Sure I dont excatly require some heavy duty hardware 'cause its not like I'm rendering some amazing work. ^^;
But there still is some reqruitments I need to check because of the resolution size I work with. Wich is 2480x3507 and thats the size I send to commish clients and then lower it for general websites.

Originally I wanted to first finish all the CS commissions in backlog and then start a fundraise for new PC 'cause my current one is coughing up blood. >.<

Good news is my that pc still rolls around but with small hiccups. >.<'

The kiiinda bad news is that I'm moving 3 slots in queqe to ahead of others.
These ones are the pics with 1 character and I'm doing it simply because they are easier to get done.

Welp, that was quite a scare...my computer suddenly crashed while I was drawing and didn't open up for awhile.

I think I almost had panic attack over possibly losing all the artwork files. ^^;
After couple hours pc finally started up again and I backed everything up for my external hard drive(haven't done that in like a year or so).

So the damn thing has actually been "one foot in the grave" for almost couple months now,wich also hasn't helped with the stress over getting commissions finished.
Ofc I've done anything I could,but at this point I feel like "fuck it" and start saving up for new pc.

I'd like to do some YCH's, but that would be really off putting to peeps already in my backlog.
If anybody has any ideas/advices how to handle this mess please do let me know.

Streaming hasnt worked out yet. Little bit lag on teh service doesent matter but I noticed that there was little bit random delay on my screen when drawing lines etc. Gonna check what's that about,maybe gotta update some drivers.

Right off the start...I have to apology for taking my sweet time for commissions I owe to everybody.

Simply its been rather difficult,almost 3 months by now. Sure the heat is at its worst now and honestly wasnt this bad at some points.

But what kept me more occupied was simply working for almost free to company that I get the minimun paid and at it learn to 3D model for games.
Thankfully I dont have to learn to code, cause that went shiet rather fast back in the day I tried to school in datanome.

To add moar "fun" to the mess I already am, my mother unfortunatly has some serious problems going on with her legs. So I've been on and off to take care of my younger step siblings whenever needed.
This had already started at the january, it's goddamn time finnish doctors finally start to take action.....

So these have kept me rather tired and left me often without any strenght/will to draw, while also wanting and trying to uphold for my patreons....

Fortunatly things seem to go towards more positive chance at this time,

Me and sun simply wont get along....at all, I can handle it when around 20+ celsius but moment we go 30-40+ celsius is my limit.

And some people find it strange why us finnish peeps like to go sauna with its 80-100+ celsius. And cant stand hot weather.
Difference is that you are not wearing clothes and its easy to cool off in shower or right off to lake from sauna. ^^

Also as artist this damn weather wont help at all.Damn sweaty hands.....thank god I went full digital but it's still annoying. -.-;

Well, lucky me my contract in this small firm continues for another 3 months involving making 3D models,animating and texturing them to use in Godot game engine.

I have to admit that last 3 months working and learning necessary things have been both really interesting and unfortunatly frustrating at sametime. ^^;
Gotta hand it to people that can make scripts for games, I just kept steaming over why I couldnt make a damn character turn without going full derp mode. XD

I honestly dont know much about discord but it looks like everyone is doing it, I wonder why?
To get faster message from fan to artist? I honestly dont know.

So about streaming, oh god its almost been a year.......anyway, streaming has been on my sight ever since. I definitly got the equipment(maybe rusty but still kicking) And I'd really want to try it......sure, I'm one of thouse shy artists that would rather hide in a corner with their sketchbook and only show something when its done.

I definitly want to start using picarto, and get used to people seeing my workflow and just hang out during the stream.....
I may be a nervous wreck but atleast it might help me to keep going....and not chain myself too much over nothing. ^^;
