A Few Updates
Posted 7 years agoI plan on posting pictures of some bracelets I made that are for sale sometime soon. I also plan on working on more things that I will be doing. I do not know pricing yet so I will figure it out. I know I will have to reinvest into making things including leather working. So far most of my stuff is just chainmail, but once I get my hands on thicker leather I will be working on leather products as well. I might end up selling knives and similar things though, as I will be getting a mini-forge which should be good enough for tempering and working the steel but not with forge welding. Just enough to finish up most projects.
I am also working on scaling down my game. I noticed I over complicated it and made it way too big, so now I am shrinking it. This means it will have more releases when I start releasing and some things will over lap, but it also means that the more books the more of a world you can sort of put together. I might even work on making out a map for the world and the continents attached to them. It is still a table top role playing game but I want to give more of a premade world and set ups so that it will be easy for players to enjoy. I might take on people working with me on it all but it is going to take a lot of trusting for that, as I have seen how that goes with other projects and I don't want to lose something I have been making for years.
I am also working on the micro rpg for a friend and his daughter, something simpler and I am working out the kinks on how I want to balance things. This one is going to be a bit harder to do but I might have to look at other systems and begin to dissect them to see how some people handle some of the problems I am seeing in stuff. I am thinking about adding a bunch of commission based work after I get more resources to help add in things I can do but I might end up keeping it as only a certain number of slots. Might do it on a point system so that I don't have a lot of large projects at once that makes a bunch of people waiting forever for them. All in due time though!

All the projects, none of the time...
Posted 8 years agoSo, I have gotten further into jewelry and chainmail making... but need to take pictures to put up online. But I am also working on leather products as well as foam weapons and shields for Dagohir/larping.
As for my game, I have simplified the system so that people can play it easier, but this means between that and a few more tweaks I am reconstructing the rule book. The cards previously made might be remodeled with some help from some of the people I know such as my wife.
I have a second game I am working out the mechanics for which is supposed to be for kids, this way people can get their kids involved. I have a lovely artist that will be trying to help me out with this project as well as my wife trying to help me with things on that one too. This is because of a request from a coworker cause his young daughter wanted to play a table top game with her father where she can be a princess.

Game Updates!
Posted 11 years agoMy table top game has had a few updates here and there, currently I am going to share a little peak at what it is looking like. A few of the things are still going to be held for the development team though.

All stats in the character sheet are reflecting a normal human with no backgrounds so far. I am still tweaking certain parts and it might change a fair amount of the mechanics for classes and that, but for now this is what I have. I am also tweaking the stamina costs and finally adding them in for weapons soon, this will make it a little more balanced and limit the number of attacks in combat a person can have.

The furry races are still being tweaked as most of the stuff will actually be based off of the abilities given to them, the main races I will be giving their racial abilities about the same time I come out with some of the anthro races. Golems will be added into the information as soon as I can figure out what all I am using for modifiers for them, and demons and angels will be following with vampires, therianthropes and other templates which increase leveling requirements and more!

My Table Top Role Playing Game
Posted 12 years agoI will probably update this regularly but this is the first posting on this.
Currently I am working on the creation of cards for my abilities in my game, just simple cards for it, and typing up the abilities. I plan on have a majority of the data typed up in the next couple of months as well as tweaked with. Hopefully it will all be easily tweaked with!
Beyond that, testing is still commencing, slowly, and the character sheet has been updated. I moved data to google docs so that I can better track player's sheets.
I will add more as I think of it.

Current State of Projects!
Posted 12 years ago1.) Chainmail is slow cause I have to find a way to set up a rig for holding the mandrels in place while I wrap the wire or something. If you have any tips on how I can hold the mandrels still that might be cheap I would be very appreciative. Maybe on how to cut some notches in the bigger ones which have no notches as well. Any tips for this stuff will be very appreciated.
2.) My table top role playing game is coming along, testing has slowed down, however due to th most of the group getting busy with League of Legends, no me gusta face on that. I am, however, still looking for people to test my game in solo campaigns or group campaigns. Adult or pg13. The group campaign I have right now is on pause until things settle with some of them it seems but my hopes is that it will be soon. Furry races will ALSO be revised sometime soon so that they are a bit less... hindered in some departments and to have major genus be the main descriptors. I will also be making it so where not every anthro race has 15 (slightly below average as average is 20 and above average is 25) in their Magic stat. I am also going to be working on backgrounds and fleshing out the abilities along with project number 3.
3.) I am planning on making some neat little cards for abilities in my game, if the idea goes well I might do the same for races. You heard me, cards for playing my game! Would mean a group of cards could be used by an entire group with just a small booklet of rules, also means expansions would be way easier as you just buy the chunk of cards you want, or use those chunks, I will figure it out over time. Right now it is free to play cause of it being in alpha and beta.
4.) I am working with a group over on steam with keeping them organized, being the strong arm and even helping with ideas here and there if need be for a Source Code game. It is called Team Source Hearts. The over all goal of the game they are trying to make is to combine the stories and the main story though up by a Steam user into an series of games. Currently we are working on a demo and looking for programmers, recruiters, and much much more. The demo is still being conceptualized and I am one of the people in charge, mostly to help out. Again, this is in the concept stage so far and we need support, people who can help, and people who can spread the message. Being I have so many projects you can imagine how much of a strain it can be and I have been trying to bring some order to it all instead of having everyone working on the same thing at once. Beyond that, the idea is to eventually move from a solo demo and single player to potentially multiplayer or mmo, but this is just the hopes that we have as we are still limited by resources, finances and even our current knowledge. This includes the resource limit of what The Source Code can do.
5.) I also might begin taking up writing again, I have some so so written pieces in my scraps but I wish to make some better writing. My aim is to potentially rewrite these stories and to even develop some new ones revolving around the main testing character I made for my game named Sebastion Ironfang. Before anyone yells about his last name, Ironfang is his mother's tribe's name, so he will take it as a last name in a modern setting which I plan on having him visit eventually... since he is taking after his father and not dying. Bloody guy was an immortal in DnD and now his son is an immortal in my own game... well practically.
6.) My attempts to get better at drawing? They have been on pause for a while, it makes me feel bad but it was needed with so many projects and being it was the one I was showing the least amount of progress in... I am therefore putting it on pause. Beyond that, my inspiration to draw compared to writing seems to be smaller which makes me a little sad but perhaps when one of the two major projects clear up I might take up drawing again and try to get that up to speed with my writing. This way I can do my own art work for my game and writings, but for now I will probably have to rely on other artists to help me with that when the time comes for art work for my game or stories.

On A Note Of Table Top Role Playing Games

If you are interested in an rpg in just about any setting for role play or group role play please contact me and I can see what I can do. My system is customizable in some areas including setting.
Current settings are; Medieval, Modern, Modern (Apocalyptic), Future, Future (Apocalyptic).
Apocalyptic settings all have multiple settings including zombie apocalypse. Feel free to note me if you are interested, I am not good at advertising and am still working on it. Yes, this means you will be part of the beta.

Some Old Writings and Current Projects
Posted 13 years agoWithin the next month or so I might post up some of my older works as well as some recreations of them. I know a few of them could use some major work and plan on increasing the amount of detail and story behind it all.
Beyond that, I am looking for testers for my game potentially. There are a few I have to the side but solo campaigns are possible too.
In other news, I will possibly do writing for people if they request. If you do wish to give me cash for a writing piece I have a paypal but it isn't necessary. I am still trying to improve my literary skills as well as working on several projects so don't be afraid to ask if you have an idea. I can try to write it up. Can't promise the highest of quality or the quickest of speeds but I will try my hand at it. Some extremes I will not do but others I am fairly flexible on.
Any other questions you can note me and I will see what I can do to answer them. I am hoping to get an old piece of mine posted up on here sometime soon but that is all pending on my schedule.
