Before I write, illustrate, and release the first page I want to design Alice so I know what I am describing xD
Any ideas on a good species for Alice? I'm thinking something feline or maybe mustelid.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Alice in Wonderland and I have my own take of a few of the characters. I am currently making refs for them (I was going to just sell them but man do I love these characters and designs so I am keeping them lol)
Me and my sister drew our own take on many of the Wonderland characters when we were younger and I decided to re draw them! a sort of Draw This Again (but also I am changing their designs).
I have a somewhat story planned and I would love to write it all out! Would you guys be interested?
Also I can either write a short story version of Lewis Carol's Jabberwocky poem (That was the original story I had planned)
OR I can write a retelling of Alice in Wonderland with my take on the world and characters (Will be anthro of course)
OR I can TRY to do both xD

So!! After this journal I am going to put on some aroma therapy and read my study bible and maybe study some about Europe ^^

I just want to tell you guys that I know what depression feels like. I may not be the best with words or advice but I can say that I do know how it feels. I love you guys no matter what you believe or who you love. Even christians have depression, believe it or not! And on Good Friday of all days! I just wanted to say this for who ever needs to hear it:

You are not alone
You are loved
You are appreciated
You are talented
I believe in you

If depression makes you lose motivation, then don't listen to it! It is 11:30 in my timezone and I still have not started my school for today. My dad had to make me get out of bed. The shower turning cold is what made me stop standing there this morning. Break the cycle. I have done it before and I will do it again! Do what you love, even if you lack the motivation to do so. That first step is a hard one, but it is worth it in the end. It is not a permanent cure, but it does help.

I borrowed a Legend of Zelda game from a friend! It's Spirit Tracks (notorious for being one of the world's worst Zelda games, but beggars can't be choosers!)

I will not draw for the above fandoms (exception for furry since many of my charaters are anthro). I don't want to talk about above fandoms.

• What is the name of your fursona?
Lyric

• Where did the name of your Fursona come from?
Lyric was named by  Noivem! She's really great at naming things and she helped me make Lyric at a "What is Furry?" panel at an anime con!

• What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?
Well that one's a long story ^^' I'll condense it! I LOVE cats! Lyric was originally a house cat! But I also LOVED large, plush ears! I decided to cross a fennec fox with a couple big cats to compromise! Noivem was really helpful and suggested spots inside stripes when I couldn't pick her pattern. The flix species was born!

• What is your fursona's personality and how does this compare to your IRL personality?
Lyric is a bubbly cuddlebutt. She loves hugs! She loves to dance but sadly can't dance well. She doesn't care and keeps flailing to her favorite music! She is a raver of the Kandi variety. That means lots of beads and pastel colors and sweet music!
Lyric is pretty similar to me but not a carbon copy. Personality wise she is who I want to be! I can't dance but I am too shy to go out and bust some moves (unless it's a room full of similar people like con raves lol)
There is a LOT to me. I have anxiety and depression (I kindly left those out for Lyric so she can be the happy floof). Sadly I do not have too much backstory or depth for most of my characters.


• What is one item your fursona owns that is significant to you in RL?
Lyric has a stuffed kitten named Boo (in honor of my sweet kitty that passed away). Boo looks just like the beanie baby kitten I got when I was 5! I still have it lol

• What is one thing you think you would say to your fursona if you could meet?
"Keep dancing, Lyric! Don't let your dreams be dreams!"

• What is one thing your fursona would say to you if they met you?
Lyric generally doesn't speak but if she could: "You should dance with me! Forget the people staring!"

• How has your fursona changed over the years?
The first time I drew Lyric, I hadn't even unpacked from the con yet! Once we got home, I grabbed a pencil and some coloring pencils and set to work! Her first drawing likely doesn't exist any more or is in my keepsake box in my closet. I was not used to drawing animal faces so it was a challenge! I drew her in a baggy tee and some edgy bondage pants ready for a rave. (no no not fetish bondage pants. These bondage pants are also called "rave pants". They're just baggy pants with loads of zippers and studs and pockets and chains.)
Her edge has softened obviously! Her first ref was never uploaded here. It's embarrassingly dreadful as I was new to Krita (my old art program) and new to drawing anthro animals. Now I go for a more kemono or really toony style with her depending on my mood. She usually doesn't wear clothes because I hate drawing them and she falls under the Chewbacca rule: it's ok to not have clothes if covered with fur.

• How long have you had this fursona?
Ever since I went to the "What is Furry?" panel. I actually do not consider myself furry (because with that title comes all the cringe and people giving you a funny look. I believe furries actually identify with their characters on a deep level. I do not. This is more of a fun hobby and a fandom than an identity. I used to call myself a furry back when I saw it as just a fandom but it seems much more and I have seen some things in this subculture I would rather not identify with. No I am an anthro artist with lots of characters). Besides that point! I have had Lyric for about a year and a quarter now :)

• Would you like to be more like your fursona?
Yes! Like I said above: Lyric is who I want to be. That is the beauty of making OCs! I make lots of OCs based off me in different areas and I make them braver and cooler versions of me so I can explore and have adventures from the safety of my home :)
