Happenings, Juin's Accident, Sketch Pages
Posted 12 years agoSo as some of you already know from
juindalo s journal, he had an accident at work.
He works for a pool store, and while putting away a pallet of "power Powder" (AKA powdered chlorine type thing, or "shock") There was a piece of cardboard on the bottom, and since there were no visible signs of any loose powder, he picked it up, and all this powder that was on the cardboard poofed up into his face. So it went into his nose and lungs. Yes there were masks available, and they are used when handling chemicals, but this was an instance where he was trying to clean up the last bit form unloading the truck in between customers, and there was nothing visible on the cardboard. He has done this with the cardboard a million times, and had NO problem. He thinks it was because it was an ENTIRE pallet of this product, so there was more free floating powder then just 2 boxes of the stuff on the pallet. There is always some powder on the boxes just like when you go to the store and look where the flour or sugar is, there is just dust of it everywhere. It's unavoidable. So yeah, it's a shitty situation.
Luckily he was wearing his glasses so his eyes were safe.
He took the day off next, and then tried to go to work. His lips turned white and his arm went numb from lack of oxygen. Not good :(
So he did a treatment of steroids once they deduced that it was indeed chemical inhalation, and unfortunately, that did NOT clear everything up.
He still has a pretty bad cough which gets worse when he does any physical activity or goes outside, and such. So we FINALLY after almost a month got him into the pulmenologist. The dr, was of course a little beside himself about what he was exposed to. They did an EGK, Breathing test, blood oxygen level test, a second chest x-ray, and gave him a nebulizer treatment.
He is now to take 2 different medications in the nebulizer twice a day, as well as an inhaled corticose steroid inhaler twice a day as well. And the rescue inhaler still as needed throughout the day.
He sees the Dr again on July 2nd. So he has a month to see if he can get better. This has been really hard on both of us as I have also had a bevy of medical issues come up.
I have had a total of 17 vials of blood drawn in a 2 week period trying to figure out what the hell is wrong. I have an ultrasound tomorrow (of the uterus) and then a mammogram at the end of the month. That is the one I am most scared about.
I have also had some family issues, so I have been over at Juins house for a while.
So!
Since I can't do my drawings on my tablet as his house (yet we are trying something new today)
I found a WHOLE sketch book that is completely empty!!
Juin has BOXES full of art supplies, from Prisma markers, to colored pencils, crayons, paints, charcoal etc.
So I thought since Tribal Solstice is at the End of the month and I've got all this time on my hands, I would offer sketch page commissions.
Basically I will take one page of my sketch book and fill it up with pictures. How much you pay depends on how much you get. From doodles, to inked, to full colored. All in one page!
I will fill up every inch of the page, scan it into the computer as well as mail you the actual page itself. I will be making a poster for this today.
These I can complete a LOT easier then some of the digital commissions I still owe people. And I can work on them while I have some down time at Solstice as well.
So I will list the prices here, as well as post a pic shortly, and if you're interested please let me know.
With Juin not working and me getting ready to do this giant dance thing as WELL as taking care of the Farima Dance Company while Farima is in Turkey for the next month. Whew.
Lots to do, and little income.
I have taken these last few months to myself to get my shit together, and I have. I am working hard on the commissions owed, and I really didn't want to take new ones until I've had a break. Well, I've braked enough.
We gotta do something. We are both really struggling, and we could use the support of our community.
I have felt so terribly guilty about the length of time it has taken me to do commissions. I have beaten myself up for it, and am still struggling. Either way. I am working through it and making damn sure I give you all the best I can.
Every little bit helps. And since I found this sketch book I thought it would be a good way to give back to my commissioners (i.e if I owe you something you get a sketch page for free)
And also try to earn a little bit of money to help run our house hold until Juin's workman's comp comes through.
He will be offering up some commissions as well. Not sure what kind. But Even while at his house I can at least do these.
So here are the prices. And any help would be so greatly appreciated.
Sketches and doodles $5
Sketches, Doodles, some inking $10
Sketches, doodles, inking and a bust and full figure colored $15
Sketches, Doodles, Inking, and 2-3 figures colored $20
This will be an ENTIRE page filled up. and perhaps even some on the back of the page as well. It is high quality paper, and I will be using the best materials I can get my hands on.
It can be G-XXX
and I will try and get some fun sketches of your character(s) in there too. Couples welcome, groups, and themes as well.
For examples, I can do some BDSM drawings, and maybe have your character done as a pin up and/or belly dancer as well.
Some cute candid couple's moments, and a silly moment, or some fancy design.
Mehindi designs can be added for accent as well as whatever else comes to my mind.
I want to get back to art. It has been there for me for a LONG time. And I think I have kept my distance trying to get my shit together long enough. I want to give back as much as I can. As well as of course finish the commissions still outstanding.

Sweet Cute moment..and then....
Posted 12 years agoFUNNIEST THING EVER!!!!!!
Ok, so Nahmbo our (Bengal Boy) cat has taken a liking to cleaning Juin's Goatee every night before we go to Bed. Juin lays on his back, Nahmbo on his chest and he just starts licking. He goes back and forth like a person eating corn.
So we were siting on the couch reading together, and I look up from the book, and Nahmbo is sitting in Juin's lap giving him a bath. I grab my iPohone since we have been trying to get this on film for a while, the sheer cuteness factor. And well..
You see what happened.
We laughed so hard it hurt. Tears streaming down the face, it was freaking HILARIOUS!
One of those moments when it was just perfect timing to have a camera in hand. This is what the internet was created for. And iPhones, I firmly believe.
So enjoy in the cuteness and Hilarity at Juin's expense (a little :P)
Oh God it still makes me laugh, every time....

Livestream help?
Posted 12 years agoOk, I was going to open up a stream, and for some reason, my channel is still there, my log in and all are still there, but when I go to launch the channel it says it doesn't exist...
Anyone else experience anything like this?
It's kind of annoying, to say the least, when I would very much like to start streaming again.
I will try and figure it out, but in the mean time I have a help ticket put in, but I figured I would ask.
If nothing else I have a "Joinme" stream I can open up.

Every Day's a Good Day when you Paint! *Dance performance!*
Posted 12 years agoSo Last night I attended the Kashmir Nights Hafla. My First time there.
The Belly Dance world has been really difficult this last month or so, and going to this show was my liberation!
I went there with Juin and our new neighbor, and I didn't give a flying FUCK what anyone thought about me.
Me costume, my size, if people liked me, hated me (there were a few that I knew of in advanced, unfriendly territory did NOT come even close to describing it as my ex troupe mate was there and we haven't spoken since the huge fight a couple of weeks ago)
I knew my dance piece was going to be a little unusual, but it was mine, it is a song I LOVE and inspires me every single time I hear it.
I Listened to my Sufi master and danced for myself. If people like me, great, if not, who cares!
Yes it's easier said then done, but somehow I finally was able to do it.
The show was AMAZING!
SO professional! MUCH better then the showcase I have been performing at by far!
And I had a first last night. Like RIGHT before I went on, this girl who was part of a choreo class, their first time belly dancers and it was their first show EVER, first performance, she had been sorta glancing at me all evening, and she finally asked if I performed at the December Hip Ex show, and I said "yes I did a Persian Classical Piece with my Troupe for Yalda" she was like "OMG it's YOU!" it's me? It's me what?
Then she said something I never thought I would hear
"You yes you! I saw you perform and it totally inspired me to start belly dancing! that is how I ended up in this choreography class! OMG!"
Me *deer in headlights* "wut?"
Yeah..so like less then a minuet before I am supposed to step on stage I find out I actually inspired someone to the point that they went out and took a belly dance class.
wow.....
The performance went great, and I had a LOT of people come up to me after, lust loving it and wanting to know where I was teaching and such, Hell one of my students from Temple Goddess was even there!
I have a Coffee date with the gal who ran the show, as well as the troupe leader for said choreo class. So yeah..
It seems when you let go and do things because YOU enjoy them and not care so much about what others think, it shows..BIG time.
And I couldn't be happier.
I love this song, I love this dance, the costume is made by all other belly dancers and friends, so yeah it was really amazing.
Side note
I have NOT been home for the last 6 days. Juin has been doing a marathon 10 hour days for the last 6 days, and I drive him to and from work, spend the night etc etc, and since our move in together never happened....eeyyaaahh..haven't really had time at my computer, like at all.
So next week he is off, and I will have time to finally sit down and get these sketches, WIPs, and finished commissions up, posted and sent.
I appreciate your patience. I promise it will be worth it. I have upgraded most of the commissions that have taken longer then was intended to be finished, so I hope you all like what I have done.
So without further adue...here is my performance from last night
Enjoy!

The Drama of the Day on FA (and my Weasy Account)
Posted 12 years agoSo as the rumor mill has spun, we all know, well most of us anyway what the current state of things are here on FA.
No I am not leaving.
I have had my fair share of issues with the site, the people, and even the admins.
Hell I am sure some of you remember about a year ago my dear mate Juindalo was literally Lynch Mobbed out of here from people from AB. Which was against THEIR TOS AND FA's TOS
But either way.
We both decided we would have an account in both places. Just like we have a SoFurry account, Inkbunny account and Deviant art account as well as nameless other random Furry Fan art accounts.
I can be found here https://www.weasyl.com/profile/lysette
And Juindalo can be found here https://www.weasyl.com/profile/juindalo
(he has a new job and is working insane hours so I am helping him out a bit with the letting people know
A Word on Commissions. I am working on them. I should be posting things soon (I dearly hope)
There has been some drama in my life lately (me drama no way right -_-)
Nothing too bad, pinched nerve in jaw, which sucks, pissed at Drs, typical, My dance friend and troupe mate Bailed on me in a very childish Display and I was supposed to perform twice this month, had to miss one last week due to aforementioned friend bail out drama and jaw (anger+hurt jaw muscle=locked jaw, ER and shot in Ass)
So I have a performance Tuesday that I will NOT miss. But during the day while Juindalo is at work, I work on art, tis working out good so far.
So hopefully there will be some progress I can show and pieces I can FINALLY get finished and then post.
Hope you all had a Lovely Valentines day.
I Stood up for 1 Billion Rising. That is a journal for another day though. Stay Tuned for a video of my performance in the next 72 hours.

Just arrived in the 21st century (it's about time!)
Posted 12 years agoSo yes, I was finally forced into getting a smart phone (if you are wondering why I was forced, I like phones to just ya know PHONE and computers to COMPUTER!)
Anyway, not only did I get a smart phone I got an iPhone 4 of all things. And yes I am instantly addicted. First thing I did..take pictures of myself with my cat playing with the phone...no lie...ugh.
So! My tech savvy Furs!
What apps are the ones you can't live without?
I have no clue honest to blog what I should have, what is a waste of time, and just..blah...
Also for my artists friends..any cool drawing or paint programs that are fun?
Lemmie know because as much fun as I am having, I am also hopelessly lost on what apps there are, and what ones I should get.
I know there is LITERALLY an app for EVERYTHING ( this weird chick in my neighborhood showed me her ovulation app..eww right!?)
So yeah, please hold my hand as I walk into this century finally :'(

Ever Wonder how we Do it? (Belly Dancing Stuff)
Posted 13 years agoSo just a brief journal..and I WISH I could carry this video around with me when I am explaining what ATS or American Tribal Style Is.
Basically it is a series of movements, and vocabulary that is known world wide, there are some slight variations on the moves, but all in all they are the same. It makes a dance atmosphere where the dancers can come together and dance to any song, and make it look like a well rehearsed choreography. But how do they do it?
In laymen terms, here is an EPIC Video of a Dancer's Play by Play...Enjoy!
More to update when this hellatious month is over :)

Overview, update, and MY BIRTHDAY (Today the 19th of Jan)
Posted 13 years agoSo yes as another year passes and I get another year older, I have a chance to look back at the previous year. 27 wasn't so bad,(considering most of this year I couldn't remember how old I was and thought I was 28) there were some really awesomely epic parts like being part of the Unmata Ink Project
GETTING my UnSigil Tattoo with Amy Sigil and Kari of Unmata at Tribal Solstice, and heck even GOING to Tribal Solstice and studying with amazing dancers such as Sharon Kihara, Jill Parker Sami'Te, and Unmata.
I have started a new path in dance, while also holding strong and growing in the style I already have and love.
I Realized I wasted a year and a half at a studio that didn't love or appreciate me in the LEAST. They just wanted to make me their little bitch cash cow, but when their true colors were shown to me, and I received a gift they thought they were going to be given, or was owed to them, then all I did over the past year and a half meant nothing.
Their loss.
I found out that I can't always be there for everyone else, because if I do something I care about will then slip, fall and break, mainly my art.
I think that was the hardest part of last year was how my art went. I did some amazingly awesome pieces, but somehow my attention got divided and it slipped, fell and broke. I am gluing the pieces back together and starting the long road to being the artist I was before. To earn back the respect I lost. But in that process I can show you all what I am really made of, and maybe even get a fresh start.
So Now on to the new things awaiting me in the future of 28
I am working with an amazing woman and learning SO much. I Applied for the Tribal Solstice 7 Scholarship. I am the Artistic Director for the Florida Chapter of the Farima Dance company. A Position that until just last night I didn't realize I could just be proud of. And say it without feeling like I am being cocky or anything. (because I spoke with Farima, and she told me to sing it form the Rooftops, also gave me a lesson in Farsi/Persian which was freaking HILARIOUS)
Anyway, I am getting new friends in the belly dance world, something I have craved for as long as I can remember. I have a TROUPE yes FINALLY I have what I always dreamed of, but it didn't come the way I thought. It is a Persian troupe, and the dancing and pieces we perform are about a million times harder, but oh man is it worth it. I am also learning Sufi Whirling (like the whirling dervishes) It is an AMAZING process, and I can't WAIT till I can post my first video of me whirling. My Master (it is sorta like a star wars apprentice ship thing the way they have the levels and such, so that is sorta cool teehee) She is AMAZING and is teaching me so much. Such an amazing woman she is
As my art has grown, I am learning and experimenting with new things. I am anxious to take on new commissions and show these new styles and things I have learned, but I must finish the commissions I have first. And know this. With the commissions what happened will NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!
I feel ashamed that I let them got so far overdue. Some was purely me thinking I was more well then I actually was, some was me just trying to make ends meet, and most was that I REALLY want to work on these pieces and ideas, and then my health gets in the way. SO commissions will be taken on in a new fashion. Not one I particularly like, but it will make sure to keep me on the right path. So I can devote the time I owe my lovely commissioners on their pieces.
So! Many fun things to look forward to!
New Dance, More Unmata, More Persian, Whirling, New art styles, Painting, drawing learning. Just MORE. And I am happier then I think I have ever been. It's not perfect, there is still pain, and medication, but it is damn close to complete happiness. And I am content. I have my 2 favorite Boys, juindalo and my sweet Kitty Nahmbo to snuggle and purr all my worries away. I can sit in bed and read and have a cat covering my ENTIRE lap, who looks at me with such love, that I just look back and wonder how I could think that life is bad.
So here's to another year older, another year wise, another year for scars to heal, getting stronger, being braver, and overall Being happier <3
My Lovely Teacher Farima Dancing, and Whirling https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?.....=3&theater
My Tribal Solstice 7 Scholarship piece (if I get it I will get ALL of the workshops over 4 days for free, so like 18+ Tribal Belly Dance workshops with some of the Biggest names in Dance, so keep your fingers crossed for me!)

To bid on a pot, down below it will have a comment that states "For pot #x Place bid here"
And you comment on that with your bid. The bidding will be started according to an average of what the pots are worth which will be listed below.
At the end of the auction I will contact each of the winners, and pass their names along to the corresponding artists.

"Hoss Aide!" Help a Fellow in need
Posted 13 years agoMany of you know Rain, or Storm, or just know him as
marefurryfan
He is a wonderful guy, and also an avid commissioner of MANY artists here on FA. His lovely horses have always provided many with beautiful pictures, as well as commissions for artists, and just general awesomeness. He is a good personal friend of
Juindalo and myself as well.
As some of you may know, but some may not, our dear Hoss has befallen upon some REALLY bad times here is the journal that shows exactly what happened http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4196078/
So yeah, his work tools were stolen after a horrendous day, and he is up a creek without a paddle now.
Being the amazing member of the community he is, juindalo and I wanted to help. So we are helping him host an auction to raise money to help him buy back his tools. Because without his tools, he can't pay rent, afford food, any of that, not to mention he would not be able to buy any art/commissions from anyone for quite a while.
Being a huge part of this community, we really want to help, and I am asking you artists and commissioners out there to help as well.
Artists-
If you would like to contribute a piece to this auction, please note me with what you would like to donate, and the amount it is worth. This is NOT exclusive to just art, it can be things you make, sculptures, badges, buttons, whatever you do, anything is helpful.
You will then be paired up with 1-2 other artists in a "Pot" there will be (hopefully) quite a few different pots varying in price so that anyone who wants to help can purchase these. After the bidding period (about 48 hours) the winner will be announced for each pot, and the artists will contact them etc.
Commissioners or art enthusiasts-
We would greatly appreciate you bidding on these. We will also have a special raffle for those who write a journal to help us spread the word. Each person who writes a journal (once we have all the details hammered out, not yet ) You will receive a number that we will draw and you could winsome free artwork for your help.
All proceeds will be sent directly to
marefurryfan to go to him getting new tools.
We really want to help our friend and an awesome commissioner of this community. So if you can spread the word we are looking for artists, or volunteer as an artist etc, it would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you all, and maybe we can help one of our own recover from a really senseless tragedy.

Happy Holidays!!!
Posted 13 years agoI wanted to take a moment while I can to wish EVERYONE a Happy Holiday!
Happy Hanukkah, Happy Yalda, Happy Yule/Winter Solstice,Happy Kwanzaa, Merry Christmas, And if there are any religions I forgot that celebrate this time of year, I hope your holiday is very joyous and wonderful.
I have been working VERY hard lately on many things, the most of which has been the new Persian Troupe here in Florida, a chapter/sister troupe of the Farima Dance Company
(She came to visit the studio I was previously with in September and I guess just liked my style and asked me to do this, long story short, studio accused me of lieing and all such bullshit blah blah fuck em I'm happy and they can just sit and lick each other's asshole's for all I care)
Anyway, the first Dance I was charged with creating was for Yalda the Zoroaster holiday on the Winter Solstice.
Since I didn't know much about Yalda, and technically today is "Yald's Eve" kinda thing, here is some learning for you all :) (Courtesy of Farima)
"Festival of Yalda - Yalda means “Birth of Light” celebrated the night before the 1st day of winter (celebrating the Winter Solstice). It is the longest night of the year and the Persians celebrate this night to thank the coming of the light, “The Birth of Zoroaster”.
This festival was the celebration of victory of God of Light (Ahura Mazda) over darkness (Ahriman). Many eastern Orthodox and Iranian Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus on Yalda (December 21sth) rather than December 25th. According eastern bible, the 3 Persian wise men followed the bright star on the longest night of the year, which led them to baby Jesus. December 25th actually started by the Germans. The Eastern Orthodox Christian call this night “Syriac” meaning “Birth of Light,” which means Yalda in Farsi.
The celebration is almost like Christmas. Families get together, turn on candles or fire place, stay up all night, reading poetry from Hafez or Rumi and eat nuts and pomegranate, dance, and exchange gifts to pass the long, dark night. It is believed that if you have your fire on, evil will pass by your door and will not enter.
Yalda is celebrated in some parts of Greece, Italy, Egypt, Turkey, and Russia, Azerbaijan, and other Central Asian Countries."
So now you know, neat huh. So My New Troupe Founded with the Help of Farima, and a new dancer friend we did a little Performance for Yalda.
Here is the Day beau Performance of our troupe Mihri Mah (Meaning fire in the moon)
So yeah..it was VERY hard, but the challenge was nice. It is TOTALLY different from the normal style of Belly dance I do, or rather the Tribal Fusion style, it is a style DEEP rooted in history and is taught through word of mouth, there are NO DVDs or instructional aids on youtube, NOTHING. SO yeah, it's been interesting. But I am glad we did it. As was mentioned the studio I have been with for a year and a half apparently thinks I'm the devil incarnate, what else is new? When something happens and it;s not in the favor of those I'm with I am ALWAYS to blame. It's getting pretty fucking old, so I have made changes to that aspect of my life and am happier for it.
Commissions.
Here is a current list and update of where your commissions are in the Que and how close they are to being done.
I have apologized for these a million times, and I know they have become hollow, so all I can do now is act. I Will Be posting a gigantic WIP with everyone's commissions on it as they currently are. If you are unhappy with the progress or tired of waiting, I completely understand, and as per my TOS please note me and we can get that fixed for you, weather it be a refund, a free piece of art once I get back in the groove of things (which should hopefully be soon) Etc. I aim to please and I know I have let a LOT of people down.
electricfox777 Film Noir Piece-Painting, about a little less then half way done
marefurryfan Sax pop art piece-sketched preparing to ink-Jaleo piece 90% finished with color, just have to shade and that is complete
xial Art slave-Some concept sketches have been drawn, and I will be sending 3 sketches for the 3 pictures, all has been off the clock to maximize your time as we discussed. I have started doing time lapses, and I may work on yours in this way if you would like.
cornel 2 page comic/short-not started yet, was trying to make a little more headway on the other commissions first. I will be working with Juindalo on this and get some story boarding done today and tomorrow.
(If I forgot anyone please let me know asap so I can add you to the list etc)
Since it's the supposed Eve of the End of the world, Tonight and Tomorrow night Juindalo and I will be staying up. We now have 2 fully working computers at his house, so I will be transferring these over and working on them with him there. So aside from a noisy cat to distract me I should be able to get a LOT done. Who knows we may decide to have some fun and do a stream, an "End of the World" Stream with some as you watch Freebies and such.
It has been an ups and Downs year my friends, some High Highs and some Low Lows. And sadly my art has taken the hardest hit. That sucks. When you are balancing things in life something is liable to fall and break, and unfortunately things jsut happened in such a way my art got pushed to the edge and shattered.
I am gluing the pieces back together, one at a time and hopefully I will have it all re-glued and re-made by the new year.
I will NOT be taking ANY new commissions until the old ones are finished and furthermore a bit after that until I feel I have the time and ability to dedicate to you all who commission me.
juindalo is offering some AMAZING deals, so if you are interested, he has some great stuff going on now, and to come, so go check out some of his stuff if you are interested in getting a commission.
There are also a LOT of great artists I have met over the year I will write a journal for (after I speak with them and see what commissions deals they are offering) for you all to go and check out.
As for me, I have a new troupe, a new path, and new directions. SO I will be catching up on personal art after commissions, and getting back to my roots as an artist.
Thank you all, and again Happy Holidays!

For a Good Cause
Posted 13 years agoAs a Female that also has had to deal with similar issues, and even my mother suffering through it for most of her life, This is truly a Worthy cause. If you can at least spread the word if not get one of her Awesome Snowflakes.
She created the most beautiful one for Juindalo and My Engagement. Seen Here
It has been my desktop Background ever since and I adore it. These are absolutely worth getting, and knowing half the proceeds go to a good cause is even better :)
Tis the time for Giving and sharing.

Time Lapse Videos..Yay or Ney?
Posted 13 years agoSo I am working on a side project that I wanted to do the time lapsed, or sped up video of me painting. And for experimentation I am using the commissions I am currently working on. I can't post all of them obviously because they have adult content (and I'm pretty sure that is not allowed on Youtube, but correct me if I'm wrong)
So Just wondering...What do you all think of Time Lapsed Videos?
Do you like them?
Are the Educational? Seeing the Artists process without the "real time" of a stream (especially getting into some of the painting)
Are they entertaining?
Music..do you like hearing things that are relevant to the picture or just something scenic? or does music distract fomr the video itself.
If you have a commission with me currently or in the future, would you be interested in that being a feature you can request (for no charge of course :3)
I would really like some feedback. I will be posting one that has non mature content soon. And doing a MASS Upload soon as well of all the backlogged pieces, so I can start some new stuff :)
So please let me know what you think, I am very interested in your input . Thanks!

Cane dancing Jackalope
Posted 13 years agoSO Last night I premiered my Mad Cane Dancing skillz with a quirky Tribal Fusion Cane Dance for a Day of the Dead show.
I Tell you what I can;t remember the last time I had so much fun! And Lucky for you all AND me, the normal videogropher wasn't there! so we ALL got to videotape ourselves and therefor I can share this the next day! (instead of 3 months from now)
I have 2 other videos I still need to upload, but yeah, having a good time!
As for the art, I will be toiling away at it tomorrow to get some more stuff posted. Things are kinda rough again, had to get more nerve block shots (eww) But I am keeping high spirits and still holding strong to BOTH my arts :)
Enjoy!

2 years ago today, plus I"M MARRIED!
Posted 13 years agoSo 2 years ago today I was sitting in a hospital bed recovering from the first of the 2 Brain surgeries I had.
Wow...how time flies...
To think back then..I never would have imagined that I would have gotten to meet my Idols, The Ladies of Umata, more-ever have them go with me to get the infamous Umlout Tattoo OR Be in a giant book that has pictures and stories of others who have the Umlout decorating their bides as well, and why.
I never would have dreamed I would dance with Fire, to teach a workshop so packed there was hardly a space left, or take a 2 day intensive in Persian dance and be invited to go to Turkey for practically FREE as the assistant of the instructor who is an AMAZING woman.
My Art has evolved, and though I am not as productive as I wish I was currently, I am starting to do more art again, and continue learning and growing as an artist.
I never would have dreamed, that not only do I get a wonderful man in my life, but that he stayed by my side through EVERYTHING and there is a LOT to that everything, and now I am Married to him.
There is so much more ,I couldn't possibly list it all.
Thank you all for everything, for being here, and listening to me when I ranted, or was emo, or sad, or even happy. Thank you for sharing your Fursonas with me, and allowing me to create beautiful art with them.
Now on to the Wedding.
We had a LOVELY little hand fast/commitment ceremony down at the beach last night. We were surrounded by the stars, moon, water, earth wind LOTS of wind, and an attempt at fire (the wind kept blowing our unity candle out but we got it lit for a sec, IT COUNTS)
We exchanged vows and gave our rings the loving vows and weight they now represent. So my wedding ring/engagement ring is also doubling as my wedding band until we have the BIG legal ceremony. But for all intensive purposes we are married and VERY happy.
It was so beautiful, and we came home and had burgers and hot dogs, sparkling cider, and one slice of Red Velvet cake.
Perfect.
We have a painting we are working on together and will share with you all in the next 24 hours I think. We are almost done. Adding some extra love and care to this picture.
We are so blissfully happy, and are now starting to plan more seriously. So hopefully this time next year we will have our big lovely wedding with family and friends.
I have other news that isn't so great, but I can save that for another day.
Look for some new art from me this week :) I have made a LOT of wonderful progress on projects and will be posting new things soon.
Thank you all again!

I Ish Getting Murried Tomorrow!!
Posted 13 years agoWell sort of...
Ya see
juindalo and I had Planned on Getting Married on the 21st a LONG time ago, well earlier this year, but as you know from recent events we were unable to have a full scale wedding.
So Tomorrow Night under the New moon, we will be doing a Handfasting/commitment ceremony at the beach at sunset.
It may be a LONG time before we can be legally married (though we HAVE considered going to the justice of the peace and just doing it that way, but my mom wants to throw us a HUGE wedding, we are talking David Tutera level)
So I went today and got the Blessing of the woman who will marry us, so that our union in the eyes of the Heavenly bodies will be just as real as if I were in a white dress surrounded by family and Friends.
We are very happy together, though slightly saddened that we were not able to have our dream wedding this year, but things have been rough this year. Good things have happened as well of course, but it has been heavy with Life Trials.
This weekend also marks the 2 year anniversary of when I had my Brain surgery. So it is a very special and Momentous weekend.
We will be sure to take a picture of he and I after we perform our little ceremony to show everyone :)
I thank you all for the love and support you have given myself and Juindalo this year, we consider you all here on FA part of our extended family, if not more, and we thank you for all you have given us over the years. Most of all a place to be accepted and supported.
So wish us luck and if you wish send your blessing in whatever form is true to your heart <3
I GET TO BE MRS.JUINDALO!!!!!! YAY!!!! REWRMARRIAGE!

Backlogged Commission Update
Posted 13 years agoIf you bought a commission from me and have yet to receive it! I am talking to you!!! (this also goes for art trades)
Here is what I am going to do. Tomorrow I am going to get ALL the work I have done on all the different commissions and post it so everyone can see where there's is and such. I can add extras to the commissions as a thank you for being patient, or we can discuss another smaller commission as it states in my TOS.
Here is a link to my TOS if you want to read up on it or are dissatisfied with what I have gotten done.
http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2010358/
I really appreciate the patience. RL medical and personal stuff has been bitch slapping me for months, and it finally seems to be cooling down a bit, enough so that I can do art and stream even again. Which I enjoy.
As I have said before, it drives me INSANE how long it has taken to get these finished. Those of you that have commissioned me in the past know that I am usually pretty prompt about commissions, and my work ethic.
SO again I sincerely appreciate the leniency. I will do everything in my power to make sure the commission you get, is the best I can possibly create.
Thank you.

Back and Ready for Action!
Posted 13 years agoHello My Friends!
Ok it is a new month and I am officially BACK.
Wow the last couple of weeks of September were Nutz there huh...whew!
Oh yeha you don't have a camera in my life..ok I'll elaborate...
So I have been workign to get off the pain meds (YAY) and I am now at every 6 hours 3 x a day, and starting to drop the middle dose soon. I plan to be off of them by the 10th. That is my goal. so YAY still for that.
I am noticing changes that are good, and some that are bad, but we are still working it out.
My BFF came down from Virginia to hang for a week. it was MEGA fun. We went to Homasassa to see the Manatees and such and ZOMG CUTE!!!! We got there RIGHT as it was time for their morning num nums...and we got pictures!! they are SOOOO freaking cute! I was like taking pics and sending them to everyone I could on my phone. (yes I will post pics) We also saw gaters, a Hippo, Birds, wolves, foxes, the panther was hiding, Bobcats, GROUND OWLS (CUTEE!) and got to take a cool boat ride and such. It was awesome. Only $10 to get in and just really awesome park. I am going back on my Birthday to see the Wild Manatees, and it is now my goal to pet one in the wild. Weird fact...it is against Florida Law to lay more then 1 hand on a wild Manatee. They can come to you, but not you to them and you can ONLY lay ONE hand on them. Weird...Imma use both hands..I DARE them to send me to jail...
Ok NEXT
We also got matching tattoos...normally something I would NEVER agree to, but A we have been friends for a LONG time, like coming up on 10 years. The tattoo we got also looks like a cursive L, and both our names begin with L, so if things go south, we have a back up. and she got this WICKED hand drawn crumbling stone heart..it is truly a stunning piece of art. And whilst there I learned my tattoo artist who is WICKED good, takes apprentices, and for free none the less...so...hmm....I am definatly considering it!
Then off to the DANCES OF PERSIA AND SILK ROAD @ DAY INTENSIVE!
wow.. just wow...
I have been Belly Dancing for 13 years, and how I have NOT done this style before is beyond me I LOVED it. It is almost worth completely switching over. The woman who taught it was an Ethnologist, Anthropologist AND archaeological, so she went through the spiritual reasons for certain things AND the scientific. SO the knowledge itself was just amazing. The dance of the Peacock was by far my favorite and I am working on getting the actual original peacock dance music. Hummingbird was a little nuts, but still cool. I did like 5 Solos...Poetry in motion about the Lioness Warrior who lead Persia and the Persian Army into controlling most of the middle east (they learned to fight by watching lions, scared the piss out of the Greeks and Romans) Then we did a sacred candle dance, and I did the final solo in that and Blessed Farima (the instructor) on the stage to Do the Whirling (as in the whirling dervishes kinda whirling) Whew that stuff is intense! I tried the whirling, and I could go on ALL day.
Anyway, then I did my own solo, a simple drum solo but I am VERY pleased with it. THEN I lead the last group number, AKA was first on stage doing Tribaly stuff until the other dancers marched out. Then we did a more Folkloric dance and ZOMG that was freaking fun! And Don't even get me started on the General that went to France and fell in LOVE with the Tutu and Decreed that All of his Kingdom would have to wear Tutus. And there are pics of this guy in FULL battle ready armor..with his Tutu on.....I WILL find a pic and post the link..promise..
I was just informed that we are going to do another intensive in 6 months and it will be a retreat so probably a week long thing. AWESOME!
So yeah a LOT of Persian Dancing, from Classical to present day, to Folkloric and back again. I can't remember hardly any names, but if you are of Persian Decent, and want to know if I learned any of your native dances, feel free to ask! I will know the name once I hear it! GAH so excited!!!
SO yeah that is what I have been doing for the last 10 days or so. Today is my first sort of day off. I have a Dr appt, but then will be posting Videos and pics from my adventures. YAY!
SO yeah, I MAY be creating a new character form the ancient mythology of how the Peacock came to be. I am super stoked. I WILL be streaming tonight so people can see what their pics look like, the state of done ness, and I have a LOT of new stuff to offer once I get finished.
SO YAY!!!
(goes dancing off)

So my BIG performance Tuesday evening was a complete success. One of the hardest pieces I have EVER done. It took many many MANY hours in the studio and literal blood sweat and tears..my artistic Director is God and is not shy about reminding me that...Ahhh..nice to be challenged for a change.
So as you can see, I seem pretty happy. That is because things are FINALLY changing for the better. I see my Dr Tomorrow and I will be starting the process of getting off the Pain medication from my post op complications form my brain surgery.
NO idea what happened..but the pain just sorta..stopped. It still gets a little cranky with weather, but hell it;s not even CLOSE to as bad (YAY) maybe it;s just because I am a Month away from my 2 year mark..maybe it just needed time to heal. Maybe all the shit I went through over the last 2 years finally just added up and fixed it, who knows I'm not questioning it, just going on with my life FINALLY.
That means YES I WILL FINALLY be finishing those COMMISSIONS! as well as taking new ones and going back to the Old way I used to work where I ya know GOT SHIT DONE.
Ugh finally...
I hate feeling this useless.
SO aside from the Drs neglecting to tell me that I have had a good amount of BLOOD in my urine for ohh...the last 6 months among other things i may actually sue some bitches over, things are going pretty well.
Problems are being solved, and things are moving forward again.
It isn't the end of all my problems, I still have the mental illness stuff, and the whole not knowing what I am like post op since I have been on pain meds since day 1. So we just don;t know honestly. But it must be better then the life I have been living (my personal day to day life) for the last 2 years.
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Glad to be finally getting these commissions done. You all have NO idea how many days and nights I have stressed, cried, yelled and worked myself to the bone TRYING to fight this illness and pain and other random BS that I was subjected to only to STILL come up short and NOT be able to intact the work ethic I usually have.
For those of you that remember, I get..shit..DONE.
It is usually less then a week for me to get commissions finished..I am glad I can get back to that again. Really get my art back to where it should be. For myself as well as for all of you.
And you have my unyielding gratitude for your patience and understanding.
I will be making a large gift art piece for everyone as a thank you,. but I shan't say more lest I ruin the surprise :)
SO without further adue, here are some pics and a little bit of Video from Tuesday's performance.
Scroll through them all, just watch my piece, totally up to you all.
I am the one with the bluish Violet hair and in fishnet and a soda can top and blue corded belt. There are 2 video snippets (bout a min long) of my performance. The entire video will be posted as soon as I get the DVD.
So thank you all, and prepare to here more from me soon, and more importantly SEE more from me. More streaming, more art, and new commissions specials :)
Thank you all, Sincerely.
The journey isn;t over yet, but it;s getting there and I thank you for continuing to believe in me along the way.

A shit day and all I got was this Smiley Face bandaid...
Posted 13 years agoHey guys, Juindalo here with a quick update on Lysette's recent events.
This morning she had a root canal which sucks on the sheer principle of it. After that she had terrible pain and migraines from the procedure, combined with pain from a UTI and endometriosis. She went to the ER to be treated like crap but some improficient nurses and doctors. After recieving two shots in the butt and a smiley face bandaid, she safe but still hurting at home. She is resting now.
So let's give her our biggest and warmest e-hugs and try and cheer her up. She certainly deserves every ounce of love she can get.
