Commissions are Open!
Posted 3 years agoIt's been a while, so just reminding people commissions are available; as a reminder of costs:
Commission base price starts at 4 cents per word. You decide what you're looking to pay in advance, and I'll write accordingly.
For a simple example, we'll assume a $100 commission - at 4 cents per word that is a 2,500 word story.
I may contact you with samples to ask for guidance on direction during the process; when I near completion, I'll send a 500 word sample (20% of the finished product).
After I have finished (including final edits), I will provide you with final page and word count.
If I have undersold you, you will be charged less accordingly (if I just couldn't stretch the concept to your budget). For example, if I just can't get this story past 2,400 words, you'll only be charged $96.
If I go over your budget, the first 10% is free, I begin charging at the usual rate thereafter. In this example, if you budgeted for a $100 story, and I get overzealous and go past 2,500 words, it is at no additional cost from word 2,501 to word 2,750. After that, the 4 cent/word fee applies.
HOWEVER - if this happens, I will let you know and remind you of this cost - and if you prefer not to pay the additional price, I will go back through and trim it down to the limit (though be aware this may affect quality/pacing a bit, if I was having trouble keeping the concept condensed).
A page is roughly 400 words on average
Expect completion in roughly one day/page - I may go faster than this, especially in the summertime - but extenuating circumstances aside, this is the slowest I should be. If something arises such that your story will take longer, I will communicate this to you as quickly as possible.
