Twitter, tumblr, and a star trek fandom project
Posted 5 years agotwo journal entries in one week, who even AM i???
Anyway. So I finally went ahead and, with much resentment, made myself a twitter and a tumblr. I have not had these for several reasons, which mostly boil down to the fact that I have pretty severe social anxiety and both of those platforms are fast-moving, have a reputation for a lot of nastiness and cruelty, are public facing, and tend to take complex ideas and nuance and spin them wildly out of context in ways that do those things a major disservice. All of my concerns in those directions remain, buuuuut it is kind of the expectation that I have some kind of presence on those platforms. It's my intention to keep those as feeds, primarily, and keep my interactions either limited to a very small sphere, and/or have no interactions on them at all.
But i did make htem, and they're kind of sad without anyone interesting to watch, and most of the folks i watch and who watch me back on here are really interesting, so. if y'all have twitter or tumblr, let me know and I'll follow u.

Also, idk if there's any overlap to this at all, but if anyone participates in the star trek fandom, a friend of mine brought me in on a TOS/AOS zine project that's gonna shortly be looking for applicants. It is a shipping zine. if that sounds like something you might be interested in, shoot me a note and i'll send u more information. :3

Giclee prints~
Posted 5 years agoOpened up an InPRNT store, tossed up some work in there~ InPRNT sells archival gallery-quality giclees; my prices are ~25$ for an 8x10 and 35$ for the 11x18ish range.
I'm also working on a zine project with one of my close friends (for my fandom stuff, which I tend not to put here, though if anyone's interested or writes Spirk shoot me a note and i'll drop you a link to our information; we're juuuust getting to interest checks right now). Part of that has involved scoping out print shops, aaand so, partially to test them out and partially cuz it's just fucking sexy to see your work in print, I will ALSO be getting digital prints in the near future and makign those available out of some storefront like storenvy or something.
If anyone has suggestions about what storefront to use, i am very open!
Those will be slightly cheaper, because theyr'e going to be printed through slightly different means on thinner paper (though some of them may also be printed on specialist paper like gold or metallic papers). The printing processes will be offset litho or, more likely, digital-- which is why they're cheaper, becuase digital color printing isn't always hte most color accurate? but even with the very minor color shifting that occasionally happens throughout a run, the prints nevertheless all tend to look pretty damn good. Price range for those is going to be in the 20$ish range for 8x10; 10-15$ for smaller. I'm also thinking i might do a run of trading card or postcard sized prints for between 10-15$.
Finally, if anyone'd liek some REALLY fine prints, i do have a printer i'm open to working with who does photographic c-prints-- where they develop your prints using color photo techniques-- and very fine giclees on super high quality paper. Those I will only print at request, for ~30-40+$ depending on size.
Those prices are speculative; when i have actual prints in hand (including the actual prints out of inprnt-- if the quality isn't worth the hype, i will close that storefront) I'll solidify that in either direction, but I thought i'd give folks a heads up.
more TBA.
also, if there's anything in my gallery you'd really dig as a print, let me know-
