Pool Party
Where: South Portland City Pool, 21 Nelson Rd, South Portland
When: Sat, Feb 09, 1:30pm
I'll be there sometime after 1:00 in the community center's lobby and we'll be allowed into the locker rooms to change around 1:50-1:55.
We have the pool from 2:00 to 3:00 so DO NOT BE LATE please! If we're already in the pool and you show up late you can pay me after.
Costs:
$5 per person.
Please bring cash, preferably ones and fives.

Pool information:
The pool is 25 m by 15 m, and starts at 3 1/2 feet and goes down to 12 feet.
There is a diving board. The pool also has a ramp for entry. There's balls, noodles, and various other things to use.
If you need swimsuits or other swim supplies
Keep in mind winter is a difficult time because it's a seasonal item at most major retail stores but here's a few suggestions:
1. Dick's Sporting Goods carries swimming stuff all year, just keep in mind the swimsuits are at relatively high prices since they're name brands (talking $40+)
2. Aqua Diving Academy, on Commercial St in Portland (next to Becky's Diner) - while it is a scuba diving shop they do also have a generous selection of swimming stuff including swimsuits, goggles, caps, etc. They're open until 2 PM on Saturdays

The cost will be $10 or $20 depending on if the pool is rented for one hour or two hours.

Pool Party
Where: South Portland City Pool
When: TBD: A Saturday in either late January or early February
A potential swimming pool party at the South Portland city pool. It would be in either late January or early February, depending on availability of the pool for rental. It will be on a Saturday.
Need a minimum of 6 furs to sign up for this meet to happen. Results and a date for the meet will be posted on social media after this poll has reached a minimum of 6.
The cost will be $10 or $20 depending on if the pool is rented for one hour or two hours.
IF more than 6 sign up, the cost per person will be reduced.
The pool is 25 m by 15 m, and starts at 3 1/2 feet and goes down to 12 feet. There is a diving board. The pool also has a ramp for entry. There's balls, noodles, and various other things to use.

Where: Area surrounding the New Gloucester town hall (385 Intervale Rd, New Gloucester, ME 04260).
We will meet at the library adjacent to the town hall.
When: Wed, October 31st, time 5:30 PM to whenever (most likely be around 7:30-8:00 PM).
Ages: For all ages.
Costumes are recommended and encouraged
If you are trick or treating (recommended for those under 18) bring some sort of bag or bucket to carry your candy.
It is recommended to bring a warm coat as it will be cold.
No food location is planned, as itβll be late in the night before we are finished
The weather is expected to be just cloudy, with a high of 51, low of 29

Where: G-Force Laser Tag 17 Marketplace Drive, Augusta (located next to the Flagship Cinema).
There will be a variety of activities including laser tag, archery tag, indoor disc golf, arcade games.
Fursuits are allowed, although archery tag requires a helmet ($5 fee) in place of a head.
Entry fee is $15 for a universal night pass, per person.
As it's a night activity, it is only open to ages 15+.

Looking for a local artists who would like to put some of their artwork on display at the wooden spoon in Winterport for free, and they can sell it as well. They bakery doesn't want the sale, we just want some local artwork to cover some holes on the walls and bring some more life to the dining area. Maine FurBowl Announcement
Family Fun Bowling Center in Bangor does not open at the normal Furbowl time on their summer hours. Last year we did the furbowl at a different place and while the bowling alley was decent, the location kinda sucked. To avoid this problem again and to prevent it from ever happening novarlynx is switching the schedule for the FurBowls:
March, July, and November will be in Brunswick
January, May, and September will be in Bangor.
Date for the July bowl to be determined later but will likely be the 3rd weekend.
Looking for a local artists who would like to put some of their artwork on display at the wooden spoon in Winterport for free, and they can sell it as well. They bakery doesn't want the sale, we just want some local artwork to cover some holes on the walls and bring some more life to the dining area. For a bakery/restaurant that has a view of the Penobscot river. Please not furry artwork, they can be animals, just not furry. 4 or 5 pieces at a time. Spontaneous Mini Meet in South Portland
This Saturday is the grand opening of the long anticipated Round 1 Arcade / Bowling Alley in the Maine Mall.
Would anyone be down for a kinda spontaneous mini meet Saturday afternoon to check it out?

Some of these are Shouts that might hold interest to Watchers, so what I thought I'd do is periodically collect the Shouts into a Journal entry.

Held in South Portland...because the center of Maine is so uninviting, even the interstate avoids it. No seriously, take a look at a map.
Held in the Doubletree Hotel...because NovarLynx's mom wouldn't let us hold it at his house. Even though we promised to pick up after ourselves.
Held in late April, when most people should be getting their tax returns and feeling splurgy.
Guests of Honor include
estobhan, a kitsune who sounds like a cat, and 
Takoda, a wolf who's named for a Mexican snack.
2018's theme is Heroes vs Villains. Villains will not need to eat a kitten to prove their credentials.
