I'm currently nearing the last few weeks of my Spring Semester at college. Lots of work still, but not nearly as intensive as in my last update.

In other news, my laptop is still down. Sent it in to Dell to get it repaired, only to get it back within a week of sending it, with them not doing anything to it and wanting to charge me almost $500 for "repairs". Going to send it back to them for one more chance at fixing it, otherwise I have no idea what I'll do. My last option is just waiting for enough money to come around to purchase a laptop that isn't HP or Dell (I had an HP laptop prior to my Alienware and it was more shitty than a standard tournament full of netdeckers at a local FNM).

As such, I'll be moving all my Utau files to my brother's laptop (since I'm temporarily taking control of it until further notice) and will try to work on a few things here and there.

School is eating me

Huh, now I remember how terrible I was a writing at Haiku.

But yeah, school is really taking most of my time nowadays, so I haven't been able to work on either my Utau or even my first Let's Play. Might start doing something as Spring Break draws closer (maybe), but for now, I'll try to check in to FA

Also, still working on my VCV bank. It's practically almost oto'd. All that's left to do is finish what isn't already oto'd, then add in the hiragana.

Just found out my VCV bank is utter garbage. While testing a few of the samples in Utau, the sound came out all scratchy and inaudible.

I just feel like giving up on VCV. Too much effort to edit each sample 5+ times only to find out it sucks.

[Edit] Well, whatever. I'm gonna keep on working on it. Accidentally hitting my head on my fridge door while getting a frozen burrito made me realize that I need to keep plowing forward and doing what i love to do. That and Utau derped because I had somehow changed the settings on it. So the VCV bank is still in-progress.

As I am typing this, the outer bands (and soon the inner bands) of Hurricane Sandy are blowing over my house. Lots of rain and plenty of wind/frequent wind gusts to boot.

As for Utau, I'm still working on my VCV bank. Still editing the oto.ini file for all the sounds. Getting the hang of it, but will have to make a demo of it after I finish it to see if anything needs changing.

Well, after thinking about it, I've been contemplating on trying to either make my own MMD model or commission someone to make a model for me (although I'm thinking of getting 3 models done in total). Though I'd need to work on the Character bios for the other two, I think I'll eventually get that taken care of.

But yeah, that's pretty much it.

Pretty much what the title says. I woke up this morning to see a blue screen plastered on my laptop monitor. Spent all morning (even during class) resetting my computer to factory settings (it refused to boot up normally, and I even tried all the general stuff I knew to try and revive it).

So now I have no Utau. The only VBs I have of my Furloid are the ones I have on my 4shared (thank god I uploaded my Zoysia bank, or I'd have gone nuts). I lost all my USTs that I found over the past few months. I even lost all the progress I had made on my VCV bank (*sigh*).

Oh well, nothing else to do but just go at it again. I probably won't have anything Utau-related for about two weeks or so as I try to get all my stuff back.

Two people I'm watching are making a comic and kinda need characters for it. You can find more info here.

Summer heat. Too hot. Don't feel like doing anything. >_<

So last night, a very powerful storm came through my area. Suffice to say, many power/phone lines and poles (and trees) got knocked down by the horrendous wind. I'm not sure when I'll get power back at my home, so I'm crashing at a relative's place for a while. Won't be able to do much until we get it restored or if we decide to check into a hotel (that has wi-fi) for a day or so.

So I'll be gone for a little bit. Oh well. :'<

So I finally finished my updated bank for my Utau. A few details were listed in the Yandelenka cover I uploaded a little bit ago, but not many. Below is a few details of my updated bank:

-Clearer quality
-Still CV for now, but I am working on his VCV.
-VCV is about 4% done (only one or two lines or so).
-Will be uploaded to my 4shared in about a day or two from the time of this journal.

I also am working on making a new UST for a song (I won't say what yet :D). Just gonna give a clue: it makes you want to move. Won't give any more than that. :D

I'm also going to be on vacation for July 4th. I haven't gone anywhere for July 4th for a few years now, so it's kind of a refreshing change.

Anyway, this isn't really a big update thing. I'll see you in the next Journal Update. :)

So yesterday, I finally received the artwork from  drpickelle's free art raffle. I will say that it was worth the wait. It was like opening a Christmas present early, considering I was in a fit of giggles and couldn't stop for a few minutes. Before I move on, I just want to give a BIG thank you to drpickelle. Go watch her if you haven't. Her artwork will blow your mind (it certainly did for me!).

Now on to Utau. I updated Gregory's furloid page (which you can view here) with said artwork (When I either start paying for commissions or if I ever learn to draw sometime this century). You can also find more info about him as well as his voicebanks (please read each bank's notes prior to use, thank you!).

I'm still editing my bank's Oto (since summer school practically saps me of all my energy), so there's that, I supposed. I wanna start doing Utau covers again and maybe even make another tokusatsu UST again (doing Go-Buster's was really fun, even if it wasn't that good, IMO).

Oh yeah, Diablo III came out and everything.

Go play it.

And ignore the Diablo II players. They're still stuck with Runewords and their Magic Find decked sorceresses. :P

Yep. About a week ago, I asked a really outstanding person (who deserves all the love in the world, IMO) for help with my bank, to which she told me that there was something wrong with either the oto file or just the bank in general.

So now, after re-recording all the standard notes through Oremo, I have a bank again. Currently editing the oto atm (may ask her for help again if I fail at oto'ing again XD) and hoping Utau doesn't pull an Ed on me. owo

So around 8 PM yesterday, I wake up to hear this extremely loud whirling going outside. It took a moment for me to realize that it was a storm. I was scared shitless, because the first that I thought was "tornado". I quickly unplugged my laptop and brought it downstairs with me and waited for the storm to pass.

It eventually knocked our power out, which left us in the dark all the way up until around noon today, while I was at my grandmother's place recharging all my portable electronics (laptop, iPhone, 3DS, PSP, etc.). Had McD's for breakfast (I prefer their lunch menu to their breakfast).

I spent a good portion of the rest of the day asleep, to boot. *sigh*

At any rate, I had the better portion of the last of my Memorial Day weekend stolen from me by Mother Nature. :|

In other news, I'm also working on another UST for another tokusatsu show, though I won't say what yet. That's a surprise. I may not have it done before the end of next week, since I'll be busy with summer classes and other RL stuff.

Oh well. :S

So I'm now getting all my covers that I've made and submitted to Furaffinity here onto my youtube channel since lord knows what I was thinking (or not) when I was uploading them.

They should all be up by around 11:00 AM EST.

...I managed to figure out how to make my wikia page not look like a depressed rainbow had barfed all over it.

Only this time, I have a better microphone. Gonna redo all of Gregory's VB with it, then move on to VCV after I make a small demo of it.

I still feel cheated knowing my $100+ World of Warcraft Wireless Headset (that came with my laptop almost a year ago) has a shittier mic quality than this $20-$30 Logitec Headset that I got from Radio Shack about 2 years ago. ಠ_ಠ

It's like (for me) drinking Pepsi and thinking the taste will improve with every sip. It's a wonderful tug-of-war between being able to make an UST/VSQ, while at the same time being a very painful and methodological trial-and-error type of hardship.

While I do finally have the Main vocals for Ikelenka done atm, the harmonies are being a bitch to do since I have only my ears, some fan-made sheet music, and the inability to isolate the main vocals from the harmonies.

Still, with the Main vocals and the background voice near the beginning of the song have been made. Now I just need to do the harmonies to go with the main voice. Then I'll be practically done with Utau in terms of making the UST files. The fun part is mixing that all together. XD

Oh yeah, if you haven't yet, here's a sample of what I've worked on for the song about a day or so ago. Summer gives me a lot of free time (well, until summer classes in about 2 weeks or so).
