I'm thinking about opening one up, mostly because of this recent outage... it took quite a long time for the new security protocols to be implemented, and all of the outages make it hard for me to communicate with watchers who dont have my skype/ steam. I see a lot of people going that way, but FA is no stranger to threats of mass exodus that didnt bear much fruit. Not to mention managing more than one account seems less than desirable to me at the moment. What do you guys think?

Hey folks, sorry about the suddenly dissappearing thing, the CPU fan on my rig died and I had no money to get another for a couple weeks. Now that its fixed however, I'll be continuing work on art. I've got a few sketches going, nothing too big, but I would expect a few posts here and there soon once I get a couple of the ones I like lined out and detailed. I've entered that artists block rut thing, so now I cant do things... someone give me an idea! I'll read over them. If you've got a cute character and concept go ahead a post them here, I'll give the journal a couple days to marinate and then look over it to see what we got... I play Kung Fu Master, I have fun but get frustrated cause I die a lot, due to ranged characters spamming more damage and turning bosses so I get hit with AoE's and noone ever wants to resurrect you after you die. (Even though it doesnt cost anything) I wouldnt be salty about it if it was actually just me dying due to my own stupidity or lack of skill.

I play Summoner, Its EZ mode, spam 1 to 2 buttons and spam your self heals on stronger enemies, kite kite kite. Never really die that often cause shit cant catch you and or you outheal their damage, or cat keeps aggro like a boss.

I hate having to choose between having fun and being frustrated or being bored but having an easy time.

Just cause I'm bored and would like to chatter while I work on  Janiceametza's piece, come on in~ 18+ only pls.

My apologies to those individuals that wish to make use of my pet  malkanis but I have deemed it necessary to restrict her services. After some conversation with her, I have decided that any sexual fulfillment she receives in the form of roleplay is to come from myself only... that is unless she asks me really nicely and the interested party is ready to demonstrate their ability to me firsthand. Getting into the thick of things... I just finished up Blight Town and man was that bitch to escape... seriously I made it in there and beat the boss then got hella lost and died numerous times trying to get out. Whats worse is I've been through past this point before. Eventually I just got so fed up with the place that I started trying to run through hordes of enemies... which probably wasnt a good idea if I didnt know my way out. In hindsight my impatience was probably the catalyst for further frustration... you just cant rush in a game like Dark Souls, that's pretty much what I learned. Next up is Senn's fortress which after some past experience turned out to be easier to traverse than blight town. People say its misery incarnate but I believe differently. Yeah there are more traps but they are mostly environment based and not so much masses of enemies coming out of nooks and crannies you cant see because its so fricking dark. (Yes Blightown I mean you... you're an asshole.) Anywho if any of you still play Dark Souls 1, I hope I see your phantom running around somewhere or you catch my sign in the area of Senn's fort. I just hope I dnt run into too many player controlled darkwraiths most of them are heavily overpowered and make traversing the world a bit more frustrating than it aught to be... considering the game itself is hard enough for the unobservant and time consuming for individuals who know to look around a room before entering it.

Let me start off by saying I love FNAF (Five Nights at Freddy's) as a whole despite all the hate it gets from people who are tired of seeing it, or think it's "not scary."

I could go on about how fear is mostly subjective but that's a whole other discussion that many people, who most would consider more qualified for various reasons, have talked about before me.

Why do I say I regret this purchase though? Because even though I've played a single ripoff of the game... which was much less scary and intimidating due to the content involved (Five Nights in Anime) plus the endings arent entire undesirable... classic case of the gamer/completionist in me fighting with the pervert... (T&A in my face or win the game... HMMMM) even though I've played this spinoff that made me think I was ready for Freddy... night one I was trembling at my keyboard even though bonnie only threatened to attack once and I succeeded in shutting him out, the fact that everything out there was moving around and making those noises and not exactly having any sort of attack pattern made me very nervous. The inability to predict the next attack raised my anxiety levels tenfold.... (cause if anyone knows me they know I love my predictability... IE anyone who's ever played a PVP style game with coop options, I always pick coop... its easy to predict what an NPC will do but its much harder to figure out player thoughts/actions... dont judge me, I play games to relax and have fun not compete!)

A few other phenomenon that occurred that further broke my understanding of the game after watching many players play it is the "it's me" screen flashing in my face. Out of every play-through I've watched, that's never happened on night one... ever. Needless to say it psyched me out. I started panicking, I lost the animatronics, Bonnie almost caught me that one time he attacked and seriously for the last half hour of the night, I just fucking shut the doors and said fuck this, draining my power to 11% before 6 AM hit.

And then there was Foxy... that fucker... he's not supposed to come out on night one... not to my knowledge. When I saw him poking his head out of pirate cove in the middle of my panic I just couldnt deal. I dont remember him staring at you on night one...

So I say all this to say that the reason I regret this purchase is because dueto the massive amount of anxiety this game is going to cause me, I dont feel like I'm going to complete the whole thing. I'm damn well going to try but... I dont do horror games as it is. I dont deal with the stress well. The fact that you cant run makes this game even more stressful. BUT I do want to see what Scott Cawthon has for us in FNAF 4... as soon as its out, I'm looking for a playthrough. I dont think I'll be playing the game myself though, unless I handle games 1-3 without crying to myself in a corner somewhere hoping the creepy animatronics dont come eat my face.

Okay, this here irks me.

I'm getting wind of people sending my friends notes about how dumb their character's design is. Some of you know of whom I'm talking about, but for the sake of things I'm not gonna name names.

So how about we talk about what else is "stupid" regarding character design that we as furries so easily ignore.

1. Odd fur coloration.

Okay so... most people who are into animals know there is a reason why animals are colored the way they are... There are multiple reasons animals are colored the way they are in fact. The most commonly known reason for certain fur colors is camouflage. A lot of animals need to blend in with their surroundings to avoid the detection of predator species. Other animals have bright vibrant colors, to either attract a mate or warn of poisonous qualities. Take the poison dart frog for instance... bright colors on its skin, which is a warning sign to predators. "Dont eat me, it will kill you." Other animals including insects have this sort of bright coloration to send the false message that theyre poisonous. Birds, particularly males, with bright color plumage use said plumage to attract a mate during their various mating rituals in an attempt to increase the likelihood that theyre selected by the females.

So why are you running around as a pink kitty or sky blue vixen, a bright yellow dragon, a brightly colored rainbow husky? Most od the reason for the chosen color of a character is because it matches their personality or simply for aesthetical purposes... theres no practical reason for it. By your own standards... that shit is dumb yo.

2. Tails

Yup, I went there. Furry tails are dumb... why? Because things that walk around and talk and essentially function like a human, dont need a tail... humans have a tail bone but no tail... thats pretty much nature saying "eh you dont need that anymore". Think about it... in modern society having a tail can only be a huge hindrance. Think of all the expensive vases you'd knock over clumsily with your tail. The most common accidents revolve around doors shutting on said tail, sitting on your tail and or having to adjust it so you can sit comfortably on the couch, sleeping also sucks because if you sleep on your back, that extra appendage gets in your way. We dont need tails for balance when we walk because our arms and legs already take care of that... cheetahs use their tails for balance when running, dogs and wolves use it as a symbol of expression and sign of authority, some species of primate excluding humans use their tails to climb trees and hang onto things.

What do furries use them for? Pillows. We use them to show affection and/or endearment to other furries or things we want to hold closely/ keep close. Do furries need tails? Well certainly not... theyre pretty much useless and more than likely cumbersome when placed on a human frame, and said human placed in modern day society. By their standards, furry tails are dumb yo.

3. Large boobs/ penises

Seriously guys... knocking a furry design when your genitalia are larger than your fricking arms. Furry genitalia and breasts are on a regular basis drawn twice the size of a reasonable penis/ bust size. Whats impractical about that? Sex among other things. Most women cant fit your 14 inch phallus in their vagina without some form of discomfort, if they can fit it in there at all, so having a penis the length and depth of your forearm is highly impractical. Also Tits are the biggest culprit of this right next to dicks. Mammaries the size of your skull each are a quick trip to back pain. Girls with larger breasts tend to complain about them because of back pain among other things. This is ignoring the fact that large furry breasts tend to have an unusual lift to them with some exceptions. (A certain mouse named Pepper comes to mind, often seen drawn by an artist named Ritts.) Boobs like that combined with the slim, nearly anorexic waists that female furs (and anime characteres too) tend to sport is just dumb... the body would break in the middle from all that uneven weight.

Gigantic boobies are just dumb, bro.


I rant about all that to pretty much say that if you're going to knock a design based on a characters name not lining up with their actions, and wearing bandages even though there is no actual wound in an area (think Sonic Boom Sonic characters) you character better be based on 100% practicality... and I can assure you if your creation is furry, you've already lost... furry characters typically by design are impractical in modern day society.

So just lay off guys and enjoy the art you see here on FA. Sure you can have standards but harassing people over their character design and behavior is NOT cool.

So apparently there's this kick starter going that my mouse  Malkanis is getting behind. As I browse through the page I'm instantly reminded of games like the old Legend of Zelda Series for NES and Gameboy.

I think they said it somewhere on their website too that its much like the old Zelda Series as far as style... Computer is back up and running! Once I get a day or two off I'll be working on some artwork again! I'd like to thank Mister  tachikusanagi for his help in getting my computer running properly... it was a hibernation issue with Windows 8 we found out that was draining all my ram, which then ate up all my disk space, which caused the freezing while using graphics intensive programs. So we'll be back in business bit by bit this week and serious werk starting next week.
