Fur Reality
Posted 12 years agoWas at Fur Reality this past weekend, glad to see a con that was local for me considering it was a fifteen minute drive for myself on the highways. I got off work and headed straight there to get into registration; unfortunately for me registration was closed so I noticed the sign that it was on the second floor. I made it up to Con Operations and got myself registered. Being the first con in Cincinnati, my impression was that it was going to be a mess and sloppy but to my surprise it was not. Signs everywhere to point out the schedule and everything else. And since I paid as a sponsor I got cool stuff, yay new t-shirt.
Anyway I went to the artist alley and looked around at the various things that they had, checking out all the artists there. Commissioned a few items that day and met some new faces. Went out to eat with an artist and some others then came back for a hotel party which was basically a relaxing time. Noticing the choices of alcohol were slim I decided to bring out some of my own stock and stuff that I had not used in a while. Came back to the room and mixed a few drinks for them until I remembered that there was another party going on in the hotel that was showing off Labyrinth. So I went up to the room party and came back with my neon green container with alcohol.
Apparently furries do not know how to mix drinks at all or share them at least so I offered to mix a few of my drinks that I have made on my own time. Told them the ingredients and the name that I called them by. Total Party Kill and Thirst Quencher. Well I got a few people to try out the drinks like
crimsonred77 and
alkali_bismuth to be a few names that I can recall. I took a sip just to taste the drinks that I made and found them to be most pleasant. Got many compliments from everyone for making the drinks as I started to watch everyone going on with the festivities.
The next day I came around noon time and tried to find an artist that I got a commission from but did not find him that day. Got a few more commissions and had to leave because I volunteered to run a npc at a game. That part was fun but not going to tell it since it was not part of Fur Reality. So I left the con and ate and came back for more festivities there. Hung around the lobby of the hotel to watch people doodle and then wandered around the hotel to visit the same room that I went to serve a few drinks the previous night. Found out they needed to go to a liquor store so I hopped into the car they were getting and showed them the area around. Picked up the drinks and returned about 45 minutes later to find there were people gathered around the room and drinks were being served.
Being the paranoid driver I am, I declined the drinks and left the party silently to play some Furoticon. It was a fun game that
crimsonred77 hosted and glad that I got the chance to play the game. Anyway to make a long story short had fun, met people and had a blast. I hate writing about previous events so lets listen to music instead.

Attention for cool art
Posted 12 years agoWould like to give a shout out to someone that did a commission for me and is reasonable on prices as well as having no limits on drawing weird or crazy art.
ansil http://www.furaffinity.net/user/ansil/ If you go there much like my favorite artist right now Slug
slug Ansil is willing to work with you. However she also needs people willing to buy her art. Just try and get over there as soon as possible.

Dungeon Tiles and more
Posted 12 years agoI love making dungeons for my games that I run... However I am down to running one game at the moment and that is making me wanting and longing to run games for others but I am afraid that people are wanting to game less and less.
Oh well forget the notion of degenerative society, was looking to see if anyone would know of a dungeon making program that allows you to either print out the maps you make or is very basic at what it can do... like the old warcraft map editors. Now those things were fun and I guess I could go back and create a dungeon out of those... Hrm.

Art
Posted 12 years agoWhatever happened to all the horrific, gortastic, terrorliscious artists? Unfortunately I only know of slug, fishy boner, undead clown aaaaand that is about it. Trying to look for those that are not afraid to go beyond the normal means of art and not afraid to draw anything. I know there are limits for people however the best time of the year is coming up, something that is only on for a months time before christmas rolls around. Halloween! I want more horror and terror motiff art work to be shown. Or at least seeing costumes on characters.
Can anyone suggest other artists of the horror/dark to me?

Anyone up for...
Posted 12 years agoSo been wanting to do a commission of various things but first those out there watching me or trolling me, anyone want to get a picture commission with me sometime?
Wow... Next time just call.
Posted 12 years agoFeel like the world just crashed and I was the one being pointed fingers at. Oh well, at least I got my schnapps to take care of me and friends to talk to.
Time to get lost again
Posted 12 years agoGot an invite to a beta. Cannot discuss more than that as I will get lost in it more than likely and not be active that much. It is one of those games that I have been waiting for a while to be made and got a chance to actually be part of the experience.
Woot!
Woot!
A little depressed
Posted 12 years agoSo I am a little depressed right now and it is mainly because I have nothing really to do. I enjoy company and playing games and such in the presence of other people however today seems like everyone else has something to do or is working so I am stuck here alone.
I was originally going to a friends place but on my way there I got a call and told to wait because they wanted to avoid an awkward moment from someone that I told that I have no interest in. Guess I cannot win them all and that is why I am going to be getting stupidly drunk today in hopes that it can all be erased.
Yeah I know alcohol is not the answer to this but sometimes the bitterness of a drink is just needed to relax and make me less tense that what I am feeling today. My friend Dr. McGillicuddy and Jack will help me solve this problem while I sit here and play some games and take the numbness to a whole new level.

Breathe...

Or so it goes.

Long day
Posted 12 years agoHad a long day of work seeing too many things that I shouldn't describe... How I like being relaxed and not near criminals. So now it is time to play some video games and look around for artists and get ideas for my games that I run. Woot me.
Life goes...
Posted 12 years agoLast month I was so hyped up for an event that I have been going to every year around the same time of the year. I was so hyped up for it that I was counting down the days until I could get off work and relax... well relax my way which is being a runner and helping out various people at the event while holding mixed drinks that I made in my hand with no questions asked. Turns out that when I got to my vacation event it rained for about four out of seven days that I was there. It sucked a lot but I still had fun even when it was raining. Did not get to wear a few of my clothes that I packed because I was in a tent and even though you can prepare just about enough something always goes wrong.
Was very fun however it was depressing at times, only when it rained though. Then came home after court, during the wee hours of the morning. Was fun let me tell it. I slept most of the way down.
Anywho I am had a realization that I needed to write more and focus my thoughts on paper rather than have them waste away. So I am going to motivating myself to write more ideas down and finish the current projects I have going. Hopefully I could write about something furry or furry related.
We shall see.

Morphicon and other things
Posted 12 years agoSo I am here at work and my coworker called off because his house hold is sick. That sounds totally fun right? Nah not really since I am only on 4 hours of sleep and a bunch of coffee. Weeeheeee.
So headed to morphicon about two weeks ago and had a blast. Met people and hung around with
hysterium and
el3ctrophr34k for the majority. Got plenty of art that I commissioned and still some on the way in all various twisted forms. Talked to some of the staff at morphicon and managed to get in touch with some of them. Funny when you are stumbling around drunk as a skunk and no one knows it but when you see someone that is blitzed off their rocket and manages to upchuck their entire night... well it kinda makes you sober. Quickly.
Guess it is good training for Ragnarok for dagorhir in a months time. That is the next event I am excited for and waiting to go to. Anywho just wanted to post this and tell to anyone who reads this about the fun and exciting adventures I had.
Also still looking to get rid of some roleplaying books and magic the gathering cards to a good home(s).

Roleplaying
Posted 12 years agoSo no joke I love to roleplay. Whether it is on chats or on forums or in real life. I love to roleplay. I also like to write but roleplaying takes up most of my time. In fact I just got two new roleplaying books from the mail today. They look like good reads into the fictional settings that I have been running them in. [Palladium books]. I am spending a lot of money on my roleplaying habits and I am wondering if this is an obsession or if it is something that is healthy for me. My room is becoming stock piled with roleplaying books of all sorts. I collect old roleplaying games. You know those that are out of print?
So I doubt anyone is really going to post anything on this journal or really cares about what I have to say. So here comes a challenge by me, MalkavianPranks. I have a lot of roleplaying books that I don't need or want. Hell I have quite a few card games that I don't need. Giving away free stuff. Anyone want some books? Goes to a good home.

An Idea, challenge, whatever...
Posted 14 years agoI am not an artist that draws things however I have a lot of ideas that I want to get out of my head onto paper that can be seen physically. Too many images floating around in my head and too much reading up on old science fiction novels as well as reading up on my horror and gothic games. Wanting to put these ideas down like I have stated earlier. So I am asking friends, looking through FA and just being random on the artists that I am looking for that can draw creepy and disturbing images as well as some horror. Not all horror is about blood and gore but just disturbed beings or scenes.
Just want to put the shout out that I am looking for artists that are into the darker parts of life and like the setting... So anyone who has any knowledge or know of any just shoot me a message, email, tweet, whatever.
P.S.
I have high doubts that anyone will read or respond to this.
