Been working so hard with so little time up to this point.
To think we thought it was almost not going to happen when we awoke on the day of our flight to see delta canceled it and rebooked us for friday night. But we managed to work around to get earlier flights.

Flying is so much better with a boyfriend next to you <3
Orlando - Atlanta.. had like 3 hours to wait in ATL so had a stupidly expensive dinner at the TGIFridays. It was only 2 cocktails and an appetizer platter! I wish these airports had a sky tower accessible to visitors cause I want to see how enormous they are from up high.

From Atlanta to San Jose we were on a well populated flight of Furs. (There should be a find the furries in the terminal drinking game) Take a shot when you suspect a furry, take another when you confirm it, if they aren't a furry buy them a drink and tell them all about it.
Trivia with furs on a plane is great, thanks Delta for that. I won twice!
So arrived at the con at about 11pm.
Went up into our rooms right away to find the 4th floor is covered in plastic wrap... I still regret not throwing soap and water down the thing.
I also regret not drawing on it.

But yeah, that was the party floor. Thought the static shocks were hilarious.

After announcing my presence to a few of my buds I got ahold of Apollo so we could get me in his suit and tryout for dance comps at midnight. @_@ Man, dog suits are so much fun... screw this digigrade stuff! And just to have the chance to be a totally different character from MonsteRoo is fantastic.

Okay okay sooo don't really remember the order of events cause this is where I probably start Drinking. I'll just point out great moments of the con.

-KUIET KING'S KUP
Abbreviated to KKK cause Diggy can't play. Yeah this took place after party curfew hours or something... so we had to keep the noise down. (bullshitcon XD)
Wait was diggy there? I just imagine he was there for every kings cup.
I just remember I was sitting next to Skroy and Doryuu... Pokemon rule PIKACHHHUUUUU!!!

FC has got to be one of the best cons for options in dining. FWA is pretty awesome with its peach tree center. But there is some super delicious stuff in walking and open late too! I shall list a few.

-P'zza by Chicago [awesome delicious deepdish we got at 11pm just as it closed]
-Iguanas [super filling and savory burritos]
-Hydration [yummm and Boba Tea!]
-Johnny Rockets [classic burgers, great milkshakes]

Dash and I had a blast at this. Wow, did it get hot in there. If anyone has footage of MonsteRoo dancing on tables please send it my way! great time. Big Thanks to Dante for carrying our stuff and looking out for us. WATERRRRR.

-Dance Competition
Turned out to be quite a fun event! Great improvements from last year. I really wanted to try the freestyle cause I just love to improvise but I also really wanted the chance to do something completely new. So ever since Summer Olympics 2012 I really wanted to bring that to the dance floor. There was no way I could do it with Monster.. So Thank you So much Apollo, (I know I've said it about 50 times now) for giving me the chance and your suit to pull it off. Heres a clip of the magic that ensued. I love seeing everyone's reaction!

3rd Place! I got all tangled up in the end :P Was only my second time trying this stuff out in suit, was likely to happen at some point.
Congratz to Kyowe and Doryuu on the 1st and Second Place! And of course Apollo, Phor, and Telephone's spots in freestyle.

So looking at the past year's showcases I was really underestimating event. I thought it was going to be like all the other variety shows from cons. Wow, did they step it up this year. So many talented acts. I am so proud of Dash for pulling off the choreography we had put together in 3 days. The act turned out pretty damn adorable even with the few screw ups. The map scene totally failed! XD waiting on some good footage, so far all I've found was someone taping from real far back. Let us know if you've filmed us!


We also spent a day in San Francisco.
That was quite an adventure, very tiring, but so happy I got to go.
We survived through hobo town, it was like a break out of Arkham Asylum criminals. Was just odd, the city itself was so beautiful but so many lunatics shoveling around... one was literally dressed in a clown suit. Fortunately they all migrate to one section, once you cross over to Castro Street its nothing but attractive gay people and super expensive clothing stores. Had some awesome Indian curry, that wanted to show us how awesome it was even after we had digested it @_@ Seriously though it was delicious. Took a cab through the super steep streets to get to the golden gate. Loved the bridge. Wish I got to see the sunset though, but we were a bit late. Took the muni all the way back the Train station.
Crazy cool city, but not set on seeing it again.

IMAX DOME
Woah 0.0 So in that little science museum a block from the hotel theres an IMAX dome theater. WAS AWESSSSOOMMMEEEE!! We went there on Tuesday after everyone had left and we were waiting for our departure flight. If we ever go again, we gotta get more furries in on this.

Loved getting to meet my friends closer and also having my boy beside me and they could get to know us as a couple, finally.

I really didn't have plans to go to this con, I didn't know what to expect. There was so much love for every moment. Had some really special moments just in his arms. This has been a great way to start 2013, I have a feeling our paths are on a good path.

The new year is upon us. This is always my favorite holiday of the entire year, and I ALWAYS get my kiss.
This kiss will certainly be the best I've ever had.

Couldn't ask for much more, we've become just so close and what I've always wanted out of a boyfriend, a Partner.
He's my motivator and supporter. We've truly become an inseparable/unstoppable duo and team.

Okay so I've had lots of Movies to catch up and didn't want to see them without my Tiger.

Rise of the Guardians:
Man, I am so glad this didn't turn out to be a cheesy generic holiday movie.
It wasn't even about celebrating holidays.
It sent a pretty magical message about believing in things that make life just a bit lighter and easier.
It was also super creative in basically turning mythical characters in the justice league of sorts. I didn't disapprove of a single character, I was concerned they would've over glorified Santa Claus or something. Even a bit of darkness was added to this story as all the characters had their own back stories and past lives. There's quite the potential for a sequel I believe.

Highly recommend, besides Bunnymund is wonderful and such a perfect treat for any furry.

Life of Pi

It was told to read the book the moment my boyfriend and roommate saw trailers for it.
Couldn't put the book down once I got several chapters in. Definitely an awesome and unique story.
Sorry if I'm getting vague on this film but it really did the book justice.
The visuals really turned this film into the things you'll see in your dreams.
And the CGI.... wow, couldn't even tell the difference. It was so real.
And the meerkats... d'aaaawww.

Yeah.. sorry, this a bit late. but better late than never... in case any of you haven't seen this stuff yet.

This was my first year at MFF. I definitely had good days. And also had some blah days where I was just out of enthusiasm and physical energy. Honestly a big part of it had to do with the fact that I couldn't enjoy stuff because I didn't have Dashel around to enjoy it with me. Like every other moment was like, man he would love this, or wish he was here to make this just a little better.
I must say it now, its looking like a 10% chance I'll even want to go to FWA if I can manage it.
BUT WE ARE GOING TO OUR FIRST FURTHER CONFUSION!!

uhhh... oh yeah back to MFF.
So the stuff that was awesome. Dancer Furs have truly become such a strong family. Up to this point I am so grateful we 'seem' to get along so well and have very very low incidents of drama. The dance competition was such a big moment in where this thing is going. Participating this time I was honestly feeling a little blown out of the ranks, as in the talent we have now is far beyond my own. But then I also got some really nice comments from several of these people dancing right beside me. Telling me how they've really looked up the dedication myself and some of the other 'classics' have put into these shows.
So I'm no where near done yet. I'm coming up with new tricks up my sleeve!

I want to take this opportunity to share my experience with the event, my thanks to all who helped, and collect feedback on how it went.

Alright soooo... megaplex never comes at a good time of year for me. Many of you may know I work in the themepark industry so the Summer is the craziest time of the year where numbers are at their highest and I am crucially needed to be on staff. Seems I've been to a convention almost once a month as well so having time to plan ahead is tricky.
But above all I must show support for my Local events which is why I took the initiative to run, organize, host the dance competition for the second year. Every convention big and small really should have one. I think its great Megaplex can provide this to give more willing dancers the chance to have their first dance contest experience. I believe there were at least 11 out of the 15 that I've never seen dance in suit.

I arrived and set up open sign ups in the lobby at about noon. I had 15 slots and they filled up by 3pm. My apologies to those few that did not make the list as it was first come first serve. I'm happy that it has grown as I had anticipated so next year I shall make a preliminary event.

Hosting the event was quite stressful this time around. The major factor was the time I was being reminded every 6 minutes to hurry things along. So I apologize if things felt rushed. Next year we will be sure to schedule the event for maybe a 2 hour slot. I had to cut back on any extra I could. At one point the panel programmers had the audacity to ask if I could make the dances 1 minute long instead of 2... after half had already gone through. I may or may not have lost my polite words on them for a minute XD Can't recall.

So sorry, I intended there to be commentary from EACH judge. I wanted to make introductions longer. I wanted to give my own feedback and silly hosting antics. I wanted to treat the audience to an impromptu dance of my own. I wanted to have the traditional gathering back to the stage for free dancing while final scores were properly tallied and any last minute decisions could be made. Most of all... I would've liked to have watched all the dances myself. ._.

That all said let me take time to thank all that helped out.

Thank you to the 15 performers to who signed up, participated, and gave me such awesome cooperation. I had no issues with any of your track files, getting people out in time, people getting hurt (to my knowledge) Couldn't have asked for better.

Thank you to the Judges for giving kind words to each of the performers and scoring fairly.

I think I've thanked everyone I can think of. So if you guys have feedback I'd really appreciate any comments you have. How did you like our set-up? Audience on three sides, judges on the stage. I'm personally thinking of having Judges setup with the Audience (more like FWA) so the dancers are facing them more. Did the judges score fairly in your opinion? (I saw nearly none of the acts so I can't make any opinions myself) I didn't quite pick all the judges myself. I can always have more than 3 judges. How did you like my outfit? XD Any other feedback, go ahead and take this opportunity to tell me what you thought.

i saved (and still saving) money for a fullbody fursuit and i didnt really know which one i want aaaaand then i saw your Monster kangaroo (it is one am i right? cause i saw the symbol on the back). And y i dont know how to say but i kinda fell in love with that one and i want to "copy" it if its possible. And before i ever take a commission i wanted to ask you if it's okay to ahm... "copy" your suit (sounds kinda awkward doesnt it... :/ ). Well, i live in Germany so "your" community wont rly see me. But i think you know what i mean. So ahm... do you let me "copy" it? and if not, maybe i can change symbols, colors or anything like that? but it would be uber-awesome if i could copy 100% (:

I suggest you do your best to your abilities to change the design up. I don't mind if your suit is 'inspired' by MonsteRoo but for your own sake you should change the patterns and alter them so it isn't a replica.
I wont interrogate or harass you if you decide to copy MonsteRoo but I have no control over the many individuals apart of the fandom who do know of my work and will criticize any imitators just based upon appearances. Trust me this has happened before in a couple of cases.
And I wouldn't underestimate the fact that you live in Germany to make too much of a difference.
