Posted 13 years agoJust given a few updates.
I will be at Megaplex on Just Saturday to run and host the fursuit dance competition.
I've requested that the contest be on a floor this year, so no worries about small stages.
Songs can be up to 2 Minutes long.
There are no preliminaries, I will be in the lobby all day for who-ever wants to sign up. Have your track ready on a storage device (no ipods) so I can preview it.
1st Place gets two tickets to Universal Orlando :3 Courtesy of me.... >.> May have blockout dates*
The Judges will be looking for 3 things.
Creativity
Crowd Appreciation
and Technical Skill
Thats about it I think.
If you wanted to listen to my DJ Set from Confuzzled 2012 here is a dropbox link to hear it.

The Universe is a funny thing.
Posted 13 years agoA little Jewish boy was born on an American base in Germany and grew up in Maryland where he later attended University and met a Beautiful girl straight out of Peru and struggling with English but knew enough to apparently fall in love.
Their second child grew up in Florida and through what ever peculiar events discovered the furry subculture which he danced his way into. His portfolio of diverse performances did not go unnoticed and it brought upon an invitation to a convention he had never heard of on another continent.
By more improbable events this spunky mongoose would come to share drinks up until 4am with a most charming Australian enjoying his first convention at a hotel in the UK. Their paths would cross more over that weekend, then their paths would intentionally bump into each other and the Mongoose Prince couldn't be happier.
When I take a look at all the circumstances that have by all probabilities come together it results in me grinning through tears of how Lucky I am to have found... met.. collided with this amazing guy who makes me feel on cloud nine every time I speak to him.
I was on the path of believing love is just something that has to develop and grow and required patience.
No.
It just happened. It was just right. And not for one moment did I ever question if he loved me as much as I did him.
I love you Dash.
I can't wait til September.

Posted 13 years agoMangy's Anthrocon Recap
Posted 13 years agoSorry I haven’t made any time to write up a con report because I’ve been so busy with jumping right back into my job at night and working all other hours on that Editing that video together.
I must say, this was the best and craziest Anthrocon I have had yet. I was concerned because so many friends dropped out, but I made so many new ones, and then there were so many that I ran into that I realized were great people too. Thinking about it now I really underestimated how many amazing people I have gotten to know for the time I’ve been a part of this fandom.
I was also proud to really be myself this con… A crazy little alcoholic half-Peruvian Mongoose guy XD
Oh man, every night was just amazing. My Roommates were the best bunch of lunatics I could have hoped for.

We were like some awesome team of 5 that fights crime… Power Rangers..Spice Girls… Scooby and the Gang… I dunno. Some 5 person Rock band. Kumo will play the Drums. <ideas for badges next year XD> Damn, I hope I get a night off soon so we can all Tiny Chat.
Speaking of 5… those Maroon5’s oh man, such a good drink. Awesome to put in your Gatorade and just walk the floor and building that buzz. Oh yeah, if you ever saw me with my Gatorade, it never was Gatorade.
Do I sound like a total Boozing alcoholic yet? I love that fact that American conventions feel like they’re still in the prohibition era and every other hotel room becomes a crazy speak easy to indulge and get plastered.
Let me throw out some keywords that touch upon the wonders of what was experienced.
-Gibberish Duet to D’espairsRay (Doryuu and I look like Brothers sometimes)
-Edward Straightener Hands
- The Happiest Stroke ever. (Thanks Monty XD)
-Hammer to the Dick. Hammer Combo on Comet. Hammer Wig Nicki Minaj.
-Next level Cbat
-Crawling Nightmare Fuel
-Shiva Arms.
-Cathy's House Style Vogue Dancing
I’m sure there was more, but it really was great. I also recall walking into a couple of totally random room parties that left their door open. Their reaction to me was usually positive… except that room full of French guys :P I don’t blame them, I was wasted and followed in right behind them.
Anyways.. I’m not going to go into great detail about my drunken night shenanigans because I can’t quite remember all the details.
I might have the super power to be immune to hangovers though. Maybe its cause I stuck to only alcohol with containing vodka this time. Except that last night I had like 3 shots of straight rumplemintz.
Right now to all the dancing. I’m happy I got to get in on that Dance Cypher Friday afternoon. It was a real fantastic time. Stop playing so much Dub Step >:O Put some old school Salt n Pepa in there. Its crazy how much the dancers have grown and improved and I’ve grown up with all of them. I definitely have noticed it… wonder what the other dancers think of me.
The Floor Wars were fantastic too, it felt like it was for ourselves and not necessarily for the con. I was taking notes on some of the brilliant things occurring in that event, I’ve never done anything like that before.
The Rooftop Video. Thank you so much to those of you who showed up and endured it, trust me I was absolutely exhausted too if that wasn’t noticeable. I didn’t plan for us to be up there for so long. I’m am very happy and satisfied with what we’ve accomplished and how the video looks. I cant ask for much more. To those of you leaving comments like, “Last Years was Better” It has successfully discouraged me from making another one next year.
Dance Contest. I meant it when I said I was feeling old backstage. So much great new talent was here this year. I've been through so many of these. I can't lie I'm getting worn out. I was talking to Kwik and both of us weren't really feeling the drive as we used to... I dunno its exciting and crazy how much skill is now up there. I just hope it doesn't all become decided on that. I really wished EosFoxx could have made it into the finals, her stuff is certainly something different and wouldve been a real treat to see on stage. (Rather than a shepherd humping the judges table) A friend was talking to me about how the preliminaries battle is like a fight for just 8 spots because the other 12 are basically guaranteed to be grabbed by the veteran dancers. Several of us are seeing that too and its likely that we will opt to step out next year. I'm sorry if I've let anyone down. I hope to bring something back to the Masquerade at least.
Thanks for a wonderful memorable Anthrocon 2012.
Hope to see be back next year!

Anthrocon 2012 Rooftop Dance update!
Posted 13 years agoRemember this is not an Official event on the schedule. Kinda want to keep it that way as it stays somewhat under the radar and exclusive because I've got to be honest, I want people with enthusiasm to come. I don't want furs who just want to show up to get their suit in a video.
I want followers who have a passion and appreciation towards dancing to join in and make this video something great.
My goal is the blow last years video out of the water.
I've got two awesome camera men assisting me.
Mr. Oreo and Mr. Revit
We've got our time set.
Friday 6:00pm meet up at the rooftop. 6:30 we start production.
The song, Beastie Boys - Intergalactic
The theme. Dance crew battle. I expect there to be twice or 3x the participation this year. So when people jump in to dance for about 20 seconds at a time some will be doing it in groups of three just like the beastie boys were a group of three. All that will be assigned when we're up there. If you've got friends who would make awesome dance partners make sure they're with you.
Thats about as complex as it will get so don't worry about having to memorize any position or moves just bring your stuff. Fursuits only.
Above all else, we're going to have fun. Hopefully the weather will be good to us. It almost rained last year just as we got finished. In case that does happen we will likely reschedule on the spot so PLEASE try to get in contact with me. I post updates and reminders to my twitter. user/mangusu
Ahhh!! I'm so excited! See everyone there!

HOLY CRAP Long Confuzzled Journal is LONG
Posted 13 years agoThis has been an absolutely amazing experience and I am beyond grateful to everyone who was apart of making my experience in the UK something truly special. PCD is hitting me like a bitch right now as I'm typing this. I never once thought that making silly little routines while wearing an animal costume would get me this.
I knew nearly no one up until a month before the convention, I was getting nervous, stressed. Then I got there and was instantly charmed by the weather which was apparently a bizarre week of bliss after the country had been tormented by rain, rain and more rain. Fairlight drove us through many small villages and country on the way from Manchester airport to the hotel.
That hotel was fantastic and had such a great layout for a con of this size. The triumph bar was certainly a favorite hangout destination for me. The indoor pool/Jacuzzi/steam room/sauna was a nice plus too. My room was stunning I very much enjoyed it. I’ve never had the pleasure of using a towel heater before .
Let me use my conbook to try to recall the order of things. (Which impressed me right from the start. FWA is more than twice the size but doesn’t have one. Anthrocon is the largest in the world and their conbook is filled with quite a few embarrassing works and just not as organized.)
-Opening Ceremonies. Colson, and myself are kidnapped and driven in this really scary fast little car to a field. We get there and hear the chopper coming around the corner. They just cut the grass apparently which all suddenly picked up in a huge gust of awwww shhiiiiiit! He dashed behind the warehouse building and pressed against it like it was a war movie XD. After dusting all the debris off our back we got in and took off. Some of the furs who knew about this seemed to be under the impression that Colson and I were nervous about flying. No we thoroughly appreciated being taken up and seeing the gorgeous landscape. We simply had our reserves about arriving is such over-the-top grandiose style. It felt beyond pompous when we are personally humble and modest. Other than that little detail, it was very awesome to go up there. The pilot was quite the character too and tried to get me to steer the chopper.
-Meet the GoH. Some may have seen me dashing to this cause I was in fear of running late. I was out grabbing some much needed food in town. Gosh its so hard to find things when there are no signs anywhere XD. Had some subway which tasted just a tad fresher than ours back home, ate half my sub then got back with the other half in my hand. Sooo yeah, the panel was pretty short. I appreciate the questions we got, I could certainly sense a shyness in the room. Like people had stuff to ask but didn’t want to sound bad. I wanted to start asking Colson my own questions or even turn it on the audience and learn more about the British XD
-Colson’s concert. First time I got to see him perform. I was delighted, especially with the We Are Young song and especially impressed with Neo’s little interpretation of the Portal song. I was sure to give the guy a big hug when he got off the stage.
-My set, so Colson’s concert ran pretty late and I had to duck out early to get ready for my dj set. I hope everyone who was there enjoyed it, It looked like the crowd was really into it. I was actually getting concerned with how long some of the attendees to my set were energetically dancing in that room without leaving for some water and air XD I guess the fans did keep people extra cool. They certainly were impressive even if they got louder than the music at some points.
Friday night, more drinks! As an American it was just fantastic and crazy that we are allowed to walk freely with an open drink in our hand. Oh jeez, now I remember I was chatting til 4am before I remembered I had dancing panels at 11. I got back to my room and saw the sun rising at 4:30 and thought... Wuuut?
So Saturday started off with me clutching to 4 hours of sleep I got. I would have died without confuzzled’s supplied breakfast which was fantastic (with a little salt) I wonder why people kept saying British food was terrible because I had none the whole trip ^^’ Guess I got lucky? I was rather amused by everyone so surprised at how early I was awake and looking alive. I was also amused by everyone asking me how I enjoyed their ‘bacon’ XD Heres my opinion. Its not better or worse than American Bacon because its a totally different thing. You guys are simply serving a grilled slip of ham. Its like trying to say a smoothie is the same as a slushie. They’re similar but they’re too different to compare properly. So I’m just gonna smile and keep thinking bacon is simply the word you guys use for breakfast ham.
Dance panel – Great turn out! I hope I could help out the best I could. I’m not professional and I’m not an instructor so I apologize if I seemed pretty unorganized there.
Red Carpet video- I was blown away by how many furs showed up. Theres a lot of footage and its going to be tricky to squeeze everyone into one song. I also disappointed myself because I was going to do a take with me dancing the whole song just like I did for AC but I was in suit for so long and the running on 4 hours thing was getting to me. I felt that with such a big turnout we would have enough to work with to not need me. This video is all about you guys after all. Huge thanks to the staff for allowing us to use the red carpet in that room, it ended up staying in there for the rest of the con! Also props to Mikepaws and Kiyo for assisting. There was one more guy who offered his footage which I will be using, sorry if I forgot your name. Theres about 700 new people at that con that I’ve never met before ^^’
Fortunately the rest of that day had no other events I was required to go to. Had a good long nap. Also made repairs to MonsteRoo as usual XD. (one arm almost came completely off) Another night of drinking was to be had. Room parties were right next to me which was awesome. Nick and Lacy, you guys are wonderful and like you said, great to have a familiar friendly face. Shivon, oh you are the epitome of the word Best Bud XD I’d hop between the two parties and also have a little one in my room and watch silly youtube vids. Also I’m sorry I pissed in the bidet, but that was pretty hilarious XD. Someone was using my restroom and I really had to go! Augh and then there was that shot from hell. I don’t know what was funnier, my faces when I was trying desperately to keep it down like a final boss, or the face of the guy who gave me it cause he thought he just killed one of the GoHs. Really had a great time.
Sunday!
Got a very nice sleep and some more breakfast. Didn’t attend the parade but I was there on the floor watching it, just didn’t want to get the suits out when I had very important performances coming up.
Sponsor buffet! This was so much fun! I think it turned out great. The staff was more than great with getting me what I needed. The cutouts were hilarious. I’m really excited to watch all the performances once they get uploaded. Super duper thanks to Dash Tiger for being my personal support for the show.
In case you wanted to know.
Be Our Guest – Beauty and the Beast
Sweet Transvestite – Rocky Horror Picture Show
Hopelessly Devoted to You – Grease
Cell Block Tango – Chicago.
I was super happy with all my performances, but I think my personal favorite was Hopelessly Devoted to You. The Moment I punched the Terminator cutout was so on spot.
The funniest part is, thats the one I rehearsed the least. The one I rehearsed the most I was the one I had the most mess ups XP (Cell Block Tango)
Thank you every sponsor that attended. I sat back there for a while in glow of delight to how much fun the performances were. Then Dash and I realized that Kage had been on stage and talking for the past 10 minutes. There was no way I could stay back there, I had places to be! I thought it was rather Ironic interrupting him while he was talking about airports and we were holding two huge suitcases and I had a vacation to Fhloston Paradise shirt on. Gave my fellow American a Salute and we scampered away. (Score, upstaged Kage)
Soon to come was the dance competition. Wow.
Wow wow wow wow wow. I’m sure you guys know how I felt about it. As for everyone back home. Wow wow wow wow. There is a whole ‘nother pool of talent over there that blew my mind. And just about all the song choices were great too. I loved every moment of it. I was concerned that there were only 8 acts but more than impressed with everyone that participated. Great set up too. Damnit.. Kiyo, Zak, Tygs, Tre. You’re not going to hear the end of this. Now I’m sure once all the footage from the event comes out everyones gonna start saying, ‘Don’t pull a Mangy’ when referring to getting choked up with tears in public. Inspirational. All the other acts too were amazing, Neo and Eoss really impressed me too with all their acts, just so much heart was in them.
If any of the dancers would like a through critique from me send a note and I’ll write somethin up.
Fellow judges Colson and Fox Amoore were great company too. Its definitely a good idea to have musically inclined individuals watching an event that relies on rhythm.
Got to taste Indian food for the first time soon after that. It was soooo good. Man and our motley crue in that van. You guys were crazy characters. The shit Ani and Tygs were saying cracked me up XD Snuggle bunny you are just WACKY. Kiyo and Zak, you guys felt like brothers I never had from the beginning. So many people were awesome, I can’t remember all the names.
Got back full of delicious eats. Sat in the auction for a little bit to let it settle. Thank you to whoever purchased the autographed conbook for 70£. 100% of that one went to the charity.
Chilled in my room a bit more since I could use a relax. Dash showed me some of the entertainment on the BBC till I was ready for one more night of partay. Got the courage to suit up just once more and goofed around. I felt bad that lots of people never got a proper picture with me so I hope I got to some of you who wanted one. Spent most of the night with my head off in the Triumph bar. Drank a whole pitcher of the Woof Woof that Zen got for me. So I was getting pretty loopy XD. I remember screaming somebody that I used to know into Dash’s ear just like Kimbra does in the video. Also pretend table flipping.... and stealthily stealing Ani’s beer. Then getting out of suit and coming back with a warm beer I hid behind a chair. Good times good times.
Monday it was time to leave the hotel and eventually make my way for a day in London with Mikepaws. I really appreciate everyone who came up and said goodbye. All of you were wonderful, truly. Got to London after after a few trains. Got to Mike’s flat, got some local authentic cod with chips and chatted up the Chinese man. Delicious. When it comes to food, the hardest thing for an American to get used to is probably the no-free refill thing; especially when all your soft drinks taste so much better with the real sugar. We just gulp it down like a fish. Early night rest and we’d be up for a day in the city.
Once again, big props to Mikepaws for showing me around, you really know your city. I really did love the sites, some more than others. I hope he wasn’t off put by my joking remarks on a few of the monuments. (Buckingham needs more eleganza if it wants to be called a Palace) Loved seeing the crown jewels in person, made 3 trips to peer at their shiny glory. Armory was super neat too. The whole day in London was wonderful, we kept making the joke that everything was being cleaned up just for my visit since the Diamond Jubilee is coming about. But really, how fortunate I was to experience the entire capitol in top shape. God save the Queen :)
Also, you guys don’t eat pizza right XD, I don’t care if the restaurant was a little fancy. So had to pretty much go directly to my overnight train. Quite a fiasco when you have two huge bags full of fursuits. Thanks for trying to help mike but I just couldn’t read your lips through the window. Must’ve been your accent. You should’ve just popped on for a minute anyways, there were never any guards around.
The wait at 1am to get my boarding pass at 7am was absolutely awful. Flight back was marvelous, Virgin Atlantic is the best Airline I’ve ever flown.
I’m going to really miss you guys. It was overall the greatest experience of my life to be there. I’m gonna start saving up to make it next year and stay longer now that I know so many of ya now. I can’t be gracious enough to have this opportunity especially at 23 years old. Everyone who was at Confuzzled, accept my Sincerest Thank You for welcoming me and showing me a great time in your convention and your country.
Sashay'ed away, be back on the 30th
Posted 13 years agoOff I go across the pond.
I've fashioned myself a cobble stone like craft and the Hulk is going to hurl me and skip me across the Atlantic all the way to Great Britain.
Take care everyone! I know I'm going to have a blast at Confuzzled.

Confuzzled Con Meme
Posted 13 years agoWhere are you staying?
Where ever they decided to put me XP
Hopefully not a dungeon, you guys have an abundance of those I hear.
What day are you getting there?
Flight lands Thursday morning.
Who will you be with?
All by my lonesome ._.
But that means I'll just have to make sure I always have COMPANY!
Do you do free art or trades?
I'm not very capable of that but if you give me a pen I can doodle something silly XP
Do you do commissions/badges?
I wont have any art supplies and absolutely no time to make anything of quality. We may be able to set up a commission if you REALLY want. I haven't been in a art mood for a LONG while now.
Do you have prints/CDs?
nope.
Do you have art in the art show?
I could strike a silly pose and pretend to be a statue for a while til someone purchases me and takes me home XP.
What suit(s) will you have?
MonsteRoo and debuting Mangusu
Can I dance with you?
Okay this part I'm going to have to be honest about because I actually have received many requests to actually meet people on the dance floor. With all the panels I'm apart of I will be exhausted by the end of each day. There is 20% chance I will actually find my way on the dance floor. Maybe if I'm drunk enough to forget any fatigue I can be persuaded to dance like a goof. But I just don't want to get anyone's hopes up that I will personally get a chance to dance one on one. But be sure to attend my Dance tips panel where I will be happy to assist people in person.
What is your gender?
Dont let the hip shaking fool you, I'm a dude.
How old are you?
23
How tall are you?
5'7"
Are you mated? in a relationship?
Yes and I shall miss him back home T_T<3
Can I touch you?
I don't have a problem with it as long as you don't smell funky.
Can I talk to you?
I'd love to chat!
Can I hug you?
Of course, I'm real friendly.
Can I take photos of you/with you?
Catch me if you can!
Can I buy you lots of drinks?
yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes
Do you drink Alcohol/Smoke?
I do drink, and am not afraid to admit I'm a light weight at it XP Smoking I don't care for though.
Can I give you lots of money?
Handing a stranger money is just suspicious, you're better off converting currency into gifts if you really feel the need to give me something.
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
Didn't I already answer this? Snuggle sounds pretty intimate, I'd hold back on that option.
Can we hang out?
We can chat a bit and in the night I hope to visit many room parties but I'm sure I'll be busy very much in the day. I'll try my best to spread my attention to everyone.
Are you nice?
I'm probably too naive to ever be mean.
Where will you be most of the time during the con?
Likely in events.
Other cons you may go to?
Likely to be at Anthrocon in June.
Who are you rooming with?
All by me-self.
Attending any events?
About 5 or 6 of them I think... maybe more @_@
How can I find you at the con?
I'm not the best for answering that question but see if my name pops up under any events on the schedule. Oh and Twitter. That would be most helpful provided there will be wifi.

Planning/Brainstorming Anthrocon 2012 RoofTop Dance Video
Posted 13 years agoH'alright, so I've been really focused on Confuzzled therefore have had hardly any time to make plans for Anthrocon.
The Roof top video last year was loads of fun and a great success.
0r30 volunteered to film it this time!
Not quite sure of the day and time to do it. Was hoping 5pm onnnnn Friday?
I tried checking Anthrocon.org for their event schedule and it aint there. ._.
We'll work it out though.
If you haven't already follow me on twitter '@mangusu' so you can get updates during the con.
Haven't finalized a song yet, I'd like input on this. Throw in as many suggestions as you can. I'm really looking for upbeat, a party jam. Missy Elliott does those great but I don't want to repeat ourselves.
One idea was to do Intergalactic - Beastie Boys.
We'd throw in bits where everyone would pose on queue and it would look brilliant.
So speak up!

The Trouble with Portraying a Character.
Posted 13 years agoI was having a thorough discussion.
I want to start with this statement.
The man playing Captain Hook isn't actually an Asshole.
MonsteRoo is a character, a character with a big Ego. He's inspired by Missy Elliott and other 'come at me' personalities.
If I ever came off to someone as a dick, please accept my sincere apology. MonsteRoo is only a character, hopefully if you ever met me while I suited Tac you could tell I was pulling an act. I've only had the intention of bringing an interesting and out of the ordinary character to life.
I've actually been concerned for quite some time if the Autograph gag at the FWA Dance Competition reflected on my own personality. There may have been a confusion or assumption that I was promoting my arrogance when its really a MonsteRoo thing. It was an idea I came up with that very day, walked down to the UPS store and spent money on 10 cheap colored copies of the suit. Bought a silver marker at the dealers den, and made up a signature for MonsteRoo.
Heres the issue when it comes to fursuiting in the fandom.
We do it for our own fun, and we're free to do this. Its great.
We just don't have guidelines.
Some of us do it to perform.
Some of us fursuit to express ourselves.
Some of us use suiting as a gateway.
Hey, some people are just dicks wearing an animal costume.
How can we be sure who is in it for their own comfort or just for fun?
I just want it known that I've always upheld my suiting as a character portrayal.
I don't do any of this for the attention.
I don't do it for the competition.
My only aspiration in the fandom is to contribute exciting content, and to have fun
I've met so many amazing individuals through here. I wont turn my back on it as stressful it can be at times.

Mostly gay.
5. Are you single, taken, or undecided?

7. What's your job?
Shift Lead for Merchandise at Universal Orlando's CityWalk
8. What's one thing you like about yourself?
I'm forgiving and not afraid to promptly admit my mistakes.
9. Alright, now what about something you dislike about yourself?
I might be over criticizing on myself...also the fact that I can't speak Spanish as much as I've tried and as much as I'm expected to know.
10. What's some things your friends noticed about you when they first met you?
They noticed they weren't sure what breed of human I was XP Then they also probably noticed I've got dah moves :0
Good! Hold on, coming up on some deeper questions now... ready?
11. Of what faith/religion are you(if any)?
I don't practice any rituals but I have a belief towards Karma. I comment often that I'm part Jewish but it was always treated as a culture more than a Religion for myself.
12. Do you drink?
Yes, and I'm not afraid to admit I can be quite the Light-weight. So I have to watch myself XD
13. Do you smoke?
I'm no fan of clogging my lungs, especially with the high cardio activities I do. I have done hookah on occasion for the great social bonding that it is.

Eggplant
24. Quick! You have only one meal left before you die!!! What is it?

It would probably be a juicy and tender chicken parmigiana with pasta and french bread.
25. What do you drive/wish you drove?
I'm the worst at distinguishing cars, so all I can wish for is a pretty looking luxury car that can play all my music.
Last 5 questions. You're in the homestretch, come on, you can make it! Lets see what gets under your skin.
26. Most disliked bug?
Freaky spiders with very defined appendages. You know like the kind that just have the most sinister legs that they spread wide rather than tuck close. Oh jeez, and if I see a spider egg, I get the fire.

14. What are your fears?
Spiders just make me uncomfortable. Death is what scares me above all else.
15. What are your dreams/goals?
I want to live comfortable, stable, loved, and travel somewhere once a year, also to experience as many different Cirque du Soleil shows as I can.
16.Ever had any crushes/ex's in the past/present?
I'd say I've had an average number of relationships
Almost done!!! Time for some lighter topics now :D
17. Who's your best bud?
mogthemeerkat Is my fellow Mongoose of Mayhem, we talk and share about everything. 18. Alright, you got the cravin' for munchies, what'cha reachin' for?
CHEEEEEEEESE on club crackers.
19. Favorite drink?
Inca Kola!
Alcoholic: I was once served a white russian that substituted the cream for vanilla ice cream. There were fond memories behind that drink.
20. Favorite color?
Which ever color looks best on me.
21. If you had any super power, what would it be?
I always though phasing through matter was super cool yet more subtle
22. Favorite movie?
THE FIFTH ELEMENT
23. Least favorite food?
Eggplant
24. Quick! You have only one meal left before you die!!! What is it?
An everlasting gobstopper! HAHA! I cannot die now as long as I keep sucking and sucking and sucking... XD
27. Most hated pet peeves?
People with uni-brows. I don't care if they have cyclops genes, just pluck a few hairs and you've fixed yourself into looking like a more intelligent individual.
28. Dislike in life?
Selfish, Sociopaths, Arrogance, Stubborn Ignorance, unclassy promiscuity
29. Most annoying?
The obnoxiously flamboyant
30. Most disliked TV show?
Its hard to come to dislike a show unless you're forced to be in that show's presence. Why would I watch something just for the purpose of complaining about it when I have the freedom to change the channel? so the only thing that applies here would be everything on ESPN because thats what my work cafe leaves on 80% of the time
Looking for Room at Anthrocon
Posted 13 years agoThis Mongoose has kinda slacked and been pre-occupied with other cons so much that I've forgotten about AC.
Sooo does anyone have 'Westin' room space at Anthrocon 2012?
Thursday through Monday morning.
I'm quite organized and I take plenty of showers :3
Also, I don't snore!

Movie Reviewww -Hunger Games
Posted 13 years agoSpoilers..
Saw Hunger Games last Saturday with
zelldragon
First thing to keep into consideration. I never read the book. I never heard about this thing until it came out.
So I don't know what may have been left out of the film.
Overall I thought the movie was good but could have been so much better. I felt that either the author was taking an easy route or was just trying her best to keep the film PG-13 by not exploring some of the darker situations and conflicts that were possible.
I mean its a plot involving a death game between children.
Of course the first thing that came to my mind was the movie Battle Royale.
A twisted japanese movie of a class of kids who are suddenly forced to kill each other.
Theres so much betrayal, suicide, grudges that can be carried out, and just plain psycho characters.
The characters in Battle Royale all knew each other.
The district kids in HungerGames were isolated from each other... the most contact they had was during training, the movie should have made more of an effort for the kids to interact and develop relationships which they would have to tear down during the tournament. Rather then spend half the movie just showing off colorful drag costumes of Capital City.
(They were very artistic but really... this isn't a fashion show)
I will forgive the author for ripping of Battle Royale.. i mean that movie came out so long ago and not much of Mainstream population knows of its existence. She also put in a few twists to change it up.
Heres the real part that bugged me.
And I admit, I didn't realize it till the end.
Mostly because once they killed Rue my emotions got sent through a bit of a loop before I took into consideration what the main character had to endure.... sorry I actually forgot her name.
Okay side track on Rue.
That was super sad, I cried... really good score for that scene too. I lost it when she put the flowers on her and then they showed Rue's father break down.
Back to what went wrong.
(looking up main character's name.... Katniss... okay, I know it sounded Cat Nip or Cat Piss)
So I was excited to see this apparently strong character become stronger. She had the bravery to volunteer in place of her sister... but when it came to the tournament she never had to face any more really hard decisions.
She lucked out the whole way.
From the minute she got on the field she was already at an advantage, it was a fuckin forest like she grew up in. They could've thrown in several environments to make it more interesting, they did build the whole field.
Take a look at every kill she made, all in self-defense. She never attacked first. Everyone she did kill was pretty evil. Its not like she was startled by one of those 12 year old tributes and killed an innocent child by reflex. I thought Rue was going to turn out to be a devious rogue and back stab her because shes little and thats unexpected. What was Rue's advantage anyways other than herbal/medical/foraging knowledge?
That final moment when they did attempt suicide would've been a pretty dark ending. They let the audience get off easy with the decision not to end it all there. But you know... gotta make sequels.
I was also upset that Effie let me down by not being some wicked Dolores Umbridge like character. Her costume looked like a hell bringer but it turned out to just be a typical Capital city wardrobe. I though she was to be super cold-souled but was really kind of just whining a slight comic relief.
Anyways... was still a good movie, good directing and art and music. Just the details of the story could've been better.
Go see it, but you should also get your hands on a copy of Battle Royale so you can experience how to properly portray a twisted free-for-all between children.

My Experience at FWA's Fursuit Dance Competition!!
Posted 13 years agoI may give a overall con report later.
Every year. Better than the last.
If you didn't get to see it, this is the best video out so far. Real close to the action and you can catch all the reactions of the judges too.
Talent was insane, the event holder had to extend from 15 dancers to 21 because there was just some great talent they couldn't cut.
With the extra dancers however the judges were asked to limit any commentary to one per dancer.
If you were one of the dancers and would like a critique, I would be honored to offer one in a Note, you all dI eserve it.
As a judge it was enjoying to be right there infront of the dancers, definitely a very exciting experience. However I missed all my dancers T_T I felt so separated from the shenanigans we always pull when we're together. The energy would always flow amongst us.
The other judges were great company too atleast :3
I tried to make the most of my position by incorporating a few silly gags.
One gag consisted of handing out autographed copies of MonsteRoo. I think some people took those a little too seriously D:
There were some scary obsessed fan faces out there for some 99 cent copies I got at the UPS store that morning and thought of a signature later in my hotel room.
The results of the contest were
Kendi (kwik)
Phor
Bit (skroy)
Personally I had a slightly different line up and it came extremely close. The judging was made based on 5 points for skill, and 5 for crowd. I believe it was that crowd pleaser point that decided the final outcome. Next year I think we will actually have another column made for creativity as by my suggestion.
I was rather unsatisfied when it came to my own exhibition dance.
Perhaps I'm just too hard on myself, but also I'm getting so frustrated at the restraints the MonsteRoo suit puts on myself.
I'm going to get on track and try to build Mangusu before confuzzled.
KEEP ON DANCING!!

Within the fandom, what celebrity would I most reflect?
Posted 13 years agoI tend to be modest and withdrawn from how many people know my name.
But I can't deny that lots of the fandom knows of me... or at least my name by now.
(...also the internet dictionary needs to recognize 'fandom' as a word so I don't have to see it red lined by auto-correction software any more. )
Anywho..
I'm bored today. And I'm in a rather social mood.
Lets get some talkin'
Just for fun.
What mainstream media celebrity would you compare me to in perspective of the furry fandom?
Like... would you say I am the Fandom's Madonna? Gaga? Rupaul?
I've heard people say I'm the Furry Michael Jackson, but honestly
kwik has the MJ spot.
What do you think of some of the other well known furs/suits out there?
Are there some real controversial ones? :X Who is the furry Lindsay Lohan spiraling out of control?
Is Uncle Kage likesenator palpatine... I mean.. The Pope?
Go on, give your word, lets have fun with this. :3
I'm curious.

How things have been going.
Posted 13 years agoThings have been pretty busy but swell.
I'd like to personally thank everyone for their watches as I had done in the past. But unfortunately I haven't kept up and its been more frequent than it was before. So I'm sorry I haven't been able to leave a shout on your page if you have watched me lately.... in the past 6 months I think.
Lately I've been pretty addicted to The Old Republic.
I play mostly on Sith Wyrm as a Jedi Sage named Plavalaguna in case you're on that server.
Bonus points if you know where the name comes from.
Getting back into my workout routine, going 4 days a week.
Heres some good movies and shows you should check out if you haven't seen em yet.
-Midnight in Paris
Owen Wilson plays a not so obnoxious character for once and finds himself meeting famous 1920s icons of art movements. I liked all the quirkiness and good lines. Your typical Woody Allen movie of colorful characters. Came out in summer 2011
-Chronicle
Exciting, creative. I love super hero movies, especially one that feels like this one. Had that same feel that Heroes had of mundane people discovering their super natural abilities.
-The Artist
Its a Silent Film. But it came out last year. It was different and interesting. A theme of out with the old in with the new.
-United States of Tara
TV drama of a suburban mother with multiple personalities. Its interesting how sometimes her alters screw up a day or fix it. Usually Screw it up though :/ I'm into season 2.
-Rupaul's Drag Race.
GURL if you aint watchin it by now than you have been missing out. The most ENTERTAINING show on all of television. You can check all of it out on Logotv.com Maybe you can learn a thing or too about costumed personality performing. No but really, drag queens are hilarious bitches.
-Reaper
Its on netflix, its by Kevin Smith. Its goofy. Its like... ghostbusters meets kevin smith.
-The Lorax
Not out yet, but I'm really excited to see it. Being a Universal Employee I may be able to screen it before it comes out. Eeee, I'll let you know how it goes!
Working on all the planned performances at upcoming cons.
FWA:
Judge Dance Competition/ Give performance.
I hope I can pull it off, I have to sit around in suit for the whole thing until I have a chance to do my stuff on the floor.
I'm really excited for all the dancers who will attempt to bring it to this year's competition! FWA is my favorite fursuit dance competition from any others I've seen or been in.
-Its on a hardwood dance floor so its optimal for all your moves.
-Everyone sits around the dancers so you can explore all your ground to show off on. Also you may even get different angle video footage from spectators with cameras.
-Its not on a stage, no fear in falling off the edge. (not that I ever had a problem)
-Dances are limited to 90 seconds. Perfect for keeping it high energy for the whole set.
I'm also holding a Fursuit Dance tips panel this year.
I've got a few key points in mind, but really I'm just gonna wing it on the basics of what I can teach anyone seeking advice to fursuit dancing.
There may also be a music video in the making for this con.... if we get things together.>.>
Confuzzled:
Man... Its pretty overwhelming but I know I'm going to have the time of my life.
I hope someone will always be around to document stuff because with like 5 different performances theres going to be so much footage to come out of the con just from me.
For the dance comp I think I'll do Americano by Gaga.
Still thinking of musical songs for the Sponsors Buffet, but I've decided so far on Hopelessly Devoted to You, Cell Block Tango, Sweet Transvestite, and Be Our Guest. I think one more will make me satisfied. Something perky.
We've got a music video to make there as well. "Do your thing" by basement jaxx.
Oh and I've got a duet sing and dance set to Moves like Jagger... I hope you guys don't hate that song from being overplayed on the radio yet.
