Hello everyone!

Today, Michael/Bean released his first game as an official, full-time indie game developer. It's called BasketBalle. It's experimental. It was a finalist at IndieCade (the "Sundance of Game Devleopment"). It's very weird.

I've been watching him pour his heart and soul and talent into this game for almost a year and a half. It is beautiful, if completely oddball, and I am so incredibly proud of him.

The game is $4.99, so if anyone wants a fun, encouraging way to say thanks for the AC pictures, or just show your appreciation of people living their dream, I'd love it if you could check it out, or even just spread the word to people you know who might be interested in crazy, unique games.

NOTES: This is pretty optional, but we've got a few photographers who offered to take individual shots of suits, and thought it would be a fun way to start to rustle people up before the big group shoot.

There seems to be a 2:1 preference for the black t-shirt with gold design (this one) over the rust with black (this one). So we will be getting that, and in men's/neutral sizes only.

Total cost per shirt is going to be $10 (yay group discount) plus shipping if you are not at AC.

In preparation for AC, I have been designing Clockwork Creature t-shirts so we can all band together and show our CC colors!

T-shirts will either be rust with black design, or black with orangey/gold design. The front will have the clockwork creature logo, and the back will say "CLOCKWORK CREATURE". Please specify which you'd prefer, but ultimately we'll only get either one or the other. So, if you ONLY want a shirt if it's black on rust, write that down, and know that you might not get a shirt if we decide on black w/ goldorange.

If we can get our order up to 30 shirts, they will be $12 each, if we can get to 15, they will be $15 dollars each.

3) Does anyone know of any games similar to Endless Forest but that are browser based or at least cross platform?

The game I made with my then friend now more-than-that duder is up for the Best of Interactive Art / Experimental in the Casual Gameplay competition. It would mean the world to me if you could give us a vote.

This is after 20 minutes from standing up, with no previous experience whatsoever on stilts.

You'll notice I have a bit of a limp - that's thanks to be short. The thigh pads dug into my crotch and gave me a pretty nasty bruise, but it's an easy fix as soon as I can find someone who can drill through the material.

My digitigrade stilts from Area51 (Formerly Weta + Kim Graham) arrived today!

I was able to get walking within about 15 minutes of standing up, though am still terribly far from proficient. I can't stand, and I can't even imagine attempting to do all of this in a fursuit.

It's going to take some tweaking and adjustments, but I figure I've got until FC :D

I'll post a full review and hysterical videos of my first attempts at walking soon.

Okay so this is weird.

I would love to show off the Moon Dragon and Alcyone at FC, but all of my friends are East Coasties, and consequently I have 0 people available who will walk around with me making sure people don't pull my tail and that I don't fall on my face (which is important, right?).

SO. If anyone would like to wander around with me, I can offer you at least a free dinner and possibly a good dose of friendship and interesting stories :)

I would probably only be around Saturday, so it wouldn't be a long investment or anything.

Next Tuesday I will be catching a plane in Cleveland that takes me across the Atlantic ocean and over to England to start a three month European tour. I will be In the UK, in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Holland Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Monoco, Luxembourg, Italy, Greece, Turkey and probably several others. If you are thereabouts (Rin! Alector!) then I would love to meet up and say and get coffee or tea or chocolate.

TO THOSE PEOPLE I HAVE COMMISSIONED: Most of you I have gotten in touch with about going away and have paid off commission money for. I think I only have two outstanding projects where we're doing increment pay. Fund transfers will be interesting whilst I am abroad, and admittedly might not happen until I return. Please have no fear :) You can check my roster and ask any of my past commissionees - I've never copped out of a payment. It's just going to take time.

I just learned that my iPhone game, Tipoli, was featured by Apple on the "New and Noteworthy" list. :D That means that if anyone goes into iTunes and clicks on the "Games" tab, Tipoli will appear right at the top of the front page.

This is absolutely the best advertising any game can hope for, and fuck, I worked eight months on this game, putting my heart and soul into it. It was released almost two months ago and didn't make much of a splash at all; I was bummed, but not entirely disheartened. Still, getting featured is a guaranteed enormous sales bump - it's exposure, publicity, it's letting more people see what I spent so much effort creating.

I could not be happier right now :)

I don't normally post journals. They scare me. BUT I need help.

I'm a producer/designer at a little game company and we've got an experimental, abstract game in the works. It's been submitted to the Experimental Gameplay session at GDC, but unfortunately our publisher just backed out of the deal last minute, so it looks like, if we want to release around GDC, we're going to have to self publish. This means that all of the Q/A is suddenly on my shoulders.

SO!

The long and short of it is, I need playtesters!

Now, I know everyone thinks playtesting is the 'dream job' or what not, but I'm looking for people who will seriously playtest. That means putting at least an hour or two into actually playing the game (not picking it up for five/ten minutes) and filling out a questionnaire about the game and your experience with it. If you want to be a goldstar playtester, I'd ask you to actually keep a 'play diary' for about a week and tell me how often you play it, and in which modes, and so on.

Requirements:
Must have a PC
