Calling All Artists!
Posted 10 years agoHello everyone! Long time since I have been around, I know! I've actually been very busy moving and starting a sex-positive blog! It covers all kinds of topics such as the furry fandom and autism and sex.
Why am I bringing this up now? Well I'm hoping to start a new segment called "An Artist's Story". I'd like to spotlight all sorts of artists from the fandom, both adult and SFW.
I want to be clear that the article is not a review or an opinion piece, nothing will go live without the artists full approval. I am just interested in your story and I think others will be to!
If you are interested, or know someone that might be interested, either let me know or fill out the form here: http://www.blog.carnalchameleon.com.....g-all-artists/

Another attempt at drawing
Posted 15 years agoThought I was ready to try my paw at drawing again, so I fired up the tablet and attempted to do a Cheetah. I used a photograph for a reference and it was going pretty good, I could defiantly see some improvement. However when I got to the inking stage I realized my sketch lines weren't very accurate and it started to fall apart. I put it in scraps for now.

I think I just need to practice my sketching more.. get the lines more defined...

Where have I been??
Posted 15 years agoI haven't been around for a year! Wow! Well it's good to be back and its awesome going through a lot of the great artwork I've missed over the year. So what have I been up to? Mostly just that RL stuff, Selenity and I are still together, living in our house in Ithaca new york.. I have the same job, though my responsibilities have changed somewhat (working more on the mobile end of things now) Also working very slowly towards getting a small business started for some of my interactive mobile games and apps (GreenSkunkGames ofcourse) anyway I probably won't have much to offer art wise much more as most of my work falls under non-furry category but in any case it's good to be back and I hope to catch up with you all soon. I have updated my contact information with the most recent information so you should be able to get a hold of me there if not here. *hugs* -Max

Back from NYC, Atlantic City and Philly
Posted 17 years agoOriginally for our Aniversery, I was going to take Mary
desertrosemas up to Toronto to see the new Dirty Dancing musical. As it turned out Sarah had two tickets to see Lion King in NY that she was willing to sell to us. So we took the opportunity and instead taking a trip to NY.(Thanks Sarah!) This is a tale of 3 cities, 3 days, a musical, a shot transmission, and a fallen construction crane...
Mary and I left Friday afternoon for the 4 hour trip to Haddonfield NJ. The drive was mostly incidental... that is until I took the wrong exit and ended up in the bad part of north filly with no transmission. Well ok so at least I had first gear. Which was barely enough to keep me alive on the NJ Turnpike during rush hour. (Hey they aim for you when you have a NY plate, Trust me!)
After arriving and meeting up with Marianna (My awesome Russian co-worker) We all took a train to Philly to enjoy some jazz and some much deserved food. Saturday was a bit of a rush, the train from Haddonfeild takes about 3 hours to get into New York City, and the play starts 2 two. We had it planned out to arrive about an hour and a half earlier, only we couldn't make one of the connecting trains and were forced to spend that hour waiting for the next train. The scene when Mary and I arrived at Penn station and hurriedly rushed to hail a taxi, resembled a movie I have seen but can't recall the name of. To make an already long story short we arrived just in time for the musical (Though regrettably we left a mother and child in our Dust, Sorry! Hope you made it)
The Lion King was amazing, if you haven't seen it, see it, even if you don't like musicals, its literally breath taking and the way they portray the characters (being anthro characters) was unique and very enjoyable. After the Musical the reality check set in as we received calls from both our parents wondering if we were ok. Apparently a few blocks down a construction crane had fallen and crushed a building, Killing at least four. When Mary and I looked in the distance of 51st street, we saw a very eery site indeed. An almost innocent looking tower, precariously lying against a building. A picture can be found on my picture site (URL given at bottom of page)
Then later that evening I managed to snap one of my favorite pictures of Mary which can be found in my gallery.
The next day was Atlantic city, Now I'm not one for gambling or any of that so our main goal in going was to show Mary the ocean for her first time. I had a good time picking up Mary and chasing the waves threatning to throw her in. Later Mary and I decided it would be a shame to come all this way to Atlantic city and not gamble atleast once, so we split a ten dollar bill which we dumped into a slot machine of each of ours choice, and then promptly lost each 5 dollars with a single button press... I don't understand gambling. I used to be in trouble for spending 5 dollars in an Arcade when I was younger, but dang atleast with 5 dollars in an arcade you press a button more than ONCE. And it actually is entertaining, not depressing.
By this time, as you can imagine Mary and I were very exhausted, and so began our 4 hour drive back home which again was mostly uneventful until the freak snow storm in PA. But all ended well and it's safe to say this was one of the best, all be it shorter vacations I have had.

Blazing Wing Challange and Stupidity
Posted 18 years agoI have always considered myself reasonably smart, and by that I mean I was always able to avoid peer pressure of any sort. I just said no, and that was that, I had no reason to do something I didn't want to just for benefit of someone else. Apparently, having a girlfriend makes you stupid, and two weekends ago I fell for the pressure. Perhaps I was just showing off, perhaps I felt luck was on my side, or perhaps being in presence of our desire just makes us certifiable mentally challenged. Whatever the case may be, I was somehow conned into participating in the Buffalo Wild Wings, Blazing wing challenge. Whats the Blazing wing challenge you say? Well around here we have a restaurant called buffalo wild wings, and it serves wings with all sorts of sauces, one of the sauces is very hot, we are talking chemically hot. Its the kind of hot that absolutely no one in their right mind eats for the taste, since any taste their was, disappears as your taste buds burn off. Don't look at me however, my good friends Aran and Rob confidently talked us all into giving it a shot, even though I mostly despise anything spicy. I tried to pansy out, especially when they brought out the waivers you needed to sign (apparently a few people have had seizures while attempting to complete the challenge) Anyway my lovely mate, convinced me to sign the sheet and agreed to be my witness. So then the wings came out, the rules are as follows, you must eat 12 of the blazing wings, clean to the bone, in under 6 minutes, no beverages, no additional foods, and no hope. Not to be undone by my friends I dived right in, I focused my self and tried to turn my self off from the pain. Apparently my oh so cockey friends didn't bring their a game, Aran finished 6 wings before giving up and Rob finished 4 wings before giving up. I stupidly kept going. I actually had a bit of a strategy in the way I ate the wings but I'll spare you the nitty gritty details. Anyway I one the challenge, winning a t-shirt, my picture on the wall, and bragging rights against my friends. Let me tell you though, the hard part was not so much the Blazing Wing Challenge, but rather the Blazing Bathroom Challenge the day after...

First post and an Idea
Posted 18 years agoHi, this is my first post here, this site looks like a good place to encourage myself to get back into what little art-like projects I used to do before. That being said I am looking for a brave artist to perhaps provide a piece of art work of theirs that they feel could use some animation. Nothing to crazy, maybe some eyes blinking and small head and body movements. I work with flash a lot and I enjoy seeing some of the animated furry flash work out there but I can't draw worth a crap. So maybe I can team up with someone who can draw, and help them out by animating a bit for them, to provide a bit more "realism" (if you could call it such a thing) Anyway I have to go now but I'll try to post some small examples of previous flash work.
