what a hell of a weekend!!!
Posted 12 years agoThis weekend i trained for a large NATO wargame in Northern Norway.
It almost rained from start to end. We were on a pressed time Schedule and with every road turned into a muddy pulp it became quite defficult to stick the Schedule.
During the saturday morning we were out in the rain fighting in the squads we had been placed in and after that we had a half to change into our GYM clothes and then had to run 3 km within 15 mins.
The rest of the day was preparing for night patrols.
The night patrols went well, after trying to sneak close to the enemy wading through small streams that were knee Deep, climbing the banks of the streams which was more or less mud that collapsed at the slightest weight, we were spotted and had to retreat though we found us a bridge.
So soaking wet half the squad tried Again while the rest of us, stood still in the Wind freezing like hell, keeping an eye out for enemy movements.
after an hour and twenty minutes the scouts returned and we went back to camp. Walking for a Little over a half hour.
Sunday morning started early and then we left camp to attack the scouted areas. The attacks went well and after attacking the enemy positions we proceeded attacking their second positions. Attacking up hill is never fun.
The attack went like shit, my squad did well but the rest fucked up.
And you know what? It rained all sunday too so it was nothing but mud and Water we fought in.
So in the end what a hell of a weekend, but damn it was fun :)

Happy liberation day!!!!
Posted 12 years agoSo yesterday was the fourth of may, the day when Denmark were liberated from the german occupation
The Danish homeguard celebrated it yesterday with parades, medals and flowers to the Danish freedom fighters who diead during the war.
For 68 years ago this radio message (see link) was played to denmark, during the broadcast the speaker is told that the germans have capitulated from the Fifth of May.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78pDhZb8hZo
Its a very touching broadcast and the speaker is later known to have said that it was the most defficult day of his professional life as a speaker, he fought against himself, fightining against cheering and yelling. He succeeded and the very moment this happened, a stroke of luck had made a man record the event and therefor we can still hear it today.
Længe Danmark, længe leve friheden.

Worst game i have ever played in my life "WARNING"
Posted 12 years agoTo all fans of Dragon age: Origins this is a HUGE WARNING Dragon age 2 is to be avoided at all cost. Dont look at the reviews they are lies trying to cash in on one of gaming historys worst games in existance.
Reuse of areas are a constant
Really bad history that is three different and short badly written sections without any bigger conection
Horrible horrible written characters by the end of this game you wont be caring for anyone in this game they are all whiners, lousy loosers, boring, extremely linear, badly written and soulless
Seriously lacking RPG elements
Boring designed background and areas
Redesign of old characters from something that worked to something that just doesnt work its downright ugly and a mis mash of badly made ideas
No consquences in your choices, nothing you do is really important
No rpg anymore what there is forgetable and if you skip through it you'll get the same amount of information from people
The game is over priced
Bad dialog
Bad dialog choices, what you choose is not the same as what you say
No real connection with the first game except for a few REALLY badly written moments that is on the brink to start ruining the first game
All in all this game has the potential to ruin this franchise, be alarmed that a third instalment in this series is about to air be watchfull and dont buy it on realise date wait for it to get cheap there a rumors saying that it will pick up where the second left.

Oh dear lord, arent we better than that`? -.-
Posted 12 years agoSeriously this is way to much drama for what its worth.
Im tired of it and im not alone. There has been way to much talking behind peoples back for too long from both sides. One accusses the other and so forth. One side blame all of DKfurs the others try to defend it. Problem is both harm DKfurs thrpugh their actions. Non of them are doing anything to futher any improvement just more hatred, back talking, misunderstanding and irretation. These jounals will futher no cause neither defenders or accusers.
Both sides in this story has a part to blame in it. Back talking started long before this became obvious to the rest of the world and it didnt stop when people parted it got worse.
I dont care which side is right or wrong anymore. Because both sides have gone beyond that. Now its about who can make the other more sad and miserable.
Its a wonder we still call us a upon community, because with this much hatred and bullying we arent upon at all.
Im not taking sides in this, there person whom i like and dislike on both sides of this debate/ rage/ bullying/ back talking. I wont say i support either, I'm just getting sick of it, it has stood on for too long.
And if anyone should have missed what im talking about here it is:

Posted 12 years agoWell yesterday i got the news that on next tuesday i have to hand in the LMG im serving in the homeguard with. Its a old MG3 or also known as MG62 are modern version of the old MG42 from ww2.
Its to me a sad day but at least it will be used for international missions and not just for the homeguard here in Denmark.

This is some serious shit... (not a joke)
Posted 13 years agoWhen going on a tour with the danish military there is a few things that needs to be preparede before you leave. Before you get the papers stuck into your paw you walk around jokig about going and making fun of every thing and having a laugh with you platoon mates and so.
Then you get some papers that will change your perspective quite a bit. Papers, that even though you know that where your going there is no real threat, makes you think again.
The papers im talking about is "your last will" and farewell letters.
For those of you who have never written any of those before or dont know what it is then its papers that a nescarry incase that you die during action.
"your last will" is were you make your descision on how you want to be buried, what you want to wear in your coffin, what music that you want to be played and which songs you want to be song.
Farewell letters is pretty is to guess what is :/
Its not that difficult to finish "your last will" its retty straight forward and easy to write.
No the difficult part is to write your farewell letters to your parents and loved ones. What would you want to say to those you leave behind, how do you want to say it and how do you say goodbye, this is some of the most defficult i have ever tried in my life to write.

furry Interview
Posted 13 years agoTomorrow im going to be interviewed by a journalist student on the subject furry fandom.
Normaly i have quite a distrust towards journalists but then again he is still a student and for what it is worth ill give him a chance and being a student myself i know how hard it is to get a good person to interview or one that cooperates or at least want to.
That and he havent been spoiled by colleeges yet.

April 9
Posted 13 years ago"Never more shall there an april 9"
So is the danish homeguards moto from its foundation in 1949 and up till today.
April 9 is a special day for many a homeguard soldier, this marks the day of the start of the danish occupation during world war 2. Its a shamefull day which we will never repeat.
When the war ended, Denmark were left with thousands of freedom fighters all eager to fight for denmarks cause. A spirit they shouldnt be left with. So therefor the danish homeguard were raised from the ashes of th freedom fighters under the moto "never more an april 9"
"Guard what we love most, join the homeguard"

The first tests havent started yet, but the first step on the road to kosovo for me, is over for now.

Peace
Posted 14 years agoSomebody once said: The soldier above all prays for peace.
I'm in the danish homeguard and now and then when I'm uniform and passes by young immigrants they tries to taunt me with "our troops out of afghanista" i for one know why we are fighting in afghinastan but i think its so very that knows why. Well i dont care what they think so they waste their time.
But my question is, why do people direct their hatred against a war towards those who havent made the choice to start it. I know we are those who fight the war but we didnt choose to fight it.
