Damn, it's been a week that fast?

Anywho, you all know the drill. :>

Just as the title states!

I figured the AaP series was starting to get a little out of hand, especially since I've been sorta strapped for time lately.

However! I think these weekly sessions will suffice.

I'M BACK.

Yeah, I was finally able to get a new internet service. Although it's not as fast as Xfinity....it's something.

Anywho, I assumed it would be the best time to let everyone know. Since I just got connected about an hour ago, lol.

I think it's safe to say that after being stripped of my connection to the online world, I've been given an opportunity to see society for what it really is.

And when being confined in a high school environment, it makes my reasoning that much more understandable.

For instance, I've actually taken the time to learn more about others who I see on a daily basis, get a chance to share happiness with friends I didn't even know I had, and realized that school...isn't really as bad as people say it is.

Now of course, I could be better off than most whose experiences may not have been all that decent. But from what I have learned online and off, I think how you handle situations matter more than where it happens. At least that's what I believe.

And to be honest, looking back at my reputation--not just on the site, but the whole community in general--I think the whole 'furry' fad is a bit...outplayed now. Like, no joke. It's sometimes hard to even look at.

Now, don't get me wrong, I can definitely understand others' purposes for doing scheduled services like commissions and whatnot. But lately all I've been seeing is a vast amount of porn, memes, and pointless drama. Usually this would be considered the norm. But some people just treat it like...like it's their destiny to be a furfag or something.

This isn't directed at everyone. Yes, specific people, but their names will not be mentioned obviously. Too much shit has gone down due to me not learning about the consequences of that a long time ago.

BUT. I digress.

I think this unplanned break has helped me appreciate life for what it really is. And to not rely on the internet and online peers to solve all my problems for me.

So after reading what everyone has had to say, I think it's about time I come to a reasonable conclusion.

I've decided that as long as I give her character a legit revamp (e.g. female genitalia), Panini will be reverted back to her original design.

It's not that I don't enjoy the current concept; but after seeing a lot of things happening from a different POV, whether it be online or off, it's shifted my own perspective on how I should carry myself.

That being said, I don't think that the current Panini would be a good reflection of my personality, even if it's just a simple fursona. I don't even see the issue that serious to the point where I have to pull the whole 'don't like it, idgaf she's my character' gag.

Right now, I think it would be better to roll along with oldnini. Besides, she doesn't push the boundaries as much as currentnini does. After what I've been through in the last couple months, I should just go along and take a huge break from the fandom altogether.

But, as said, it's not that serious. Lack of internet/phone/cable alone is helping me enough.

Does this mean you guys will never see currentnini again? No.

Maybe she'll be used for another concept. We'll see.

Lately I've gotten so much shit from my cousins about her design, her personality, and how I was inspired to draw her. Unfortunately, it relates to my mother and her characteristics as an indivudual.

It just...sends chills down my spine.

So as I stated a while ago, my cable and internet has been out for about 3 weeks now. Along with my phone being fatally busted, it'll be quite some time before it gets replaced.

Trust me. If you knew my mother, you'd understand why. :U

I've still been drawing on and off, but I've also been shifting off to other productive activities. Somehow whenever I'm not distracted by the Internet, I get a lot more stuff done than usual.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like mom will be paying Xfinity anytime soon, so idk about cable. But she's looking into a new internet plan with another company.

To be honest, I don't really give a fuck who she pays. I just want our internet back, goddamnit. ;-;

So until things get settled, I'll be checking back here every now and then just to see how you all are doing.

Anywho, for those who have been wondering, my cable/internet has been out for 2 weeks now. The typical teenager would be dying of boredom around this time.

I've been at my grandparents' house since this past Saturday, playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii. :D

I'm on World 5-1 right now. Fun as hell. I died way too many times, though; due to the input lag on the faulty Wiimote. BUT IDFC IT'S HD MARIO.

...of course NSMBU just came out, but fuckthatshit.
I don't have the money to buy myself a Wii U. Yet.

My phone's also been acting sorta wonky. And the sad part is, I KNOW how to fix it.

I downloaded an app that somehow caused my phone to force reboot, then continue rebooting infinitely. The usual solution for this is just to hard reset.

One problem. Hard keys stopped working months ago.

Worst. Cockblock. Ever.

So I'll probably be getting a new phone before the 7th of January. But my cable/internet will definitely be back on before then, so no worries.

I'll just be commuting back and forth between my grandparents' and cousins'.

But seriously. This is something that I've been thinking about for a long time now.

Unfortunately I'm starting to become dissatisfied with my artistic talent, due to relying on this...somewhat controversial fandom.

I don't hate it, necessarily. It's just pitiful how some people actually treat this as a carefree cult.

I still love and respect my friends.

But some of the decisions others make, whether it's physically, emotionally, or financially...it gets so out of hand.

So I know what you're thinking. Just leave entirely.
But what good would that do?

I'm no quitter. But sometimes there's a limit as to how much I can withstand in one sitting.

I don't want to be involved with people who only care about porn and collecting art as if it was a sport.

THIS ISN'T INCLUDING EVERYONE. But some things just have to be said.

I don't wish to socialize with those who treat artists like gods (or pawns, depending on the person). It's really disappointing to know that there are popufurs out there who forget about their irl troubles and decide to indulge themselves with porn of their so-called 'characters', simply for the purpose of gaining popularity.

I know that not every person within this fandom has that mentality. But the amount that /does/ exist is already too much in my opinion.

But I digress. What does this have to do with me?

Well, it's affecting my artistic motivation. Like, I don't want others' first impressions of Panini to consider her a slut.

I only interpret that prophecy because I've asked others if I tend to milk her personality a little too much. From one perspective, she'll most likely be seen as a carefree individual who just so happens to partake in provocative actions and gestures, although not entirely aware of the propaganda that follows.

From another perspective, however...she can just be your everyday furry prostitute with no character whatsoever.

I think a bit of revamping is in order.

Does this mean that Panini will be gone forever? Not likely.

But I refuse to allow her to be affiliated with the negatives of this community. It's already bad enough as it is.

I was speaking with my English teacher and he has told me that he is good friends with the manager at our local McDonald's.

He also said that if I apply, he can easily put a word in.
So the job interview will be a cakewalk.

Now onto a...different topic.

Lately I've been having some issues with a certain commissioner who shall continue to be unmentioned publicly (keyword: publicly). I don't think that my current predicament that's literally threatening my life financially is more important than their sexual needs.

Let me put this in a more understandable way.

I cannot give out any refunds at this time. My spending limit is up on Paypal, which means that I either have to apply for a debit card to become verified, or link a bank account (more than likely my grandmother's, which means putting myself under her name).

There is nothing I can do about it until either one of those objectives are completed. Now that this is pointed out, I hope that said commissioner, along with any future commissioners, will not have any problem with this whatsoever.

And if you DO decide to spread rumors about me being 'untrustworthy' as an artist, then good for you.

I know those who still appreciates me as a human being. And not some god like most furries treat artists.

I have too much to worry about instead of wasting my hard-earned money on porn.


Anywho, that's it for now.

I know, this is considered a controversial topic, mainly because I shouldn't really "care" about others' opinions on my reputation but myself.

But I'm just curious. Should I feel discouraged? I mean, don't get me wrong; I love doing what I do. No question. But does it really mean much to others that have been around way longer than I have? Like, years?

I'm not really upset or anything. Just feeling a bit uneasy about what I've been contributing to the fandom so far. Am I helping it? Hurting it?
