Early happy Halloween wishes for all of you and I should probably add all the holidays of the next few months as well. Tell me what you've all been up to while I've been away.
Maybe by this point it's not surprising, but I'm checking in again and finding 9500 submissions to go through... Wow. Can't believe I'm saying it, but some of you guys need to post less so I have a chance to catch up LOL I'm weird when it comes to going through messages, so I can't just nuke them. Gotta get all of a particular artist's posts taken care of in the same sitting, so I'm sure some of you have noticed fave bombs by now... but that's what I get for letting everything pile up for almost a year. That said, I really wish FA had a better way of processing your inbox.

Since my last journal was three years old, just wanted to get rid of that and do a little update on what's been happening with me lately.
In that time a lot happened. My grandmother passed away, my job had its up and downs, and just at the start of this year, I started a new job altogether. Things are a lot better, but still not quite the best. For all that goes well, it kinda highlights what is still missing in a way that really makes you think. In my case that sends me into bouts of depression off and on throughout the year.
But anyway, this new job is great, but it leaves me very busy and then when I'm off I'm pretty worn out. I usually end up wanting to game with friends, go out, or just collapse and fall asleep most evenings and weekends. Not much energy for art in the past year and no tablet to do digital work with anyway. Also I've fallen incredibly behind on checking messages... as it is right now I have close to 5500 here that are just submissions, so I'm gradually working through those. Clear out 100 only for 200 to pop in the next day X3 If you're an artist I watch and notice a sudden fave bomb from me, that's the reason why.

Posted 10 years agoYep, turned 24 today... Also kinda find it funny it falls on Paw Day and I have so many friends into them X3 But anyway, on the 23rd, I'll be heading to the beach for 10 days. So I'll be more available on Skype and such hopefully. My laptop still wants to crash on me, but i've already ordered a new one that I'll get delivered just as I return home. Also probably going to get another tattoo while I'm there too.
Back, yet not back
Posted 10 years agoWell, I have all my programs back, which means I can make art again. The problem now is that aside from work, I'm just not really in a mood to work on pictures. I've been depressed for a while now and the medication I'm taking doesn't seem to make me feel better like I'm told it should. Add in the side effects I could face, which I already dealt with on the previous medication before this one, and it just doesn't leave me feeling inspired at all.

Posted 10 years agoBut my laptop is pretty well screwed, so I'm typing this with my kindle and pretty much unable to work on any art or write until I get a new laptop. Luckily I have pretty much all of my files duplicated on my external drive, so I'm pretty sure I haven't lost anything I had done or was in the process of working on.
Skype is also harder to do with my kindle, so I'm not logging in much. Those of ya that know my number and email or other sites I'm on can message me through them and of course here. Hopefully I get a new laptop soon.

My first FA journal ever...

The front end suspension of his vehicle needs to be repaired/replaced. I and several of his other friends have helped him with parts and money, but he's still in need. This isn't merely a request for him, but also for his mother who has terminal lung cancer and needs to be shuttled around for treatment all over his town. Cabs are too expensive and the bus is too dirty for her in her condition, so he is the only means she can travel by, not to mention being able to get food and other essentials.
