Power outage resolved
Posted 2 years agoIt happened overnight at 12:30 while I was sleeping. Apparently it was due to a wire problem that happen when the storm hit.
But rest assured, everything works again. So I'm good now

Just Goddamn Great!
Posted 2 years agoI’m feeling rather pissed off. Today went from normal to disastrous.
I come home from work after a busy and tiring day. I started to get relaxed and enjoy my upcoming two days, when all of a sudden a storm hits my town. And the next thing I know, the storm knocks out the power all over my neighborhood, plus my front porch got damaged by a big tree branch that fell off a tree in our yard.
No power means no phone charger, no laptop charger, all the kitchen appliances are off, including the refrigerators and freezers. And furthermore, I can’t even watch TV in my room until the power is restored.
Thankfully my dad brought out the mobile generator so that we have some power to hold us over, but that’s about it.
Currently trying my best to keep a cool head about this so that I don’t get stressed out, but on the plus side, at least I don’t have to go to work tomorrow, so that’s somewhat of a relief.
Hopefully I’ll make it through this until the power is back. I really hope so.

Posted 2 years agoLike the journal title says, I'm doing okay now. I'll be fine, just been a little stressed and angry with stuff on and off the internet.
Plus I've been recovering from a cold which has persisted for the last couple of days. Still got some coughs left, but I'll manage.

Clarification made- Plus I'm Sticking Around!
Posted 2 years agoWith this policy being talked about all over, and following the recent clarification of the topic, I'm going to keep my eyes open and see what happens.
And on a side note, I am not going to leave here. I've been here since 2014 and I still will be.
Other places where I can be found at are on Discord (where I'm called MegaTyrannosaur), and DA, which is where I first started out. More recently, I started an account on Newgrounds (haven't really posted there yet), with the same name as my Discord name.
But for the most part, I'll still be active on FA. Met a lot of cool friends here and I'm not leaving anytime soon.

Just recently watched the Mario movie! WAHOO!
Posted 2 years agoLET'S-A-GOOOOOOO, WAHOO!
Sorry, couldn't resist the urge to do that. ^_^;
For so long I've waited for this movie, and now I finally got to see it!
It was an experience I will remember for as long as I live. It was exciting, it was funny, and it was entertaining to.
I absolutely loved it, not only as a longtime Mario series fan, but also as a movie goer.
Anyway, seeing that movie was worth the wait for me. I hope it gets a sequel, provided how well it does in the long run.

Kaiju Profile: Dragera
Posted 2 years agoWhat's up folks, Mega here.
So for what I'm doing here in journals, I'm going to be posting the profiles for each of my six main kaiju that are to be featured in my own original canon. Plus, that same canon will also crossover with another original kaiju canon I planned that centers around my own versions of Godzilla and other official kaiju.
In addition, I'll also be doing journals that talk about lore within my universes.
Anyway, on with the profile.
Species: Tridragosaurus
Height: 108 meters
Weight: 79,000 metric tons
Bio: In the year 1949, sudden claims of a mystery creature being spotted near a mountain range in the dead of night began to sweep through the press, which spurred the government into sanctioning a military operation to find and identify the creature, with orders to kill it if necessary. Their search in the area yielded surprising results when they bared witness to a huge colossal reptile-like beast making it's presence known, standing over 108 meters in height. Unfortunately, things quickly went awry when the giant began to launch an attack after being agitated by a trigger happy soldier who struck it with a tank blast. Despite the military putting up a worthy fight, the beastly creature was unaffected as it brushed off their attacks, decimating half of their forces one by one before venturing away while a news crew watched it from above in a helicopter. When the incident was published the following day, various news media began referring to the giant as a "Kaiju", a term used to describe creatures of enormous, monstrous sizes, with some even giving this individual the nickname "Dragera". One such person, a scientist named Sam Lansen, became astonished by the kaiju's sudden appearance, recognizing it as a member of a long lost ancient species known as Tridragosaurus.
But little did the public know there was more to this than meets the eye.
In the following year of 1950, a submarine sent on an aquatic exploration assignment was soon reported missing following a sudden attack by an unknown assailant, resulting in the death of the whole crew onboard. Numerous search operations were conducted around the ocean to uncover the mystery behind the attack, but despite the best efforts, all were unsuccessful. However, the phenomenon was far from over as more reports of further attacks at sea begin to occur, starting with the destruction of a deep sea fishing boat, followed by the sinking of an ocean liner the next morning. Though the latter incident was dismissed as being caused by an exploding engine, a young survivor left traumatized by the near death experience was convinced that it was something else entirely, yet he lacked proper evidence to back up his claims.
At the same time, coincidentally, Dragera's appearances started becoming more frequent, which baffled many who saw him. Notable appearances include said Kaiju being sighted marching through a large valley before eventually being seen traveling along a beach, but was surprisingly non-hostile to the random civilians who witnessed him up close. With this display of sudden behavior, Dr. Lansen was led to deduce that his previous attack on the military was more out of self defense rather than active malice. Though little could be said about his true purpose for being active, Lansen was under the instant impression that Dragera was on patrol for something, yet he couldn't decipher what it was the kaiju was after.
Lansen would soon discover that Dragera was not the only giant beast around. Later during a stormy night, another more fish-like kaiju emerged out of the ocean, destroying a passing cargo ship before venturing towards land. It began a hostile rampage through a local village, leaving death and destruction in it's wake as it went on until eventually setting it's sights upon a city. Military forces scrambled to intercept it, but proved to be no match and were immediately demolished.
But then suddenly, Dragera arrived and let out an aggressive roar before proceeding to attack the other beast in a titanic clash, leading Lansen to the revelation that Dragera had been hunting it all along, indicating that the two were enemies. The giants battled for what seemed like hours, leading to a destructive climax in the center of the city where Dragera would emerge victorious by impaling his opponent's chest with his two massive horns, killing it.
Dragera would then retreat from the area, with no further sightings of him being reported afterwards. However, Lansen was positive that this would not be the last he sees of Dragera or any other giant creature.
The way he saw it, this would turn out to be start of a whole new era to come.
The Age of Kaiju.... had now begun.
Appearance: As a Tridragosaurus, Dragera has notable features that make him stand out amongst various kaiju. He possesses a dark green hide covered with rough and blunt scales, a dark tan chest and torso, a long and powerful tail, two muscular arms with three clawed fingers and an opposable thumb on each hand, strong legs supported by plantigrade feet with four clawed toes, a short neck, a row of small triangular spines ranging from his back to the base of his tail, and a large reptilian head with forward facing orange eyes, a slightly elongated dragon-like snout and a mouth full of banana shaped teeth, though the most noted feature of Dragera is the large curved horns that protrude above his brows and a single horn on his snout, similar to Triceratops, suggesting signs of convergent evolution.
Behavior: Dragera is a surprisingly calm and usually reserved kaiju. He pays very little mind to people and prefers to ignore them, only reacting to them with indifference should they somehow get his attention, but is not above protecting them on occasion. Despite this, he has no qualms with getting violent towards people who actively attack him and will retaliate instantly, as demonstrated when he lashed out at a military unit due to a reckless soldier attacking him with a tank. The same can somewhat be said for his interaction with other kaiju, as he is able to recognize kaiju that pose a threat, such as the one he hunted and fought in 1950. In fact, this behavior is further showcased overtime as he will aggressively seek out any hostile kaiju that wreaks havoc, refusing to stop until he finds his target. In contrast, he is also able to identify kaiju that are no threat to him and will immediately choose to spare or even protect them.
Abilities and weaknesses: As one of the most powerful kaiju alive, Dragera is without a doubt a beast not to be taken lightly. His most basic attribute is his immense strength, being capable of lifting large objects and even beating on or tossing around other kaiju, including those that exceed him in size and weight. His jaws are also useful in close quarters combat as he will sometimes bite his opponents if given the chance, going so far as to bite off their limbs if enough force is applied.
Aside from this, his tail is also a capable weapon that he will use as a means of knocking his enemies off balance by sweeping it under their feet, next to stopping their charges or stunning them with a heavy hit to the head, leaving them vulnerable long enough for Dragera to gain the upper hand. Even his horns have been occasionally used for injuring or impaling opponents, which he does via charging headfirst.
Should the opportunity arise, Dragera will utilize an energy based attack in which he charges energy into his horns before firing it out through his mouth, usually in the form of an energy projectile. But if this proves ineffective, he will instead, as a last resort, fire out a destructive blast of energy that can potentially cripple or even kill monsters depending on how much power he puts into the blast. How he gained this ability stems from being exposed to radiation from a meteorite that crashed near his home in the mountains during the 2000's.
Although he appears to look brutish when he fights, Dragera has been known to showcase a form of intelligence in which he figures out ways to potentially turn the tide of battle.
But despite Dragera's capabilities, he is not invincible and can still be hurt. While he is highly resistant to conventional weaponry, his hide can be penetrated when struck by attacks that are too powerful to endure. He has even been stunned or knocked out by other monsters such as the highly aggressive and battle driven Brawnagras, his rival, who's rock hard tail club proved capable of disorienting Dragera when striking his head. Other monsters who have proven more than able to rival or even surpass him include Paraga, Beelzegar, and King Chaon.
Due to Dragera's combat style mostly being terrestrial, if he is facing a monster in the water, he will find himself at a disadvantage if said monster uses the water to maneuver around and attack him from all sides.
Dragera's horns can also be problematic to him, with some opponents grabbing hold of them as a way to stop his charges and sometimes topple him down. His tail has also been grabbed when he uses it, leading to him being potentially swung around and tossed aside.
While his beam attack is powerful, it does not always prove useful, as some kaiju have been able to resist or even shrug off the blasts with limited to no effort. He must also conserve the energy, as using too much of it can leave him exhausted.
